This is my first time to try Chanel. Well, I love the texture not too creamy. In my face (after I used face primer) I found looked more natural (I used 30 Beige) well but not for the price. Too pricey.

I was looking for my pale/winter shade. Since I have very yellow toned skin, It's difficult to find a light~yellow toned foundation that's not too orangey or drown out by a chalky white powdery finish. When I sampled #10 'Beige' the color was an instant match! It was a shade lighter than my skin--but it completely smoothed over my acne scars and redness. One pump can deliver a full face's worth of coverage so little is ever gone to waste. I used my fingers to apply this one because of how smoothly it spreads. However, it doesn't seem that you can open the bottle to get those last few pumps (if you reach that point). But the price seemed great for 1oz and dense coverage. The application is creamy, light, and *feels* moisturizing. It oxidizes slowly, and dries slightly darker than when it's fresh out the bottle. *CONS* this foundation is VERY difficult to touch up or apply powder, bronzer, highlighter etc. ANYTHING onto of it, just NO. Wearing it alone (after 5 hours of work) I tried to smooth out the smile lines around my mouth... DON'T TOUCH IT after it dries!!!!!!!!!! It doesn't move whatsoever, it smudges like a cheap waxy crayon consistency! It moves in sheets/flakes and has NO mobility! Your skin will show underneath and look like a creepy melted halloween mask. This really disappointed me! It has a matte finish but your natural oil comes through like glistening beads. It gets worse! I got some smudged on my earrings and coat just from natural movement. It won't come off my coat even after it was dry-cleaned and it TARNISHED my earrings! Simply put, it has a nasty residue in places even after cleansing. The area around my nose and right near my ears/cheeks had goopy leftover foundation that just wouldn't budge. This tells me the ingredients are killer for pores! I got three huge clogged pores that eventually turned black no matter how hard I tried to clean/extract/treat them!!!!! OVERALL I loved the look: color and matte sheen. The feel: fresh, light, faux-hydrating, and... The coverage: medium to full. Fragranced. Enough said. I would NOT reccomend this to anyone with dry skin, or acne. Its all for show. I think this is suitable for mature skin or someone who doesn't need touch ups. It photographs well and stays in place for sure but don't even THINK about touching it up! It defeats anyone who is trying to maintain healthy skin I can assure you! Beware.

I got this at Macy in shade 30 Beige and passed my test. I look for foundation that give me light to medium coverage. This foundation last on my normal to dry skin for 8 hours. This foundation doesn't look matte on me more of satin finished and people with large pore this doesn't make them look more noticeable. Love it. This is now my favorite along with Givenchy Teint Conture and Dior Star . Those three are my Favorites out there.

I have repurchased this product about five times and every time I run out I plan to repurchase as it is simply the best foundation I've tried for my dry skin. It's good coverage and the smell is divine. For people with dry skin who need good coverage this Chanel foundation is miles better than any of the others available at this moment in time. I do recommend this product I do love it and rely on it

I used this foundation for roughly 6 months when weather was warmer as wanted a slightly lighter coverage than Estée Lauder double wear, it was lovely and light, a good match in colour, and fairly natural looking, perfect for summer when most people's skin is at its best. As the weather changed and my skin also did I just found it was quite enough, also it is not very long lasting as I have oily skin so was constantly blotting and putting on setting powder. So I have gone back to double wear for the winter, as central heating seems to reek havoc with my skin and melts off make up worse than the sun itself! It's a bit over priced for what it is, I had expected better to be honest. Iv been recommened Mac studio fix to try as I like to look 'made up' and have a full coverage so that is next on my list to try! If you want a light to medium coverage semi matte foundation that doesn't dry your skin out and you like to look fairly natural you would prob be impressed with this foundation. I'm 50/50 on it

This foundation is hilariously overpriced. I wanted to find a foundation that was full coverage and long lasting so I was referred to this one by two different Chanel reps. I had heard good things about it from various youtube makeup artists, etc. I’ve broke it down in a list..

- It has no coverage whatsoever. The amount of foundation I had to use to cover up the slightest scars is ridiculous. And it didn’t even cover them. Very sheer. I’m talking like after you put this on OVER concealer..and my concealer is good.
- This is essentially for people who already have pretty good skin. If you have acne scars or acne in general, stay away.
- Even people who have great skin should stay away since it does not last at all. At the end of the day, it looks like I barely have foundation on.
- It is VERY natural looking. Probably why it fades so fast.
- The color “40 Beige” was literally the perfect match for my skintone. I’m NW35, Ivory Beige in Estee Lauder DW, Golden Caramel in Revlon, etc.

This foundation isn't great, it lasts approx 3 hours then it starts to slide off. I have an oily t zone and normal cheeks, even on my cheeks it slides off. It almost looks grainy and in the natural day light you can see the foundation has settled into pores. I still have a full bottle in my drawer and was NOT worth the money.

I used to love Perfection Lumiere in #54 Beige Ambre. It matched my skin almost perfectly. Unfortunately, Chanel discontinued that color. The other day I was matched again to #70 Beige. It was very ashy for my complexion. I'm warm with golden undertones and this made me look pale as if I were ill. The consistency of this product was not too runny. It was thick but not gel like. It had the consistency of a new bottle of their high end nail polish. The coverage was great but as I stated earlier, the color was wrong. I would not purchase this again unless, Chanel brings back or adds a color similar to mine.

I'm always on sheer foundation. It looks very nice in my skin and natural. But after a few hours, my T-zone becomes very oily and I hate it when someone take a photo of me cause my face look oily mess.
