On contrast to most of the other reviews who find the scent boring, I LOVE this perfume - and it is the only one I have I never get tired of!

I absolutely hate heavy sweet floral scents, and I am not to keen on very fresh sporty scents either - and this one is just in between!

The scent is very light and on me it smells even better than in the bottle! I always get compliments when I wear it, and even from strangers!

I feel like I smell clean when I wear it, like newly washed bedsheets and rain!

And I recently found out it won in a perfume contest here in scandinavia where 2000 men had to smell 100 different perfumes and pick the one they liked the most :D So I guess most guys aren't keen on heavy scents either!

As the scent changes on you (like most perfumes) I would advice you try to spray some on you, and see if it "fits" :)

I love it so much!

I often wished they came up with a sweeter version of this series and they have now. Only, it smells kind of flat, dull and tired on me. I'll have to pass. 2.5

Got a free sample of this yesterday. Thought I'd try it before giving it away, to see if I had suddenly changed my mind about this kind of smell. I haven't. This is still too uninteresting. It has no depth, and I don't know if this is going to make sense to anyone, but it has no wisdom. It smells kind of dumb. Perhaps it's the lack of layers in it. When you spray it on it smells fresh, I guess, and then it just sits there and does nothing.

Will give this sample to someone I don't see every day.

I have this in a rollerball duo with "Be Delicious" as the other scent and "Golden Delicious" is just okay. It has some notes of sweetness and apples, but there is something else I can't quite put my finger on that drags it down. Otherwise I would probably like it a lot more. It just isn't for me. The only way I would buy it again is if I get the rollerball duo, but only for the "Golden Delicious."

The 'delicious' perfumes have always seemed a bit childish to me. However, this one seems to be a more grown up and sweeter version, and stays on me for a long time. I would say it's a nice, easy everyday perfume with notes of orange blossom, apple, honeysuckle and vanilla. Good, but a bit generic for my taste. I probably wouldn't repurchase, but I think it's a good one for highschool girls and the set is a pretty good deal.

I have bought 100 ml of this perfume, and I am very fond of it. Sure, it is not a unique smell, in the senese, that there have been other perfumes, that smells quite similar, but it is (on me, at least) a very nice, sensual, but not heavy smell, that I can wear on a daily basis, and it never gives me headache. The problem (for me) with many perfumes is, that if they are just a bit strong/heavy (often the "sensual" perfumes are) it gives me headache+that my husband dislikes them, and the fresh smells are just so nice but a bit indifferent-smelling-not sensual at all. This one is fresh, but still not heavy, and I never get headaches from it. On my skin it lasts the whole day. I dont think it has any similarities to shampoo, and I would not consider it a "clean" smell, it is too "warm" for that. I would describe it as warm, round and elegant, fit for both the daytime and the evening/parties
I love the perfume!

I think the name could use some work. I picked up on the top note of golden delicious apple, but it quickly wore off after the first five minutes of wear. It dried down to a floral/sandalwood note that really threw me off. It wasn't overpowering, just different and not what I expected from something "Golden Delicious". The shampoo comparisons I get--old school Herbal Essences has same musk and rose note this perfume has. I don't get the soapy impression. It wore on me about 5 hours (which is a long time for me) and before it was entirely gone it was basically a powdery remnant of its former self. I like it, and I'd buy it again, but it's not going to be my everyday thing.

This is a very boring, generic scent to me. Also kind of stale smelling. I did receive a sample of this so maybe it is old? I don't get much apples or fruit from it. I will not buy.

I dont get the shampoo comments, shampoo doesnt come to mind when I smell it though...it isnt really sensual , but it is soft in a creamy way, I find it attractive in the way it stays on me, and the best of the Golden Delicious also, not sharp or apple crisp either!
so not outstanding but still real nice!

I got a deluxe sample of this from one of the sephora sampler sets. I do like the scent; it's very fresh and light smelling, so perfect for the summer. It does, however, remind me of a few shampoos that I've used. Also, it doesn't last very long... I find that after 3 or 4 hours, its basically gone, so you'd have to reapply halfway through the day. While I do like this scent, I'm not spending $50+ on a perfume that smells like shampoo. I'd rather spend my money on a scent that is more unique and less generic

I'm no perfume connoisseur, but I really love this scent and am confused by the bad reviews as well. To me, it's really light, fresh, and fruity and embodies the "delicious" in its name. A great go-to daily scent.

Edit: I realized I am sensitive to lily, which is one of the notes in this perfume, so I can't say I love it anymore.

I am not a fan of DKNY "apple" fragrances but I think that Golden Delicious is the best perfume by Donna Karan. It is slighly sweet but not too much, very playful and summery scent, really can feel a scent of apples. I also love the name and color (yellow) of bottle.
My sister gave me green apple Be Delicious (she didn't liek it) but I did not like it either. Golden Delicious is much better and I would use it, if I had it. But specially won't buy.

This is a pleasant, light fragrance. Slightly fruity but nothing too sweet and edible. Rather springe-y and ideal for daytime and officewear. Average lasting power. I enjoyed my sample but I would not purchase a full bottle, as I find it rather generic.

I really like this scent. Golden Delicious is one of the best perfumes in my opinion by Donna Karan. Sure, it's not the most original scent, but it's a very nice and appealing one! It does stay strong-smelling for a long time, so no re-spraying, thank god. It is not the most pricey perfume out there- frankly, I think it's a great deal. I also love the little apple-shaped bottle it comes in.

I'm surprised that this perfume has such bad reviews. I picked this as one of my samples from my latest Sephora order, along with two other perfumes that I actually had higher hopes for - this was just the only other sample that interested me even a little bit, so I figured, why not?

Ironically, this is my favorite of the three samples that I received, and my fiance absolutely loves the scent, too. I ended up purchasing a full-sized bottle yesterday, and I can't wait to wear it this week. I also ested all of the other scents from the other DKNY line while I was at the store, but this one is by far my favorite.

This is a nice addition to the DKNY Delicious line, but, for me, it's nothing special. It wears close to the skin, is pleasant, reminds me a bit of the Jennifer Aniston fragrance, but with a bit more sweetness and fruit (and no A&D ointment note). I actually like this one, whereas I didn't really like the Jennifer Aniston scent. I would say that this one is the closest to being a skin scent from the DKNY Delicious line of fragrances.

I thought I'd really like this one in my "new" fragrance hunt. Enough to purchase... but ended up returning it as well one I just couldn't find it special enough and after about 1-1/2 hours the smell was totally gone on my skin, I couldn't smell it anywhere.

I also while reading the reviews earlier I understood the clean comments but didn't quite get the Pantene reference (I guess I was thinking of the old Prel smell and not Pantene), however when showering tonight and shampooing, and Yes I use Pantene... I was shampooing and thought something smelled vaguely familiar and it hit me, the perfume I just returned DKNY Golden Delicious!

While a nice enough scent I just couldn't find it quite what I had wanted and it had zero lasting power on me.

Thank goodness for samples! The idea of somehow infusing the smell of golden delicious apples into a fragrance is very appealing.
As I sampled DKNY Golden Delicious I realized I'd smelled this before - I think it's a fairly generic notes formula that's been used in some shampoos and/or conditioners over the past few years.

This wasn't a bad fragrance, just not anything really new or truly remarkable. Golden Delicious would be an adequate fragrance for someone who doesn't care much about a scent and doesn't wear fragrance on a daily basis.

Of course the DKNY iconic apple-shaped bottle is cute. That's a plus for anyone who's big on displaying their fragrances on their dresser.

For me this scent was just too shampoozie.

["DKNY Golden Delicious celebrates luxury and splendor with its rich and accentuated aromas of juicy 'Golden delices' apple, accompanied by orange blossom and Mirabelle plum. An opulent floral heart offers a bouquet of white roses, surrounded with Casablanca lilies, lily of the valley and vanilla orchid, while base caresses with notes of musk followed by a sensual woody trail of sandalwood and teak." - Amazon.com]

As with all the Be Delicious perfumes i love Golden Delicious too and it smells just like its name....like Golden Delicious apples. As it dries down it takes on a very floral nature and somewhat powderey as well.
