I've recently gone "curly girl" after years of being in denial about having curly/wavy hair, so I'm always on the lookout for products that are both sulfate and silicone free. When I stumbled upon the "EverSleek" line at my local walmart, I was thrilled. It picked this up on a whim as I was just itching to try something new with my hair.

I have only used it a couple times but that has been enough times for me to know that I really like this product. It comes in a plastic round kind of orangey brown bottle and the product is dispensed through a pump. The product itself is a white cream that has a very clean scent. I find one pump to be sufficient for my BSL hair.

I will admit that I don't use this product the way the directions specify. After I've applied my flax seed gel and let my hair sit in a plop for 10-20 minutes, I put one pump into my palm, rub my hands together and scrunch it through my damp hair. Doing this, I have found that the amount of frizz in my hair is reduced. In fact, it rained yesterday and my hair didn't frizz up one bit. This is astounding to me because I have some of the most frizzy hair imaginable, but this in combination with my flax seed gel has left my curls very soft and virtually frizz free. I don't find that this weighs my hair down.

Needless to say, this has quickly become a staple in my hair care routine.

I have been using this for a month (though not every day) and I still can't tell if I like it or not...
It seems like some days when I use it, my hair feels soft and tamed but then other days it feels sticky and gives my hair a terrible feel. I can definitely say that it hasn't done anything to improve the condition of my hair, and isn't that the point of a leave-in cream anyway?
Probably won't repurchase.

I love this product. I know it's not summer and I don't have to worry about frizz anymore, but this definitely works on winter dry hair as well. For those who say that they can tell they have product in: You're using too much. It says to use 1-2 pumps for your hair but i believe 1 pump itself is too much. Less is more with this stuff. I put this in my hair after i've half dried my hair with a drier, and i'll even use some on other days before my next shower if i see that it's looking dry again. I love this stuff. It smells AMAZING too. so many people have complimented me while walking by. I wish this was a perfume scent.

This didn't work for me at all. I don't know if I used too much (barely 1 pump), but it made my frizzy dry hair stiff and drier.

pros:
controls frizz really well
hair feels so soft
makes hair so easy to style (straighten/curl) looks amazing!
works well with heat
inexpensive

Cons:
hair feels like there is product in it.. if you know what i mean? like, creamy
do not use too much!!

anyways, i think this product wont work for like ALL hair types, but it really did work for mine, i have long, thick hair, a little damaged from heat.
anyways, just try and see if you like it.
how to use: wash hair, towel dry, apply 1-2 pumps depending on hair length, clip hair back, wait about 15 minutes, dry hair, then style however you like
(hair will look so good if you straighten or curl after applying and drying hair.)

It didn't help with the frizz at all and it made my hair hard instead of soft.

Be careful with this one. It's definitely a case of "less is more." I made the mistake of using two full pumps of this on my shoulder-length, color-treated, frizzy mane. Two pumps was too much. I had much better results when I used just one. This does do a good job at keeping hair fairly sleek. But it's not particularly moisturizing. In fact, it makes my hair feel a little dry. Right now. my Tresemme Heat Tamer Spray is my go-to product for smooth results when doing a blow-dry with a round brush. Super cheap and works like a charm.

For those who are going cone free and/or doing the curly girl method, this product rocks as a leave in. It's moisturizing, defines my curls, is light weight, and has no cones, yeah!

I have very curly long hair and it get frizzy very easily. I tried this product and noticed it leaves my hair very hydrated and takes away the frizz. It smells great too and I'm a sucker for products that make my hair smell good! You have to be careful in not overdoing it though because it will leave your hair greasy and thick but that's no problem. I love this product!

I like this product! I live in such a humid area and my hair gets very frizzy. I heard about this line from my friend and she said it was fabulous, so I thought I would give it a go. I took off one lippie because it ain't cheap. Maybe it's just me who thinks that it's so expensive because I'm used to very cheap shampoos and conditioners, so this was a big treat for me. : ) If I had paid full price for the whole line, it would be like $30. Luckily I got a good deal on the shampoo and conditioner (I paid nine dollars for both of them!) but I spent that much on this creme alone! That being said, I like it a lot. I'm careful to avoid roots, but it smells awesome and it's very creamy-feeling. I get a lot of compliments on my hair now, and even better-it's not tested on animals, it's silicone free, and it makes my hair frizz-free, soft and shiny. I love this. Aside from the high prices it's fantastic!

I really like this product. It's way cheaper that other products I use. I find it really protects against humidity. It's all about using the right amount though. Too little is useless, too much makes your hair stiff. But when the proper amount is used, it makes hair soft and it keeps it straight, and it smells wonderful.

Alright, what can I say, I am a leave in conditioner snob. I have thick, frizzy, very long Indian hair that gets dry and needs extra moisture. This product provided absolutely no moisture. In fact, this made my hair even drier and more frizzy! I know there are qite a few people who are against silicone based products but I for one love my silicones. If you do not favor them, and you do not have crazy thick hair like I do, this product may work for you. If you do have thick or frizzy hair, save your money and look elsewhere. Only positive I can think of is the scent. While I am not to keen on scented products, this one happens to have a light, appealing scent. Fear not, it does not linger that long. I digress.

Well in light of the detailed review below (very helpful!), I may have to re-visit this, but...eh. I agree with her assessment: I used a tad too much (not an excessive amount by any means), and it left my hair heavy, greasy, and dirty feeling, which was incredibly irritating. I was surprised, actually, because I love the Ever Sleek shampoo and conditioner, so I had high hopes for this.

For the record: I have long hair that is naturally wavy in the back (but only in the back, so I can't just let it dry naturally unless I want to look like an Afghan hound). I typically blow my hair dry, then roll it on large hot rollers. Serums are a must, as my hair tends to be frizzy, and I live in an incredibly humid area (Georgia).

All this to say: It left my hair such a heavy, dirty feeling mess that I'll have to work to talk myself into even trying it again.

I sort of have a love-hate relationship with this. I bought this because I was excited about a new silicone free product & because I like the EverPure leave in. At first I didn't like it, but I read that other people on naturallycurly.com were really liking it, so I decided to use it differently based on their explanations. As it turns out, it is best thought of as a concentrated styling cream rather then a leave-in conditioner.

I have naturally very curly (3b, highlighter sized ringlets) that is medium-long (about bra strap length) hair that is prone to dryness, frizz & breakage and NEEDS product to make it manageable.

The problem with this product is that it is really finicky and it's way to easy to go overboard. Seriously, you need way less product then you think you do. If I use more then the recommended amount (1-2 little squirts) I get a multitude of problems. My hair looks and feels oily, dirty and disgusting - like I haven't washed my hair in months. Yet, it also is kinda crunchy, which just doesn't make any sense to me. Since I have so much hair, I usually have to use a LOT more of the product then recommended. It also can make hair look darker & loaded with product. I usually would use a leave in conditioner and then an additional styling product, but that consistently was a recipe for hair disasters.

I feel like this needs to be stand alone product. Using it with another leave-in or cream makes it over hydrated, and gel or mousse makes it too crispy. That being said, it is rare that I find a product that can work on it's own, and that is what I DO like about this.

So, here is what I find to be the RIGHT way to use it:
Just after showering, I flip my head over and finger comb to detangle. The I take about 1-2 pumps and scrunch upwards, keeping the product on the ends and avoiding the roots. The I use my curls-like-us towel (which is basically a hunk of cotton t-shirt jersey material) and scrunch out extra water & product. Then I finger style my hair upright and let it air dry.

The results are: soft, shiny healthy curls. It does not weight hair down too much, but it does elongate my curls, so maybe if you have very fine hair, it would make it lay flat. It really does hold up in humidity and lasts through out the day. sometimes I do get occasional crunch, but it's easily scrunched out. Most of the time, if I don't over do it, curls are soft and do not look or feel like they are doused in product. It also rinses out easily.

Price is a little high for drugstore, but considering how little you need to use, I think it's a good value. I like the pump packaging. I don't much care for the scent. It kind of smells like men's soap to me, but it's not horrible and it doesn't linger. If I smell my hair later in the day, it just smells clean.

If you have dry, curly hair, this is a great styling product!
