Ok,first off I had a bit off a problem with my order & getting this if I remember. I had it in my cart, ordered but once my ordered arrived it was there & it had sold off. I had to call Mac & after some doing they did manage to find me one;) And I'm glad they did. I luv this for the summer, very pretty on my brown skin & when I have my summer tan (im Nc 45) I like to apply Optimistic Orange onto the Apples of my cheeks underneath with my 109 brush & blend out. I fell it gives it a little more staying power & glowier look as well. I either mix the gold overspray with the color or highlight with the gold which is also pretty as well. Overall I think this is very versitile for the summer & feel I'll be using mine more;)

I was wandering around Nordstrom the day this collection came out and I loved the color of this & the fact it had the optional gold for mixing. The MAC rep clearly stated to me "Yea, the gold is great too because it's not just on top, it goes through the entire pot." Meaning, that I couldn't "use up" the gold portion of the blush. HOW WRONG!!! I was so disappointed after about 6 weeks, the beautiful gold shimmer was GONE :( Without the gold, it is an odd color on my fair skin and I always have to layer it with some type of shimmer.

When i first bought this I didnt think much of it at all. I pretty much only bought it cause of the cute overlay. it sat pretty much untouched in my makeup drawer for about a month till i pulled it out and decided to swirl the gold overlay with the cheek colour. the cheek colour alone is matte and kind of boring to be honest, despite its bright colour. when mixed together though, this is the most beautiful blush i have ever seen. when i mix the two together i get a coral /gold shimmery blush that gives me a beautiful beachy glow. if you were like me and didnt think much of this.... go and try it again. especially for the summer months, it gives you the perfect golden peachy natural glow. love. love love!!

It's orange. Nw20 and there isn't much coral about it on my skin.

I love love LOVE this blush. I was lucky enough to get my hands on it the day it was released, and it's one of my favorites in my collection. I don't use the gold overspray much, but this blush is the perfect orange-coral for olive/tan skin. I imagine it might be a bit much if you're very fair-skinned, since this is quite a warm color, and very pigmented, but it's definitely one of my favorite summertime blushes.

I love this blush, its a lovely peachy orange that lasts all day on me. I would do without the gold overspray but it does look pretty.

I'm in love with this blush. I'm sure it's dupe-able but this is a gorgeous blush nonetheless. I'm an NC25 and it gives me a lovely flush but I do find I have to be light-handed with this one or it can end up looking heavy. I don't think it's chalky as some have said. The overspray looks great but I prefer to use it lightly because the last thing I want is to look like a disco ball, lol.

This is actually quite boring in person. While it does look very beautiful with the golden shimmery hibiscus flower overlay the coral peach shade underneath is quite drab. You can use the golden hibiscus flower overlay as eyeshadow too. You will get a ton of golden shimmer on your cheeks if you dive right into the flower with your brush. This is more a pretty piece you don't want to touch for fear of messing up the flower. The color on is very light and unnoticible, there are a ton of other colors in this same color family that pack a much more beautiful punch. This is not really that exciting.
The final verdict:PASS.

I think this is so pretty. I wear NC20 in MAC foundation, so using a light hand when applying is necessary. The color is very pigmented, and I don't find it to be chalky at all. I think the hibiscus flower is also a nice touch. I will say that I liked last year's Marine Life better, but this is really pretty too.

I know this sold out almost immediately online.. but that only proves that there is a sucker born every minute.
sadly this swatched unevenly and is as noted by the prior reviewer, a bit chalky. MAC has much better in their perm line.. and this does not beat the last year's summer collection blusher.. that was stunning.
this is just ok, and not worth the money or the aggravation to get it.

I own about 15 Mac blushes and love them all.......this is the first blush that did not impress me a bit. The color which looks pretty in the ugly tacky packaging comes up as an orange/coral on my fair skin, it's a bit flat looking and does not apply evenly, it applies patchy.
This is nothing special at all, I will stick to Melba, Instant Chic(LE and the most gorgeus coral I have ever come across) and Orgasm, all three of those blushes are my top fave summer blushes that look gorgeus and are by far more pigmented, apply evenly and wear throughout the day without changing color or looking patchy.

This is a very pretty golden glow peach color on my nc35 skin. I know the gold won't last for-ever but i LOVE the orangey coral by itself too. You might want to make sure you like the coral part by itself before you buy it. I love how this has a gold OVERLAY not over-spray like marine life did. I have used "my paradise" for a week straight, lighty swirling in the coral and the gold and i haven't made a dent in the gold. I think that if you use a light hand the gold will last a pretty decent amount of time. I can def see mine lasting the whole summer the way i use it. I would def pick this up if you can find it anywhere.

I was not impressed upon seeing inital reviews and swatches on blogs prior to the release of this collection, but after seeing it in-store I had a change of heart. This is a beautiful coral-peach shade on my NC25 skin, and is highly pigmented. I found it to be quite soft in texture, and smooth on the skin---not at all chalky as I'd read about. I apply this with a duo fibre brush to control the amount of colour, imagine this looking good on most skintones. The bright pop of colour just makes me happy!
I've been to two MAC stores in three days, and both had numerous cheek powders left. PM for stores if you're BC, Canada.

Run and get this blush today! if you like corals, because it will be sold out soon!, this is a limited edition blush with the Surf Baby Collection, its unique in that its application is sort of creamy, it is a powder blush though its consistency is more of a dense texture.I really do like it, it is also huge! like the the size of Ripe Peach.I bought two one to swap as well.

This review is pretty much on par with everyone else's reviews- bright peachy blush that is amazing paired with lush light bronze that also came out. The consistency is unlike any other blush I've used, it's so smooth and creamy in application you can't go wrong. Although it is very pigmented, I just lightly touch it to get some color. I wore this yesterday through the Texas heat and P90X workout and it lasted from 8am to about 7pm. Such a great summer color probably my standout purchse from this collection along with Lush Light Bronzer and Hibiscus lipstick. My only problem is the gold overlay- it's so beautiful but it ruins the color for me. I haven't removed it yet but just work around it.

A gorgeous color, that will work for just about most warm toned skin shades. This is a stunning bright orangey-red coral in the pan with a gold overlay that does not go all the way through to the bottom. The gold overlay is superficial. When running the brush across the pan, it is rather powdery. Yes, i know this is a powder blush. However, there will be powdery residue left behind on the pan. If you plan on applying another layer of it, just close the compact after the first swipe and turn it upside down so the residue remains on the lid and then reopen upside down. Pick up the remaining residue in the lid and apply another layer. This is a great way to prevent waste and avoid excess application. It is very easy to go overboard with this shade especially the iridescent gold that while subtle in terms of the shimmer not being large glitter chunks, it can become rather disco ball looking if it is swatched mostly on the gold side. One can always scrape off the gold overlay or just wait till it is used up since it is superficial. Truly a beautiful color that lasts a good six hours on its own and roughly 8 hours if used with a cream base. If your are flirting with getting this blush, hurry. As of today the SA at Nordies claimed all Nordies were sold out and I contacted four different MAC stores and they were sold out. I managed to get one from someone who had picked up two of them days earlier.
ETA: I am reading some negative reviews about this and I have to chime in and say that one's skin should be moisturized and that the use of a appropriate good quality brush will go a long way in getting a smooth & beautiful glowing result.

I love this, I wish I was able to buy another one but they were sold out so quickly. The pigmentation is so great and the color is just gorgeous, it works perfectly with my olive nc30 skin tone. Like one others have said before, use a light hand and it will come out wonderful. I tried it on my friend who is like a nc15-nc20 and it looked great on her as well and she called me later that day saying that she wants to purchase one as well. Great buy!

I was lucky enough to put this on hold and I figured if I didn't like it I would swap it away but I was very impressed with this blush! I am nw25 with pink/gold undertones and I find oranges and corals look great on me so I was excited to try this. When you first put it on you have to use a light hand because it is pigmented but all you do it take a blush brush and swirl it intothe gold and coral and on my cheeks it's a wonderful orangey gold sheen and it looks amazing paired with a light bronzer! This is perfect for summer and I'm so glad I pocked it up:)
Oh ! To make it stay on longer I use Mac's ccb in virgin isle underneath it :)

In regards to this, product, I picked up 2 bc I had a great feeling that I would like it bc I am very much getting into corals for the summer and i must warn you that you should have a light hand with this one bc I was in dark lighting and once i got to work in the bright light, my cheeks were toooooo pigmented..apply it like you would a NARS exhibit A blush..light hand unless you use mostly the gold part..looks beautiful on my NW 45 complexion.
