ok so...I had to write this review. I still find it shocking how well this product works. I have hyper sensitive skin so anything can irritate it. I also have an oil imbalance, acne, ect. After a year of Burt's Bee's Radiance face cleanser I knew i needed something better because it would cleanse well but my skin was still messed up.
It appealed to me because its fairly natural which is all my skin can tolerate, it said "for sensitive skin", and pH balancing. I was skeptical. It really takes a good 2-3 weeks to know if a product is making a difference and its been about 4.
This is the holy grail of face wash for me. For the first time in my life my face skin can tolerate a little extra dirt here, some leftover make up there because the bacteria on my face is healthy and balanced. It isn't drying or oily, just smooth and normal like the regular skin on the rest of my body. And my acne is gone. Just gone. Like i don't even use an acne treatment and this isn't even specifically for acne. It's just good healthy skin cleaner. And damn gentle. I love it. My face used to be like gross, peeling leather with a red nose and chin and even my hair touching my face was giving me acne, but i use this in the morning and night and its great. After I use it in the morning I lightly use an all-natural toner then hypoallergenic, sensitive skin, organic (you get the idea) moisturizing lotion with no scent or dye. (thats how sensitive I am). At night after I wash with it I just apply the same lotion before I go to sleep

I bought it from Nordstrom online for $22 w/ free shipping. Totally worth it. You also only need to use a little bit and lather it well with luke-warm water. I didn't know how important it was to have a pH balanced face for optimal skin health. I don't even wear foundation or bb cream anymore, i honestly don't need to. My boyfriend even said I look so different now (in a good way of course).

If you have any doubts at least try it for a few weeks, and don't forget to moisturize. I mean what could go bad, your skin will stay the same? That's about all that could happen but I'm telling you it works. You have to be patient, some people's skin takes like 6 weeks to work with a product. If you still having clogged pore skin problems it could very well be you moisturizer, so don't use a fancy one with 500 ingredients that cancels out the benefits of this cleanser.

This is the thing I would bring with me to a deserted island.

This thick soft cream removes makeup fast and easy without rubbing. It has a nice soft fragrance, not too strong for my sensitive nose. My skin feels clean and soft afterwards. There are no traces of makeup/dirt on the cotton pad when I tone my face. Very nice cleanser.

This is an amazing cleanser. This cleanser leaves my skin feeling smooth, fresh and brighten. I thought clarins white plus brightening cleanser is good but this is better. It is more moisturising. Don't really fancy the smell though.

My skin is complicated... it's sensitive, dehydrated and acne-prone. It gets oily in the summer. I've used cleansers for acne-prone skin in the past, even special ones for sensitive skin (like Avène Cleanance Gel), but they started to dry me out lately, so I thought I'd look for a cleanser for normal to dry skin. Most of them are cream cleansers that don't foam and leave an oily residue, or Cetaphil, which is too gentle when there's make up to remove. What I wanted was a creamy mousse cleanser.
This one by Clarins has an amazing texture! It's exactly what I needed. It comes out as a cream, melts into my hands and makes a smooth, creamy foam. When I rinse it out, my skin is clean, soft, comfortable with a luxurious scent! It's a bit pricey for only 125 ml, but I loved it so much I already repurchased another tube at the airport :)

Lovely packaging, and lovely smell. I adore that it doesn't foam completely and leaves my skin super soft and hydrated. However I noticed on the few occasions that I used it, that a few minutes after washing my face, it would itch for a few minutes. No noticable redness or rashes, just itchiness. Won't buy it again. Very dissapointed because I love the Clarins sensitive skin range :-(

Wonderful luxurious creamy cleanser, this has not broken me out or dried out my skin. Clarins products work so well for me, I stopped using their products years ago to try other brand but after little success I am back to Clarins and sticking with it.

I've had been using this for several years, and have just come back to it after having tried a few drugstore cleansers. None of them were half as good as this, so I've given in and paid the high price for another tube (about £17, compared to around £3 for drugstore brands). My skin is very sensitive to products, and is quite oily whilst also dry, and this is the only cleanser I've found so far that doesn't cause me problems. I like a rinse-off cleanser, and this is one of the only ones I've found that doesn't strip your skin or leave it too tight and dry (it does a little, but I think that's the same with any rinse-off cleansers). The scent really isn't noticeable at all, and you only need a pea-sized amount, so it lasts for ages. It's more gentle than a lot of wash-type cleansers. It doesn't foam, in spite of the name, which doesn't bother me, personally. I would highly recommend this to anyone with sensitive skin, be it dry or combination.

I bought this twice. And both times I had the same problem, even thought it was recommended for DRY skin, it dried my skin out instantly! I think this foaming thing doesn`t suit my skin. I switched to the Alpine Herb cleanser and it make my face so soft and comfortable and evened out. :-) I love Clarins but this didn`t work, but luckily the other cleanser works better than anything else...

I got this in a swap and fell in love with it. The only way I can describe the smell is "pretty" and "soft." Just like the texture of the cleanser is "soft." It is not an overpowering scent at all and unfortunately I can't be more descriptive b/c I used it all. The cleanser foams only slightly and does a great job at removing my foundation, mascara, and eyeshadow. It does not leave my oily skin overly dry or greasy and I actually think it helps my skin. It is expensive and I don't like that but it works so well and smells so good it's my one splurge. You can shop around for sales. Also, a little goes a long way (dime size for whole face). I love this enough said.

I love clarins cleansers. I use this one when my skin is going through a dry phase. It leaves my dry skin so silky smooth, it's just fantastic. I actually like the fragrance of this cleanser and dont find that it has a butter smell at all. Everyone is different but if you are having problems with dry skin I would give this a try.

I've only been using this for a few days, but I like it so far. It has a slight fragrance, but isn't overpowering. It foams up, but not a huge amount. It feels creamy going on, rinses off well, and leaves my face feeling clean without any tightness. It doesn't taste of anything that I've noticed, and it doesn't sting my eyes. I use a Clarisonic Mia, finish off with Clinique Mild Clarifying Lotion (the alcohol-free one), and my face is left clean and exfoliated without any dry feeling.

The only downsides are the high price and the tube packaging. When I'm rinsing my face with one hand, and holding the Clarisonic with the other, it's a nuisance to need a third hand to undo the top of a tube. It's a flip-top lid, so it isn't fiddly, but a pump would be better still.

I have bought this cleanser after I read all of the positive reviews about it. My skin is not overly dry, just around the nose and on the cheeks. I was searching for a cleanser to use in the shower in the morning, so this is the only way I used it and this is what my rating is based on.
First, I was looking forward to the consistency and the smell. I know Clarins and I like how their products smell. It is a nice light cream that foams up in your hand really nicely. But then! Yes, now I know what's meant by "shea butter" - the overpowering buttery smell made me fell rather nauseous, imagine this to be the first thing you smell in the morning! Anyway, I didn't want this to marr my impression of the product and I went on massaging it into my face. A lovely light foam, a good feeling, I had high hopes. But alas- as I came out of the shower my face was feeling tight, dry, just not as nice and plump as I had hoped it to be. My Decleor Neroli Oil made me feel much better, but overall I am really disappointed by this product and I'll keep on searching for my perfect smooth cleanser to use in the shower.

Overall great but I will buy this product again if I don't find anything better or something that helps my acne

I have gone through several cleansers in the past, especially the last year as I needed a gentle cleanser to use after using a make up cleanser. I have dehydrated skin so was looking for something that would take away residue without stripping my skin. I have tried different ones from Clarins, but hands down this is the best! I have been using this for the past few weeks. There is not too much of a noticeable scent (hooray!), you don't need a lot and it doesn't foam up too much. In fact the foam doesn't really appear. I like that, as I find that foaming cleansers are too harsh for my skin. Don't get me wrong, it is not the same as using Cetaphil - that is a lotion cleanser. This one is not. You use this on a damp face, using warm water at night and cold in the morning. I love this so much it is actually gentle enough for me to use twice a day. And this is an absolute first for me. I love the fact for the first time I do not get that horrible tight skin feeling you normally get when using rinse off cleansers. I used to even get that with Cetaphil! But what's brilliant about this is the fact it doesn't add so much moisture that you can feel it on your skin, just the feeling of a nicely cleansed face :o)

Would definitely highly recommend this who have combo/dehydrated sensitive skin. No break outs here!!!

I was having trouble with rosacea that came about due to an unexpectably harsh winter here in Australia. I needed a gentle cleanser and Clarins is a brand I return to when my skin is giving me grief. I am not sure what part of my routine helped with the rosacea, but my skin completely calmed down when I added this cleanser. I am also using Niacinamide and vitamin A serum at night, so it could be any one of these. Anyway, this cleanser does not foam, but it does do a good cleanse. It isn't great at removing eye makeup, so I used a separate eye makeup remover prior to using this. I applied it to damp skin and massaged all over my face and neck for about two minutes. Then I rinsed for another couple of minutes. My skin felt really moist and not tight like you get with some foaming cleansers. It is pricey in Australia at $40 per tube, but it is also highly concentrated, so I anticipate that it will last about 3 months. I am so grateful to have found a product that calmed my skin down because I haven't experienced rosacea before and I don't want to experience it again! Highly recommend this product.

This is my HG Daily cleanser. Smells good, a little goes a long way (those unfamiliar should note it doesn't foam up as much as the others in the Clarins foaming cleanser range), and is great for my skin (combo/dehydrated/sometimes-sensitive).
Recommended for dehydrated skin if you find your drying out to much, and this is VERY gentle, so perfect At first you might think it's not doing enough cleaning, but you get used to it. It IS cleaning, it's just not stripping and scrubbing away everything. Less break-outs, spots and patches, cos your not taking away to much needed moisture. It's a simple product, but is absolutely essential for me.

I switched to this after the cottonseed foaming cleanser was stinging my eyes and leaving me a little dry. But this one is awesome! No irritation and still does a great job at cleansing. It smells so fresh and yummy and has a nice lather. Works well with my clarisonic too! Really love this cleanser.

I just love this cleanser.
My skin is normal/combination but this gives me a thorough clean without leaving me feeling tight. It has the softest texture and lightly foams, like washing with a cloud. But it's the scent that really sells it. I can't describe it, but it smells like the most expensive, luxurious spa you can imagine. It's really such a pleasure to use it!
