I quite like this foundation. Although it isn't perfect, it has a good consistency and leaves your skin able to breathe.

I have no. 1, 2, and 4. The lightest shade is an amazing match for my fair skin. I use 2 and 4 in the summer time, they are pretty close in tone.

Many complain about poor coverage or that its short lasting which leads me to explain it is a fairly thin foundation. I would not recommend it to those with problem skin or someone expecting full coverage. As someone who does struggle with problem skin, I can only wear this when my face is clear and I don't have to worry about my blemishes, mostly in the summer. This will even out your skin tone nicely but you will have to use a concealer on those problem areas because when this product is applied in layers, it won't mimic a concealer. It will only look cakey and shift around your face.

Over all, it brightens and freshens up my skin, definitely not my HG, but I would recommend it to even out your skin tone but still look natural. I'd recommend priming & setting it with a moisturizing spray like rosewater.

Pleasantly surprised by this product. It provided great coverage and stayed all day. Applied over primer and set with mineral powder. Will definitely purchase again.

I'm a little surprised at all the low ratings for this product. I'm in love with this stuff and use it just about everyday. I'm in the lightest shade, 001 nude, and it matches my skin beautifully. The coverage, I'd say is probably light to medium, more medium in my opinion but deffinately buildable. I have combination skin and I don't feel as though it grabs on to any of my dry patches and it doesn't leave me super oily as I tend to get in my t-zone. The finish is semi matte, which is awesome because I feel as though after I apply this my skin still looks like skin an not cakey or greasy. I use a primer underneath and use a flat top brush to stipple it on and then blend it out with little circles. I set my t-zone with a power as I always do with anything I use and I feel as though it covers most of my acne scarring and discoloration. I'm quite happy with this. I do highly recommend this for people looking for a light to medium coverage foundation.

Terrible, terrible, terrible. This left my face looking chalky right off the bat, & after a few hours it had completely faded off and/or cracked in patches. For the record, I put this on my freshly washed & exfoliated face after following up with moisturizer AND Smashbox foundation primer. I had high hopes for this as a MUFE dupe, but it doesn't even come close. NYX is amazing at making high quality dupes, but this foundation is not one of their better ones. Don't waste your money.

This is a wonderful foundation for the price. I used to use MUF HD foundation. But, being a student that was rather hard to re purchase. I wouldn't say this foundation is a dupe, but for the price this is wonderful! It has a very nice finish, and the packaging is awesome because it has a pump. The foundation is medium coverage so for someone who is wanting full coverage I would recommend mixing in a tiny bit of liquid concealer. I have very sensitive skin that reacts to many products. However, this did not cause me to break out. NYX also doesn't test on animals- which is a huge plus. I will continue to repurchase this & would recommend it to anyone.

Age: 30-35   Skin: Normal, Fair, Warm   Hair: Other, Wavy, Medium   Eyes: Green

This is my everyday foundation. The lightest shade (Nude) is an excellent match for my very pale, yellow undertone (think NC5-10/Nars Siberia/L'Oreal W1) skin. It's one of the few "drugstore" foundations in existence that's light enough for me without being too pink. Coverage is light to medium, and I find it easily buildable to medium with no caking. It doesn't cover all blemishes but it does cancel mild redness on my cheeks. One pump is enough for light coverage, another half pump if I want more coverage in problem areas. You're never going to get flawless coverage with this unless you already have excellent skin -- this foundation's strength is in a natural, everyday look.

It doesn't oxidize on me, doesn't pool in my large-ish pores, doesn't break me out. It doesn't contain sunscreen, which I love because I prefer to do that as a separate step. I've never noticed a scent and I'm usually very sensitive to scented products. This foundation's worst (maybe only) fault is its staying power. I can get 4, maybe 5 hours of wear before fading becomes noticeable. Primer helps. Recently I've been using it over Tarte's new BB Tinted Treatment Primer in Fair, which is a little on the pink side but it doubles the wear time and gives a slight coverage boost. One other thing: I don't like the way my pressed powders look with this foundation. (Maybe it doesn't like the talc, and really, who can blame it?) I suggest a loose finishing powder instead -- e.l.f. Studio HD powder pairs beautifully with this. If using a talc-based powder with this foundation, use a fluffy brush and a very light hand.

I remember reading reviews for this and running to a local store that sells some NYX products and couldn't find this on the shelf and asked the lady when they're getting it in and she said they won't be getting it. Oh the perks of being from South Africa.... fast forward a year or so and I finally had the opportunity as I got a Amazon gift card and first thing to come up was MAKE-UP of course and then this product came to mind and it was decided that i'd get it.For the price (if converted to my currency) it seemed like a bargain.

It arrived after 2 weeks and I was quite impressed by how slick the bottle is. It came with a pump and I have it in Soft Beige Color match was perfect! It was my first time buying foundation online so of course I was a bit terrified but match was good. Now on to the actual foundation...

The coverage wasn't so great for me. This was the first thing I noticed when applying. Note, I don't ever use my fingers/hands though to apply foundation. I either use a stippling brush or my beauty blender sponge. I had to go over my face three times to feel "okay" about my face. It seemed to blend smoothly though and wasn't difficult to work with. But to me the big letdown came with the finish. I hated it. I didn't like how it made my face look afterwards. I wouldn't say it made my face look dry but it just didn't have a "wow" finish like I'd get with some of my other foundations. Lasting power on this foundation also sucks. It starts to fade quickly and after a few hours it looks like I practically never put anything on it. In hot weather it also oxidized on my skin and my nose went really oily.

As for it's photogenic HD claims. I can't vouch for this. I didn't notice a particular difference. In fact I don't buy into all these hd claims. I've used a hd powder before and it made my face look far WORSE than better on camera. I wouldn't buy this again. It didn't work and for the hassle to get it for me it would be stupid to waste money on it again.

Depending on what your needs are, this is actually a pretty good foundation. It blends well and has good coverage. My problem with it is that it's probably a little heavier than I really need and even when I pressed in my setting powder with a puff, it still looked very cakey for some reason. It's still my backup foundation, but I find that I don't have the cakeyness problem with UD's Naked Skin weightless ultra definition.

The packaging with this NYX foundation is really good. The pump is cleaner and a little bit goes a long way. The size is great for traveling. I don't really notice a problem with oxidizing that I guess some people have, but I also use a setting powder and setting spray, so if you're having a problem with that maybe using those things will help.

Overall, I wouldn't recommend this to people like me who don't need anything more than light coverage to even out redness. But, for people who want a solid medium coverage foundation and don't mind working out the cakeyness issues, I'd definitely recommend trying this out.

Age: 36-43   Skin: Very Oily, Medium   Hair: Red, Wavy, Fine   Eyes: Brown

I have a very oily skin and yet, this foundation works amazingly well. Don't think that this control oil, this is not what this product is for. If you have oily skin or very oily skin you'll get shiny, difference is that you won't get more shinier than what expected with no makeup on your face.

This foundation is easy to apply, it blends very well and the color is the perfect match for me (Natural 03). I have acne scarring, undereye circles and fine lines around the eyes so this foundation being light-medium coverage doesn't cover any of those problems. I have to use concealer and proper blending to correct those issues but I rather use this foundation than a matte/full-coverage foundation and because being the perfect color match my pores aren't visible. After applying this I use a tissue to absorb the oil that this foundation has in its formula, then I use setting powder (Palladio rice loose powder in Translucent) and that make the trick. It lasts 3 hours without blotting and lasts about 6 hours on my cheeks where I have normal skin.

Revlon's Color Stay or Estee Lauder's Double Wear are supposed to work better on oily skins and they do if you like matte long lasting finish; on me those foundations look okay but not as natural as this one. My face looks healthier with a slight dewy look without looking oily.

I would repurchase for sure. The only warning is that this foundation sets on fine lines so be sure to blend and set with a translucent powder.

My face flushed bright red in the store and I tried this on. Really amazing how well this covered! I thought I had found perfection, because in spite of the limited selection, 02 Soft Beige looked pretty darned good. However, I soon realized this has fragrance in it. WHY? No talc, mineral enriched... I never dreamed it would have fragrance. That's always a deal breaker for me.

I am so freaking disappointed with this product. Mainly because Iīve been using the same foundation for over a year, the one from elf. Itīs actually better for me. I thought Iīd try something more expensive to see if I was missing out on anything and I saw so many great reviews I thougt itīd be legit.
My shade was sold out when I really needed a new foundation so I decided to go for the lightest one, which isnīt terrible, it blends pretty well into the skin.
My nose looks like a hot mess with this foundation, SO DRY.
Iīm not going to complain about coverage, which is very little, because I think these HD photogenic foundations are more about making the face reflect light or something.
I donīt think this works well with powders, it gets all muddy.
Most NYX products arenīt very pricey here in Iceland but this was a hard bite for me to swallow because it cost me around 40 dollars :(
Iīm still going to try and make it work!

I found that this foundation doesnt work well for dry skin and wore off too quickly. The shade matched my skin well but it just sat on top of my dry flajy skin. in less than an hour i could see oil shine through, mypores and all the flaws my foundation is supposed to hide so whats the pont?

I do not recommend for people with dry flaky skin. No matter what i did o moisturize or exfoliate to prepare my skin, this foundation was a fail. Doesnt last and coverage is terricle.

Try as I may, this foundation does not appeal to me. First application, with a clean, moisturized, primed face, it sat very oily on my skin. Honestly, it was hardly bearable throughout the day. Much less the first 5 minutes I noticed, oily-irritation did not subside. I did apply concealer, because there wasn't enough coverage for my red cheeks, and new blemishes. It wore off quite quickly, and that actually didn't have to do with my typical 'must touch my face' contribution. Overall, this is not a repurchase for me. I will most likely experiment more with this foundation, and different techniques/combinations, but it won't be a staple to my make up kit.

I really liked this product and am so disappointed that I can't use it again. :( The lightest color is absolutely perfect for me. The packaging is a dream, I much prefer the pump to a bottle like Revlon's Colorstay (horrible). The coverage is just perfect for me as well, I would say that it's pretty heavy-duty without feeling heavy at all.
That being said, I believe this broke me out. After using I suddenly had all these breakouts on my cheeks and could not figure out what it was from; one by one I stopped using all of my products to try to isolate the culprit, and then eventually looked at the ingredients of this foundation. And I found that there is oil in it, which does make me upset... I may have continued using this foundation otherwise.
Also, though, when I applied it to my whole face I could easily see the blending marks and feel it on my skin like grease. I think it would be better for girls with dry skin.

The shade range on this foundation can be improved. Also, the foundation tends to look a little too dewy without setting with a matte powder. That being said, the foundation really is beautiful. It is absolutely high def makeup. I personally like the way this photographs better than the mufe high def foundation ive tried in the past. Trust me, set with a powder that also provides a little bit of coverage too. It will make the foundation full coverage and keep it from looking oily. It doesn't have any sunscreen so it won't make you look like a ghost in photos. Definitely recommend! I just don't think it should get five stars because of the poor shade range. I can only wear my color, shade two at certain times of the year.

Pros: looks really natural like skin (don't like foundation that looks like a mask). It blends well and has a light-medium(ish) coverage which I don't mind since I use concealer for problem areas. Does not break me out (which is amazing since most things do). I really love this foundation after i apply my skin looks very healthy and clear. I recently repurchased to use for my wedding day (looked good in photos but to light) The price is around 15.00$ to me which is not bad considering you are getting 1.24oz of product vs. most foundations that are 1.0oz (including MUFE HD which is $42!)

Cons: color range is terrible I get the lightest shade and have to add the tiniest amount of the Cargo tinted moisturizer that is alot of shades darker to match my skin tone which I don't mind because I think the mixture leaves an even better finish. The only other things that I dont really care for is that the packaging is opaque so you can't tell how much foundation you have left (& my Ulta is ALWAYS sold out) and sometimes the pump gets stuck. However this is a great foundation for everyday

No matter how I tried to thin this out, this product goes on thick and gives you that 'made up' face. While the finish is beautiful, it's not very natural. It's thick and feels somewhat heavy. I noticed that I sweated more than normal when wearing it. It also doesn't hold up well against oily skin and I don't like how easily it transfers on to clothes, scarves, other people, etc..

The colors I used were 2 parts Warm Sand and 1 part California Tan. The initial look was immaculate. It's the practicality of the product that was the problem. The pump is convenient, the size of the jar for the price was phenomenal! But it's not long lasting and it feels "heavy"...that's the only way I can describe how it feels. It felt as if my skin was suffocating.

I would probably wear this to take pictures, but then go home and wash it right off. I also don't see myself wearing this for everyday use. I gave it a 3 because of the coverage it provides for a liquid...but aside from that, I don't like it.

So I REALLY wanted to love this foundation. I was so excited to finally get my shade in as Ulta was always sold out. I generally have a 3 strike policy. I want to give something enough chances to see how it really works. First let's start with the packaging. I love it, finally someone paid attention and gave us a pump on the bottle. Most companies can't recognize this as something all women agree on. The conveniece and ease of the packaging was, unfortantly, the best part. The foundation went on streaky no matter what techniuqe I used to apply it. It settled into fine lines and wrinkeles even with primers. The worst part was after I wore it for a while it began to oxidize and change colors turning it into a orange tinted color which looked HORRIBLE. I usually love NYX and they have the best lipglosses on the market, but seriously, their foundation need as much much attention and work to live up to the level of good products we all have come to appreciate with NYX.

I have decided I like this. I've had it for 3 months and had used it only a few times until this past week. I had been trying of a lot of different drugstore foundations so this one got shuffled into the back of the drawer but I have used his 3 days in a row now and I think this is going into regular rotation. The coverage is light/ medium and can be built up to medium. It's not dewy or matte really. Very natural finish and looks nice with my l'oreal naturally luminous loose powder. The lightest color, nude, is a perfect match for me. It feels silky on my skin, not heavy. Eve though this is not full coverage it still leaves a flawless look. Like my skin magically got amazing over night. You can see my freckles through but my skin looks even and smooth and radiant but not greasy. No redness. It does not settle and when it fades out its natural. Not like it broke up and separated. My favorite thing about this on my skin, may seem stupid to some, but I wear glasses makeup tends to get caked up and bunched up on the bridge of my nose where my glasses sit and move through the day. This one doesn't do that. It just rubs off a little in that area but that spot is always a little red no matter what from my glasses resting there. I love the pump bottle. You can see through it but t still looks like a nice bottle. One pump is the perfect amount for light coverage. I stipple this with a flat top synthetic brush and it blends like a dream. I gave this a 4 instead of 5 because the wear time is less than I would like. I can get 5 hours of this and then it starts to fade and look dull. I only have a 5 hour work day so that's fine but if I'm going somewhere after work I need to touch up and powder and maybe just redo. Also, I bought mine from a cart in our mall, and the price at the cart was higher than the price online and that bummed me out. Still didn't break the bank though. I will repurchase!!!!
