I'm a gal that sticks with a fragrance for a long time before switching. Picked this one up at a duty free shop. Love this scent. My preference is fruity (have also loved Burberry Weekend for Women). I like the notes in this one. Three spritzes on my decollete in the morning and a little rubbed onto my wrists. Lasts all day, but not as heavy as a full perfume.

Hmm. Smelled wonderful in a magazine insert strip. Smelled wonderful on me from the magazine strip. Ordered some. Got headache. It smelled nothing close to the dreamy, sophisticated scent I thought it was. Really weird! Lesson learned.

I have a love-hate relationship with this perfume. First time I smelled it in a sample (one of the little peel off perfume things in magazines and store ads), it was HEAVENLY, which of course prompted me to buy it. The first few times I wore it, it was pretty close to expectations. Starts off kind of a like a crisp orangey smell, which only lasts a few minutes. It then turns into flowers galore. Not an overpowering kind of floral, but light (I have no idea why this is named "noir". There's nothing "noir" about it. It's all light, white floral scents). The drydown is my favorite. It's warm and soft, kind of earthy, but still with a floral feel to it. However, after I wore it a few times, it started to give me a horrible, horrible headache, smell extremely powdery, and broke me out in a rash all over my arms, stomach, and chest (only spray my wrists, nothing else, and my arms didn't touch my stomach at all). I know for a fact it's the perfume because I tried on several differenct occasions just to make sure it wasn't something else, but yes, it's sadly this. I wish it would smell like it did to begin with, but something in my chemistry must've changed that now makes it smell awful. It's definitely a perfume worth a try if you don't have sensitive skin, because it really does smell nice, just not for me. The sillage isn't great, you have to be fairly close to smell it, but loud floral perfumes can be very overpowering so that's not really a bad thing in my eyes.

Where've you been all my life??
It's not often I sample a perfume and go "Wow! but this is exactly what happened when I tried this at the perfume store. I knew instantly that this would work for me and sure enough there is nothing about it I don't like.
It's definitely what I'd call a pretty scent. Not too over-powering but has presence enough to envelop anyone with it's charismatic fragrance.
It's modern without being a slave to fashion but at the same time it has a timeless quality.
For me it's a fruity/flowery blend, at times I cannot decide which presents itself more fully. However, the combination works for me and I think I'm in love with this.
I would definitely buy this again. I could easily wear it as an everyday scent but also on an evening out.
I don't know if it's a perfume that would get you noticed, but it definitely makes you feel pretty when wearing it.
Love it.

I always choose the fragrance samples when I order from Sephora. Last year I picked Mon Jasmin Noir as one of my freebies. I was hooked. I used up the whole sample vial within a week and then ordered the smallest bottle that Sephora offered. I used that one up and am now on my second larger bottle. I get so many compliments on this fragrance when I wear it. Unlike some other reviews, I think it lasts pretty well on my skin. IMO, it's a heavier, more dramatic fragrance, so I usually wear this in the evening. Very nice and unique, I don't think I've smelled anything like this to compare it to. Pretty bottle too. It's one of my top two favorites right now.

Bvlgari is my favorite perfume house, so I was excited to buy a bottle of Mon Jasmin Noir - unsniffed. After placing my order, I began to read reviews on MUA and the more I read, the more I grew discouraged about whether I would like the scent at all. Well, I'm so glad I took a chance on this one... I really like Mon Jasmin Noir and it works on me. I can't say it better than kaelores did in her review... It is fresh and spicy coexisting beautifully. Whatismore, based on the reviews, I expected it to be fleeting from a staying power standpoint, but that was not the case for me. I found that although the dry down IS quite a bit softer than the top and heart notes, it stays put on the skin and on clothing pretty well.

If spicy and "fresh" could co-exist, this is what would happen... Beautiful!

Ohhh this is so sad for me to write!! I really loved this fragrance, but as a few mentions here the lasting power really really needs to be worked on. No matter how much I adore this I will never purchase if I have to spritz on a few times a day, it is garishly expensive for that to be a characteristic! booo fix this issue & I would buy in bulk!

I really like this scent. It is soft and warm and makes me feel nice when I wear it. It lasted pretty well on me. I could still smell it a few hours after spraying. Will buy this again

I've only worn the samples but I ADORE this fragrance. It's very different than most florales. It's not overly flowery. BUT, this does not last long at all. And for the price, I'd hate to think how quickly I'd be running out of this little treasure. So, if anyone that comes across this, knows anything similar to this that has staying power or is affordable enough that I can reapply a couple times a day, please-please send me a message. I really do love this fragrance and it's not easy finding one that I like, let alone LOVE. Ugh!

I bought a sample of this based off of reading the reviews on here. While I do think this is a lovely fragrance and probably smells good on others, there was something about it that didn't mesh well with me and gave me a headache. It has a very heavy perfume smell that takes a while to dry down. Very strong and a little too musky for my liking. Beautiful bottle though.

This fragrance captivated me the moment I smelled it, just perfect and actually in my opinion a lot more like jasmine than the original. I always found Bulgari fragrances likeable and wearable albeit most of them not very exciting or original. Jasmin Noir was a lot more my taste, however I could hardly smell any jasmine in it and some note(s) gave me a horrid headache. I bought it and returned it, although it intrigued me, I could not wear it.
So, perhaps thinking the same thing would happen with Mon Jasmin Noir, I skipped smelling it for a long time and when I finally did I was like wow. It is entirely different from Jasmin Noir. The name fits it much better than the original, you can definitely smell the jasmine in it. The lily of the valley in the top is also a note I adore. On the skin it smells very warm, musky and oriental, exciting and complicated, sexy but with a mysterious side, never loud or tacky. If you think it is lighter than Jasmin Noir you would be wrong, it is not really lighter just different, a lot more floral but never sickening (I often dislike very obvious, simple florals as I often find them cheap smelling).
It would be wrong by a woman that would intrigue men with class, beauty and mystery. Just a gorgeous scent. Different and complicated as despite the floral notes it is very well counterbalanced by the other facets. Just the way I love my fragrances. It does have good sillage, I only put a spray or two on my wrist and all day long as I moved my arms I could smell it a bit just being beautiful and very elegant. It also has very good lasting power but it does not leave a very loud trail, those that will come close enough to you will certainly be mesmerized.
I got the perfurme; 25 ml in the jewel charm bottle, what a gorgeous bottle and finally a perfume that comes in this size and also includes a pouch so you do not break it if it falls out of your purse, great as a collectible but very easy to carry on. I also got the body lotion, which is shimmering and not overpriced at all compared to other major fragrances. I think this would be plenty enough to use even for evening wear and economic as you definitely need not spray it again. Great for winter too because it has the warmth due to the musk and slight nougat in the bottom.

I was looking for a fragrance that wasn't too sexy, smoky and sultry like I normally wear. After a good 20 minutes of blind smelling various scents at Ulta, I settled on this one. First of all, I'm not really a floral scent person but that rule changes whenever Jasmine is involved. Bvlgari Mon Jasmin Noir has a strong floral presence with a twist of sensuality. I feel that this scent is perfect for all seasons beause it doesn't take itself too seriously. It's got a light fresh appeal to it and it is safe for any occasion. The top notes are golden cedrat and lily of the valley. The heart is sambac jasmine and angel wing jasmine. The bottom notes are musky nougatine and vibrant wood. This fragrance is warm and fresh but it won't get people to stop in their tracks because it is subtle. However, it is still a wonderful scent.

As much as I like the ads, the pretty bottle, and many other Bulgari frags, I have to say that this one is pretty much a useless frag.
The original Jasmin Noir was heady and intoxicating (a ta s too sweet for my taste) Mon Jasmin Noir is... non exisitant, really I get 10 minutes wear on my skin in hot weather. I can barely smell it.
That said, it's a light floral arrangement, composed around different species of Jasmine; it's greener at the starts and warms up a little on the next stage; but it lacks the intensity of a true Jasmine frag (I have in minid the Jasmine of A' La Nuit or the Jasmine in Joy).
It's pretty, even elegant, but it's so fleeting I cannot even say I get a decent drydown (hence I canot confirm it's based on woods as listed!).
For me, a nice to try but far, far from being a must have.

I'm very glad I was able to sample this scent before viewing that idiotic ad featuring Kirsten Dunst AND before reading the myriad of scathing reviews (http://www.nstperfume.com/2011/03/21/bvlgari-mon-jasmin-noir-fragrance-review/ ....I wonder if we were smelling the same fragrance as I got NO FRUIT whatsoever) floating about on the internet! You'd think they were going to lynch Olivier Polge and Sophie Labbe!
This is why, despite my obsession with and ardent love of fragrance, I will never refer to myself as a perfumista. I prefer to keep and open mind, thank you. Frankly, the fact that it has been panned so much by this group makes me want to wear it even more!
For me, this opens with a burst of jasmin, stems and all. The dry down (my favorite part and the reason I purchased the fragrance) settles into a woody & slightly musky scent that could nearly qualify as masculine were it not for the jasmin weaving in and out occasionally. It's certainly nothing new or ground breaking, but it is a readily available department store fragrance, not a $300.00 Frederic Malle!
Not to mention, as much as I love unique, edgy fragrances they're not always appropriate or appreciated by others who are forced to be in close quarters with you (at the office, in a plane, at the movies, etc....)
I'll wear my bottle with pride. Especially since the "Perfumistas" hate it.
A Little update: I noticed that this behaves differently on my skin depending on the temperature. My town house doesn't have air conditioning and in the 85 degree weather we've been having it runs a steady 75 degrees inside. Here, it's the musky/woody/jasmin thing. However, in the icy bliss of the grocery store it's musky woods with praline candy!

Gross. Smells like old-lady/cheap dime store perfume - harsh and not very pretty. I DO NOT get the comparison to Balenciaga Paris - which has at least a lovely opening (but a harsh, heavy drydown). This is just awful from first sprtiz throughout. lasting power is good unfortunately. Pass.

I just purchased this after receiving a small sample and I have to say that I love it! I looked up some of the ingredients and lilly of the valley is one, and now I understand why I am so in love with this perfume. Lilly of the valley's are my favorite flower and I am so in love with their smell, so it is no wonder I fell in love with this perfume. It is wonderful!

I prefer fresh perfumes last time, but when I try this Bvlgary, I buy it immediately. This perfume is warm, sexy and comfortable, and I wear it in the bed, because it's too hot during the day. The only problem is, I doesn't feel it after a hour or less. But in a winter I am going to renew it with big pleasure.

I received a small sample of this in the mail, and, while it is not totally cloying, it is nothing I would ever wear/purchase for myself. It's not the worst ever....and I love jasmine notes in fragrances, but this just smells too heavy and perfumy. I like woodier, muskier, greener fragrances.

On a recent trip to the big city I was hankering to use up my SDM points on a couple of new fragrances. I had my heart set on Esprit d'Oscar, but was undecided on one more. Enter Mon Jasmin Noir, tester sitting prettily atop the backlit glass counter. I've been on a bit of a floral kick lately (jasmine and gardenia, in particular) so this one piqued my interest. It was oppressively hot last week when I sprayed this on my arm, so I was happy to have that momentary cool blast onto my skin. The scent captivated me instantly.
It's hard to describe individual notes when that happens, it's more of an aura, a feeling that translates into perfection for me. The jasmine, co-mingled with the somewhat-masculine topnotes is absolutely magnificent to my nose. Very sophisticated. When I shared this gem with my mother, (she's the one who I got my affinity for all things fragrance from) inhaled deeply and exclaimed 'This is European! When I close my eyes, I think I'm in Europe!' I turned over the box to reveal the etching 'Made in Italy'. (Indeed, my little Eastern European mother knows all things European.:)
I know how fleeting the fragrance world is these days, where flankers abound, but I'm hoping that this one sticks around. I will make sure that it will always be in my fragrance rotation.
