This does not really lengthen the lashes. But if you both paint the top and the back of your lashes, it can do. Still, if not half as good as Loreal Telescopic.

It does not clump, and does not dry once you put it right away in seconds, which is good because you can apply it for a second or a third time (and you will need it if you don't aim a no-makeup look).

When I look myself in the mirror after applying 8-9 hours ago, I see that it doesn't look as good as when I applied it. Your lashes look less black and much less less long.

Packaging is cute (the wand is thick and plump) however I don't find it comfortable whilst putting it on.

This is my favourite mascara. It never clumps. It makes my lashes very long and adds a lot of volume.

Pretty good. Not an ideal result but neat and pretty.
No clumps. It is definitely a builder. It takes a bit of effort.
That can be solved by using a primer!

This product cost me NZD$32, so I was expecting some pretty great things. However it appears to be just the same as Covergirl's false lash fusion mascara (which is much cheaper). It takes a loooong time to build up which is not that great for me as I don't have too much time in the mornings. It wasn't bad per say, just not what I would have wanted for a mascara of this price.

If in doubt between the original False Lash Effect and this Fusion one, go for the original. It works better than this one.

Still it's not a bad mascara at all, better than others I've tried in this price range. Just don't look for a real false lash effect, even though that is what Max Factor named this product. I found it enhances your natural eyelashes very well and it does add both volume and a tiny bit of length...but it's not exceptionally impactful.

First impressions. good!

This mascara definitely gives you the length and some volume. What I didn't like was that you need to apply a good few coats to get the 'false lash' effect, saying that even by applying a good 3 coats, it doesn't clump which is great!

Makes my lashes feel light and doesn't give you the spider leg lashes!

I didn't like this at first, because the formula seemed thin and didn't give the dramatic effect I wanted on the first few coats. I was really disappointed. But be patient! This mascara layers really well. Think thin layers, rather than a goopy mess. I can apply 3 or more coats and this does not clump! Another bonus: With this I don't use an eyelash curler anymore. After my fourth coat or so, while still wet, I look down, then use the backs of my fingers to nudge my eyelashes up and towards my eyebrows. BAM. Luscious curled eyelashes.

I'm extremely fickle when it comes to mascara - it's probably the only product in my lineup that I am genuinely not concerned about. Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't be seen without a few lashings in place - I just have no brand that I consistently turn to, and I rarely look for any reviews when it comes to this kind of product. As a result, my normal go-to is whatever is currently on offer at the drug store. I'm always loathe to spend the kind of money that I blow away on high-end/department store foundations/blush/lipsticks on something like mascara - call me weird, but that's always how I've felt!

I bought Max Factor's False Lash Effect Fusion when it was discounted by a few pounds at a local store. I normally consider Max Factor to be a little more reliable than the likes of Maybelline or Rimmel (apologies to any fans of these brands - I have just never got on with them personally), so I thought this would pretty much be a fool-proof choice. My lashes are quite long but relatively sparse and poker-straight, so I generally need to curl and apply a few coats of mascara to build up the volume. Fusion promises a blend of length and volume, distinguishing it from the standard product. It comes in a generic Max Factor convex tube; plasticky, cheap and cheerful, and certainly nothing to be wowed by.

The brush head is conical and quite broad, which for me makes it tricky to reach the corner lashes. It's also solid plastic (i.e. not soft bristles), which can lead to inevitable mascara-wand injuries if you blink while applying! In my experience, solid mascara brushes are far better for defining lashes rather than adding volume, and this certainly seemed to be the case here. While my lashes did look a little longer, they did not appear any denser and I honestly could not see much impact following application. I tend to like a slightly exaggerated lash; not mega-volume in the vein of Bourjois' Clubbing Volume, but certainly a little oomph to make my eyes stand out. This product pretty much just looked like my normal, bare lashes, but a little longer and defined. Not the kind of impact I was expecting from a product claiming to offer a "false lash effect". I also found that the product did flake during the day, leaving attractive (not) black specks under my eyes. I didn't experience any transfer or irritation of any kind. This product also does nothing to add curl, so you will need to manually curl your lashes before application.

In conclusion, I would personally not purchase this again; it was quite expensive for a drug store mascara (I cannot remember the exact price but it was somewhere in the region of £10 with the discount applied) and doesn't offer anything significant to justify this. I am currently enjoying Shu Uemura's Ultimate Expression mascara, and will continue using that for the foreseeable future - meaning that sadly Max Factor's offering will be resigned to the garbage.

My lashes are short, thin and really straight, but with this mascara, they aren't. It gives a lot of length and curves the lashes nicely. It doesn't give as much volume as I'd like, so I can't give it full 5/5, but otherwise it is awesome. Definitely one of my favorite mascaras ever and my sister loves it too.

How do I love thee, oh Max Factor False Lash Effect Fusion? Let me count the ways...

1. You maintain the perfect texture of a thin, sooty wetness that applies easily, yet dries quickly.

2. Your brush is big, but your bristles short and rubbery, which means I can pump up my lashes with no clumpage.

3. You are not waterproof, but you never leave me until I want you to. Even then, you exit politely. No vicious scrubbing necessary.

4. You live up to your name, prompting questions like, 'Are those really yours?" whenever people look at my long, voluminous lashes.

This is a fanfuckingtastic mascara. 'Nuff said.

Max Factor really hit the nail on the head with this one. I am absolutely pleased with this product. I have pretty short eyelashes, and this stuff really really gives them that false lash look, without looking over the top. The thing I like most about this product is that it is buildable. It goes on in thin layers, not only does that help to build the product..to me it ensures you won't experience any clumpiness. I prefer this over the name brand mascaras! It is a must have!

Such a great mascara. It adds volume and length to my lashes, without looking clumpy and reminiscent of spider legs! It's a bit pricier than other drugstore mascaras but I've never had such great results from another drugstore mascara.

Yeah, you could do a lot better than this. Compared to my very cheap, drugstore mascara that is RIMMEL LONDON glameyes lash flirt, the results of this mascara were very mediocre. No significant volume and definitely no length. Don't bother with this mascara, there's much better out there, even for less.

This is a really good mascara. Good length, good volume, decent packaging, no clumps.

It has little fibres in it which you don't notice until you look closely. Occasionally one or two of these fall off the lash but its easy to get off and doesn't put mascara on your face.

This can be layered to get "False Lash" looking lashes, I've been complimented a few times on my lashes while wearing this (my own Mom thought I was wearing false lashes).

I can't say enough good things about this mascara. It is my HG and I can't ever imagine finding one better (without spending a ton of money).

So much hype around this product so I thought I'd give it a try but now I'm so dissapointed! I know this is the same product as the covergirl lashblast in the US but I find the brush waaaay too big and the bristles aren't long enough so barely catch any lashes and just ends up smudging on my eyelids. wouldn't really reccomend it :(

I have medium/long, thin, flat lashes. They have never benefitted from a fibre brush, it never worked any wonders for me. I decided to try Max Factor's mascaras with the rubber brushes.. it was my mascara revolution! I started out with Masterpiece Max, but moved on to False Lash Effect because I wanted more volume to my thin lashes. When Fusion came out I gave it a try, it was the same price as the original anyway.. I'm not sure it does anything differently than FLE, but for some reason I'm sticking with it.
I'm very happy with this mascara, it gives me long, voluminous, gorgeous lashes. I don't think they look like false lashes on me, they just enhance my natural look (maybe because they are already long but thin). I can use it to just add color and a little length and volume or to really build the lashes up making them very long without them looking unnatural.. very versatile!

This is a review för the False lash fusion volume and length; I can't believe this... I thought this would be as good as the original False lash, but don't get confused; they have nothing in common.. I don't know if there was something wrong with only mine mascara, but I don't think so...

This does nothing to the lashes.
- does not lengthen at all
- does not give any volume at all
- the lashes looked like when I was 14 years and used chep useless mascaras...

I always use shiseido lash curler - now it didn't help! I tried to put more powder on the lashes to help the volume up.... Nothing!!! No lashes!!

I'm so disappointed, hate to waste my money like this.... No, no, no!! Don't buy....!!

My favourite is still the original False lash. But I also had L'oreal Volume Million Lashes at home, and compared to this one the Million lashes is completely outstanding....( even if its not my favourite either)!!

This is the best mascara I've ever tried. It gives my lashes fullness and makes them look thick without going clumpy and I find it defines my already long lashes really well. I've had problems with allergic reactions from mascaras before but never had a problem with this.
