This is one of the best opaque pale pink nail polishes I have ever owned. Also happens to be the first Butter London polish I bought. I first saw this on Blair Eadie and love it so much! I'm not sure why the reviews below said this is difficult to apply. Teddy Girl is the EASIEST opaque pale pink polish to apply. I do two coats and it's nice and opaque and no streaks!

All said and done, it is way too expensive here (SGD24!). I love the Chanel-esque packaging and the quality of the polish but it's a lot of money to part with. So, won't repurchase.

I generally really like Butter London, and this is no exception. I really love the opaque pale pink with cooler undertones. I find that it works best if one applies very thin coats. When I first got it, I applied two thicker coats and had some difficulty, but after some time, I found that very very thin coats worked much much better. It will look streaky at first, but don't worry. I typically apply 3-4 very very thin coats, and I get a creamy, smooth, opaque pink with no streaks. Usually this polish lasts about two weeks for me with no chipping with the Butter top and base coats. There are other polishes like this from other brands like Essie that are really close in color. In fact, when I had this on my nails, one of my really good friends had an Essie color on hers that was almost identical. I'll have to ask her what it is, and maybe I'll get it and try it out. Essie is cheaper after all, but that said, I'm really happy with Butter Teddy Girl.

Yes, we get it... The formula is not the best. If you think about it, though, what milky opaque pink polish has an amazing formula? The color is so similar to Essie's Fiji but I find that Fiji's formula is worlds worse. I used BL nail foundation, 3 coats of Teddy Girl, and one coat of PD quick topcoat and it looks lovely. It's a pretty color that will probably look great on all skintones. I would repurchase because I love the color and don't mind a polish that you have to take your time with.

When I bought this, I thought it looked simply beautiful. A classy, ladylike, but still playful color: Pure perfection.
I went home and did the whole deal: The base, Teddy Girl, and a topcoat. Teddy Girl is so freaking streaky!!!!! I hated it! It bubbled and dripped and was hard to get an even color, and I don't have these problems with other Butter London Nail polishes!

Thankfully this was not my first Butter London polish as I would almost certainly have turned away from the brand. The formula is awful on this colour, quite thick and streaky. I find it needs two or three coats which is problematic as the more coats you apply the more chalky and thick it looks on the nail. I have seen the colour (a sweet pale pink) on others and admired it but I don't much care for how it looks on myself (about an NW15 who leans more neutral). I gave it three lippies because I have seen this colour look beautiful on some and with a little patience it can work but this colour, for me, is not worth the £12 that it retails for.

I really love the color of this polish, the pink is cute but vibrant.

However, the formula is HORRIBLE. It goes on all streaky and thick, and no topcoat can make the application look smooth. Applying more than 2 coats is a disaster, as it becomes very gloopy and takes hours to dry.

I think they need to thin the formula out more, because 3 light coats would cover the streaks.

This color is overrated, I have other Butter London polishes and they are better than this one. The application is very messy and it chips easily, takes long to dry. The color is nice but its a pain to apply so not worth it.

Love this shade, a beautiful milky pink. The formula is difficult, but I attribute that to the very small brush. I feel that maybe if the brush was a bit larger, or maybe if the handle was longer, this would be so much easier to work with. I won't be repurchasing when it runs out, I will be looking for a similar shade though.

Ugh, what a disappointment! My first Butter London nail polish which I was so excited for and it fell flat on its face. It is impossible to apply, its streaky and it chips! The only reason that this didn't get one star is because the colour of this nail polish is phenomenal. Hopefully this was just a bad bottle or this is just a bad colour because I want to jump on the Butter London bandwagon :(

I love the color of Teddy Girl but it is really difficult to apply. I tried doing it at home and made a mess of my manicure. Once coat isn't enough and then when you put on 2 or 3, it gets very chalky looking. I took it to my nail salon and same problem. I wish it was easier to apply! Because it really is such a pretty color in the bottle.

My first BL polish, but I bought this along with several others. The milky, pastel pink appealed to me because it looked kinda mod and fun. Opaque, cream finish with a white base. I had my manicurist apply it on my fingernails and the formula was so difficult for her to use that I can't imagine what a pain it'd be for me to work with. It was streaky and uneven on the first coat, thick and still uneven on the second. On the third coat it finally looked opaque, but it pooled unevenly throughout the nail and dried that way as well. Flooded the cuticle. An hour later my nails were still tacky and I dented the polish in about four of my nails. So frustrating. I've never had that happen before, especially with the top coat my manicurist uses.

The color looks great but I'm going to return it. I hope the other colors don't turn out the same way!

Okay, so I'm loving BL products so far. Time for the BUT: This polish is indeed difficult to apply as some reviewers mentioned. The streaks are a pain, and I couldn't get my nails absolutely perfect without three coats. The brush doesn't hold enough polish for the nail, so I was re-dipping, re-dipping. . . streaking. . re-dipping. . yeesh. As for the color: I checked out swatches of this online before buying as usual - I loved them. On my hands - scary!! I'm a PPP - super cool toned, and my hands made me laugh. The color ended up being quite loud, not what I buy a light pink for. And somehow my nails looked like maybe I'd tried to apply fake nails, done a terrible job, then painted them a color that wasn't flattering to my skin. Anyhow, bummer. Clearly other people can wear this & have it look lovely. Expect a bit of trouble applying though.

I LOVE THIS NAIL POLISH. it has all the essential qualities of a good nail polish. the color is opaque after two coats, which is impressive for a baby pink because they are usually much sheerer. this also has to be my all time favorite nail polish... get it! (:

I absolutely LOVE Teddy Girl! It's an opaque pale baby pink the same shade as Johnson's baby lotion -- sounds odd but it's really beautiful; feminine and playful at the same time. Sort of a "young" color if that makes sense; I don't mean "young" as in who can wear it - just "young" in the feeling the color gives. Light and airy.

Just gorgeous on the hands. Cool cream finish. Also it's the same shade on as it is in the bottle. Superb formula -- dries super fast; opaque with a single coat (though a bit streaky; I use two to even it up). Excellent staying power. The company advertises itself as a "3 Free"company; Their products include no formaldehyde; toluene; or "DBP colour" and no carcinogens. They offer other products besides polishes too -- I've seen removers but don't know what else the line includes.

I love it. Will absolutely repurchase both this color and the brand.

I have fallen in love with butter london nail polishes! I have 4 and get compliments on all of them. As others have probably stated, the packaging ios like the chanel polishes which I happen to love. The brush is in between the size of OPI's and essie's which is perfect because I find it the perfect size for my fingers and toes. Essie's are good for mani's and OPI are good for pedi's IMO. Anyways, I agree with the reviewer who said this is like mac's Snob lipstick in a nail polish form. I'm pretty tan (mix between NW 35 and NC 35) and snob looks disgusting on me, but this, this is a knockout! The pastel creaminess looks amazing and right on trend this year. Not exactly the white that's been on the runways but I find this shade would suiot more skin tones anyways. As with any opaque nail polish, the first coat is streaky but the second coat is perfection. Also, thin coats work more efficiently with this particular color than thick coats.

I really wanted to love this polish especially after TiffanyD raved about it in one of her videos but this nail polish sucks...
Right now, I'm looking at 5 coats of polish. Up until coat 5, this polish is streaky as hell. Also, the brush tends to drag the color away from spots leaving a lovely bald patch. (Please note my sarcasm...)
And the brush pretty much guarantees that you will flood your cuticles and polish will be EVERYWHERE.
For $14USD, I will not tolerate 5 required coats. And even w/ topcoat its still streaky.

GRRRR.

As I am typing this, I'm looking at my nails and every single nail is chipped. Last night, I used my usual base and top coat which normally guarantee me three chip-free days and noticed my first chip this morning. Then they all started to chip. Fourteen dollars is a lot to pay for ten hours of color. Oh, did I mention? It steaks like mad and goes on unevenly. The package is pretty, but the brush pushed the color away from the nail base. Won't repurchase.

I bought this color recently on a whim. I was a bit nervous since it's a very light pink, that although it looked very opaque in the bottle, it'd barely show up on my nails. I was wrong! I actually looks like a nail polish version of Snob lipstick by MAC - a very light, bright, blue-pink. I absolutely love it! I am rather fair and it compliments my skintone nicely, and I think it'll look fabulous with a tan. The first coat (applied to naked nails) was a bit streaky, but those problems were solved by the second coat. I keep getting so many compliments on it!

I love the style and shape of Butter London bottles too - rectangular and slim, with a cap that pops off to reveal a small, circular cap underneath. I sometimes have trouble holding BL's tinier cap, but I'm quite clumsy as well! I also love how easy the shape makes it to store, since I store my polishes in those Ziploc containers in the door of my fridge. I can fit in tons of BLs because of this shape!

It wears quite well on me too. I get about 5-6 days of good wear, and I type all day long, so I would say that's pretty good, at least for me! I pay $14USD for mine, but it's worth it. There's no sickening "polish" smell since it's formulated without those chemicals, and it dries insanely fast! The other day I painted my nails then became very sleepy, and was able to get in bed totally dry and smudge free within 10 minutes!
