This was my first opi nail polish and I am very impressed! I would defiantly recommend this to my family. The application of the product is very easy, apply it like normal nail polish and it will soon shatter. I have noticed it looks best with bright reds and black.

I wasn't impressed with the other colors of the shatter(I've tried the black & white also). They both seemed a bit too thick when I put them on and dried up very quickly(even when I checked the lid to make sure it was on tight enough). This one seemed totally different. I layered it over Red polish(Go Ohio State Buckeyes!). The shatter seemed to go on in all the right places and show just the right amounf of both colors. All in all a good product.

I generally love the shatter/ crackle polishes. I read that OPI ones were particularly good, so I went ahead and ordered this one. I was sadly, sadly, disappointed. It's a beautiful silver sheen, but it only seems to crackle/ shatter nicely half the time. Sometimes the entire nail is covered in silver, with just one crackle down the middle. On one of my pinkies, there aren't any crackles at all! But, on some nails it looks great. Overall though, for the OPI price tag, I wouldn't buy it again. If I want shatter- I want it to shatter consistently on all 10 nails! And this just doesn't do it.

This was my first OPI purchase, and I really like it! I used a cheaper crackle polish and had such a fun time with it, that I decided to get this one, since I found it on sale. I generally have a really hard time spending more than $1 on polish. I've always been of the opinion that it is merely glorified paint, why on earth am I going to pay $8 bucks an ounce?!

Though I still feel that way, I've realized that I can sometimes notice a significant difference in the more expensive ones, and here is one time that I did!

The consistency is just amazing! The silver itself is beautiful, heavily sparkly! And the crackle effect looks great. I would recommend, to the people who've had poor results to give it another try. I found that it works best if you apply a thin coat, very quickly. Works great every time for me!

I got this with Mermaid Tears, I like the mermaid tail effect they give together. It's my fav nail combo and looks modern and beachy. It dries super fast and always shatters for me. I like applying it quickly for the perfect shatter, if you take your time and do 3 seperate strokes it doesn't look as good.

To get the shatter effect surely needs practice, but I gave this 2 lippies because the formula got so thick and gloopy so fast (after 2 months of the 'official' bottle opening) it was so darn difficult to get an even coat. Very frustrating. Planning to get some lacquer thinner to thin it out. But i do love the metallic finish, it was the reason why I bought it in the first place.

I'm only giving it a two because it's such a pretty color. On the downside, I don't like how it doesn't give as much of a shattered effect as the black shatter. I've tried applying it several ways, but I never get the right shatter. Maybe it's just my bottle?

The Silver Shatter has a beautiful glittery silver sparkle to it (you need to put on a clear topcoat to bring it out). It's really eye-catching & definitely gets noticed!

When I first put it on it seemed to look like lumps of glitter, but I was using too much. The trick is to use a thin coat all over the nail.

I've tried it over a number of colours, but I find the best colour is an opaque black. A dark navy or purple would probably work just as well.

I can't help looking at this nail polish, especially in the sun. It's amazing. I also get a LOT of compliments wherever I go. I will continue to use Silver Shatter & definitely recommend it!

i think OPI's silver shatter gives a really nice shattering effect, especially compared to all the other crackle/blast/cracked type of polishes out there. it's all in the application - it does take getting used to to get the right amount. i recommend one thing layer. don't make the mistake of going over it with more coats to 'even it out' because the best thing about shatter is that it's meant to look un-perfect :)

I have been disappointed by OPI in the past and this polish has just been added to my list of OPI let downs. When I was a young teen I found a polish by Cover Girl that gave a shattered effect and I loved it so when I saw that a similar polish was coming out I had to buy to it. I bought both black and silver shatter and they both barely give a shattered look. When I use the silver I can barely tell that there is a shattered effect. The black is more obvious but just barely. The Cover Girl polish from years ago was far better. Your nails actually had an obvious shattered effect. I highly doubt I will be trying any more polishes from OPI, and I will probably end up giving the silver polish to my daughter as fun glitter polish to play with. This polish was definitely not worth the amount of money it cost.

This is a cute shatter shade. It looks girly with pastel shades and gives a funkier look over dark polishes. It's a metallic silver full of teeny tiny micro sparkles.

LOVE this. This is my favourite shatter of them all. Looks amazingly glittery and cute. It is subtle depending on what you wear under it. Has a great finish as well. Only downside is mine has got a bit clumpy over time, but I still love it. "Shatters" really well each and everytime I use it

OPI Silver Shatter is the first shatter polish I have bought. The less subtle, more opaque shatter polishes don't really appeal to me, but I picked this one out after seeing how subtle and pretty it looked over OPI Mermaid's Tears on some of the nail polish blogs.

On first use, I found it cracked very well and whilst subtle over a light polish, the glitter is really beautiful. It also lasted for five days with only some minor tip wear, which is rare for me - I've chipped preofessional manicures within hours.

I will certainly rebuy, and on the strength of the silver's performance have decided to treat myself to a bottle of OPI's gold shatter.

When I first bought this product it was a thick and would not shatter when applied. I added a few drops of polish thinner and problem solved. I love this shatter over dark solid colours. I also prefer putting a clear top coat over for added shine

I love this polish! I've tried it so far with orange and red polishes, and they both look great. I like that it doesn't take it very long to dry, even if you use a thicker coat.
