I love this color. I was doing a Disney theme mani since I was going to see Disney on ice and to me this color matched Rapunzel's dress perfectly purple with a bit of pinky shimmer.
I had wanted this color when it initially came out at ulta but sold out quickly, I finally tracked it down months later.
I am a huge purple lover and this is one of my fave purple polishes at the moment.

In general, I am a fan of Zoya polishes. Application wise, I have no complaints. I just don't particularly like the color "Dannii".

1. I have an issue with the name. It sounds juvenile (two Ns and two Is...come on!)
2. It is a juvenile color (think My Little Pony meets Barbie fairy princesses)

It's not bad, and I love the Intimates collection that it comes in, but I probably will not use this polish enough to need to re-purchase this shade.

This is like a pretty metallic orchid shimmer polish. This polish made me fall in love with zoya. The formula is amazing. It is so easy to apply and is a must have!

I wasn't too much of a Zoya fan until this bottle. I didn't pay much attention to Zoya because I couldn't get it at any of my local beauty supply stores and Ulta carried very VERY limited supply (pretty much 4 bottles at a time...seriously). I saw this at Ulta and snatched it right away. I'm a sucker for shimmer nail polish and I was really diggin' the hint of gold. It's beautiful on and the glitter is super fine so you don't get that bumpy feeling on your nails. I'm now addicted to Zoya and I just put in a order for a bunch more bottles.

Dannii is a lovely mid-tone bright purple with pink undertones and lots of shimmer. (Tiny micro-glitter, not big chunky glitter.) When I saw the bottle in the store, I thought the shimmer was mostly silver and gold, but now that it's on my nails, in most lights the shimmer is actually a warm copper color that creates a gorgeous contrast with the purple base! Unlike some sparkly polishes, Dannii is pretty opaque -- I could almost get by with one coat, and two coats is completely opaque. It lasts just fine with a good top coat. I *love* this color on my fingernails, and it's ok on my toes but a bit lighter than what I usually use on my toes. This color is a must-have if you like purple nail polish!

To compare, Zoya's website describes this color as: "Medium orchid purple with pink and champagne highlights and flecks of silver metallic shimmer. A unique metallic with a pop of fun color to keep your look fresh."

OVERALL:
I gotta love my purple polishes! I like it so much that I also applied it to my toes! Dannii is part of Zoya's Intimate collection for spring 2011. A thin consistency with a metallic finish. It's a medium purple with silver shimmer and gold flecks. A very pretty color for spring. I would purchase this again for the following reasons:

1) APPLICATION:
Again, a thin consistency. I applied two coats. It was a bit bumpy, but bumps disappeared after I applied the top coat. I like Zoya's brushes, it allows application in 3-4 strokes.

2) WEARABILITY:
Dannii wears about five days before chipping. I wore this for a week and a half on my toes without any chipping.

3) REMOVAL:
Use 100 percent pure acetone as this is a glitter polish. Since 100 pure acetone dries my skin, I immediately follow with a thick hand and cuticle cream. I use Deborah Lippmann Rich Girl.

[Released as part of the Intimate collection]

I'm a purple polish junkie so most of my stash is purple, yet DANNII is still unique. It's a medium orchid pearlescent shade [which flashes with pink and champagne in various light] and flecks of silver micro-glitter that looks so pretty when they catch the light. I don’t usually like shimmery nail polishes, but the glitter particles here are so fine; they reflect the light to give more of a shiny, high polished look, rather then screaming glitter ball.

The shade becomes fully opaque with two coats.

DANNII is smooth to apply, leaving no bubbles or streaks despite the pearlescent formula and shimmer and I was impressed with the drying time; Five minutes after application it was touch dry and after ten minutes I was rummaging through drawers, there were no chips or smudges. I hadn't applied a top coat at that point. I must also comment on the design of the bottle and lid: The shape is very easy to grip, meaning there's less smudging and spills.

Using my usual [China Glaze] base and top coats this polish will last me around 2/3 days with only minimal wear; but I’m tough on my nails (self powered wheelchair user), so it will probably last longer on other people.
