okay, so i got the small version of this and at first i was amazed at the results. then i learned what a real bb was suppose to do and this does barley any of that. i started to loose respect for it then one day, i squeezed some on my hand, but a yellow liquid came out, i was so scared. i don't know what it was, all i know is that it isn't suppose to be there. anyone else notice this?

I have been on the hunt for a new foundation, and this product ends my search! It's hard for me to find products fair enought for my pale skin, but both shades 00 and 02 are light enough for me. I have never used a tinted moisturizer before, but I love how natural the finish is on this. It doesn't feel like you are wearing anything. It doesn't cover acne, so you will still need concealer. I still get a bit oily halfway through the day, but less so than with other foundations I've tried. The price is a bit expensive at $38, but it should last me quite a while and it's definitely worth it. Overall I highly reccomend this!

I have sensitive, combination skin that is relatively clear and I don't like wearing a lot of makeup so I wanted to give this a try since it's very natural. I have olive skin with yellow undertones and the color Veil is perfect for me. It does give buildable coverage and lasted about 4-5 hours on me without a primer. I really like the dewy finish it gives and it doesn't make me too shiny or oily. There is a tad bit of shimmer in it but it's not noticeable really. I would definitely recommend for those who don't need much coverage and like a more natural look. It did not make my skin break out at all.

Pros:
-Sheer-medium coverage
-Moisturizing
-Natural finish, not too shiny
Cons:
-Slightly thick
This is a good tinted moisturizer. It offers buildable coverage that doesn't cake up. It gives a nice healthy glow to the skin, but doesn't get too shiny. I suppose thats a result of the amazonian clay. For dry skin it might look a little cakey though. The only thing I didn't like was its consistency. It was a little thick, but overall great for everyday use if you're willing to spend the money to repurchase.

I love this! It just makes my skin feel so good! It makes it smoother and clearer! It IS a tinted moisturizer/bb cream, so it is a sheer coverage. Purchasing again and again! :)

I went in to Sephora last week asking for a sample of the Tarte BB Cream on a friend's recommendation. The girl accidentally gave me a sample of the Tarte Tinted Moisturizer. Whoops. But please notice I am NOT complaining! I thought it felt a little lotion-y for a BB Cream, but I've never had coverage like this from a TM before - it's great! It also kept my face from getting shiny all day - normally with a TM I expect to powder or blot once or twice. Not so with this, it has held up with a natural (not matte - I don't like that look anyways) finish for 10+ hours. The coverage is also buildable - a FANTASTIC quality in a TM. I've only had a few that have ever truly offered buildable coverage, and this is one of the best in that regard. Since I have some acne and scarring I use a little more than the average person, but if you have normal or good skin you won't use much. It does a great job evening both texture and tone - I always "pat" in foundation/BB Cream/TM around my nose where my pores are worst, and this product did a fine job hiding my pores with my process. A little concealer and bronzer and my skin looked AMAZING. The colors are great. I haven't bought it yet because I want to try Tarte's actual BB Cream before I drop the $$, but I probably will, after a week my skin looks great and much less dry. I think the Tarte package is just overdone. It's getting to the point where they are just being wasteful - I appreciate the effort for presentation but the product would be cheaper in a plain plastic lid.

I have oily/acne prone skin with some hyperpigmentation from old acne scarring on my cheeks. Lately I have wanted to simplify my beauty regimen while moving away from using foundation. It is important that the products I use are as natural as possible while delivering great results. After trying this product I have noticed an improvement in my skin. I have yellow/golden undertones with tan skin and often find that products are either too pink, orange, or yellow. This product blends nicely and offers more coverage than other tinted moisturizers. I find that using this with the Tarte crease less concealer and a sheer powder achieves a nice even and clean look. I have tried many natural and organic makeup lines and have been really pleased by this product. I have had little to no break outs after switching from mineral makeup and find that I am feeling more confident without makeup! A little goes a long way and if you have similar skin issues this is definitely worth a try!!

I just got this for xmas in agent 02 and it's perfect for me. My skin is a little more neutral (it's a bit yellow toned) but it's sheer enough it doesn't make too much of a difference. I set this with a small amount of mineral powder and it looks great and covers everything I need it to and it stays in place all day! I also like that it's spf 20. I will definitely have to grab another tube of this when summer rolls around.

I purchased this product over a year ago on a whim and now I am on my second bottle. I moved away from mineral powders (too messy) because I wanted a one-step product that would moisturize, cover flaws, and provide SPF protection. This tinted moisturizer fulfills my needs perfectly. It provides the coverage of a foundation, but is light like a moisturizer. I have combination skin, so after many hours, I will find myself needing to blot a little around my cheeks and T-zone but other than that I have no complaints. I feel this is my 'Holy Grail' of daily use foundation. My color is Agent 12 which is a medium tan color. I am difficult to match due to redness, and this matches perfectly!

This is an awesome product, with just a couple shortcomings. First, for reference, my skin type is combination leaning dry, and it's winter here in Alberta, Canada, so my face is even drier than normal. I'm also very pale and cool-toned. I purchased this product in the lightest shade, Agent 00. Canadian Sephoras jack up the prices, so at $47 it wasn't cheap. However, I'm inclined to say it's almost worth it for a good TM from a cruelty-free company.
This has great coverage for a TM, it's comparable to a light-medium coverage foundation and has a thick, creamy consistency that spreads and blends in nicely. I have fairly clear skin, my breakouts are rare and usually just 1-2 zits. But I do have dark circles and some red eczema around my nose, both of which always require some colour-correction and concealer, and a bit of an uneven tone. However, this product does a great job at evening out my skin tone and giving it a nice finish. I do not have to use very much colour corrector and concealer with this product; I look SO much better with this even before I apply anything else. With a dusting of setting powder, it's perfect coverage for me. My skin looks clear, matte, and pretty, a "my skin but better" look where I don't appear to be made-up (I like a matte look. If you prefer a dewey glow, I wouldn't say this is for you). And you gotta love the SPF!
However, I do think this product is better at oil control than moisturization (it keeps shine away pretty well and seems to stay on all day, even if I hit the gym!). It gives a nice boost of hydration, but it's not quite enough for my winter skin, especially once I put my powder on. For the price I would like this product to streamline my routine and replace my day lotion. However, as mentioned, it is winter here. If this product can stand alone as a moisturizer when the warmer months roll around, but I still need a day lotion in the winter, I'm willing to let that slide because my skin just needs a little more love in the winter.
Overall, I strongly recommend this product. I am going to continue to sample different TM's and BB's to find the best value for the price, but I can definitely see myself buying this again and again!
P.s.- I think Tarte just slapped the "BB" label on this product when BB's got big, but I wouldn't say it qualifies as a BB. It's thicker and has more coverage than a BB, and the finish is more matte than luminous- definitely a TM.
UPDATE: Just FYI, I recommend stippling this on. I've been doing that the last two days with my E.L.F. Studio powder brush and it gives a perfect application and finish. It might sound weird to do that with a TM but try it, it works really really well!

There's not much I can say for "pros" of this product. It has minimal coverage (as it should since it's a tinted moisturizer), but what's with the shimmer?? I tested it out on my chin and within a day i broke out terribly. I really wanted to like this so I can ease out of my heavy foundation routine, but for me, it simply didn't work.

I must be one person this tinted moisturizer doesn't work for, however I suspect there was a recent formula change since it was sold to me as a tinted moisturizer, but had "BB" on the package. I'm on my third day of wearing this and went from clear skin to broken out all over my chin and forehead and I'm starting to get some bumps on my cheeks. This tinted moisturizer is also heavier than my current foundation, which makes me question the point of tinted moisturizer. So broken-out, greased up feeling all over my face, I will be returning it tomorrow.

This is a pretty nice TM. more coverage than most TMs... I find that the staying power is pretty good, I get about 8 hours or so- and touchup is very easy. However, the glitter, which i didn't think would bother me, actually started to bother me. It is generally unnoticeable, unless in sunlight. then you definitely can see gold flecks in your makeup and Im not always a fan of that. However, didn't break me out and I WILL keep it in my makeup stash for days when I need a long lasting, light TM.

Tarte, you have saved my face! I hate wearing foundation, I hate having thick layers on my face. I've tried a lot of lighter foundations and tinted moisturizers which usually broke me out or oxidized. I also started getting more into natural stuff so on a whim I tried Tarte and I was hooked immediately. This stuff has pretty good coverage for being a tinted moisturizer. I have redness across my nose and on the sides of it as well as under eye circles and all that good stuff. With one layer this pretty much covers everything. I do conceal in my under eye area and around my nose but that's typically needed anyway. The price is awesome at I think 36? I usually have mine for about 4 to 6 months and I use it daily. So 6 bucks a month for a natural product for an awesome looking face? Count me in! I never experienced the SPF smell that some people have so that was never a problem. It does seem like there's shimmer in the formula but once it's on your face it all just blends in and it's unnoticeable. I have combo skin and this never makes me oily except on my dang forehead....but that's a lost cause anyway. Awesome tinted moisturizer Tarte!

This TM has a very thick, gel-creme consistency. To me, it has the thick look/feel of a tinted ss more than a TM - more coverage than I'd expect in a TM, and a heavier look.It covers my slight hyperpigmentation, but not the more visible places, nor broken capillaries. I have dry skin, so this needs a moisturizer underneath or mixed in ( which has the advantage of sheering it out). Otherwise, this sets so fast that it won't blend in well. It has a slightly satiny matte finish, which lasts well over 5 hours for me before needing a t-zone blot. SPF is 20, but there is no way I could wear enough of this to get that protection. It's way too heavy and thick, plus it would be too costly. Of course, that's not the primary reason for choosing a TM. I won't be repurchasing because the shades available are all too yellow for me, but if the shades suit you, it is a nice formula.

Overall, it is a very nice tinted moisturizer that kept my oily skin relatively matte throughout the day (even during especially hot and humid couple of weeks). I did have to blot throughout the day several times, however, it wasn’t a huge problem for me as I’m kind of used to that. However, it broke me out horrible after those 2-3 weeks that I was using it. At first, I wasn’t sure why my skin was getting gradually more and more congested, however, after eliminating this product from my routine, it became clear that it was responsible for a nasty rash on the lower half of my face (sides of my cheeks and chin especially). After reading the reviews, it seems as though this is not a common problem for people. I can only attribute this to the orange extract that the product contains. I’m allergic to oranges and should have been more careful. I’m still trying to clear up my skin and it is slowly getting better. But yeah, anyway, beware! I’d suggest spot testing the product for a week or so before using it all over the face.

Best tinted moisturizer ever! It has somewhat of a gel-like texture - feels very lightweight and hydrating. Coverage is buildable, smooths out the texture of skin and wears well throughout the day.

I LOVE this tinted moisturizer! It gets a little shiny if I don't use powder over, but other than that it's perfect. I love the shades. I'm able to find a perfect match for both my summer and winter skin. It goes on well and it doesn't feel like I'm wearing makeup, which is the number 1 thing I look for in a product. Can't live without this TM!
