I got this as part of the Natural Flirt collection. I don't wear makeup often but whenever I wear eyeshadow I use this. It took me a while to work out the best way to apply this - I use a tiny amount and massage it between my ring fingers. I then use one finger for each eye, gently patting the product across my eyelid and then blending it up to the browbone. There are soft shimmers in this product that look beautiful, making this product great for an effortless natural glow over the eyes. My eyelids are a little oily but not too bad and after a long day my eyeshadows may be slightly creased. Not so bad that it looks terrible but easily fixable by blending the little creased eyeshadows together with my ring finger - this gives me eyeshadow another few hours of life. I've found it lasts about 10 hours on me, depending on the level of activity I've been through in the day, before I need to check on it. However, I do think for the price there are better products out there so once I'm done with this I will be testing the UDPP and comparing it to the Etude House Eye 10 Primer which is a fraction of these high end products' prices.

I got this in a deluxe sample so i have used it a lot and so far it's just not working for me like UDPP. I like the glow on my eye's in general with some eyeliner and it's very pretty. In terms of keeping my shadow on I was so upset because one eye completely creased and came off. Like I had a strip of my skin then my eye makeup not a good look at all:(
Now sometimes from allergies one eye tears and I can usually handle my eye makeup or it will at least stay on with the UDPP. With the Too Face I got about 3 good hours so that was a bummer.
I will use this on it's own as a shadow but as a primer even Tartes was a lot longer lasting then this one. I know their glitter primer is awesome and that I will get but this I will not purchase in full size. I will use up the tube on days when my allergies aren't so bad. It's really pretty so it's a shame it didn't work for me.:(

I love the original Shadow Insurance by Too Faced so I thought I would give the Candlelight version a try since it just looks so pretty to have on the lids as it peeks through your shadow. Big mistake. I don't understand why it does this but it creases so badly on me! the original did not crease even after 12 hours, while candlelight creased within a few hours of application. Returning and never buying it again.

I had high hopes for this product, but unfortunately I'm too oily for it to work. I put it on in the morning and by lunchtime it was all gathered in my crease. I gave it a rating of 2 because I really did like the color and sparkle, but it just didn't last. It's too expensive of a product to not work. I'm sure it would be great for someone that has normal skin, but not oily.

This was the first eye primer I ever used and I didn't really know what to expect. I received a sample of this about a year ago and the sample isn't even close to running out. I really don't understand why they tried to make this have a color in it because it seriously just looks like a regular eye primer. I noticed it kind of looked patchy on my lids and it dried my lids out a bit and accentuated my dryness on them too. It is very hard to blend too. Once you put it on your lids you have to blend quickly or it will look really REALLY patchy in some areas. I really didn't notice a better staying power when I applied eyeshadow, it still made my shadows crease...well my shadows crease with every primer even UDPP, but I think it's just because my eyelids are hooded/oily. I wouldn't repurchase, definitely not that great.

I bought this when I was nearly out of my UDPP. I LOVE UDPP, but I was intrigued by the promise of a little shimmer in my primer, so I figured I'd give this a shot.
First of all, it's not so much shimmery as just full-on glittery. Second, it didn't really do much to improve the wear or application of my eye shadow like UDPP does. Finally, it dried out the skin on my eyelids and brow bone like nothing I've ever seen. It was flake city up there, and adding glittery primer did not help with the look.
I switched back to UDPP 2 days ago and my skin is already back to normal, so I know it was this stuff messing with my skin. Learned my lesson - sometimes it's better to just stick with what you know you love.

I got this in a set with other products (that I love btw) and I tought that this will be a really good product.
I don`t have oily lids, but they are darker than my face and I whanted something for that. This is not good at all! It just a glittery eyeshadow that does not cover the dark lids.
It`s very drying too!(I have dry skin already)
I will not buy this again!

I must have gotten a bad batch or something because I can't believe the raves on here.
First things first, this is a primer and it creases. That alone is a 1 lippie product. Second, there is no coverage at all, just a light sheen of sparkles. I have dark eyelids and was hoping that this would cover the darkness and open my eyes a bit. No such luck.
This is a total failure for me.

i got it as a part of the bon bons shadow set and i absolutely love it! holds on to the shadows great and its a shimmery base so itll give any matte shadow a hint of it but not alot so its great and you can use it as an eyeshadow like the paint pots from MAC its a golden frosty look so it blends very well with the colors and it does its job ! a little goes a long way so for 18-20 bucks its awesome

LOVE this. I have a sample of the legendary UDPP but decided to buy this TFSI off ASOS instead. I bought this before I bought the Anti-Crease TFSI.
The eye primer glides smoothly across my eyelids, blending like a dream. The shimmer acts like an eyeshadow base. Eyeshadow stays on ALL day without creasing. With a tube like this, I get the appropriate amount on my fingertips easily & it's hygienic & doesn't pump air into the tube.
However, there is a strange chemical smell but I got over that quickly as it's such a beautiful shimmer primer!
Will definitely repurchase!

I am not a shimmery eye shadow user. I prefer mattes, simply because I feel like I am too old to pull off shimmer. This, however is a different thing entirely. I put this on under my matte shadows and somehow it shines through, in a good way. I can't explain it but I like the idea of being in a candlelit room, this softens the edges around my eyes. I love things that multi task so this was a great find for me, keeps the shadow on, enhances the look of my shadow and can work in a pinch as an eye shadow. It is a complete winner in my book!

This stuff is awesome. I love the sexy yellow/ bronze shade it gives my eyes. I constantly kept using this as a regualr eyeshadow. it stays all day so its perfect as an everyday product. Definitely an HG eyeshadow primer!

I think the Urban Decay eye primer has longer staying power but I like the illuminated look that this primer gives. I probably will go back to Urban Decay whenever this runs out (it takes me forever to go through a tube of eye primer so probably some time next year) but I like it enough to not return it. Also, the packaging is nice.

I really love this primer! HG for me. I have really bad darkness around my eyes from allergies and I feel like the yellow tone/shimmer in this brightens everything up. I literally use a pinhead size amount per eye and I smooth it on with the Mac 252 shader brush. A little goes a really long way and I'm sure this tube will last for ages. It helps my shadow and liner last all day and intensifies the color. I also tend to get creasing (I have deep set, hooded eyes) and this prevents it completely. Awesome product, will repurchase!

This is hideious next to Lemon drop and the orignial. You cannot see your shadow over it, it is so glaringly small, smooth glitz. Not for me. Could be worn alone if you like the color.

Most of my eyeshadows are shimmery, and this primer is incredibly shimmery as well. That is the main reason I wouldn't buy the product again. Also, most of the times I use it I get more a liquid consistency out of the tube before I get the actual product out. (kind of like the liquid that comes out of a bottle of mustard before you shake it) This is annoying, but I make it work.
Other than that, it does prevent from creasing wonderfully and also holds the color on my lids very well. And it also gives a little shine when I apply my matte colors over it. Overall, it does its job quite nicely.

I actually like this better than the original. It somehow works better on me.
I have both matte and shimmery eyeshadows and when I wear matte eyeshadows I use MAC's paint pot to prime. When I wear shimmery eyeshadows, I use this! It is great, keeps creasing at bay and also intensifies the color of my eyeshadows I apply over it.

Ew. I like the original Too Faced Shadow Insurance just fine (it's not my favorite by far, but it's sufficient), but this stuff is terrible. Forget the greasy texture or the diminished quality of this as compared to other primers, those aren't the main problems. I just can't get over how much this cakes up and how terrible it looks on my eyelids. I use a very tiny amount, just enough to cover each eyelid and my bottom lashline area, but this genuinely just looks like I've put a glob of Revlon Photoready Foundation on my eyelids. I thought this would look glowy and luminous, like it did when I swatched it on my hand, but I'm very disappointed. And it doesn't last more than five or so hours before creasing (compared to the original formula, which generally gets me 8 or 9). Definite waste of money. If you like Too Faced, stick to the original. And if you want the shimmer, just use an eyeshadow.

I love this primer so much I can not live without it :) I have hooded eyes so almost everything creases and it was a major problem to me. Ever since I started using shadow insurance it NEVER creased and the colors stayed the same for hours. Candlelight has a little light golden shimmer to it which I like because that means that if I'm in the rush I can just apply it then put some mascara on and I'm ready to go. It makes my eyes brighter. I will buy again.
