I have a short, almost pixie or boy cut and this product works great. I've tried a number of other products and find this gives great hold without being heavy or getting crispy. It's great for creating "bed-head" or a messy look, but can also slick down fly aways and fringe. It's a soft, white, creamy, almost "whipped" wax. Comes in a good-sized plastic jar, kind of mid-range in price, but worth it. I also like The Body Shop's beeswax, but prefer the DHC as it doesn't build up as quickly, so you can add more while styling without things getting too waxy too fast.

This wax is very creamy in texture when you put it on, but does behave as a light wax. I have very fine, thick long hair. This product gives some texture, smoothes frizz, allows quick re-styling with my hands and adds volume. It only takes a small amount for my hair, so for $10, I think the price is quite reasonable. If you have very thick coarse hair, it might require a lot of this product.

I have thick, wavy hair that's hard to get to look flat & neat--it always sticks up around the hairline and sides of my head. Sometimes I dab a bit of conditioning cream on it before I go out, but that needs to be combed through and doesn't always work, even when I apply a lot. But this wax only needs a bit for flyaways on my hairline, though it does need to be combed through elsewhere. I just rub some through my errant strands and they flatten without combing! I like this a lot, though it's too pricey, so I'll wait for a sale.
