used this for a few years but just thought it was a fad so bought a few different bronzers and they were all too orange or sparkly or mixed with too much pink blush so have found my way back to thin lizzy and am so happy! I use a tiny bit of foundation and brush this over the top for a natural sunb kissed look (truly) then use as a bronzer on my cheeks and dust over my eyes and i look like a total beach babe! I tan very easily but my face is always pale and freckly so this stuff rocks. you will never go back

gives me pimples if I wear it to often. okay the brush is okay. the powder works fine on my white with yellow complexion skin as a blush, contour and just around my face all VERY lightly but if I put it on as a eye shadow I look like iv been punched in the eyes lol.

I saw the thin lizzy range in big w and I needed a new foundation,it's very hard to find my shade and tone but I bought the foundation in minx (omg! A perfect match!) and the 6in1 in light.first off the foundation price of $39? Is ok I paid that for nude by nature but I hated loose powder and had to get both light and med to get my shade,so that's why I bought thin lizzy, the 6in1 in light is the nicest bronzes iv used (iv uses it as a bronzer eyeshadow and contour but not as a full face veil or on the lips,I'm medium tanned and I can't get away with it as a "foundation" even with a very light hand.the packaging is simple with mirror built in,it's small and sleek to fit in any bag/purse,the brush is lovely and silky soft, the price though is abit much $49! I wish they would sell this on its own,not as a double or with the other useless stuff you get with it,the eyeliner is average the gloss is the most horrible texture and feel (it's so sticky, gluey and heavy feeling).i like the 6in1 but I wish they'd sell it on its own and for what's its really worth and its defiantly not worth $49

I have olive toned skin, but am not as dark as I look. This is a very silky bronzer, but definitely not an all over complexion perfector as Thin Lizzy claims- that is outrageous they are pitching it this way- they should just mention that you need to use their mineral foundation first to even out your skin. Maybe instead of selling the tin with double of everything (who needs that sticky lipgloss- it's got the consistency of boiled sugar???), sell the bronzer for what it's worth on it's own with the brush, and then customers will pay for the mineral foundation as well.
Use a light hand, and only for contouring and eye shadow... maybe some light face framing... although the bismuth in it caused me to break out around my jawline (my skin has been beautiful until this intro into my routine) But I will say it glides on beautifully, and has great staying power.
Shifty marketing ploy by the company though... I would have scored it a 4 if I wasn't annoyed about the outright lie of it working as skin coverage too- it just makes you look like a victim of a bad fake tanning accident, and actually highlights blemish marks, redness etc!!!

when i bought it at the local supermarket it comes in two inside the tin case. with two brushes and a lip gloss.

the product is not really good to use as '6-in-1' because like me i have a medium skin colour and the more layers i put on my face the darker i look. the product also doesnt stay on my face through out the day. it comes off just minutes after i put it on.

but it is really good as a bronzer :)

I bought this about 6 months ago and Ive been wearing and trying it ever since. I have mixed feelings for this product. I was fooled by the commercial that the powder could act as a foundation, blush, bronzer, eyeshadow AND a lipcolor. WRONG! totally, WRONG! If you use this as a powder foundation, expect a drastic change in your skintone as it makes you so much more tan! But hey if that is what you want go for it. I did get compliments for having a glowing tan though. I wont be buying this again because the kit i bought came with two compacts, 2 double ended eyeliners, 2 brushes and 2 clear lipgloss's. The eyeliner stays on forever! The lipgloss is as thick as glue and feels like glue aswell! Overall I think I might stick to liquid foundations for a while.

LOVE THIS!
I dont understand all the bad reviews of this product, its wonderful!
I have very very fair skin and this is by far the best bronzer for me (i have the light shade)
I have been using this for about 2 years and im still only half way through my first one
The key to using this is to only use A SMALL AMOUNT, you will no way end up orange. 2-3 LIGHT swirls and then lightly dust on the cheeks, for contouring press a bit harder and then squeeze the brush like the instructions say
I use this as a bronzer on my cheeks, eye shadow when going for a natural look and i use it for contouring also on my cheeks. I dont like to use it as a face framer because then yes it gets a bit dark and brown overload
This product is also great for when im fake tanned, i can build it up to be a full coverage face powder and also helps blending in the tan from neck to face
It comes with a wonderful brush which is soft and good quality- mine still looks brand new
The lip gloss i find very drying but it does work with the powder as a lovely nude lip colour
The eye-liner is great, the sharpening end is handy and works well, the eye-liner itself is not bad very basic and good for everyday use on the lower eye
Definitely repurchasing

I bought this 5yrs ago and I didn't like it. It caused my skin to breakout. I don't know why but I decided to buy it again thinking that maybe I need to wash my brushes more often....again I ended up with little bumps on my face again. Also it didn't seem to suit my skin color. I'm asian and tanned and this just looks really dirty on me. lol

Like all the other reviews say, when applied all over you give te impression of an oompa loompa. I have to say I agree. I now only use this as a cheekbone highlighter, and even then, less is more. I chucked out the lipgloss and tin as soon as they arrived.. The eyeliner now sits with the rest of my billion of eyeliners hardly used. But I do like how it is brown and black. I love the brush! And use it with all my other powders too. I have started using it as an eyeshadow for school, as it is really subtle but looks lovely. :)

first of all, im so happy to see quite a few new zealanders on makeupalley!

now onto the product itself...its advertised as a bronzer, an eyeshadow, a contour, a lip colour and a blush. but seriously, any odd bronzers can do all of the above so its nothing special. to me its just an average bronzer at an average price (i just bought 11 all about glo bronzers for $25, now thats a bargain!). the eyeliners that comes with the pack are rubbish, the lip glosses smell nice but are sticky as hell, i like the brushes though and use them for other bronzers. i have used up a twin pack of bronzers and really they are nothing special and i cringe everytime i see some chick loading this up on her entire face...anyways the packaging fell apart half way through the usage so not super impressed about that. i must say their mineral foundation is nice though...as for the bronzer, nothing special..

What a patchy orange nightmare. Unless you're going for the snooki look. I can't believe I was fooled into buying this as a teenager thinking I'd get the 'results' they boast on those ridiculous ads. I did use it as a foundation, and my mum said she thought I'd tried to cover up bad fake tanning with foundation. How embarrassing!!! Needless to say I stopped using it damn quick. What a horrible company incessantly badgering people to buy this awful product.

I had a sales lady apply this on me in store and and it was so horrible it even had the sales lady panicking about what she'd just done to my face. Firstly I am pale, I do have light golden/olive undertones to my skin except for my face really due to problem skin causing blemishes and redness etc, my face never really seems to tan much during summer so its pretty pale, check profile pick for reference. Anyhow this stuff was way to dark and orange for my skin and it was the lighter version that she applied that was meant to be for lighter colored skin, in the pan the so called 'light' color did look very dark, and when applied it came out just as dark but also seemed to make my face look very red to, it also applied patchy and I immediately thought oh my goodness I look like I've been playing in dry dust outside whilst sweating and smeared it all over my face. Anyhow needless to say, the sales lady immediately removed it from my face without even needing to be asked (perhaps my expression said it all for her lol), I definitely would never ever in my life purchase this stuff and if it ever came down to this was the only makeup in the world and you either had to wear it or go bare faced I'd choose bare faced.

This product is only good as a bronzer/contour in my opinion. Like other reviewers have stated, it only comes in two shades (light/dark) so it doesn't quite suit everyone. As a foundation which is what it's primarily marketed as, it's pretty horrible. Very orange, splotchy and uneven. The lipglosses in the pack are very cheap, sticky and smell very synthetically sweet. Eyeliners smudge like crazy and don't stay on me very well. The brush is probably the only decent thing. It's soft and rarely sheds - I use it with my other powders. Also, this is ridiculously overpriced for what it actually achieves. The informercials which show the before/after pictures are obviously photoshopped in my opinion.

This is some of the worst foundation. It comes in two shades; Light and dark. The ads say it "works for pale skin as it adds a tan" but this makes you orange. I never, ever want to wear this again because I WILL look like an oompa loompa. The advertising for it is relentless. It goes on and on and on and there's even a jingle that goes with it. Once that's in your head, it's never going out! They try to get you to buy this product by advertising on television all day, on the radio all day and trying to offer you loads of free stuff and then after all that doubling all the products just to get you to buy it, but I warn you not to unless you want to use it as a bronzer and a bronzer alone.

This stuff is revolting. Everytime you see someone overly orange walking around town you know they have used it. You really have to know what you are doing to use this stuff. This is promoted as the best thing for everyone but seriously doesn't work for super pale people like me. Its horribly sparkly and looks like dirt on the face. Tacky and trashy. Natural glow was a far superior product. The only good part is the brush, it is good quality and a good contouring blush brush.

I'm on the fence with this product. The reviewer below explained it pretty well in terms of what the product offers and can be used for, but I don't think it's the ''miracle'' product that the infomercials claim it out to be. I first got this kit in 'Light' about 3 years ago and still have alot of the products in the tin left. I use this mainly as a bronzer/contour and face framer since it looks very natural and does not have any shimmer in it, but as a foundation I don't think it works very well for me. It evens out my skin-tone slightly, but that's about it.

Since the shade ranges are very limited, (only came in 'Light' or 'Dark' back when I brought it), you have to slowly build up the colour to suit your skin-tone, and I feel like you can easily go overboard with it and comes off looking too dark if you accidently apply too much.
I do admit it is a good fake tanner as well, especially if you need to blend in tan lines, but it transfers quite easily on clothes which is a shame.

The brush that comes with it is very nice, it doesn't shed easy, very soft and I still use it. It's small enough for a makeup bag, so I tend to keep it in there for my purse. The lip-glosses, I could do without. They are clear strawberry scented ones that you are meant to mix with the powder for a 'natural' lip colour, or apply on its own. They are too sticky for my liking. The eyeliners are handy since they are double-ended (brown and black with a built-in sharpener), but smudge on my waterline, however are still very creamy and I find they are okay for tight-lining.

I gave this a 2 overall since I don't get as much use out of it as what the product is intended for, so it is fairly expensive to pay if your just using it for a bronzer/contour like I am. I would only recommend it for a bronzer since it is matte and not orange looking.

This is really big in New Zealand and Australia for all ages but young people go crazy over it because of the humourous instructional advertising. It comes in a kit with 2 identical bronzing powders, 2 double-ended black/brown eyeliner pencils with sharpener caps, 2 clear strawberry scented lip glosses, and a decorative makeup tin suitable for keeping makeup or makeup brushes in. I don't care for the strongly scented strawberry lip glosses, I'd bin them or give them to a child, and I've never bothered with the eyeliners either as I have oily eyelids and stick to what I like. But the bronzing compact and the bronzer brush are worth the price of the kit IMO.

I love popping the slim mirrored compact in my handbag as its so useful in an "emergency". They say it can be used for eyeshadow, body bronzer, face bronzer, blush, contouring, a lip color, and if you have darker skin to suit, an all-over foundation as well. So thats the 6 n 1 claim.

There's a dark version and a light version, I got light as I have fair skin. ln the pan it looks scarily dark, like a dark nude. On the skin its a golden brown nude with fine gold shimmers throughout that really gives the face a glow! I usually find bronzers too dirty looking and patchy over my oily areas but as a bronzer on my fair golden skin this one looks glowy and natural and always smooth and even. I've used it as an eyeshadow too and this particular color I think brings out blue eyes. Doesn't crease or highlight wrinkles in the eye area. I've used it on lips with clear lip gloss and it was happy with the summery beach babe glow.

For contouring, even though it does have a slight shimmer it can be still used as a contour powder as the base is still matt and there's no nasty wierd red or orange tones. If I had to pick an undertone I'd say peach or antique gold. My favourite place to use as a body bronzer is for legs in the summer and the backs of hands as I dont tan. The brush is made of natural hair, I think its sable, and it applies blush, bronzer and mineral foundation and face powder perfectly and smoothly. I often take it away with my mineral foundations as its nice and compact and is multipurpose. My current one has happily lasted for years - it was my first brush :)

You can't buy the bronzers individually, but the whole kit retails in stores for only NZ $49.95 (about $38 US now).
