I loved this product when it was in the genie bottle. Now it's on the squeeze tube which dries out. The newer formulation also makes my eyes feel like they have sand in them. It's really sad because the color is amazing. Urban decay really went down hill some being acquired by loreal. Less brights, more shades or brown than anyone should own, and cheaper lower end formulations. I miss the older, more ethical urban decay. Sadly they are lining the pockets of a huge company that contributes to animal testing, and charging the same price for products that less quality to meet the mass production. I miss old urban decay :(

Wow! A friend bought this for me at Ulta when it was on sale for only 10 bucks. Usually I think its about 25, but i would have bought it for 25 dollars! The color is absolutely beautiful. Be warned: if you are looking for a clear plain primer, this is not for you. It is gold shimmer. However, it is gorgeous, and truly worth the price. You can put a little on by itself for a naturally shimmery look, or you can put eyeshadow on top. This primer makes cheap eyeshadow look shimmery and vibrant! Buy it! its worth the expensive price!

I bought this colour by accident one day when I was in Sephora in a hurry not knowing that it was gold instead of the original clear formula. HOWEVER, I ENDED UP LOOOOOVING THIS. I personally wear mainly champagne or gold eyeshadows and I find that this primer just gives it that extra POP!! Great to add some drama to a more casual look or to go full out with your party makeup. While I love the product I dont love the price and feel there are better, less expensive options out there for me to explore before I decide to come back and repurchase this product.

UDPP is one of my HG products and I've tried all the shades, Greed's the last one I got to. I was expecting pigmentation along the lines of Sin or Eden, instead it's like the clear base of the original with sparse gold sparkles throughout. Very sheer. It's so sheer that there's not really a point. All of the benefits of the original formula are there (no creasing, vibrant, long lasting color, etc.) which is why I give this a 3, but the weak gold color is dissapointing. I don't know if maybe the color doesn't work with my skintone or I got a bad tube or what. I've tried layering it but it's so sheer that didn't help much. I won't repurchase.

I purchased Greed and it is definitely a vibrant gold sparkle primer. You can wear this alone or along with shadow. It is quite vibrant so I layer a more natural eyeshadow over it to tone it down a bit, but I have also worn it alone on occasion. I will probably repurchase, but in the sheer nude, not the gold again. While fantastic, the gold competes with my eye makeup sometimes. One great trick is to apply just under the lower lash or in the corner of the eye, it really pops there.
Make sure you don't apply too much, a little goes a long way!

I love love love this primer. It makes all of my eye shadow look fabulous, glide one easily, and it stays all day. I even have to use my waterproof makeup remover to get the shadow off at the end of the day. I wasn't so impressed with the original one but I decided to try this one in ulta one day and I am glad I did!! I was using MAC's paint pot in painterly as a base but it was making all my eye shadow color just look muddy.

This is a fairly expensive product, but I seriously love it to death.
I like the newer packaging better than the old, to start off. It is easier to use up all the product and to get your money's worth.
The packaging of this one is adorable. I think the packaging of Greed is the best and my favorite because it has a nicer match of color and it fits the theme Urban Decay is trying to get.
I don't know why people like the original better than this one. I like this one better because it adds a slight gold tint to your look. Of course if you don't want that, then I don't recommend this primer. I also tend to use it as a base eyeshadow, and it makes a good one. It applies easily and I think it's worth the $40-$50.

THe original is my favorite primer, I really like this as well, it is just less versatile because of the gold shimmer, but i think that that is the point.

I love that this gives a golden base but it's kinda hard to blend and spread. It makes my eyeshadow last all day though and its pretty!

This is my least favorite of the UD Primers. The consistency of the primer seems to be oiler/slicker than the others. It doesn't blend as well--rather it seems to want to slide off. It is the only primer from UD that didn't last all day for me. I found I had to reapply and layer it to keep it fresh. Also, the gold tone was not very flattering to my pale skin. Maybe layered with something else this would be okay but I haven't tried anything else with it yet. I am thankful it came as part of a set and not something that I purchased by itself full price or I would definitely return it.

Every time I go to Ulta, I allow myself to splurge on one high end product. Urban Decay is by far my favorite high end brand. I love the color of this product, it's my favorite out of the three colored primers.

I have actually grown to adore this! I have been using the original PP for years and I love it to bits. I was really intrigued when UD came out with Sin, Greed and Eden and I managed to get the mini tubes off of ebay to try out. The first few times I used Greed I was not impressed. I always apply primer on my lids using my finger to blend. Even though I used this sparingly, the gold glitter just went everywhere! It spread towards my nose and even onto and below my lower lashline. The staying/priming power wasn't great either, so I was quite disappointed.
BUT: I have recently learned that I need to apply eyeshadow primer with a small BRUSH, or ANY primer I use (TF Shadow Insurance, NARS, UDPP) will start letting the oil on my lid below the crease shine through within a few hours! I was getting really desperate as no primer seemed to be able to keep the movable part of my lid matte. Using a brush makes all the difference in the world! I just dab a bit all over my lid with the doefoot applicator, then blend, blend, blend with a small brush and let it set for a few minutes before I apply my eyeshadow. Finally my eyeshadow stays on for hours without creasing!
This way I could make UD Greed work as well! I love using it under matte shadows, since it gives such a gorgeous glow when the golden sparkles shimmer through the matte shadows. I love combining this with unusual colours like a cool pink, matte coral or a bright teal for a really unique look. I'm not fond of pairing this with shimmery shadows, because the result is just too much. I also like how this is not an opaque gold (as the Sin primer is an opaque bronze) but rather a clear base with gold shimmer, which makes it possible to combine it with colours that aren't in the brown spectrum. LOVE!!!

I would only buy it again because it makes Urban Decay's shadow "Midnight Cowgirl" look a million times more radiant.

THIS IS NOT A GOOD PRODUCT IF YOU HAVE OILY SKIN. I have not tried this product yet, however I looked at all the reviews and sure enough, EVERYONE who gave a review saying it creased stated they had oily/combination skin and nearly everyone who said it locked their eyeshadow in place stated they had dry or normal skin. If you have dry skin, this will likely work well; if you have oily lids, DO NOT PURCHASE!
I just wanted to point that out. I will purchase this soon, as I have dry skin, and I'll let you know what I think of it once I do!
Ok! I have tried it. It works wonderfully!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love it!!!!!! I really like the color; I especially love layering honey-yellow powder shadows over it, it makes them look like jeweled sunshine. It gives any shimmery eyeshadow worn over it a lovely jewel-like finish. And it makes my shadows stay in place ALL. FLIPPIN. DAY. I am serious. Once, I put on my makeup early in the morning, went to a pool party where I swam for several hours, and then forgot to wash my face at night. The next afternoon, IT WAS STILL THERE. Faded, yes, but most of it still in place. I have this one cheap eyeshadow palette from L.A. Colors. No matter what I did, I could not stop those shadows from smudging all over and transferring. I tried several primers from the drugstore; this was the only thing that would make it stay in place.
BUT.................
APPLY. SHADOW. WHILE. PRIMER. IS. FRESH.
APPLY. SHADOW. WHILE. PRIMER. IS. FRESH.
APPLY. SHADOW. WHILE. PRIMER. IS. FRESH.
APPLY. SHADOW. WHILE. PRIMER. IS. FRESH.
When i was first trying it out, i applied the primer, let it dry for a few minutes, and then afterwards applied eyeshadow. The primer stayed in place, but the eyeshadow smudged off within half an hour. However, when i applied eyeshadow while the primer was still wet, it stayed in place with absolutely zero smudging, fading, creasing, or ANYTHING for OVER 24 hours. This can be annoying, though, because it's very sticky while wet. This is great fr grabbing hold of shadow, but makes it difficult to blend, hence the 4 stars,
This still may not be for people with oily skin. I don't know. But it worked VERY well for me! I recommend going into Sephoras to test it out before buying, because clearly it's not for everyone. So before you shell out $18, I say go see if it's for you.

I love Urban Decay primer, but this one in particular is best for my complexion, shimmer golds usually go well on my tanned skin. I've been using the original purple one for quite sometime now and I must say they work great.
I have a really bad habit of forgetting or being to lazy to wash my face before I go to bed, but I find that this primer holds very well without smudging my eye make up.
As for the shading, it's perfect for me but I can see it not working for a lot of people. This is probably why the original is so popular and wanted because its more versatile.

I got this in the "Little Sins" set. I love the orginal UDPP so I thought I would try these. Greed is awful. It has a pretty gold shimmer but as a primer it's terrible. It feels sort of oily, and I think my shadows creased faster than they would have without it. I had to toss this one, too bad, if it worked better it would be pretty.

Out of all the primer potions, this one is the hardest to work with. I was really excited to recieve this bc Ive tried all of their potions. This one was irritating cuz it was mostly glitther when I swipe it across my lids. I bought it for the fact that it was a gold base so for neutrals I thought it would make a nice pop. Ehhh, I still have to work with this one. All I see is glitter, no gold base. Reading some reviews, some people say to layer on the color, but that would just lead to cakiness. Id skip this primer if I was you & maybe go for MAC indianwood pp instead!

This primer potion is a shimmery gold with some sparkle. Works as a great base for gold eye shadows and makes them last all day! I have it in the new packaging.

I've been on the quest for a sparkly, but glitter-free, champagne eyeshadow and this, so far, has been the answer. I discovered it through a sample of all the color potions and quickly purchased Greed to use on its own as an eyeshadow. Only a tiny amount can be used, otherwise it does appear more yellow and garish. I typically squeeze some--yay, for the new packaging!--on the back of my hand and dab from there to better control the amount I'm using. The staying power is comparable to the original formula, and perhaps better when using such a small amount. Overall, I like it, but I'll keep looking for alternatives.

Overall Rating: 3/5
Pros:
-The shimmer makes any shadow I put on it shimmery too, it looks cool!
Cons:
-Does NOT stop my eye shadow from creasing. I find that the ELF eye lid primer does a waaaaaaay better job at that, and its only a $1
Price: $18... Wayyy overpriced
Packaging: Sucks. Hate it. I heard they changed it, which is good, because this old packaging sucks
Would I buy agian? Nope
