I really love this powder. It applies lightly with good coverage, but still looks natural and not too matte or too shimmery. My one complaint is that it is too dark for me. It is the lightest department store makeup I've found and the closest to my skin tone, so I will probably buy it again. If they make a lighter shade, I will be all over it.
It has a great texture, good smell, and totally worth the price.

I love this powder! My color is Intensity 2.0. I usually just swipe this on with a big, fluffy brush vs. the time consuming swirling that's necessary with BE and other minerals. Sometimes I do use the enclosed puff, which delivers more coverage. What I love about the puff (besides it being cute) is that it doesn't hang onto the powder and waste product. It really does all go onto my skin.
This goes on so smooth and natural looking that at first, I don't see much difference. When I look in a different mirror, you can't even tell I'm wearing foundation, yet my skin looks smooth, clear, and luminous. I haven't had any oiliness, irritation, or breakouts and the powder does last all day for me. (I have not gotten to wear it in the heat yet.) The jar is so pretty on my vanity. I can see how it would be easy to spill, so be very careful opening and handling. My only complaint is that there is no indication of sunscreen on the box or container of this formula. I believe the previous version did contain it, but I can't find any info that says if this one does. While I'm not crazy about the price, you get 11g and I don't wear it daily. I will definitely repurchase.

I bought this on a whim ("oh, gee, I just need a few more dollars for free shipping... maybe I'll try this...") and am SO glad I did! I got this in Intensity 1.0 and am very happy with the color for my skin.
I have never used the powder puff for application and probably never will. I use a kabuki and swirl it on to my face, and it's so fun to watch myself basically being airbrushed. The finish is so soft, fresh and pretty. I would say there is a slight shimmer/sheen to it... it's not sparkly, by any means, but it's not matte either. If you need additional coverage, it's easy to apply another light coat and erase redness or uneven skin tone. Best of all, this doesn't exacerbate any dry areas. I have some dryer patches that other foundations really pick up on, but this glides right over it and any dry areas are unnoticeable. That can be so incredibly difficult to find in a powder foundation!
I've found the staying power is fine if I'm not doing anything taxing, and haven't noticed any oily breakthroughs in my t-zone. I wouldn't wear this during any kind of sporting event, or if you plan on getting sweaty. I do competitive show jumping, wore this while doing that one day, and was less than impressed with the results. My other favorite powder, DiorSkin Forever Flawless Powder, holds up much better in that regard. However, this is great for an everyday kind of makeup and didn't require touchups on my combination-dry skin, even with a generous coat of moisturizer under it.

Aways been confident buying Estee Lauder products...but this powder in #3 does not apply well, it just looks uneven and feels awful/harsh on the skin.(later to reveal red bumps) Gives poka dot looking coverage and absoluety zero staying power. Compact gives great results, but loose is a NO!

If you're looking for a powder to set makeup with extra coverage or just a powder foundation with lasting power until you take it off, pick this up and try it. It's amazing.

I love the way this powder looks on my skin, Intensity 2 was a perfect match for me, great coverage with a fluffy brush and I would pat areas that needed extra coverage with a sponge. I have combination/dry skin and amazingly this lasted through the day (I put it on at around 6:30 am and by 9pm I still had good coverage). I rarely break out and I wore this for 4 days, and got 3 huge cystic pimples. Too bad because I honestly though I had finally found mu HG.

This is simultaneously the most overpriced and most brilliant powder I have ever bought. I had serious buyer's remorse after shelling out £26.50 for a loose powder, but I had been so incredibly impressed by EL's Double Wear concealer that I threw caution to the wind and bought this from them when my last pressed powder ran out.
The coverage is light, but you can dab with your finger or use a well-loaded highlighter brush over problem areas. But the main thing I use powder for is in small quantities to set my foundation in the morning. I don't like touching-up because I hate the idea of layering on even more product, so in the day I tend to just blot.
This powder feels light, looks natural, and isn't sparkly - which is fabulous because most mineral-based powders look like a childrens' glitter tub. The added SPF is a boon for me because I'm very fair and burn to a crisp if I so much as look out of the window in summertime.
I've been using this for about a month now and I've found that it usually keeps me from looking shiny all day long, and for a coloured powder goes brilliantly unnoticed (I preferred translucent powder in the past - particularly MAC's Prep & Prime). It hasn't broken me out, or made my skin ramp up the grease like one or two powders have in the past (I won't name names!).
The packaging is sheer genius: the sponge stays clean and separate and the mill doesn't leak into the screw at all. Admittedly, I don't really use the sponge (I prefer to swipe and dab it around my face with a kabuki brush), but the sponge has a lovely velvety texture and doesn't get too loaded when you dab it in the powder.
Loving this product. Five out of five, and will repurchase as long as they make it. Is it overpriced? Hell yes. But it's an absolutely brilliant product. Estee Lauder: Congratulations, you have my bank account by the 'nads.

Usually I'm not a fan of loose powders just because they can get really messy due to poor packaging, however estee lauder created the best container for loose powder. I think it covers imperfections well & has a perfect satin finish. The only thing I don't really like, is that it only comes in intensities. It doesn't have warm, neutral or cool undertones. I have very yellow/olive skin & medium depth, so I went with number 2 instensity. It's okay for the winter but this summer I'll need a much darker color. I would advise those with yellow/olive tones to use any other intensity but 2. Most of them are cool or neutral.

I had high hopes for this stuff. I tried Double Wear Light and really really liked it since it matched my skin and stayed put all day, as well as controlled my very oily skin like no other. The bad is that I noticed these red blotches popping up on my cheek bones. So I decided to try this stuff. This stuff sucks for me. It did not control oil AT ALL. The only place is stayed put was on the non oily spots of my cheeks, The color did match me well (Intensity 2.0). The really bad part is that it is breaking me out in actual pimples. I am returning this and buying some bare minerals until I can find something else. Oh, and I know some people say they see a shimmer or sparkle with this loose powder.... I didn't notice this at all. If you have normal or even dry skin this might be a good product for you. It isn't drying and blends really well. Just not good if you are oily.

Overall, it's a nice foundation. The coverage is buildable (can be lightly dusted on for light coverage, or built up to full coverage). It makes my skin look flawless and it does not break me out, clog my pores or feel heavy. Even on days when I apply a little extra for heavier coverage, it still feels light-weight and comfortable. Also, this foundation does not over-dry my skin or accentuate the mild dry patches I get on my cheeks during the winter months.
I also quite like the packaging of this when compared to other loose powder products. It has a screw off lid with a little compartment for the puff and mirror...As well as a sifter. It's one of the least messy loose powders that I've owned.
HOWEVER, it's terrible for oily skin types. It does not control oil at all. I have to layer a translucent setting powder over this makeup or else my face will look greasy within an hour and the product will literally rub off onto everything that touches my face. And the shade selection sucks. I use 'Intensity 4', which is slightly too dark for me, whearas 'Intensity 3' was too light. Estee Lauder should definitely add a few more shades.
Overall, it's nice, but I won't repurchase simply because I feel that setting a powder foundation with powder should not be necessary. For someone who doesn't need any oil-control, this would be a nice choice for powder foundation...But pass this on if you have any issues with oiliness.
Another reason that I won't repurchase is the hefty price tag. It's around $45 Canadian. Don't get me wrong, I don't mind paying that for an absolutely amazing foundation, but in my eyes, this product is just good, not amazing. I've had cheaper powder foundations (Prestige Skin Loving Minerals & Neutrogena Mineral Sheers) that have worked just as good, if not better.
Nice product, but not my favorite.

the nice sales associate gave this to me in a great sample size in "intensity 3.0". (i'm "tawney" in double-wear liquid foundation, nw25 for mac.)
i would not recommend this for oily skintypes, it will not control oil. i have an oily nose and a little oily spot on my forehead, and it couldn't hold down the oil for a little more than thirty minutes.
it's a good a natural-looking loose powder. it's amazing over the double-wear liquid foundation.
i am not sure about the full-size product, but the sample size does get a little messy. it doesn't have the snap-lock sifter (like bare minerals) so that's why it gets messy! but i just pour some into the cap, not too much because the product is really pigmented, buff my brush into the cap and brush it all over my face.
not sure about the coverage since i wear this over the DW, and the DW is definitley my HG since it has amazing high coverage, it's not cakey, and lasts all day! :)
i'm still kind of iffy about purchasing the actual product, but i just decided to put a "yes." the original product is $35.

Ugh, no thanks. It was glittery, cakey gross mess. I got shade 1 and it wasn't pale enough for me (NC10)...more like NC15. It is so sparkly, makes pores look huge, and it's super cakey. And I think it made me break out (but a lot of things do). The packaging is ok and you get a decent amount. Wouldn't repurchase.

EDIT 03/28/12---I will absolutely NOT repurchase any Estee Lauder products until they choose to quit misleading their customers about animal testing and fully commit to a no animal testing policy.
EDIT---uh-oh....I noticed my face getting darker. I tried my foundation and this powder seperately and this was the culprit. I caught my reflection in a mirror and it looked like terra cotta had been smudged on my face when I used the powder only. :-( Has to go back.
This is a beautiful powder. So far I have only used to set my liquid foundation but it is so lovely that I do plan to try it alone. It gives a nice glow without glitter or being shiny. It looks beautiful on. It doesn't accentuate my large pores. It lasts. It's expensive and I think EL could have done a little more with the packaging. Regardless I will repurchase.

I just knew if EL's Double Wear line came out with a mineral makeup that it would be awesome! This is the first mineral makeup to actually give me some coverage. I have this in intensity one and it is a great match for my fair cool toned skin. You get a lot of product. The flimsy spongey applicator is not the best but I just use it to apply the product and then buff it in with a kabuki brush. Does not last 12 hours on me, more like 6-8 hours. I love the natural finish I get from this. Does not cause my combination skin to break out. Leaves skin with a soft semi-matte appearance.

I adore this mineral foundation and I typically don’t like powder foundations! I’ve tried the regular Bare Minerals and Everyday Minerals matte and intensive foundations and have found those to not last long on my skin. I find Double Wear Mineral Rich Loose Powder to be perfect for summer since it feels light on the skin but still provides good coverage. Here is why I love this mineral foundation:
Lasting power: I find EL’s Double Wear mineral foundation to last very well on my very oily skin. I wouldn’t say that this foundation lasts 12 hours as advertised, but it does last a good 5-6 hours, which is more than I can say for other powder foundation like Bare Minerals, Everyday Minerals, and YSL Matt & Radiant Pressed Powder. After 5-6 hours the DW mineral foundation does not break up or look cakey, unlike Bare Minerals and Everyday Minerals.
Finish: As described on Estee Lauder’s website, this mineral foundation does provide a semi-matte finish. When swatched on the hand the foundation does appear to be shimmery, but once it’s applied on the face it look very natural (not too matte, not too shiny).
Coverage: I would say that this mineral foundation has light-medium coverage. It doesn’t completely cover my acne scars like the regular DW so I still need to use concealer if I want a flawless finish. But it does lighten my scars enough to still make my skin look good if I’m in a rush. I use a flat top brush for more coverage and a MAC 150 for a light dusting if I’m using the foundation as a setting powder for the regular Double Wear foundation.
Also this mineral foundation doesn’t break me out or dry my skin out. The only downside to me is the limited color range. There are only five shades, but luckily for me I found a match in Intensity 2.0. I have light-medium skin yellow undertones and wear EL Sand, MAC NC25/30, NARS Ceylon, Bobbi Brown Warm Sand. The shades I think are more warm than cool.
Double Wear Mineral Rich Loose Powder retails for $35 USD and you get 11g of product. I find this price to comparable to other high-end powder foundations. I like this foundation much better than the regular DW for everyday makeup, but I’ll still use the regular DW for special occasions. Overall, I definitely recommend this foundation to those with combo or oily skin.

My dad's girlfriend got this as a sample (it was pretty big for a sample), and I used it and I love it. I have dry skin except on my nose which gets oily sometimes but is also flaky. Which is the worst thing EVER. I used it and it brightened me up SO much.
There wasn't a lot coverage but I don't really want coverage to be honest. I never wear make up to school to begin with so everyone has seen my natural face. However, this just enhanced my skin and made it look nicer without looking unnatural. All my previous foundations clung into my nose and its flaky glory but this one just buffed right in.
Maybe it worked so well because I used a good moisturizer and a primer underneath but I normally do that for my regular foundation anyway because I just keep hoping that my flakiness doesn't show up. Not a chance but with this foundation, it's a definite YES. I would buy it but I really want to try out the Mac Mineralize Skinfinish Natural but if that doesn't work then I'll definitely buy this.
P.S. The price is based off of the regular sized and the packaging is based off of the sample which is a simple screw one top with holes (hate it, makes a mess)

I love this product. At first when I tested it out on my hand i disliked how sheen my hand looked but mistake number obviously never discard a product because it doesn't look good on your hand. I applied it with a nice powder foundation brush and it look so pretty and natural. I'm really oily so after 5 hours it was still on but looked a bit dewy but nothing compared to how i usually get aka extremely oily with small traces of foundation. It lasts for me up to 8 hours before i need to touch up. I love it but price wise its a bit pricey but i will last you 6 months if you used it wisely.

This product is perfect for my acne-prone skin, it does not cause new breakouts and evens out my skin tone, provides great finish for at least 8 hrs. I use it on the top of liquid foundation DW Light, shade: intensity 2.0 (both products).

My skin: combination, NC20/25, have some mild acne scars
I really really like this product. I like mineral powder foundations in general and this is my favourite so far. I have this product in intensity 2 and the color matches my skin tone much better than DW . This is a meduim coverage foundation( on the estee lauder website it says full, but it is not full coverage) and the finish is semi matte. It fees great on skin, very silky and lightweight and it has got a nice sheen to it. Unlike compact formulas , this doesnot magnify my pores and looks natural. It is supposed to be long lasting ( the website says 12hrs), it doesn't last for 12 hrs but compared to other powders this has pretty good lasting power( 5 to 6 hrs). The packaging is fine, just be careful not to put the container upside down. The product is a bit pricey but worthed, I would definitely buy his again.

I used to hate mineral foundations because they didn't provide enough coverage and they were too cakey feeling for my liking. However, this loose powder leaves a gorgeous glow to my skin and instensity 3.0 is the best color match of any powder or foundation i have used. very softly milled and feels great on the skin allowing it to breathe. i think its best for those with a clear complexion because it doesnt provide much coverage.
