Less than 4 bucks, good marketing, nice packaging... and the product is good. Not perfect, but good. The scrubbies are not as grainy and harsh as St Ives apricot scrub. But I have to use LOTS of products to spread all over my face (that's why I took off a lippie.) It doesn't remove my flakies like Olay microderm kit does. But I like to use this scrub at the end of the day to remove minor flakies... the rest gets removed by Olay kit or a good toner.

The Product: Totally Juicy Apricot Facial Scrub

Price: 2; $4.95 CAN @ Zellers

Packaging: 4; colourful stand-up tube with flip-top lid

Buy again?: Yes

I bought this because I finished using my Got2B Pore Me scrub, and while I did like it, I wanted to try something new. The Totally Juicy Apricot Scrub was great; it was like the St. Ives scrub, but much better. The scrubbing grains weren't as harsh as the St. Ives, and the smell was good. It was kind of fruity, but I did like the scent of Got2b more.

I use a small amount on wet skin, and massaged on my face for like a minute or two and then rinsed; my face felt much smoother and refreshed. I don't think it left any residue, but I am paranoid and use toner after cleansing, so I can't say for sure. I would probably use this every couple of days, as a "pick me up" when my skin needs a little bit of refreshment :) Overall, a pretty good product!

EDIT: I used it 3 times so far, and my skin is SOOOO incredibly soft! I love this! I have the Neutrogena microdermabrasion set, but I don't like the exfoliating cream that comes with it, so I use this TJ apricot scrub on the sponge tool instead and I end up with fabulous results!

Cleared my face up, left it soft not stripped and love the smell, not fake just juicy. Has no lanolin, unlike St. Ives, which is not too good for you face if you break out a lot. I would use this before St. Ives any day!

I bought this as an alternative to my St. Ives apricot scrub, and I like it a lot better. It smells fantastic in the tube, like fresh, fruity, apricots but on my skin it smells more like rancid clay. The granules in this are quite rough (smoother than St. Ives) so I only use this twice a week. Afterwards, my pores look way smaller and my skin feels soft and refreshed. I like this stuff (I'd give it about a 4.5) but it doesn't clear up acne or anything like that, it just softens and refines. A nice, simple pore scrub that's natural and nice-smelling.

Love love this product. The granules are tiny, the base not too drying, and the product gets just the right amount of scrubbing down. This is good as a daily/weekly exfoliator. I usually just use it right after washing my face with cream cleanser. Leaves my face soft and totally not irritating at all. Cheap too. Will repurchase.

I got a sample of this when I bought the TJ body scrub. Would not have used it otherwise, since I was afraid that it'd be just like the St. Ives apricot scrub (which I really dislike, since it's too rough). But this was really good. The exfoliating particles are a lot finer than St. Ives' so that it feels like you're scrubbing your face with wet sand. My face felt sooo smooth and clean and fresh after using this. I'm not sure whether I like the scent or hate it; sometimes it smells like apricot candy and sometimes it smells very medicinal. At least it doesn't linger. Will probably end up buying a full-size version.

Really liked this scrub! It wasn't as rough on my skin as the St. Ives. Smells great and does a great job. Very cheap as well. Washes clean so it doesn't leave a filmy feel like the Totally Juicy Berry scrub did. I will definitely repurchase this one.

I liked this scrub, not as much as St. Ives Apricot scrub but it was a good backup. The grains were much smaller and there was a stronger smell. Unfortunately it made me break out. I think it was the SLS in it, which is comegenic (sp?) I'm told. Otherwise it was a good scrub, cheap, available everywhere, and a convenient squeeze tube. Too bad...=(

love this stuff!! so much gentler than that st.ives crapola, yet gets the job done and is packed with good for your skin vitamins. i use it every morning in the shower...i just use a little , massage into my face lightly (since i use it every day i don't want to scrub harshly), and then i let it kind of sit on my face like a mask while i shave or whatnot. then when i rinse off, my face is sooooo smooth and soft..no skin bumpies! can't beat the price and one tube lasts me around 4-5 months of daily use....don't get much better than that!

Not as rough as the St. Ives version, which is nice, but still enough "grit" that it feels like it's doing something. The person a few reviews below described the texture as "sand mixed w/ face cream" and that's pretty spot-on. I'm really not loving the scent, though. Totally Juicy products are pretty strong on the smell department which is normally good (both the body scrubs are HG's of mine), but this one is dangerously close to bringing back hated memories of flavored fluoride treatments. It doesn't smell like apricots, it smells like a product that's *suppposed* to smell like apricots. I can't describe it very well. Basically it's a strong artificial smell. Still, b/c it's a product you rinse off rather than leave on, it does go away after awhile.

This is a decent facial scrub. I found it to be quite drying - even on my t-zone (I have combination skin and my t-zone tends to be more oily). The scent is nice, and so is the packaging. Attractive to look at, but I don't like the product inside.

Wow! I really liked this! Yes, it kinda does feel like sand mixed with face cream, but it makes your skin rosy after use! It is a very nice product to make your skin soft.

Gentle, yet gets the job done. Comes out thick. Wasn't toooo crazy over the fragrance. I wish it foamed a little, also.

really really good, did not irritate my skin..cleansed quite well and made my skin all glowy again,... the particles were just the right size!!! a must have!!!
EDIT: This is my HG scrub for now, but I always have to cleanse again after using this because it leaves a bit of residue.

WOW! I have been searching for something to exfoliate with that actually works and this is it! It's hard to believe that a product so inexpensive actually works but it does just what it says. My skin is oily and I tend to break out ocassionally and this has left my skin clear, radiant and glowing. I will be a repeat buyer of this product. If you haven't tried this then what are you waiting for?

I have bought tube after tube of Totally Juicy's apricot scrub. I normally alternate between a scrub and a cream cleanser in the shower but for the last several months I have been using this scrub as my daily shower cleanser. I don't find the texture to be overly rough at all and my sensitive skin really agrees with this product. I have dry skin that rarely develops blemishes and this scrub doesn't dry me out too much either. I love quite a few of the Totally Juicy/Totally Nutty products and this is no exception.

This stuff is a lot better than St. Ives' version...in both scent & texture. Not my absolute favorite, but it's pretty good.

At first, I thought this was just an average facial scrub. But, this is much more ... it comletely elimantes the after-affects of pimples and I detest any unsightly marks, etc on my face.(even though I dont usually, if not never get pimples). I guess thats why its an exfoliater, right? Will definetly repurchase because it also has a very good scent.

I've got extremely sensitive skin (face) but I went and bought this product anyway for its packaging & smell. Oooh, I love this and the St. Ives' apricot smell.

It's a little harsh though as a facial exfoliator. I use it as a body scrub now. :)
