I purchased this product in Teinte Beige (NW25-30ish for reference). I have inherently dry skin and this powder does not cake up or flake off on me-kudos to Guerlain! I love the texture. I use this as a touch up powder.

I really like the finish of this powder. While it is billed as both "mattifying" and "illuminating", I find applied lightly it is not inherently "bone dry" matte but is subtley illuminating. I occasionally get the late day t-zone shiney, and this product dispenses with it quickly.

As with all products Guerlain, it smells amazing. The compact is quite attractive.

My only question to Guerlain is for a luxe brand at this price point for just a little bit of product, what on earth is up with the flimsy spongey thing masquerading as a "poof" that you include? Just no no no. At this price point, you need a real "poof".

Cheap plastic packaging
Oxidized after just an hour .emphasized dry areas around my mouth
Too bad, since the initial finish was gorgeous. Left my skin luminous and glowingly translucent
Oh well

Well, I think I have figured this product out. It is not for people with oily skin. It sounds like it oxides and turns darker without really controlling the oil. Since it is billed as both illuminating and mattifying, this is baffling. It really does not mattify at all. I think if you have normal or somewhat dry skin, this powder would work out well for you. It is not a foundation and does nothing to cover anything. What is does do, at least for me, is give a soft focus look to the skin with a very subtle glow. No sparkle, no glitter, no frost. Just a nice soft glow from within look. I swirl it on lightly on top of my BB cream or my liquid foundation. It is a nice pick me up for my face when I don't have time to redo the whole makeup thing as the day wears on. With only three colors available, there is not a lot of choice to match to different skin colors. I have 02 which is the beige( slightly yellow toned) color. I am NC 20. If you skin is not on the oily side and you use this as a finishing powder or last step, the effect is really beautiful. It is nice around the eye area as well for a nice brightening and softening look. It is so finely milled that it does not settle into lines. Use with a light hand and a soft brush. Guerlain powders are really special and beautiful products. Just don't expect this to do the work of more intense products. It really is a last step kind of thing. The compact is pretty if lightweight. Since this is a product that I would carry with me when I am going to be out all day and need a quick makeup refresher, I do worry that it might not withstand the dreaded handbag jumble. It comes with a nice velvety pouch but still, it is a bit flimsy for a Guerlain product. I do appreciate that it is not going to add yet more weight to my purse. It is very pricey for only .23 ounces however and I would have expected something more substantial. Having said all of this, I do have to admit that if I lost this compact or broke it, I would rebuy it because I just love the diffused look it gives to my mature skin in both daylight and evening. A winner for me.

I love the texture and finish of this powder. Non-drying but helps control my oiliness while giving a subtle glow at the same time. Great for setting my foundation. This is the Guerlain product that I see myself repurchasing, though I believe that some of their products are not a must-have unless you want to spend your dollars. Packaging is lighter than the normal Guerlain packagings, but I like the flower design (matching the Meteorites container lid design) & the velvet pouch that protects the compact from scratching. The price is of course probably not worth it for some people, but if you wanna treat urself to a finely milled luxurious powder, i recommend this one.

I love this powder - it's expensive, but it's amazing. It makes my foundation (MUFE HD) last twice as long as it does without powder. I have normal to dry skin, and it doesn't emphasize the dryness - it gives me a perfect, gorgeous finish.

Keep in mind that it has a strong scent if you're sensitive to that!

Initially loved this compact but….

THE GOOD:
-Lovely light scent.
-Great size and weight for purse.
-Silky texture.
-Worked great with my dry skin (only used on t-zone).
-A bit of coverage without cake-like appearance.
-02 Teint Beige looked great on my summer (NC20) skin…at first*
---------------------------

THE BAD:
-Expensive.
-Plastic casing felt cheap.
-Closure clasp, which was plastic, broke. It was always stored in the velvet pouch and not abused.
-*Oxidized in a few hours.

Still looking for a powder compact that gives the same finish as this, without the oxidation and cheap casing. Any suggestions?

Loved at first. Beautiful compact.Smells great, felt luxurious putting on. My NC 25ish skin matched perfectly (or so I thought) to #2. Then, it Oxidized on my face within a couple of hours.not only that but they don't sell powder puff refills. Sounds strange, but it is a smaller than usual compact, so most standard size poufs don't fit. Not a fan. Wish I was though, cuz it is just such a pretty compact :)

I desided to get this for setting powder when my HG Nivea (yes indeed!) Stay Real pressed powder was dc`d:/. It kept my fndn in place all day in my problem area, nose, also gave coverage and didn`t cake.
This is totally different; more thin and finelly-milled. And it doesn`t last as long. I haven`t tried it on it`s on as fndn and I can`t imagine it would look good on mature skin like mine. And it is a pressed powder:).
For evenings out I use this over JK Light as Air fndn and it`s great.
In daylight it would be too much and unnatural. For everyday setting powder I prefer Clarins 3D all-over-radiance powder, which gives very subtle glow and can be used all-over face unlike Diorskin shimmers. They are amazing for highlighting. And this in Teint Beige on nose/ T-zone. I can still add Clarins on top. For so little use this is too expensive. I also dislike the rose smell.

girls with oily skin AND large pores save your money! when i first put it on it looked lovely, matte, didnt hide my pores but didnt accentuate them, looked glowing from within. But in 20 mins- oh horror! it fell into all my pores and made them look like MASSIVE holes which were visible from a mile away (mine are not actually that big and noticeable without makeup) AND it made me look like i have wrinkles!!! and im 19!!! it made me look like i have wrinkles around my mouth where i smile and around my nose. wth. i tried using it over foundation and by itself, the outcome is the same. but i found a use for it - over under eye concealer and it makes that area much lighter, brighter and glowy, also stops the concealer from creasing throughout the day.

Age: 19-24   Skin: Very Oily, Fair-Medium, Neutral   Hair: Brunette, Straight, Medium   Eyes: Black

I have very oily skin with a light medium (nw20-25) complexion. At the moment, I've been alternating between Lancome's Teint Miracle foundation and Diorskin Airflash. My biggest concerns for a powder are too control the oil on my face without killing the magnificent dewy glow of those foundations (probably impossible). After using all sorts of drugstore powders in addition to BE Mineral Veil and a handful of other waste of money "transclucent" white powers (MUFE HD, Laura Mercier - ghost face with all of those), I began looking into Guerlain. I've heard endless raves of the Meterorites Pearls, but it only took a couple reviews alleging the that the shimmer was apparent to steer me away. My face is way to oily to fall for that trick. Nevertheless, I've read that Guerlain is the king of powders and I figured the next best thing must be their Mattifying powder which still reportedly has the pearls. Sounded perfect - mattifying and still illuminating. So I bought it in Beige 02 (I wear Cameo 202 in Dior, which is a pink undertone shade).

First of all, Beige 02 is definitely a yellow-beige undertone. May sound appealing to neutralize the pinkness of my foundation, but as weird as this sounds I don't want to. My Dior Airflash looks good on it's own - I only wanted a touch up powder throughout the day to get rid of oil and restore luster (and by that I do NOT mean shine). The pros are that the powder is thin and I wouldn't say it gives me a chalky or grainy finish on first application like most, but it still killed the glow of my foundation and made me look bland. I've found that this isn't buildable or layerable, either. The more I touch up with it, the more grainy it looks.

I think this is best used as a setting powder, if you have yellow or beige undertones and one of the only 3 shades fits you. But there are other powders out there strictly for the purpose of setting that are much cheaper and do even better. So for the price, I say it's not worth it at all. The cute packaging and the allure of wearing a luxurious brand like Guerlain sounds appealing, but it's too good to be true. Nothing special about this powder.

love love this compact powder. I had in 02 Teint Beige and it looks very naturally on my NC25 skin. The powder was super fine milled and feel nothing on the face. It is expensive but the result is awesome. It does not dry out my skin after few hours and won't look dry when I reapply. It does not very oil control so I still have to touch up few times during the day but I do love this compact because it make my skin look so glowing and perfect. I think it would be even more lovely during the winter.

The compact itself is light weight, which I was expecting it to be metal and heavy as some expensive compact powder does. There is nothing bad about the packing and it is actually good to carry in the purse. (ByTerry compact powder is so heavy in opposite)

I adore it!!!! I have combination-oily skin and it takes away shine without a big amount of product. It leaves my skin like velvet.
The only thing is, I wish it could make my skin stay longer without shine, eventhough when I retouch... it isn't really shining as a disco ball, and that's good.

I got this in exchange for the Guerlain Lingerie de Peau liquid foundation which I thought was terrible as it noticeably broke me out every time I had to wear it for a period of two or more days.

This powder however...amazing! It is finely milled and applies beautifully with the meteorites powder brush (sold seperately). It is a perfect match for my fair NC20 skin tone and gives it a gorgeus illuminated and healthy look. I have yet to test out its staying powder or oil control as I only bought it today but so far so good.

Gorgeous packaging (as you'd expect from guerlain) and has a pleasant signature scent. I take away one lippie for the steep price, $80 AUD in an Australian dept. store.

If you have the money, try it.

I LOVE this product. I am light skinned asian, NC 20 I have it in Teint Dore since I wanted a bit more colour for the winter. It DOES darken over time... so after an hour of wearing it, I noticed I was much darker than the original application shade. So I've been using it to contour my cheeks and create depth to my face, and it creates the most natural looking sculpted face. I also really like the finish. The glitter is more finely milled in this product, so the result is a more natural looking oiliness, which i do not mind because it solves my 'powder face after foundation' issue. It is still dry where I live in Canada, so I'm greatful for the 'glow', but I'm curious to see if I'd end up using it in summer, for which i'll probably have to find an another contour product.

i took off a lippie b/c of the price! at 7g .23 oz, this thing is very pricy!

This product is not a
Powder-Foundation. It is a mattifying pressed powder meant to use in combination with a foundation.
I am fond of the Meteorites products of Guerlain I have them all, so I was anxious to find out if this new pressed powder would turn out to be my favourite.
I have an oily skin so mattifying products always have my attention!
II have a fair oily skin in a good condition. I don't have to cover scars etc. so I don't like full coverage.
Did product doesn't. But it doesn't accentuate my pores. My skin looks like velvet with this powder. It also gives my skin a healty glow. It does make my complexion look fantasic, This product is able to give that special healty glow-look without the shimmering of the "Meteorites Poudre de Perles".
So far I was very enthousiastic. But that changed after 30 minutes!
The powder was changing colour. I used the Beige no.2. After applying it was beautiful light beige, but after 30 minutes It was like I had a three week vacation on the Caribian. It turned out much too dark, but with that typical healty Guerlain glow.
Apart from changing colour, after 30 minutes my T-zone started to shine. That is extremely dissapointing for a mattifying product!
It is winter and my skin doesn't shine that quickly as it shines during the summer with warm temperatures.
This mattifying product makes my skin shine and became darker, so I won't buy it again.
Two MA's I just spoke about this product had the same experience. They weren't enthousiastic as well and they won't recommend it to women with an oily skin.

I can immagine that women with a dry skintype are more enthousiastic about this product. But as this product is mattifying, it is actually meant for women with an oily skin.

To my opinion it is therefore important to mention your skintype when you review a product..

Product description:
This is a pressed powder for the face by Guerlain. The powder comes in three shades: Teint Rose for fair complexions, Teint Beige for mid-tone and Teint Dore for golden complexions. There is a fancy engraving in the powder and the powder is in monochrome skin-tone colors. Nothing fancy like the other meteorites products from Guerlain but this pressed powder is made with luminescent colored pearls as well. The container, although it looks very fancy, is made of plastic and is very light. The pressed powder comes with a soft powder puff for application and a velvet sleeve to protect the powder case.

My experience with this product:
When I first tried this on, I actually cleaned my face with a wipe in the store and the MUA patted this pressed powder on my face with a sponge wedge. This powder gives medium coverage and covers all of my acne scars except existing pimples (the red ones). It evened out my complexion beautifully. The powder feels very light and is like I have nothing on. My skin looks good and I did not expect such great coverage from this pressed powder as I initially only thought it was a finishing powder. I have very dry skin now, as it is in the winter, and this powder is able to provide sufficient moisture. After wearing for 6 hours, none of my dry patches are emphasized, my t-zone area does not look oily and my skin still look great. Another thing is that I only applied this pressed powder and no blush on my face. I totally forgot about blush because I looked so good. My face does not look washed-out or extremely pale with just the pressed powder on. I think that due to the luminescent pearl properties, so even if you do not apply blush / bronzer / highlighter, your skin will still look good.

This compact contains 7g of powder and in comparison with other brands, that is not a lot for the price but if you consider that you do not need to reapply the powder as often,or even at all. And that it provides great moisture and oil absorbing properties at the same time, it is a great product and a good buy.

Powder foundation is my usual choice of foundation, except for winter time where I would choose liquid over powder. This is now my favorite powder foundation and I would use this in the winter as well.

Note: For those with a sensitive nose, please bear in mind that there is the signature Guerlain scent for this pressed powder.
