This is a great drugstore mascara, especially is you like big wands. It gives great volume, separation, and length without clumping or hardening. I have small eyes and hooded lids, and the wand is almost too big for me. It's difficult to apply without making a mess of myself, but once applied I just take a q-tip and clean up, afterwards I am always happy with the results. This mascara doesn't smudge on me, but if your eyes water or get wet it will run.

Purchasing mascaras with huge wands is my thing, for they always provide the volume and thickness my lashes lack pretty well. I admit I saw the cute packaging at CVS and couldn't help myself on buying it, for all the PF products were at 50% discount there, so it costed me like $6 (I bought two other products which I'll be reviewing soon too!).
What can I say, the application was great, the formula is liquidy and my lashes looked beautiful... Not hard and fake at all like they tend to look like with any other mascara! I'll add that to that the fact that my sensitive eyes were not irritated after applying it at all!
What ruined it for me was when I stepped outside and it was raining! I know this mascara is not waterproof but it literally MELTS when it has brief contact with water! I was running to my car under the rain for less than 10 seconds and when I looked at myself in the rearview mirror I was a panda. My face was not even damp at all, I barely had contact with water, and my eyes were a black mess. I own other non-waterproof mascaras that do not give in this easily to H2O!!! Bottom line, purchase and use this if you're SURE it won't rain in your hometown, if you KNOW you're not going to tear up from happiness or cry from sadness, if you won't sweat heavily, if you'll AVOID water and vapor as if you are allergic to it!!! You can literally remove this mascara from your eyes entirely with just a damp cotton pad! It is THAT non waterproof.
****So...The original price is too high for how careful you have to be with this.****

I would rate this mascara as better than "just okay" but not quite "great"

Brush: not my favorite! It's a big round rubber bristle brush that will get product all over my eyelid unless I'm extra careful applying it.

Formula: on the wetter side. Doesn't flake but boy does it smudge if my eyes are the least bit watery! I would NOT recommend using this on your bottom lashes

Application: one plentiful coat gives a nice natural defined look my lashes. If I want to apply a second coat I make sure to let the first coat completely dry first. A second cost gives me great volume, decent separation, and good length.

Price: overpriced in my opinion. I don't think it is worth $9.99. There are better mascaras at the drugstore for less money. If you are interested in trying this mascara I would definitely recommend waiting for CVS to have their spend $10 get $7 ECB sale on Physicians Formula

I can see why people wouldn't like this product, but I really like it. It gives my lashes length, volume, and separation but in a natural way b/c it doesn't make them hard and stiff. Also, something I like about this mascara is that I can apply two coats w/o it clumping or getting "spidery". I think this a great everyday/daytime mascara. The reason I don't think a lot of people would like is that since it's "natural" and organic, it's definitely not waterproof. I assume if you have problems w/ oily lids this might smear? Regardless, it did not smear or flake for me at all. I like the brush and when I'm applying it, the formula almost feels like it's thickening my lashes w/ every stroke. This was $10 at Ulta but I bought it during a 40% off sale, so I only paid $6. When another sale comes around, I'll definitely repurchase, but I would never pay regular price. The packaging is pretty bulky but that's insignificant.

I adore this mascara. This is not for someone with oily lids or watery eyes as this is not waterproof and comes off rather easily with warm water. Other than that, I think this gives great volumnizing and lengthening effect without being too dramatic. Easy to take off. Doesn't weigh my lashes down or clumps in annoying fashion. I've been using this for a month or so and the content is still very moist. My only complaint is the wand being too big(either that or I just don't go well with plastic wand), for some reason I can't do an application without staining my lids at least a little.

I love this mascara. I have Sjogrens which makes my eyes very very sensitive. This stuff doesn't bother my eyes at all. It is kind of clumpy and hard to use. It doesn't flake on me, but look out if you get stuck in the rain or need a good cry. It washes off easily and completely. It's not perfect, but I haven't found another mascara that my eyes can tolerate - love it!!!!

Absolute garbage! I'm done with trying PF mascaras. They're pricey and I always have black smudges under my eyes. I bought a 2 for 1 and gave the other to my friend and it did the same to her.

It's a nice mascara, but not really the best I've tried from the drugstore in terms of volumizing. This is as if Physician's Formula tried their best at replicating CoverGirl Lash Blast. While the organic mascara is volumizing, I do get more volume with Lash Blast. I do appreciate the organic aspect of the mascara though. It is certainly pricey for a drugstore mascara though.

I was looking for a natural mascara and this sucked me in with the cute packaging. The wand is nice and big but the formula sucks! It flaked and gave me spider eyes, and takes a lot of work to remove completely. Now I use Clinique High Impact, which is great but dried out a little after the first couple months. I'm looking for another one to last through strenuous activities.

Ive been buying this for years...and I rarely find that I buy the same make up on a consistent basis.

I already have really long eye lashes but I get this anyway because it really brings volume to them! This mascara makes your lashes very full and long. I use very little at a time so it does tend to last me awhile. Even if it's not empty, I also tend to buy a new one every 3-4 months because I wear contacts and its good to freshen things up once in awhile.

This one or the black tube with the same style is just as great!

I bought this because it's organic and because Glam Life Guru on You Tube raved about it...I mean, she just loves it!

I bought it at CVS. It was over $10.00 but I got $7.00 CVS bucks back when I purchased it. The packaging is really cute; I love the shiny green tube. The product itself tends to flake a little bit. I was at Subway ordering lunch and then out of the blue it felt like two huge boulders fell into each of my eyes. For a minute I could not see anything, my eyes teared up and started to water.

This is just o.k. mascara; it's not outstanding by any means. It plumps up my lashes but not to a great extent.

Pros: Cute packaging, it's organic, it does a fair amount of thickening
Cons: Pricey for drugstore, it flakes

Flaking is a no-go for me since I wear contacts. I will use this up but I will not repurchase.

love this product, it doesn't harden like other mascara and will run if you wet it, but it's Organic, and soft on the eyes, and is good for sensitive eyes.

While I love that this is an all-natural, organic mascara, I am really not a very big fan of it. As one of the more expensive drugstore mascaras that seems to be pretty well-liked I expected alot from it, but was kind of let down.I think the packaging is so adorable, but the formula which was incredibly wet at first dried out incredibly fast. I have only had the mascara for a little over a month, and it is already almost too dry to wear resulting in a ridiculus amount of flaking. Throughout the time that I have had it, I have found that it smudges very easily and the smallest amount of water due to rain or tears will result in horrible racoon eyes. Also, this mascara does not last throughout the whole day and leaves the tips of my lashes bare after a couple of hours. As far as how it makes my lashes look, it does not do anything particularly outstanding in my opinion; it does not add much volume or length, yet it also does not really clump and can be layered. I do enjoy how easy it is to remove. I only need to use water and it is compleatly gone which is convenient, but I don't think that it is worth it with the amount of smearing and flaking in this mascara. Overall, I do not recommend this mascara. It is too expensive for all of the problems it causes and despite being natural it is not worth it.

I really like this product. For me it separates and lengthens very well and I must say I do think my lashes have grown a little bit from using it. Maybe its because it doesn't have as many harsh chemicals. I think overall it's a good basic mascara to have in your make up bag but its not overly amazing in terms of adding length in volume but I'll keep repurchasing for everyday use.

I have now worn this twice. It doesn't really do much either for length or volume an had this been th only issue I'd have given it three stars. The reason I gave it one star is the flaking and smudging.

Both times I have used it, it flaked under my eyes in three hours, leaving an unattractive "early raccoon eyes" appearance. I'm careful not to touch my eyes and haven't changed the face products I use, and didn't experience this flaking/smudging with previous mascaras.

I really wanted to like this mascara, because it's cruelty-free and readily available, but the amount of flaking/smudging is not acceptable.

I got this mascara for only $2 at CVS! I made sure to open the mascara first so that it wouldn't have that funny smell. I came home and used it first thing and it felt like it had some sort of a thick consistency to it. It smudged by the end of the day and I wanted to throw out this product so bad. But I gave it another chance and it surprisingly worked. I had volume, non irritated eyes and really black lashes. The secret for this to work is to apply it slowly and allow so time for it to dry. I also love that its all organic and contains no parabens whatsoever. Score!

This is a great mascara! Natural ingredients and no parabens - which is important because I am inevitably getting this stuff into my eyes. I also love the way it makes my lashes look, very volumizing (I think the brush design helps). The container is awkward to hold, but you get used to it (although it would be a perfect product if they just fixed this). Also, it may not stay on as well as non-natural mascaras (I used to use loreal voluminous), but it's much easier to remove and gentler on the lashes (less breakage). It's not a cheap mascara, but I still this it's a great value for everything I am getting. I hope they never stop making this because it's the only paraben-free mascara that I love!

This mascara has a thinner consistency with a huge wand (as others have noted). This doesn't bother me. Also, it does take multiple coats to build up a full face effect. After wearing the product 3-6 times a week, it was used up after a month, which is a pretty short lifespan for a mascara in my experience. I did not have a problem with it flattening my eyelashes, but my eyelashes are not particularly flat and I use an eyelash curler. I have worn this up to thirteen hours without any problems.

PROS:
-the ultra black shade lives up to the name
-didn't clump after multiple coats
-adds good amount of length for a volumizing mascara
-excellent volume
-never flaked
-didn't run in heat (up to 95 degrees)
-removes very easily

CONS:
-will run/smudge if face is touched or gets wet

I must applaud Physician's Formula for their effort and for the fact that they're pretty much the only truly "green" mascara that is available in mass retailers.

The PROS: Fantastic separation (way better than all of CG and L'Oreal's mascaras IMO), a deep black color; and decent lengthening (considering it's all natural). Even the funky metallic green packaging was starting to grow on me.

The CONS: Very little volume, but more importantly this mascara will smudge at the drop of a hat. Even the slightest bit of rubbing or touching or raindrops will smudge the hell out of this. It's quite a shame because it ends up trumping all of the good things about this mascara.

A side note: I've also tried 100% Pure's mascara which has a similar look to this one but gives a bit more volume; it's better than Organic Wear but it does still smudge a little. I've also tried HoneyBee Gardens which I'm currently using daily because I think it's the best of the three.

I like this mascara. It doesn't clump, it doesn't dry out my lashes or make them fall off. Of course it doesn't work like the 'ultra lash plumping/waterproof/1000000x thicker lashes', but the difference is noticeable.
