My all time favourite moisturiser!!! I LOVE IT! Have brought countless bottles and will continue to do so keeps my dry skin very hydrated! Only down side is that it doesn't last as long as I would like it to and some times i buy 2 bottles as for some reason (maybe because its so popular) its not always in stock in boots or superdrugs, just so I don't run out! :D

Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!
Why have I never found this before? Within three days of using it, the dry patch on my cheek is finally clearing up and is almost gone. I have dry, dehydrated and sensitive skin and it's still recovering from the winter. Trying new moisturisers is aways a bit of a risk for me, but as this is so cheap it was no problem. It feels good under make up (LM TM) and my skin feels hydrated and so much better. Please and thank you.

Light enough to wear under makeup, but still heavy enough to sort out dry skin, reasonable price, does the job

I finally bought this after reading a fair amount of reviews. My skin is dry and flaky at the moment and when I apply foundation I look like a cake. It's been really upsetting me and I have spent a small fortune on many moisturisers in hope of finding something that will balance my skin. I have been using this for about a week now and the difference is un believable. Not only has it started to hydrate my skin again it leaves me with a glow/dewy appearance and it has also helped with my eye lid eczema AND horrible acne spotty face be put to rest. It is super affordable and the the effects are very desirable. I sometimes use it before I got to bed and I use it before I start my make up, it doesn't feel heavy on my face like some others have commented but I put that down to different skin types.

Love this cream so SO much! It has literally become a saviour for my horrible dry, sensitive skin. I used to get small patches of eczema on my eyelids but since using this at night when finishing up my skin for the day it has completely gone. Its a really thick cream, free from fragrances and containing only natural ingredients so it is perfect if you are a sensitive/dry skin sufferer. My skin feels softer, looks healthier and I have literally not had a single blemish since using this at night. I know you can apply it under your make up, it does say on the tube that you can, but I feel its slightly too heavy for me for day use. My rule of thumb is to use something light yet hydrating during the day, then something thick, protecting and anti aging during the night. I usually put and anti age serum on then put the oilatum on top. Overall, this stuff is brilliant for people with problematic skin, definitely recommended and I do purchase this regularly.

Have to agree with a lot of posts. This moisturiser is fantastic if you have sensitive skin. I use it both day and night (although you cant put too much on under makeup as it is quite thick) At night I put on facial oil (clarins or balance me) first and then the Oilatum on top.
The only (very minor) drawback is that it can be tricky to get all of the product out of the tube - but I simply cut the tube and get the dregs out of it.

I really wanted to contribute a review of this product as it is so fantastic. I have tried many products (check out my age!) and have found my skin increasingly dry and sensitive with small outbreaks of eczema on my eyelids in the winter months. I had been using separate eyecream and moisturisers for day and night to try and get the balance right but all that is history since picking up this cream on my weekly Sainsbury's shop. I cannot believe a product with so little fanfare or marketing hype is so effective and will be stockpiling it in case it is ever withdrawn - it is the perfect consistency to absorb straightaway leaving my skin feeling plump and soft. The eczema disappeared after two applications along with dry, flaky patches and my face feels comfortable all day. Really recommend this product.

I got this to try on my skin post lactic acid peel. My skin reacted very badly to this, breaking out like crazy. I think it might be the second ingredient Olea Europeae (from Olives I think) that caused it as I'm starting discover my triggers. Not the products fault that I don't agree with some of the ingredients, but at the sametime it makes it tricky for me to give a glowing review. Anyone clog.acne prone might want to be a little careful before trying this.

For my dry-combination skin, this is not suitable for daily use or for use under makeup. I'd say the texture is that of a night cream - a bit thicker, but not so thick that it sits on top of your skin.
It does take a little while to sink in though, so that's why I use it either as a night cream, if I feel my skin is drier than normal and irritated, and especially in the winter, OR if I've used a mask for drawing out impurities and such and feel that I need something to calm my skin down a bit after.
I can only detect a very slight fresh/herbaly scent in this.
Very soothing and moisturising and handy to have around!

I have to remind myself how my skin used to be to really appreciate this product. I used to have a very flakey forehead and other dry patches on my face and all the moisturisers that I tried either weren't moisturising enough or were too greasy and broke me out. This is absolute perfection. There isn't a dry patch to be seen on my face any more, and no spots either. My skin is the perfect amount hydrated, all the while the moisturiser is unscented, ungreasy and feels very gentle. I also have eczema which sometimes flares up on my eyelid and cheek and this does not aggravate it at all, it infact soothes it. I use it daily before make up and after using clean & clear deep cleansing lotion - which is quite drying but amazing to zap spots. It has never broke me out, and I've been using it since before the Summer. HG HG HG. I hope they never stop selling this because there is nothing else like it! I get it from boots at about £7 a tube which is a bit pricey but the tube does last a while as you don't need much (a pea sized amount) and it is so worth it for the results you get. I really can't rave about it enough.

I've been using this for some time now and am still amazed by this product. I have rosacea and react to most products. This cream is quite thick and works excellently as a night cream. I use it for day time too to keep the flakiness under control. So long as I give myself a good 10-15 mins before applying make-up it's all good. My skin feels super soft, and I have no nasty flaky skin. I keep it in my bag and dab on to my cheeks and eye lids (where my skin is driest) over my make up before heading out into the cold and it works great as a barrier. I find this too heavy for hot weather...but when my skin is at it's worst in the summer I still use this to give my skin relief at night time.
Considering how much I have paid for products in the past in an attempt to control my skin, this one is incredible value.

This cream uses the nourishing properties of olive oil to provide moisture, and the ingredients are pretty good, even compared to high end creams. It is a medium-weight moisturiser that absorbs well and makes a great base for makeup. It’s a no-brainer cream – the kind of product you can count on.

I enjoy this product. I have oily skin (yes oily!) and i use this. I totally disagree with the other girls here that say its only for dry skin. I use it and get fantastic results. Nice and moisturizing without leaving my skin looking nasty. My one complaint is that the tube is really small and I find that I seem to run out of product every month. Also, the tube makes it hard to get the last bits out. Even with that, ive repurchased this 3 times already so i'd def repurchase and recommend it.

I have listed the price for this as 1 due to the fact I have eczema and just happen to get in on my prescription which is really helpful. I think many people have seen the Pixiwoo sisters rave about this on their youtube channel sometimes and seem to think it's a miracle product. But it is made for extremely dry skin, hence the name "OILatum" For my skin type which is extremely dry I think it is a fantastic moisturizer and when I get it for nothing I can hardly complain can I? :)

I was using this as my night time moisturizer and was extremely underwhelmed. I fell for the hype and found that it sits on my skin and doesn't moisturize at all. I really wanted to love this.

I have sensitive dry-combo skin and every time I use a moisturiser my face would flare up and stay like that for awhile! However with this cream, within seconds, the redness disappeared I was amazed. It also hydrated my dry skin all day and repaired any flakiness I used to get. The only downfall with this one is that I can't get it in Aus so I have to get it shipped in -.-

This broke me out in spots and i quickly got rid of it. I have FINALLY settled on a natural face cream by Mama Nature that agrees with my skin and does not cause breakouts. I even think it has made my skin much less oily but that may be down to my skin maturing as I get older. I have girlfriends who like this product but for me my skin care products are about treating myself and even if this did not break me out I don't see it as anything special.

Not suitable for my oily, acne-prone skin AT ALL. After just two uses I broke out in tons of little pimples. I passed it onto my mum who has eczema and she loved it.

After many years of suffering with horrible cystic acne, I finally got my breakouts down to 1 every month, which for me is amazing considering I had 7-8 new spots per day before. I was on dianette for just over 6 months, it completely dried out all of my skin, all over my body. Two months before coming off of dianette, I started using Dr Nick Lowe's Sebum Control Cleanser which in my opinion has completely changed my skin, and controlled what was once acne prone skin (I am now not on any acne medication or using any creams such as Duac or Differin).
Due to the dryness of my skin from being on Dianette, I needed a good moisturiser to deal with stubborn eczema/dry patches all over my face. I used Eucerin Replenishing face cream until my skin all of a sudden got used to it, therefore it stopped working. I then decided to try out Oilatum face cream as I had heard a bit about it from Nic at Pixiwoo. Since using this (started using around 3 weeks ago), my face is soft, well moisturised not dehydrated and clear. It doesn't break me out. In terms of packaging, it is great, nothing to complain about as it comes in a very hygienic squeezy tube. In terms of price, I bought it from Sainsburys (a supermarket in the UK) and it cost £7.65 which I would say is expensive, however Eucerin products are far more expensive and I feel this product lasts longer as you only need a small bit for the whole face. Lloyds pharmacy (again, UK) have it for £6.10, but it is hard to find in their stores. Definitely purchasing this again. Amazing product!

Lemme give you a background on my skin. I suffer from frequent acne breakouts. These are *mainly* in the form of cysts on my cheeks. I have large pores and I am very blackhead prone. I have to exfoliate twice a day because my skin is so oily. In buying this moisturiser, I was hoping for something rich but something that would not break me out.
This Oilatum moisturiser is quite oily and greasy. It is thick and you really don't need much in order to cover your face with it. I only use this at night (so I don't care about the lack of SPF) because it leaves my skin looking like I slathered it with oil, especially when I first started using it because I didn't realise how little I really needed and I over-applied. Upon application and warming on the skin, the cream turns from white and thick to an oily consistency and literally feels like pure oil on the face. I don't find it very moisturising, just average. I'm happy that this is unscented because I'm not a fan of unnecessarily scented skincare. The tube is quite small and for the price, that's slightly disappointing.
The packaging is good - it's in a tube and not a pot which makes it more hygienic. The tube is also easy to squeeze which is also a huge plus, I hate those tubes that are hard to squeeze.
To clear this up - I am very oily skinned and this did not break me out. Not the best moisturiser I have ever used but it's okay. Although my skin is oily, I like to pump it full of moisturise and I definitely don't think that people with oily skin should stay away from thick/rich moisturisers as a lot of people reviewing this seem to think. YMMV, just because you have oily skin doesn't mean you can't use this moisturiser, I hate it when people say that. I'm going to stick with the Cetaphil moisturiser. Better value.
