i bought this cleanser with a good expectation since my skin is sensitive and oily at the same time. however, after i used the cleanser for few weeks, i started to have breakout on my chin. the least place for acne to break out and gave me sign that it was not meant for me.
Im not very sure what is the problem since my skin reacts well to FTE and SK II deep surge. I stopped for a while about few months, and used it again to give it a try. Still, i experienced the same problem. Maybe suits others, but definitely not me. :(

I have been a long time user of Facial Treatment Cleanser.... and It has clear out my acne prone oily skin so well....and I have been loving it so much... until they made a new version called "Facial Treatment Gentle Cleanser" which cause clogged pores and breakout. I suspect because of the addition of stupid rose oil.

I am on my second bottle of this cleanser. After using this cleanser in conjunction with the Facial Clear Lotion I have not had any acne breakouts. It keeps my face clear and bright and I just can't find any other cleanser to replace this as it is quite expensive.

Have repurchased this cleanser countless times since I first tried it almost 10 years ago. This is a really gentle foaming cleanser that doesn't leave my skin tight or dry. It also has a lovely scent. The price is really exorbitant for a cleanser, and I have tried to find cheaper alternatives over the years, but I always go back to this. Stock up when there is a sale or at the duty free shops when traveling!

One of the best cleansers I have ever used! It smells wonderfully like roses without being too fragrant, and makes your skin feel so clean and incredibly smooth. One bottle lasts me nearly a year since you don't need very much cleanser at all (I gently rub it in my hands to get it a bit foamy, and then wash) which is good since it's also the most expensive cleaner I have ever used. It's so worth the price though! I have oily skin that has a bit of rosacea, and lots of clogged pores. While this doesn't fix all of my skin's problems overnight, it's a very gentle cleanser and I really notice a great improvement in my skin condition (I didn't use this for about 2 years and just re-started again, and have noticed a big difference). The packaging is a bit awkward if your hands are wet, and I would prefer a pump bottle or flip cap.

Overall it's a wonderful cleanser and I would recommend everyone to try it at least once.

One of the better cleansers I've used. It does removes dirt well, however not too drying. Skin does feel smoother.

I love this cleanser and I have finicky skin that does react to most cleansing products. This has an odd scent that you either love or hate, I dont mind it, its like roses but has an odd hint of something to it. As a cleanser its amazing. Leaves skin so soft and clean, I think with SKII you need use the whole range to get benefits - I have seen amazing results. I use the cleanser, clear lotion, the facial treatment essence and the cellumination deep surge. I also have the masks and other serums from SKII but for good results the main 3 would give you huge results.

My friend introduced me to this cleanser when my skin was not in good condition; very dull and rough to touch. I immediately fell in love with it. The scent is heavenly, smells like roses but not overpowering. It brightens overall complexion and skin feels silky smooth.

It doesn't control oil production but it does to seem to keep my acne in control. Quite pricey but I'm willingly to pay for a good cleanser. Already on my second bottle! Think I'm gonna be using this for a very long time! (-^^-)

This is a decent cleanser. It removes dirt pretty well and makes my cheeks feel tight after because they've been cleansed so thoroughly. It does nothing else aside from that and can easily be substituted with a $10-$20 drugstore cleanser.

You either love SKII or you hate it. I love it. I go to their spa for facials and use a whole range of their products. Only thing I do not love, is the price. Which is why I've stopped buying this cleanser.

This cleanser works well. It doesn't break out my sensitive skin. And the smell is therapeutic (although some may say it smells odd). But be careful if you leave it cap down in the shower because water gets it real easily and it will turn foul.

I'm still using the miracle water etc. but I find it's no harm using a cheaper alternative.

I've phased out using the SKII line but I still love this cleanser. This is so far the only wash-off foaming cleanser that doesn't strip my skin dry. Its fine silky foam is a pleasure on my skin, and leaves my skin feeling refreshed. The scent bothered me in the beginning, but now I love the slight scent. Pricey for a cleanser, but works!

A marvellous cleanser that leaves your skin feeling silky smooth and not feeling dry. And it makes my face looks whiter! However do bear in mind that not all SK II products are sutitable for everyone esp ppl with pimples/super dry skin as it alw turns out to be worse. It is best used when your skin is at a peak condition :)

Love this cleanser! I've been using it for about 2 years now and even though it is a tad expensive, it is totally worth it. Also, it last long because it only needs a small drop and foams well. I have actually tried another cleanser but I went back to this soon after because this really cleans my skin and doesn't feel drying at all. My skin feels really smooth, silky and very refreshed :) The only downside I find about this is the packaging - would be great if it comes in a pump dispenser.

My news years resolution this year was to improve my skin – I purchased a range of SKII products and have committed to using them daily for a few months. See my thoughts so far below.

First some background, my skin type is normal to combination, generally it's pretty good. My concerns are – constant redness on my cheeks, many visible pores (black heads) on my nose which I have never been able to shift, every few weeks I get some white heads coming through on my forehead and chin area and general skin tone unevenness. In the past I have used all sorts of products most recently Clarins and Algologie but I have been thinking about SKII for some time now and decided it was time to give it a go!

I purchased the following products which I have now been using daily since Jan 1 – Facial Treatment Essence, Skin Signature (day) moisturiser, Facial Treatment Clear Lotion, Facial Treatment Gentle Cleaner (tube) and the Facial Cleansing Gel (pot).

I bought the two cleaners as the sales assistant suggested I should use the Gel at night to remove make up and the Gentle cleaner in the morning as it's more gentle (and it smells really nice and rosey). However, I have not been using the tube cleaner recently as I don’t like the way it feels on my skin – my skin feels to 'squeaky clean' and a bit dry after using it (which is strange as its supposed to be the more gentle of the two). On the other hand I LOVE the Gel cleanser, which does not leave my skin with this feeling, it feels beautiful and silky on my skin so I've been using this day and night.

All other products have been great so far – While I still have the same pores on my nose, my skin looked really great during week 2.

Now its week 3 and we've had a few really hot days in a row and I had some pimples come through on my forehead and chin.

Overall, I'm very happy with the range so far but am looking forward to continuing to monitor my skins progress over the next few weeks with the products. It is very expensive and I want to see some serious results if I'm going to purchase again.

I love searching this site for others thoughts and reviews – if anyone is interested, I'll continue to post my progress with the range over the next few months!

If you can afford SKII, I'd indulge in this facewash. I have acne prone skin when stressed and changing climates, ruddiness to my skin and prone to clogged pores like whoa. I used to think that really washing it with strong cleansers was the way to keep it clear but realized that it was just stripping my skin. I'm trying to be much more gentle on it now. Before using this stuff, I'd tried most of the drugstore brands (I actually loved Cetaphil for normal/oily skin as my makeup cleanser but couldn't find it in Asia/Singapore), clinique, stuck with Origins for several months (a bit too much fragrance for me but ok) and finally when I ran out of Origins, splurged and bought this stuff at duty free. It has a lovely smell of roses, is a whipped mousse texture and foams up wonderfully, very velvety foam, if that makes sense. If I'm wearing heavy makeup I'll do a first wash with something else and then wash again with this; it just seems to be a nice, bouncy sort of wash that balances out my skin without feeling stripped and tight. My skin feels soft and plump, ready for serums or moisturizers. I also have some other SKII products so I layer when I'm not lazy. It IS super pricy though, and after running out, I'm back to my Cetaphil cleanser which is great for me, but if I could get it in the States, I would! I guess I'd use Cetaphil to clean my makeup off then use SKII to massage and wash off the rest.

Been using this for a week. It is a small tube GWP. Unlike other reviewers, I do not find this cleanser lathers or suds at all. It does a good job of cleaning though, and only leaves my skin a little tight. I would not buy this product (esp. as the company animal tests ).... Too expensive for no real payoff.

My skin is prone to dryness around the eyes, cheeks and mouth and I have better luck with milky cleansers. Only with SKII have I found a foaming cleanser that does not affect the drier parts of my skin. This is one of the best if not THE best foaming cleanser for pretty much all skintypes - unless you're looking for something medicated to treat blemishes. A very small (pea sized or less) amount is needed - it's a very cushiony mousse that lathers and spreads well. Because it is non-drying, I feel comfortable taking a few extra minutes massaging the product into my skin prior to rinsing. And it definitely rinses super clean without the "squeaky" feel. Thumbs up!

This cleanser works pretty well. After using this, my skin feels really clean and has a slight glow to it. However, people with oily skin, beware. I have normal skin, and if i don't use my toner, serum, and moisturizer right after i use this cleanser, my skin feels really really dry and this could result in dry patchy skin. I just don't think it is worth 60 dollars...

Probably one of the best cleansers I've used- EVER. And I've used a LOT. It might be pricey, but like another reviewer said, it has substance to it, and a little really does go a long way. It's thick and creamy like a mousse (but more dense) and froths up nicely. It cleans very well- some cleansers I've used leave make-up behind, and this does not. It makes my face feel clean, smooth, soft, glowy, and does not strip. It has a light, very pleasant scent, nothing obnoxious or overpowering. Just subtle and nice. I'll most likely continue to buy this since I'm very happy with it! UPDATE- I am on my third tube of this wonderful cleanser- I am not typically that loyal with cleansers, but this one I am hooked on. It agrees with my dry skin and still keeps my skin clean, fresh, clear.
