campy, bright, hot pink lipstick that looked great at the beach when my skin was darker. i never use this during the day, but love it at night with a pink gloss. i get many compliments when wearing it. not for the faint of heart!

I bought into the hype of this lipstick and I will admit I wish I hadn't. I ended up paying ridiculous eBay prices for this and the novelty has worn off! This is not a lipstick I will wear very often but I do find it very fun and pretty with a tan for a night out. It doesn't look very good on me if I'm paler than usual, but with a bit of a tan it can be quite nice.

I'm not a mac fan at all, but some of their lipsticks are nice.
Gaga is my all time favorite lipstick, and Nicki is just a floozy version of Gaga. And I love it for that! I haven't worn Nicki out in public yet because it's slightly intimidating. And I'm never intimidated by any make-up! Considering half my head is shaved, my hair is blue, and my e/s is rainbow! This lipstick is crazy bright. Maybe if you're going clubbing,or you only wear a little bit of it, or if you have dark skin then this lipstick would be nice.
The consistency is nice and creamy, the smell makes me wanna gag though. I hate the smell of mac lipsticks. They smell like melted crayons with way too much vanilla perfume sprayed on them to try and cover up the smell. I can get over it though.
I would buy this product again but I don't think I'll have to, you only use a little, and it's too intimidating any other way!
Go ahead and buy this, it's the brightest pink lipstick on the market (;

So, a couple of things about this lipstick. If you own Saint Germain, Pink Noveau or Gaga or DO NOT need this. They really are all the same shade with SLIGHTLY different finishes/depths in tone. If you are a darker skin woman, keep in mind yes Nicki is too but she is COOL TONED, therefore this lipstick works for her. Even lighter, warmer toned women this lipstick wouldn't be as flattering on because it would clash with their skintone. Also, being darker skin, means your lips naturally have more pigment to them so to make this look like it does on Nicki you will need a darker pink lipliner to line and fill the lip in ( I rec. Mac's Magenta) and a gloss to go over top to give a nice, smooth finish. Even a clear just to smooth it out. This is a shade that really isn't worth the hype and PLEASE don't go paying Ebay prices for it when Saint Germain is currently avaliable to you on the MAC website!

I happen to love this lipstick. It is actually my fav. At first, it does look a bit bright and loud but after a while, it seems to tone down. If you apply a nice light pink gloss over it, it helps to mute it out to just the right shade of pink. This is my summer lipstick and I'm loving it! Like another reviewer said, it is alot of fun. Great to apply before nights out or events.

I don't understand. My friend gave it to me just because she knows I'm a MAC lipstick freak. I never considered buying it because I knew it wouldn't work for me. I decided to just play with it because I've seen brown girls on youtube make it work. This ish is a hot mess. I'm not a Nicki fan anyway but the things you have to do to make this work don't make sense. Nicki wears Pink Nouveau anyway so this Pink Friday was a bunch of hype and MAC got folks to buy it.

love this lippie! If I wear it striaght out of the tube, I do a thiiiiiiiin coat and blot lips together. I love the texture of this- it's a satin, but it's very close to matte. Looks great with magenta, cork, amethyst, and pink treat liners. NC44 for reference

I love this lipstick! It's not the most natural looking or flattering lipstick in the world, but it's really fun! If you don't like lipsticks that are a little out there, then I wouldn't get this. It's a gorgeous Barbie pink color. Most of the time, I only wear a light layer of this because its much more wearable that way. I'm not known to shy away from bold lipstick colors, but this lipstick is just not that flattering on my NC10-15 skin, so putting on a light layer just makes it gorgeous (even though sometimes, I do wear it opaque). When I do put in on opaque, I usually put a lip gloss over it, and I think it looks better that way (just my opinion, though). Overall, I love this even when it is opaque, even though it's not a natural color (but hey, what lipstick DOES look natural?). It's fun and a color I love wearing.
I heard that MAC's Pink Nouveau is close dupe to it, so I'd recommend checking that out if you can't get Pink Friday. I'm actually going to pink up Pink Nouveau this weekened hopefully so I won't have to use up all of my Pink Friday!

i tried so hard to buy this lippie when it came online but i was too late they kept selling out, but i was lucky enough to buy one brand new in its box in a blog sale for £7 which i thought was a bargain , i loved this lippie but then i realised how similar it is to saint germain but i still love it and wear it nearly all the time.
i wear this lippie for work peared with a bit of caramex cherry lipbalm and a dab a little on my upper and lower lip and spread it around so it isnt as bright but still makes packs a punch.
im not sure if i would buy this again if it wasnt LE it is a really nice colour but it is really dupeable i just really went with the hype and plus i really love nicki minaj.
if you didnt manage it get this lippie i would recommend buying saint germain by mac for £13.50 or if you are in the uk try out barry m shocking pink i think it retails for £4-£6

FINALLY!!! I actually got Nicki Minaj`s pink friday lipstick that she did w/ none other than MAC!! I absolutely love the color pay off, I wish they did a better job w/ the packaging though:( I wasn't to happy w/ how plain & simple it was?! I mean c'mon people its NICKI?! Although it's *not* an everyday lipstick, you could also tone it down w/ a nude lipgloss over it so that it could become one. I also think Saint Germain & Snob are the closest dupes to it, so even though its limited edition you always can find another one just like it!!

*Update 7/17/11 * MAC Customer Service told me that Pink Firday is really Saint Germain and that they didn't have time to make a new color for Nicki so they slapped "Pink Friday" on Saint Germain and thats why there is no fancy packaging like for the Lady Gaga, etc collections.*
I love this color!! I am pale nw15/nw20 and its bright and bold on me but sooo fun!! Its a tad drying but I layer with clear gloss and it lasts along time!

I made my hubby stay up online and order this for me because I loved the color swatches online. BUT when I finally got my lipstick, it wasn't all that flattering on me. The color in the tube is gorgeous but I couldn't get it to work for me no matter what I tried. I'm about the same shade as Nicki (maybe even a lil lighter) and it didn't look good at all. I guess it'll just be an item to add to my collection. I'm sooo sad. Kinda also a disappointment that it didn't come in a different packaging since it was limited edition. =(

I purchased this lipstick because i am a huge PINK fan, and i was not disappointed. On me pink Friday is a gorgeous shade of bright pink, not pepto-bismol like at all and i'm so glad that i took a chance and purchased it despite of the negative reviews. It is a satin formula and pretty long lasting, i usually prep my lips with chap stick , line my lips with nyx lip liner in dolly pink and swipe pink Friday on , and it looks so good! I'm a mac nc25 but i think even someone with a lighter skin tone will be able to wear this

Did I buy this because I love Nicki? Yes but I also love blueish-pink lip shades so I had to get it. It's a barbie pink with purple/blue tones and I like it way more then Gaga. Out of the two I would repurchase this one in a second. It's my fav pink lipstick.

gross. ugly colour, not at ALL worth any of the hype it caused. this lipstick was too harsh with my skintone. even a super light application looked dreadful. i sold mine within the week i received it.

Pink Friday is a Limited Edition shade. This lipstick came out as a collaboration between Nicki Minaj and MAC. It has the same name as Nicki's debut album, Pink Friday. This lipstick was released on November 26th 2010 and was only supposed to be available for that Friday and the four following Fridays. MAC must not have sold as many as they thought they would because I recently purchased this lipstick on MAC's website. This lipstick is described as a bright creamy pink and is a satin formula. I find this to be a very common looking pink. However the formula is spot on. I really like wearing this because it is so easy to wear. It has decent staying power as well. I like that this doesn't have any pearl in it and it isn't frosty at all. It looks really nice on my NC20 skintone.
Similar shades include Saint Germaine, Snob, and Viva Glam Gaga. All MAC shades.

First of all I did not buy this product because of the singer Nicki Minaj, as I hadn't even heard about her before. It was more their advertisement strategy selling it as the perfect barbie pink which convinced me of giving it a go(and this is so true, a friend of mine who didn't know about this said to me that my lipstick colour reminds her so much of barbie:)).
Before I bought it, I was quite unsure whether to get this lipstick or not because of all the criticism saying that it is not wearable and quite unflattering. I don't wear lipstick that often and if only nude lipsticks or a lipstick colour which is close to my natural colour as i like to go for big eyes. When i used it the first time I was quite surprised because on my lips it looked so much different to all the pictures I had seen when I was researching this LE. When i want it to be a bit more subtile, which i personally prefer, I only pat this on my lips and top it of with a clear or pinkish lipgloss. Sometimes If I dont want this glossy lock, but still a subtil pink lip i just mix it with a nude lipstick ( I either used Barry Marshmallow or Baby Pink or Mac Myth). And if I keep my eyes simple and want a real bright and pretty barbie pink, I simple apply this for full coverage. I love this lipstick because you have a lot of control about how much colour pay off you want on your lips and it is quite versatile, so you can use it for a lot of looks.
I would not recommend this to people with a warm skin tone. It definitely is true that this lipstick doesn't match a lot of people. When I was doing the make up of a friend of mine who is a bit darker than me and warm toned and used this lipstick, it look so horrible. Now in winter, with my cool toned and quite fair skin, this is perfect for me, but I think in summer it will have to stay in my make up vanity. What is great about this product is that it is blue-based (My favourite kind of pink lipsticks) and this definitely is a colour for all paler and cool toned women who love pink lipsticks.
However, it is not really hard to find a dupe for this, I got the mac snop and saint germain and even though it is not exactlly the same colour it is quite comparable. So anyone who missed this limited edition, just get one of those two.
To me the downside of this product is that you always have to use a lip balm or something moisturizing for your lips before applying Pink4Friday unless you want your lips to get dry and chapped.

I remember waking up so early to buy this lipstick and it was always sold out. I finally got it the 3rd friday and couldnt wait to try it out. Oh my brightness!!! It is a beautiful pink with blue undertones and applies smoothly. My fiance at first didnt like this. He said it was too barbie pink and bright. I now mix this one with a creamy light pink lipgloss and it looks gorgeous. It can be quite tricky to pull this one off but i think i would buy it again. Just need that lipgloss as well to tone it down a bit:)
