I am returning this product after purchasing it for a reasonable price all things considered. (50% of its original price of 15.00.) I chose the light ivory shade which I thought contained a hint of pink or peach tint rather than yellow. Upon application, however, I observed no trace of color whatsoever; rather, an ash-like tone seemed to define the shade of this rather nondescript, below-average foundation. As for texture and ease of application the product scored average or better on my ordinary skin (not oily and not too dry, either). Even so, any points given for its smooth finish would be lost for the fact that this makeup comes in a jar and not a pump bottle, making it an easy target for microbial contamination.

I think this is being discontinued or reformulated because I found it in the clearance box at Ulta for $4! I'd rate this foundation a 3.5 if I could since it truly is one of the better DS foundations IMO its true to color and has a matte finish with medium coverage. It feels light on skin and a little goes a long way! What I don't like is it clings to any dry patches of skin I have, oxidizes after a few hours of wear, and contains silicones that may irritate ones face. Overall, I won't repurchase because I'm still on the hunt for something better!

I love maybelline dream mousse and figured this would be nearly the same. The texture was the same, but that was it. It felt very slick and oily, and even after i set my mu i could see my face was looking oily. My skin is rarely oily, it was mainly the mu. I tried it twice and was so disappointed. Planning to try revlon whipped next.

I really liked this product. It felt amazing on my skin and made it look like it had been airbrushed. I used it with a primer underneath, which may have made a slight difference, but when I had first tried it out on my hand, it made the pores on my hand look smaller and made my skin look unbelievably smooth. I would recommend this product to anyone. One of my favorite foundations (and I've tried a lot)! I have combo skin and it helps keep my face matte, and I don't have to wear powder on top. It goes on smooth, especially if you first put on some type of moisturizer, and stays on well throughout the day. I really like it!

I give this product 3.5 stars. It is my favourite 'cheap' foundation, i would otherwise use estee lauder DW.
pros:
gives an awesome airbrushed look
covers large pores/blackheads well
leaves skin soft
easily applies to skin, you don't need a brush to get an 'unstreaky' look
never looked cakey or like it was obvious I had foundation on
cons:
does not cover acne scars and pimples as good as other foundations
lasting power is so so, melts off in the heat.
jar can be irritating.

This product is okay. I gave it a 4 as overall rating because it can be heavy on your face and it balls upwhen you begin to use it. After awhile of using it, it doesn't ball up. The coverage is good depending on the person. It makes your face feel very smooth though and has a matte finish which i like. But to find the color is difficult, its either too dark or too light. I gave the price a three because when it first came out it was $15 now its like $10. In my opinoin the package is appealing but ots difficult to keep up with. The only rason I put yes to buy again is because after awhile you come too like it.

I bought this yesterday on a whim at Winner's. It was 5$.
First of all, I do not like the packaging. It is not hygienic to just dip your finger in it, plus it is really heavy. I would not bring this on vacations.
Second, the application. As others have stated, it is weird to put on your face. At first it is really weird because the product clump in little balls. You have to keep rubbing it in to get rid of those little balls. After that I loved the finish and the fact that it leaves the skin smooth and powdery. It as great coverage but not really buildable because it does this little balls things each and everytime you try to add more products, so you keep rubbing it in and then you remove the foundation already underneath.
My skin felt really dry all day and the product rubbed off and settled in the lines that I have. Overall, I would not recommend this product.

So I bought this at CVS for 50% off. It was still $5.
When I put it on it does kinda clump up in little balls, but after rubbing it in more it all smooths out. Also the color matched fairly well to my skin. The packaging is okay, but very heavy.
The main problem was that I broke out on the area I tested on my arm. I have never broke out in an allergic reaction to any cosmetic product before in my life. At the time of this review the rash has been there for a little over 24 hours and is starting to be itchy and more inflamed.
Based on this I won't be buying this again.

i think this porduct is great! the whole reason i actually bought it was because it was on sale at walgreens and i thought at such a discounted price why not? Well i tried it and fell in love! I am someone who has combination skin but more on the oily side, so i have to becareful with any foundation i buy. This foundation goes on really light and it blends so well. i did have a scab on my face from me picking at my skin ( i know im so bad) and when i put this over it, it completely covered it and also made the scab look like normal skin! i was so impressed! It also gives a really nice matte finish which i like a lot! I also think they have a great color selection and if people are basing there opinions on the color of foundation that they chose well that is their problem because in order for this product to look awesome you need the right skin color for you.... i have fair skin and i chose sand beige and it blends really well. The color that you see is exactly what you get on your skin! overall i think this product is amazing and im going back today to buy another one so i have backup when this one runs out and also so i can get it at the great price!!
love kyla!

There were some pros and cons with this product overall. Some cons were the high prices, it made me really cakey, & it broke me out. Some pros were the smooth feeling, matches your skin tone nicely, applies smoothly, & had a powdery finish. I personally have some dry skin & it did not look nice on some spots on my face, like my nose, but eh. I don't think I'll be buying it again.

I was looking for a cheaper, drugstore foundation that gave the same flawless look as Clinique's Even Better foundation. This was $16 on sale for $7 at Walgreen's so I decided to give it a try.
Let me just say, LOVE LOVE LOVE!!! It's the best I've ever used. It goes on lighter than it looks. I'm pretty pale and Sandy Beige is a perfect match for me.
You don't have to use a lot to get good coverage. I have oily/combo skin and this doesn't make my oily patches oilier or my dry spots flaky. I set it with Rimmel's Stay Matte powder in translucent and it's flawless.
Definitely my HG for sure. I won't purchase anything else unless this gets discontinued.
EDIT: So I'm almost out of my first jar, and I still feel the same way about this product. It is a little pricey for the amount you get, but I have started to only use it on days when I want more coverage or when my husband and I are going out. I've also started dusting my MAC Studio Fix Powder + over top and this really gives good, even coverage. I highly highly recommend this foundation. It takes some practice to learn how to put it on, but once you get the hang of it, it's gorgeous. This also has not broke me out at all. It actually seems to help control the oil on my t-zone throughout the day. Which leads to this other positive point - it lasts ALL day! - when set with a light dusting. ***Note! - You MUST buff this on with a flat top brush like you would a mineral foundation, or use your fingers. I have found this foundation is medium coverage at most, and not very buildable so I suggest you look elsewhere if you're seeking full coverage.

Let's keep it simple, this product has pros and cons. Let's start on a positive note, this product is light with phenomenal coverage. Really, truly, a little bit of this product goes a long way as to covering blemishes. I was thoroughly impressed... until the day wore on. Unfortunately, this product fades as the day goes on and has a tendency to settle into lines. Now, I have oily skin and this may not be a problem for those with dry skin. Also, you could easily combat this issue by taking the product with you for reapplication throughout the day. If you're looking for a long lasting foundation, this may not be for you. However, if you can overlook the negatives, this product has incredible coverage and is easy to apply. Best of luck! :)

O found this for only three dollars at my drugstore and figured now or never since that price is normally a sign of discontinuation .
It looked a little cakey and dry when I first put this on but the setting spray fixed that so no problem. My only issue with it is that anything applied on top of this foundation ie blush bronzer highlight will rub off the foundation underneath.I have never had that happen before with any other foundation and it a shame when worn with nothing else it really does have decent last power.
I like this but I look like a ghost without blush, broner and since I can't wear this with those I will pass on a repurchase

I have a major love/hate relationship with this product. It's expensive, with a $15 price tag, but has that higher end look to it, so it's not that bad. But this product is major horrible when applying. It's a cakey mess to apply, it gets everywhere, and it takes time to evenly apply it. It has a gray look when applying, which isn't wonderful. But when you finally have it applied, it's amazing. Flawless. Covers all your blemishes WITHOUT a concealer. Set with a powder (don't use a powder brush, use a powder puff), then use a fan brush to whisk away excess powder, it's so flawless, and amazing. Doesn't transfer, doesn't smear or smudge, lasts forever with a primer. This foundation is basically one of those that takes a little awhile to get it perfect, but the end effect is wonderful. I recommend this to people that have the time in the morning to apply their makeup. Oh by the way, the best application tool for this is a sponge applicator.

Okay, I love this stuff. I'd seen it in stores before, but heard not-so-great reviews, and I wasn't going to spend $15 on a drugstore foundation that had such negative feedback.
I saw it in my Walgreens for $8 on Clearance, though, and decided to give it a try. Ohmygosh. I love it. Love it, love it, love it.
I have oily combination skin, and I'm prone to blemishes and redness. This foundation, though, covered it all. It gave me this super smooth, silky, natural finish. It felt so light on my skin, and I love the way it looks and feels.
Fair warning: it's not full coverage, and it's not meant to be. If I had a ton of active breakouts right now, I would be using something that provided a lot more coverage.
I heard this was being discontinued, so I ran out and bought two more on Clearance. If you want to try it, get it now. I would recommend it while it's dirt cheap. If you do try it, be sure to note that it looks darker than it actually is. It goes on lighter than it appears, and there's absolutely no oxidation.
If you notice it balling up, you're using too much. This product works best spread out a little at a time, using the fingertips. A second coat will give you medium coverage. I have to mention, too, the packaging. It looks so much higher-end than it really is. I don't think it was worth $15, for $8, it's well worth the try.

Bought this on clearance at Walgreens hoping to avoid repurchasing a new revlon colorstay whipped, since these looked like similar products I decided to pick this up to try instead. I have tried this product many different ways, with a brush, beauty blender, my fingers ; applied a little, applied a lot and no matter what it always makes my face look dry and terrible. To use it up I mix it with a lot of moisturizer to thin it out and make it go on nicer but I would not repurchase.

I like this product, but now as a foundation. I use a little bit of it as a primer under my other, fuller coverage foundation. For those of you that complain of balling up or having a chalky finish, that's because you're using too much product. This foundation is not meant to have good coverage. The coverage is very sheer and you cannot build it up, so don't try to. Those with oily skin may also find that this works better for them because it doesn't feel oily or heavy like a lot of foundations. If you bought this and find that it doesn't work for you, try using a little bit as a primer and see if that works for you, because it is around $15 and no one wants their money to go down the drain. I absolutely love the way it feels though. It's so soft and I find that the silicone in it makes a nice smooth surface for my other foundation and rest of my makeup so as a tinted primer I give it 5 lippies, but I took off one from my actual rating because it is advertised as a foundation.
Oh! And another thing to keep in mind if you're planning on trying this product it that the color that you see when you look on the outside of the jar is the true color. I know a lot of people open the products before they buy to see the true color and when you open this foundation, the actual product looks darker and slightly orangy in some of the shades, but this is not what it blends out to be. So if you open it before your buy, be sure to swatch it and blend it in COMPLETELY before deciding whether or not the color is right for you.If you don't want to go through the hassle of swatching something, then go by the color you see on the outside of the jar.

I wanted to like this, I really did. Its light and fluffy and whippy! it has a smooth texture but don't be fooled because that's the silicone base and its in a lot of foundations now. anything ending with "icone"will give you that slippery feel and a lot of people like that. but if you have any dryness in your skin it ends up in a skipping chalky mess. and the colors wear a bit muddy on the skin. I thought it would be good for my male clients because of the apparent color selection and seemed sheer. i didn't give it a 0 because for some reason the first time I used it (on men) it seemed pretty good (that ever happen to you??) but i picked it back up and yuck what was i thinking? has anyone experienced that after a few months on the shelf the consistency changes or was that just me?
