I came across the Demeter Hello Kitty display when I was walking through Sears. Being a HK fanatic, I had to stop and try them all. I believe there were only three, HK, My Melody, and Little Twin Stars. I smelled the HK right from the bottle, and it smelled so horrid I didn't even bother spraying it on (very rancid plastic fruit concoction). I skipped that one altogether and sprayed My Melody on one wrist and Little Twin Stars on the other. At first I thought MM was pretty yummy, like warm sugar cookies. Within five minutes it turned into a combination of plastic, spoiled milk, and Elmer's glue. Yes, I smelled just like a preschooler. I realize that these aren't exactly targeted towards the most sophisticated crowd, but give me a break. A tween even has better taste than this! Besides, there are a lot of adult HK fans out there, and I believe they could have done a lot better. and this isn't exactly dirt cheap, either. I believe it was over $20 for 1 ounce, much, much too expensive, IMO. It's really too bad this didn't smell even halfway decent because I probably would have bought it just because it was HK. I'm usually a sucker for anything with her on it, so this really had to be bad! lol By the way, Little Twin Stars was the most decent of the three. It smelled just like sugared grapefruit, but it honestly lasted about three minutes on my skin, so that didn't warrant a purchase either. I really expected a lot better from Demeter. Booo!!!
