I bought this after reading on the bottle what it claims to do and it actually does what it says it does! My hair was noticeably smoother and it detangles very well. Not crazy about the scent but it's not overpowering.

I LOVE this conditioner. Keeps my curly hair moisturized but not weighed down. Smell is light and subtle, and does not follow me around throughout the day. Also, does not make me break out at my hairline. I buy this online for about $16 per liter and it lasts for ages.

Another pro, this line does not test on animals and is cruelty-free.

I didn't have to buy this product as my local beauty supply store gave me a sample to try, which was very nice of them to do. This was not moisturizing enough for my fine and dyed hair. It felt like a very light conditioner, and I imagine it would be good for virgin hair, but my hair just needs more conditioning at this point. I do love the Mastey Traite Shampoo though and recently got converted over to it as it is sulfate free. I love that shampoo, but will have to try some more of of Mastey's deeper conditioners.

I agree with the post below; this really weighs your hair down if it is fine. I'm not sure how moisturizing it is, but it does make hair super super soft (and for fine hair, that makes it impossible to style).

NOT for fine textured or thin hair. I repeat - NOT for fine or thin hair!! This weighs my hair down terribly. when I use this, it looks like I have half the hair because my hair is so flat and stuck to my head, limp, and lifeless, and much too soft. It's almost as if it shrinks the hair strands to half their size (or a quarter their size). Yes it's hydrating, but I can't go out without a hat when I use this. I am using the Frehair LIGHT now (in the green bottle) for fine or thin hair, and it is working much better, though it's still a little heavy.

If you have dry, thick, coarse hair - this IS the conditioner for you - it will work beautifully I think!

This is a wonderful conditioner! The perfect balance between shine and moisture without being too heavy. This leaves my hair so shiny and bouncy. Along with Traite shampoo, this is probably one of my all time favorite hair products!

I always seem to return to Mastey hair products, and this is one of my favorite conditioners! I have to really be careful conditioning my hair, as it tends toward oiliness and is very fine in texture, but there's a lot of it, and I need something to keep the static down when it gets cold. This does the job nicely-it's light enough not to build up and weigh the hair down-in fact, I can use it every day if needed. I usually don't need to, though, because it is also very hydrating. Helps keep tangles and static to a minimum, and rinses clean. I use this with Mastey's Traite shampoo, maybe every other day, as I wash hair every day. If you shop around online, you can find a variety of prices and sizes for this-I get it in the 32 oz size, which lasts a long time. I will definetly keep coming back to this.

I use the Frehair Light detangler. I have straight, fine, longish, oily hair. I've found this conditioner to be great for my hair! It conditions well and has a LOT of slip, especially for a silicone-free product. It doesn't build up at all and makes it very easy to comb out my hair after a shower.

First let me start by saying
I love this product I have Curly, Fine hair
My Fiancé has thick wavy hair and it works great for both of us
It detangles my hair like nothing else
I shampoo with trait and then condition with another brand
What ever conditioner I use I have at the time as long as it is sulfate free/parbin free.
Then I use free hair for about a minute and rinse my hair. I either flat iron or
Air dries my hair naturally and it always looks smooth, shiny and healthy.
My Faince’hair is smooth and lies flat; his hair is not poufy either.
Also my BF has very sensitive skin to all products, ands this is the only
One that does not break him out.
GREAT I will buy again.

I've used this for over 15 years on my very fine and formerly very long hair. It's the only product that reliably gets the post-shampoo tangles out wihout adding heavy oils. Together with Mastey's Enove shampoo, it's been my hair's mainstay.

Unfortunately, my retailer went out of business last fall. It took me 3 months to track down a new retailer, as this line is carried by very few outlets. When I did, the price is now $1.00 per ounce!!! Yes, that's right, $32 for the quart bottle!! I used to pay about $13/quart. This stuff is good, but I can't afford that much for just one basic hair product. Recession, people! Now I'm on a desperate search for an affordable substitute.

First, let me begin by saying that if you are looking for a deep conditioner, Frehair is NOT for you. I used to use this in college (on the recommedation of my hairdresser), when I was obsessed with my appearance! It is absolutely wonderful for thin, fine har. The only reason I stopped purchasing it is because 1) it's rather difficult to find and 2) it is on the pricey side (now that I have a family & a mortgage, I can't always afford to splurge on hair care products). That doesn't change the fact that, after all these years, it remains a standout in terms of the perfect level detangling it offers ladies with thin, baby-fine hair. If you are looking for a gentle.everyday, no-residue conditioner, give Frehair a shot -- it's terrific! Note: You will probably want to keep a weekly, more intense conditioner in your rotation for times when your hair feels especially dry.

I love this conditioner as an everyday conditioner on my very fine, color-treated and slightly damaged hair. Even when my hair was super long, it took out the tangles easily and it was quite easy to work through my hair. It doesn't weigh my fine hair down, moisturizes well and it's very managable after use. However, this is NOT a very "rich" or ultra-conditioning product. If you have very dry hair or need an very moisturizing formula, I don't think this is for you. I need moisture but not "over the top" unless I am doing a deep-treatment. I have the extra large (pump) version which has lasted forever, but I will seek this out again when I finally run out. It works with all of my favorite shampoos. I think a similar performing product is Paul Mitchell's Detangler, of which I have to use less. But, I like them both.

Along with the Mastey traite shampoo, my hair was totally changed. From using different brands of shampoo which mostly contained SLS, silicones etc, my hair was constantly dry, unmanageable and frizzy. From using Mastey's shampoo and conditioner my hair has really benefited from it. This conditioner is great for any hair types, but like another reviews said, you defiantly have to deep condition at least once a week.

This is a very good conditioner for my long, fine, highlighted hair. It might not be moisturizing enough for drier hair types but it is perfect for me. It detangles well and rinses out easily. The scent is quite subtle and not unpleasant. Best of all it has no cones. I don't know why Mastey has come out with a Light version as I think this conditioner is very light anyway. Only problem is: this is impossible to find in the UK and I have to order it from a US website.

Ingredients: Aqua, Eau Infusion of PCA and Sodium Lactate and Lactic Acid and Panthenol B5 and Phospholipid EFA, Cetyl Alcohol, Stearyl Alcohol, Glyceryl Stearate, PEG-100 Stearate, Methyl Gluceth-20, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Stearalkonium Chloride, Hydrolized Vegetable Protein, Cysteine Amino Acid, Ascorbic Acid, Tocopheryl Acetate, Ginseng, Gingko, Methylchloroisothiazolinone & Methylisothiazolinone, fragrance.

I really love mastey. The frehair conditioner smells so nice (fruity or something?) It's a very light conditioner which doesnt weigh my hair down and also contains no silicones YAY! I started using redken all soft but will be switching back to this because its so good. I use it with the gentle cleansing shampoo in the light blue bottle and do a treatment once a week with the Code Red Super pac(In the red bottle) and moisturee. The best thing about this line is I know its doing no damage to my hair with harsh ingredients eg. sulfates. Five stars!

This is the best conditioner I have ever used, and I have just about used them all at some point. I have fine color-treated hair, and this conditioner has helped restore my hair back to a more healthy state. It doesn't weigh my hair down either, so I'm left with soft, voluminous, shiny hair. I bought this on a whim for $10 at Rite Aid, and I will definitely repurchase. Rite Aid didn't have the Traite shampoo, so I ordered online and am eagerly awaiting it's arrival.

I already repurchased this the 3rd time, which must say something about it..

It's 8oz / 236ml bottle, about $13AUD in Sydney, they've recently changed the packaging from a facing down squeeze white bottle to a upright, silvery light blue bottle with caps like the aveda ones.

It's a detangler for sure, not a very thick/creamy/oily consistency, it's a light lotion-cream blend, think of the Aveda sap moss detangler or Origins apricot detangler or Kiehls grooming rinse consistency and texture.
A very faint scent, a general sort of plant extract/flower scent, nothing unpleasant, quite nice.

I don't think it actually conditions, it makes my hair easier to be brushed out after rinsing, but that's it. I use this as a daily detangler because my hair is very, very prone to build up so I use other deep conditioners like kerastase oleo-relax masque once or twice a week.

I use this after my Mastey traite shampoo, great combo. Your hair might feel dry when you are towel drying it, but it feels so light and clean after you blow dry, totally great sensation that cannot be achieved by those other generic shampoo/conditioners.

Makes a good daily detangler, but really don't expect it to condition. I think this is great for very weak/fine hair, or those with scalp prone to build up, or very thick, oily hair that wants minimum build up.
(My hair is medium texture long asian hair, oily scalps and dry ends, never colored/chemically treated.)

This product is merely okay for my hair. It reminds me of an old-fashioned "creme rinse," a watered-down conditioner. It doesn't detangle my hair at all. How well it works might depend on your shower's water; mine is slightly alkaline and this doesn't do much.
