I am NC20 - NC25. This colour is highly pigmented, and as most people already say, it is not plum, but rather dark deep red, like wine coloured. Maybe i don't wear lipstick often, so wearing this heavy colour straight off the lipstick is too dark and harsh for me, even if i try to tone down the rest of the make up. it works better when i use a little of it with a lipbrush, and then up the gloss factor with a lip gloss. the original colour goes on matte. staying power wise is pretty good if you just use it from the lipstick. lipstick itself is tasteless (which is the way liptstick should be). Does not dry out my lips but texture wise, my usual elizabeth arden liptstick feels creamier on my lips. will not be repurchasing this again since this colour is really not my thing until i get used to it i guess!

PROS:
I absolutely love this lipstick, it has become my everyday lipstick more or less. It's super pigmented so for every day wear i usually just dab the lipstick gently on my lips and it gives a really nice deep plum colour to your lips. a little bit along the burgundy colour.
For nights out i'd just apply it straight onto my lips. Theres a slight shimmer on the bullet but its not too shiny.
CONS:
need to have really exfoliated lips because this will show the imperfections quite easily. i think the packaging could do a little better but thats not a major problem!

Revlon Colorburst in Plum (010) is a weird lipstick. I don't know why they named it "Plum". In my opinion, a plum lipstick tends to be more purple. The name doesn't describe the color properly. In the tube, it looks like a rich tone of brown. But when you apply it, the product looks different. This lipstick can be defined as a bordeaux/burgundy/wine color. At most, I'd say it has a subtle purplish undertone. Depending on the colour of your lips, it can look more brownish or more reddish. However, this feature makes "Plum" be a very versatile lipstick. Everytime I want to highlight the purple undertone, I apply purple lipliner all over my lips and then I apply "Plum" over it. The result is great. As plum as I had imagined when I bought it.
I do the same when I want to make it look more brownish or more reddish. I apply a brown or a deep pink (or even red) lipliner before the lipstick and in that way, I can change the effect as much as I want. I think you shouldn't apply lipgloss over it because the finish is creamy and shiny.
The product has very tiny shimmers in it. They work perfectly and you can get a silky finish. The texture is creamy (not chunky at all), soft and very moisturizing. It has an excellent pigmentation, very intense. The only disadvantage is the little shimmers in the product make visible every imperfection of your lips. You need to have your lips in perfect condition before applying it.
"Plum" is the boldest lipstick color that I have. I'm still getting used to it. It's a deep color but even so, I think you can wear it as a daily makeup (keeping the rest of your look very natural, of course).
The package is really nice. I'm not sure if I would repurchase it because as I said before, I'm starting to experiment with bolder colors and different make up looks for this winter.

Love this lipstick. Thought it might be at risk of being frosty or something when I swatched it on my hand, but none of that shows up on my lips, they just look moist. Straight up, this is a deep, rich plum colour. Good staying power.
Looks great applied full force straight from the tube. Looks delicious, applied with a light hand, over top of a gloss. Looks MLBB applied lightly & then blotted down with a tissue. I am a (very) cool toned ppp with dark hair ~ I like a slightly dramatic look & this works well as a day to day lip colour for me.

This reminds me of two other lipsticks I have worn and liked- Revlon's Matte lipstick in Wine Not and the Super Lustrous Creme formula in Black Cherry which were both essentially the same color with different textures. If you like either of those shades but found them a bit hard to work with, try this one.
I like to wear this when I'm going for a 1920/30s look or for anything a little vampy. It's that same plummy/wine color as the other two Revlon lippies but.this one feels easy to wear and not quite as dark. With a wine colored lip liner, you can achieve results as dark as the other two shades but without the drying effect a lot of people get with matte lipsticks.
There is a shimmer to this but I find it pleasant looking and the texture isn't overly gritty or chunky. Feels feather light on the lips. It may not stay in place as well as the matte Revlon shade but I find it more comfortable to wear and it definitely wears off more evenly than the Creme Black Cherry formula. Will repurchase.

I think this lipstick is...interesting. It is a very very deep plum colour with tones of red and brown and a slight sheen, and is quite the tricky shade to pull off. I like to think it looks vampy & sultry on me but it is probably a bit too red and a bit too dark for me. I like the packaging but the formula feels a bit too soft and creamy. It feels lovely on the lips but breaks easily in the tube, so be very careful.

To me, this is almost an exact dupe for Rimmel's "Bordeaux" lipstick, and therefore has the same downfalls/etc as that. The downfalls aren't really with the product itself. It's moreso just not suitable for me. I find it super difficult for me to be able to pull off a dark lip color because I can't get my lipline precise enough for it to look right. Also my lips are small, and the darker color emphasizes that. Which I don't like. The color, texture, etc of this product are lovely. It just doesn't work for me. The only difference I feel between this and the Rimmel one, is this one is less glossy, which I prefer because it's slightly easier to get more precise.. However, at the same time, the more matte finish of this product makes lines appear more obvious. So, if you wear this, be sure to exfoliate your lips and make sure they're moisturized.

Although this isn't exactly cheap for a drugstore brand, it performs as well as high end lipsticks. Rich, smooth texture, admirable staying power, but the best quality is the super-saturated pigmentation. There is just so much color, making a little go a long way. It wears evenly, avoiding the dreaded lip outline, and blotting when applying makes it last even longer. My only complaint is the rounded, paddle shape of the lipstick. Due to the defined shape of my lips, I prefer lipsticks with a sharp point to allow for accuracy. I can work with this one, it's just not as easy to apply in a hurry. I really love the color swatch on the lid, making selecting the shade I'm after much easier than trying to read a label.
This particular shade is my favorite of all the Colorburst lipsticks, and one I reach for on a daily basis. I have rather dramatic coloring with extremely fair skin and dark hair, so this deep berry color works perfectly with nearly every makeup palette I wear. I've already gone through three tubes, and given two away as gifts. This cool-toned plum is about three shades darker than my natural lip color, almost a wine but never too dark. If I'm after a deeper color, I wear Colorburst Grape, which I'm concerned might have been discontinued.

A Gorgy plummy wine color that is great for fall. It has a beautiful metallic finish. The Color Burst lipsticks are a standout formulation compared to other drugstore lipsticks. It is drier than lighter colors as most dark lipsticks tend to contain more pigment which is inherently dry. I didn't find this lipstick too dry for my lips though. It was not a problem for me. Since I am very fair (NC10) I dab this lipstick on my lips for a more wearable look. Because I am very fair it is a bit too dark for me.

Really like this lipstick. Beautiful very deep, pigmented cool-toned plummy semi-matte wine that looks very elegant and a bit sophisticated on me (very pale, cool-toned skin, dark blonde, green eyes) and it's one of those shades that does seem to make your teeth a bit whiter. Applies a little dry and slightly unevenly though...definitely need a light layer of lip balm underneath. Willing to overlook that for the reasonable price and lovely flattering color. The color is everything I had hoped Chanel RA in Lover would be...only wish the application and finish was more like Chanel. Also, for reference, this lipstick is highly similar to MAC Dark Side, only IMO better as it applies a little lighter and less intense and, surprisingly, more evenly.

I hate to give this product only two lippies. The colour is absolutely beautiful, a deep, sumptuous wine/plum. It feels wonderful and moisturising to apply, and the packaging is top notch. Sadly the formulation just does not suit me - it must be something in the actual shade, as other Revlon lipsticks do not give me any problem. I find it incredibly drying despite the moisturising feel upon application, and in fact after persevering with it for a couple of days it brought me out in a rash. That was the absolute deal breaker, but before that happened it just did not stay on my lips at all, not even for five minutes. I was having to constantly apply or it just vanished, and it didn't even have the decency to fade evenly - it seemed to go bitty and curdle. Tried applying with a brush - same problem. With my finger - same problem. As you can see, I tried really hard to love this lipstick! Alas, it would not love me back...

I love this lipstick. Amazing texture and beautiful colour. It lasted a long time on my lips and they never felt dry. The subtle shimmer made them look more full.
I think I'll get a backup.

I LOVE THIS LIPSTICK! I usually hate the sensation of lipstick and how drying it is even when it says it is moisturizing. This lipstick is creamy, smooth, and highly pigmented. This is my everyday lipstick. I hate nudes and pinks for lipsticks. They look awful on me! I prefer dark reds to deep purple shades. This lipstick looks so classy and the color is absolutely divine. I will repurchasing two backups. This is my HOLYGRAIL lipstick!

First off, LOVE the packaging. It is fabulous for any brand, let alone for Revlon, a brand whose packaging has left me cold in the past. Chic, sturdy, and the actual lipstick bullet is gorgeous.
But the packaging doesn't deserve the lackluster product in the tube.
Now, if I'd bothered to read the review already posted, I would have known this was more of a wine color than plum. And while I was looking for a deep, plummy lipcolor, I may have appreciated a good wine color, too. Except this is not a good wine color. It is extremely streaky when applied with big chunks of silver glitter that I was picking off my lips and the skin around my lips. And as I wore it around, it melted off my lips completely in less than an hour.

Before I bought this, I was frustrated that I couldn't find any reviews of this specific color. Since the September Allure magazine was pushing the "Burgundy Lipstick" for this fall, I decided to finally bite the bullet and buy this when it came to about $1 at my local drugstore.
First of all, I have 5 other CBs and like all Revlon lipsticks in general. Like the other CBs, this is lightweight in feel. I do think this color was misnamed tho. On my NC35 with dark bicolor lips, this was a metallic bordeaux color, not plum. I consider plum to have more purple in it than bordeaux while bordeaux has more red. It gave me lovely dark red lips with excellent pigment but it wasnt exactly what I was looking for. However, playing with gloss on top of it, I was definite wear it for this fall. Retails for $8.99
