I purchased this product at Marshall's for about $10.00 just to try it. I'm a fan of all things Kate Spade, so I thought at the very least, a pretty bottle to decorate my bathroom shelf.
I read the reviews on MUA in line at the store when waiting to purchase, so my expectations were low.
Well, I have been using this fragrance for 2 weeks + and I must say I am impressed. No; it isn't the most original scent... No; it's not extremely youthful or sexy. If you're looking for something crazy outlandish try the new Justin Bieber or something. Twirl is what it is: classically sweet with a touch of musk. Dries down to a warm floral scent. Safe to say this isn't going to offend anyone, so you can wear it to the office (I do).
If I can find it again at Marshall's I will buy it to have for the future, because they have discontinued this scent. I can't blame them, since I would not pay full retail ($75.00) for this either.

I am seemingly in the minority here but I actually like Twirl. I'm not head over heel with it or anything, but it's not totally vile or vomit inducing. Just sweet and sort of normal if that makes any sense.
Twirl is another one of my never-sniffed-before-purchasing perfumes from Marshalls. Since I discovered stores like Marshalls and Ross sell fairly high end perfumes at a fraction of the cost, I've been going hog wild. $20-30 a pop can add up after a while but thus far, I haven't bought anything that has dissuaded me from this blind buying practice. Even if I don't particularly like the perfume, the bottle is usually nice enough (oh how I rationalize!).
Anyhow, Twirl is decent enough. It's more a of a light, summery kind of fragrance that is fruity and slightly musky on the dry down (according to the website, it contains notes of pink watermelon, blackberry and red currant with notes musk and french macaron...oh, la, la). This scent is probably best suited to spring or summer time because it is more sweet and fruity than musky. While I typically hate fruity scents in general, Twirl is actually appealing. I didn't get a cheap vibe from this at all. At worst, I think Twirl is guilty of being rather generic. There's nothing that stands out or makes it memorable although it is pleasant enough.
The bottle itself is made of heavy glass and painted with what looks like gold confetti. The top is a bit cheesy looking but otherwise, the design is cute enough. This is probably a fragrance that is geared more towards 20-something women, but I think everyone could probably get away with wearing it. In fact, my mom liked the way it smelled on me and purchased the 3.4 oz bottle for herself. As for staying power, this lasts a good six to eight hours on me depending on conditions. As others have said, only a few spritzes are needed, otherwise this becomes over powering and headache inducing.
Overall, this is a sweet and pleasing enough scent. It's one of those scents you really have to be in the mood to wear (if that makes sense). I can't imagine this being an "everyday" kind of scent because it's simply not complex or interesting enough for that. Because of that, I doubt I'll use this up in my lifetime which means I likely would not buy it again. That said, I did get the 1.7 ounce bottle for only $20 which is probably why I'm pleased with it. If I had paid the real amount (which is, evidently, $65 for a 1.7 ounce bottle), I probably would feel ripped off because there is nothing particularly special about this scent.
If you can find this on the cheap, I would recommend getting it. Otherwise, save your $65 for a few lipstick or a perfume that has more to offer than sweet and fruity.

I got a sample of this and I didn't think I would like it. I usually stick with a few fragrances and do not really like others. This surprised me. The scent is girly, flirty and fun without being obnoxious. This is actually hard to describe, but i just really enjoy it. With a 0.5 oz sample I was able to get a ton of use out of this. It doesn't take much of this scent because it goes far. The only complaint I have is the staying power isn't the best. Otherwise I really like this fragrance and would purchase when I am running low.

gag inducing fragrance from the first squirt to the end. This fragrance screams out "look at me I am a fruit cake". It's bad enough for me to want to wash it off or I will get a headache. too synthetically sweet and cheap smelling diabetic shock syrupy ketone overdose sickness.

This fragrance reminds me so much of Victorias Secret Halo, which has been discontinued. Only requires one small spritz, or could be somewhat overpowering!

I agree with the general consensus on this perfume. Nothing special or worth adding to your collection. You could probably find something similar at Bath & Body Works. I will not repurchase.

Pros:
Sweet and floral
Long lasting
Cons:
Not too original
I got it as a sample from my birchbox (which ALL of you should sign up for, it's simply amazing http://www.birchbox.com?raf=nlhpc ). I LOVE this scent! The only (very) small gripe is that the scent truely isn't that original, but I love it anyway.

I SO wanted to like this scent. I was absolutely in love with Kate Spade's original fragrance, but they discontinued it and replaced it with Twirl. I purchased it as part of a gift set and although I don't regret it, I definitely do not love it either. The biggest problem with this scent is that it has no personality. It smells like a conglomeration of about 10 other similar, uninspired scents on the market and has nothing to make it stand out in any way shape or form. It doesn't smell "bad" per se, it just doesn't knock my sock off. A definite disappointment--I wish they'd bring back the original Kate Spade and discontinue this overpriced boring scent.

I must confess that I am often attracted to trying a new sent because of how pretty the bottle is. That was definitely the case with Kate Spade Twirl, I mean, come on, the bottle is like a chilhood fantasy, absolutely magical! Sadly the pretty bottle is in my opinion the best thing about this sent. As one of my first swaps on MUA, I arranged a swap for a rollerball of Twirl because I had been wanting to try it for so long. Coincidentally I received a sample of it as a freebie in another swap before I received the rollerball, and I realized I dislike the sent! Sadface. :( It is a potent, old fashioned smelling sent with few discernable notes for me, overwhelming to the point of nausea. I prefer lighter fruity, floral, amber and vanilla notes, so I wish I had asked someone to discribe this fragrance to me before trying it. Oh well, at least I'm not out a chunk of cash for buying the fullsize, although at least I would have the pretty bottle to decorate my vanity, lol. I have learned my lesson and will now sample fragrances whenever possible before buying or swapping, and I rec you do the same, especially before buying this sent!

I received samples of both this and Boyfriend (ick) and I didn't even finish the vial. It's not bad, but it isn't something I'm going to run out and buy. I like fruit and flower scents so this just wasn't for me.

Got a sample of this. Smells ok, but nothing near justifying the price of it. Nothing spectular or special IMO either.

I was hoping that Twirl was just Kate Spade's original perfume undergoing a new campaign with a new name and bottle. Unfortunately, that's not the case. Twirl smells like something I would find at Walmart. The original scent was so glamorous and feminine; Twirl must be the deformed sibling that was kept hidden away in the basement until recently and it may be wise for it to return there.

I wanted to like this; the bottle is so pretty. I got a sample size. At first spritz it smelled nice, then it quickly dried down to something that gave me really bad headache. It's so pungent I has to scrub it off because I couldn't stand it.

Watermelon hairspray with a bitter note that might be the black current. Fades to generic, chemical modern musk, not to its benefit. Wow, this so didn't work for me.

I was excited about this fragrance when it came as a sample. Put it on, the boyfriend LOVED it (would not stop sniffing my neck and arms), but within minutes I had a headache. A couple of days later I thought I would try again due to the favorable respose from the bf, punding headache again, and I rarely get headaches from a scent. Oh well, at least I did not spend any money on it!

Got a sample from Sephora, certainly smelled better in bottle and on the little tester card. Once on me it smelled like some sort of windex or floor cleaner I have used for cleaning before! Yuck, Yuck Yuck, Definite pass for me on this one!

I bought this because I could not put down the little piece of paper that the scent was spritzed onto when I was at the fragrance counters. On the paper, it was floral and apple (what I wanted DKNY Be Delicious green to be), though the initial blast of alcohol is very strong and needs time to dissipate. When I got the bottle home and tried it, it seemed to be less fruity. I actually am catching whiffs of muskiness, almost sandalwood. I plan on keeping the bottle, but I'm not buying it again. It actually layers quite nicely with DKNY Be Delicious Fresh Blossom, which I own and love for it's sweet simplicity, because it gives it an extra layer of complexity.
Edit: Okay, took away lippies...as the day wore on, it smelled more and more like generic perfume, and it gave me a slight headache. I can't get it off my wrist, and I have to put something over it just to soften it. I am returning this. I think the top notes are not matched very well with the base notes. They do not fade into each other well at all.

I've read a lot of negative reviews about this one and I'm SO glad I didn't listen. I love this fragrance! It is both fruity and floral but neither is too overpowering. The bottle is adorable and I can still smell it on myself hours later!

Confession: I was interested in this just because of the line "She had a cocktail in hand and confetti in her hair." I love splurging on the occasional Kate Spade bag or pair of shoes.
But this scent is just okay. I purchased the rollerball rather than a bottle. It's pretty strong - I may have gone overboard because I expected the rollerball to be weaker like the others I own. I like the scent much more after a couple of hours when it dies down, but 3 hours after applying, it's pretty much gone.
I may end up returning this in favor of my other go-to scents (Stella, Daisy, & Nina). I didn't feel like twirling in confetti with a cocktail in my hand.
