The concept and the cheap sale of this product had me buying it. I don't do washable mascaras, which is why I won't be repurchasing, but the wand on this is fantastic. I really love rubber brushes, and the idea that I can choose the setting of the amount of product on my brush was cool. The product gave me good length and volume, so I would recommend to those who enjoy washable mascaras. This product just wasn't for me.

I like this mascara. Its not the best I've tried but its great. I like the comb type brush. It applies evenly and does not make a mess during application to the lower lash line or the inner corner. The formula is wet but not watery. I just use #3 on the dial. I think the chubby packaging is a bit clumpsy IMO. But for my lashes I get length not necessarily volume. My bf noticed my lashes recently when I wore this and men usually dont notice things like this. So I guess this mascara did something right.

This is an okay mascara but when you put it on a 3 it clumps and sticks your lashes together. If you put it on a 2 it gives it you very natural looking lashs over all I won't be repurchasing

Got mine @Dollar Tree. HATE IT! Don't get the "dial" thing at all, as they all apply the same to me! GUNKY JUNKY lashes every time! And how, in the world, do you wipe off the excess??? My tube is so filthy! This makes my lashes look like thick spider legs, and that's with just one coat(can't believe this is even from Almay)! Also used it as a liner, with a brush, and it stayed on ALL day(the only positive to this thing). The WORST mascara I've ever used!

1,2,3 all give about the same amount of mascara on the brush, i recommend going right to 3 for the top lashes. for thick lashes apply 2-3 coats on top lashes. for me what works best is to apply 1 coat of 1 on the bottom lashes. Overall, its a great product

My friend bought this mascara for me on Mother's Day, (weird, I know, I'm only 15 and 0 kids) but I was happy anyhow. However, I was confused about the number thingy, because 1,2, and 3 were all the same, and 3 did make a difference, but not much. The amount of mascara was the same, and the length + thickness was the same. So I absolutely quit all mascaras and my lashes are thick as ever. But I wouldn't recommend this to anyone in dying use of a mascara.

This mascara is very good quality and I find that it does not clump easily. It also washes off fairly well and offers very good coverage of the lashes. Very good sized wand, easy to hold.
I find that the "1, 2, 3" Dial up thing to be a waste of time....just go to #3 and you'll be perfect as I don't see a difference between ANY of the numbers and the amount of mascara that is on the wand.

I like this, I have sensitive eyes so I am limited in what mascaras I can use. My eyes will tear at the drop of a hat so I've had to go through many many brands to find ones that won't make my eyes water. This is a good mascara if you like a natural look, it is also great for bottom lashes. I like to use this in conjunction with other brands that offer more volume, the wand is great for untangling clumped lashes because the plastic bristles are very fine. I found this at the dollar store so I always have a few tubes on hand and one in my purse. Over all, this isn't going to offer anything exciting, but if you have sensitive eyes and want a natural looking mascara give this a shot. Almay is a cruelty free brand so thumbs up there. This mascara is okay. I like really natural makeup looks, and this mascara clumped up my clashes pretty bad. The wand comes out with globs of mascara stuck to it, even on level one, and it is the only mascara I have at the moment. It's quite easy to use, though, and the color is great, but I do notice that I have smudges under my eyes at the end of the day (not really bad, but noticeable) and that it is a little hard to get off. I would recommend this for more dramatic mascara looks, or if you needed a thicker mascara for spidery lashes, not if you like natural yet defined lashes.

I too found this at a dollar store ( should be a red flag no?)

I liked the idea of being able to have a subtle day mascara ( level 1) or a dramatic one ( level 3) or anywhere in between all in one tube, but twisting the tube up has only one real effect, giving you clumps galore.

Even at level 1 the brush is overloaded with mascara and it smudged within hours. Added more volume than length. Would not recommend, there are much better mascaras even almay mascaras out there

Pros:
Rich black color
didn't irritate contacts

Cons:
overloaded brush
no real "dial up" effect
smudges

this mascara is very gimmicky. i like 1 for my bottom lashes and i like 3 for my top lashes. it doesnt allow you to get the inner corners but it gets the outer corners beautifully. it is definatley not worth its usual price at 8-10 dollars but i got it at a dollar general, so it is worth that 1 dollar. you also get a lot less product than normal mascaras. overall, its a great everyday, for school mascara. would only repurchase if i found it there again. which i still have so check your dollar stores ladies!

Ugh. My friends got me this for my birthday, and at first, I thought "hey! There's a dial-up button!" But really, it's just a gimmick. I really like the button, but the packaging.......it's way too bulgy. As for the formula, it is horrible. Whenever I put it on, it smudges a little, which drives me INSANE.
Whenever I put it on, I have to check every half an hour to make sure it didn't smudge on my lower lash line. Will NEVER purchase this.
It's useful if it's the ONLY thing in your purse or whatever. But overall,
it's just horrible,

This is good for a basic mascara, nothing special. I always use it on level 1, since I don't want anything too dramatic. I haven't had any issues at all with clumping or anything like that. I am positive there are way better mascaras out there but this one is "just okay" and could work in a pinch!

I also found this in the Dollar Tree. If this wasn't so hard to wash off, I'd buy it again. I love the really black color of the product. If you use more than one coat it will clump, so just wipe the brush before using and comb out the clumps. If it had a "real brush" I doubt there would be so much wet clumping. The dial is useless and packaging bulky and not travel friendly.

Pros:
Gorgeous super black color
Lashes seem to hold a curl
$1

Cons:
Fat/bulky tube
worthless dial
awful plastic "brush" (give me a real brush!!!)
hard to remove from lashes

This is easily the worst mascara I've ever tried. It's too wet and goes on really clumpy and smudgy. The brush is the plastic bristle type but with really short bristles that do absolutely nothing. Like previous reviewers have mentioned, the dial-up feature is just a gimmick. I bought it at my local Dollar Tree store and I'm sorry I wasted even a dollar on this.

I love this, I bought it a while ago at Bealls because it was like $4 and I knew it was much more at Walmart and other drugstores.. I didn't know it would become my favorite mascara! I love it, and am almost out. Today I found it at my dollar store and I was so happy, of course I picked it up. It looks so natural, I've used it completely with NO clumps ever, never had a problem of flaking or anything else. I use blackest black, but they also have a black brown color. For everday (I love dramatic eyelashes with neutral makeup) I use it on the 3rd setting of the dial, and it looks great (: no matter how many mascaras I buy, I always come back to this one!

I have walked by this mascara in several drug stores for some time now, epsecially with it being priced at about $10 and was amazed to find this in my local Dollar Tree for $1! I figured that at $1 it's worth a try.

I prefer to use this on #2 and in Blackest Black. I usually use MAC's Prep and Prime Lash with a majority of mascaras to try to boost the product but I find that even without it Dial Up is a great product. Great pigmentation. My only complaint is the packaging because it's so bulky.

Found this at the Dollar Tree and I was ecstatic because ideally Almay SOUNDS like it would be just what I need for my sensitive skin and eyes, but IRONICALLY, most everything Almay that I have tried has been more irritating than mainstream Maybelline or CoverGirl products. This mascara is no exception. Thought it was love at first swipe with how smooth and beautifuly dark black this initially went on as a mascara. However, 5 minutes after putting it on, my eyes felt and looked red and irritated, and this continued the whole night I had this on until I completely removed it. Very very sad because a $1 successful mascara would have made my month, and I surely would have gone back to stock up on more. But more importantly, I once again realized how Almay products are oddly even less hypoallergenic than other companies, mostly because (if you notice Almay ingredient labels) they like to put excessive botanicals and extracts in their products, which all can be potentially irritating. A lot of times, simple and basic is the way to go for sensitive beauty upkeeping.

I just think that the mascara doe nothing..The mascara claims that with the turn of a dial you can get varying looks I did not find this to be the case. The mascara looks the same at 1 as it does at 3.,I found that it neither lengthens or volumizes. It also flakes really quickly. If you want to try it I found this at the dollar tree,
