This product is fabulous. It doesn't say really that it is formulated for acne-prone skin but it works sooooo well for that issue! I believe the Glycolic acid along with some other great ingredients like Licorice Root and Witch Hazel make it so effective. It isn't foamy (which is great for me since I have skin that tends to be drier) but feels really nice on and once you wash or tissue it off. I started by taking it off with just tissues, but I felt like it left a bit of a residue. I'm also not sure if it removes make up that well but I just do a quick wash with Johnson's head to toe baby wash before and that does the trick. Give it a shot! :)

I'm in love with this cleanser. I've been traveling and under a lot of stress recently, and my skin was showing it. I had these weird bumps on my forehead, and zits all along my jawline, plus clogged pores in my t-zone. Basically, I was totally freaked. So I was wandering around CVS and found this gem, read some reviews, and decided to give it a try. A week later, my skin is back to normal; in fact, it's better than normal. I've had discoloration and clogged pores/ zits since I was young, and this is the first product that's made my skin look healthy and radiant. I've been comfortable wearing minimal to no makeup, and have gotten more compliments by my loved ones than ever. I'm in love with this product, and will rebuy over and over.

I had a good amount of whiteheads on my forehead that I developed when I was using a cold cream style liquid cleanser. I tried this due to the glycolic acid, and it got rid of them. It has also balanced my dry-combination skin without irritating it (sensitivity issues). I've had a bottle of this for a few months and still haven't ran out. More expensive than most drugstore cleansers but worth it for the improvements that I saw in my skin (and still cheaper than most department store/high end cleansers).

After reading the good reviews of this product I decided to give it a try. I have been using the Skin Effects self-foaming cleanser for years (I still use it a.m.) but thought the glycolic cleanser would be a good product to use at night.

This cleanser has made my skin much smoother. I have experienced no irritation and can even use it on my neck which is particularly sensitive. It has even made my hands look better. It has also helped to clear up forehead bumps that I have had for what seems like forever.

A little goes a long way, so even though it's more expensive than a lot of drugstore cleansers, in the end it really isn't that expensive.

I've been using this for just over a week. I'm 26 and my skin is worse than it was when I was a teenager. Every time I get the tiniest little zit it lingers forever, then leaves a dark mark on my face that takes 6 months to go away. I was dealing with a mega-breakout on my face, along with a ton of clogged pores, and I ran out of my usual acne scrub (which obviously wasn't working anymore), so I bought this on a whim without doing any research.

The first time I used this I could feel a slight stinging on my zits, and my face felt smoother afterward. Now, after a week of use, my cheeks are clearing up, but I have a fresh crop of nasty red pimples along my jawline. By the time I started using this product, I'd gotten my period so my cheeks were starting to clear up on their own. So I'm really not sure if this product works for acne. I do have to say that most of the pimples that just went away did not leave such a bad red mark as they usually do. And my clogged pore problem is gone. Before I started using this cleanser I could lightly run my nails over my face and a bunch of oil plugs would come out. I don't really have that problem now. So even if it's not clearing up my acne, it's doing other good things.

I am completely in love, enamored, enthralled with this product. I've been using it for 4 days and I noticed a major change to my skin's clarity and texture after just the first use. Not only is it clearing my breakouts rapidly it has already cleared up several stubborn superficial red marks left by previous acne. I have some pitted scars on my cheeks and even those seem to be much less noticeable. I initially only bought this product to try because of the glycolic acid alone, but now I do not think I'll ever be going back to using any other cleanser. I know when my skin likes something, and it certainly likes this. The texture of the product is amazing, it is the smoothest and creamiest cleanser I've ever used, and others were right in saying it does not dry nor does it leave a film on your skin. The price at first seemed steep, but if it continues to perform like it has been I'll be purchasing this in bulk. I was using the Loreal 360 Go Clean for sensitive skin prior to using this, and so I've just started using the little scrubblet with this cleanser - a nice alternative to the clarisonic if you can't afford one. The scrubblet works really well and is very gentle, I use it with all my face washes/scrubs. I hope they never discontinue it, I am in love.

I noticed a difference after one use. I have some sun exposure discoloration and acne scars. I noticed clarity extremely fast. After three days of using this cleanser, one of my tiny acne scars is almost completely gone. I've found that out of all the chemicals out there, glycolic works best for me. Sure, it's expensive @ $13.99 for a slim tube but it works. The best thing is that this goes a good job cleaning but doesn't leave a film on the skin nor does it make the skin dry. I love how it makes my face really smooth to the touch. Even my hands get smooth after washing my face. The only issue for some would be the slight warmth you get at intial application. It's not uncomfortable but you can certainly tell there is a slight sensation. If you are like me with very reactive skin that can't handle cleansers that either cause clogged pores, itching, breakouts or dry out the skin, then try this out.

I bought this maybe two weeks ago and have been using it AM and PM. No Clarisonic, but I do use a washcloth to wipe it off. I am very happy with the results. I was using Origins oil to cleanse, but I took a break from birth control and thought I might need to be a little more proactive in preventing breakouts. I wish I'd been using this stuff for years.

My skin has not broken out, nor has it dried out at all, and some weird long term imperfections have been clearing up- for example, a congested area on the side of my nose which is invisible from 1 or 2 feet away, but I notice when I examine my skin in the magnifying mirror. I looked at it today and was like, damn, is that smaller? My forehead is also smoother (no wrinkles, but I usually have one or two gross little bumps).

To be fair, I've also done a few glycolic peels at home, but haven't done one of those in a while and just noticed the reduction today, after two weeks of the cleanser. I am less self concious about not wearing makeup around my boyfriend, and am getting away with just tinted moisturizer at work. So, I am coming to three conclusions

1) glycolic acid is my new best friend
2) Dr. Jeffrey Dover makes some affordable drug store products that give decent results
3) birth control, schmirth control. I used to think I could NEVER go off this stuff, that my face would just explode! Not the case.

I do hate the packaging. Not only does the pump suck, but also mine seems to be defective. I'm going to transfer it all to another bottle though. Worth the trouble.

This is my HG cleanser for exfoliating! I have sensitive skin so things like st. ives apricot scrub makes me feel like my face is being scraped, and even the microbead washes end up drying my skin out and over stripping. I came to the conclusion I prefer chemical exfoliants over mechanical ones which are just too abrasive. This glycolic cleanser has a low level of glycolic acid (for seasoned acid peel users, probably a negligent amount) that is perfect for gently sweeping surface cells away from my sensitive skin without leaving it irritated, dry, or red. It can be drying if I use it too much, so I only use it at night, and sometimes not even everyday (you can see, my skin is just super sensitive- so annoying!). A small amount is enough so it will last a long time. It's creamy, low-lathering, and it contains hyaluronic acid microspheres to hydrate, and licorice and calendula to soothe. Oil-free and gentle. Sold at CVS only for $12-13 but sometimes they have sales or buy one, get one half off deals.

I had used this product for about a year, along with the glycolic day cream 30 SPF. For some reason I decided to change, which was the dumbest thing ever. The grass is definitely not greener on the other side. I realized how much I missed it when I tried something else and my skin broke out all over. Once I changed back I had the familiar feeling that had me hooked from the first time I tried it. I'm not switching again.

I honestly feel like I have the most problematic skin (acne, dark spots) on the face of this Earth, so my initial reasons for purchasing this product was the main ingredient: Glycolic Acid. Since GA is supposed to be good at clearing pores and minimizing the appearance of dark spots, I figured I'd give it a whirl. The price, IMO, is pretty steep for a drugstore product, selling at ~$13. Also the way it's packaged could be better; it is a pump and often it gets stuck when dispensing product and you must manually pull up the pump to dispense more. Yet, once you get passed all of that, the product is really good and seems to deliver what it promises. I have been using it now for about 5months and my skin has definitely improved from its dull, acne-filled state, to a smoother, "acne-free" (with the exception of 1-2 pimples on occasion). As another reviewer indicated, I too use this with my Clarisonic Pro face brush, so I'm sure this has enhanced my experience with this product. The big thing for me why I continue to purchase this product is that it does not cause any breakouts (contains no comedogenic ingredients) and it does not overly dry out your face :) I say give this product a shot if you have sensitive, acne-prone skin with postmarks. It is sold at CVS Pharmacy.

I think I may have found my HG cleanser. I've been looking for a glycolic cleanser that wasn't drying and I think I've found it. It's quickly evening out my skintone and getting rid of the blackheads on my nose. Please note I use this with my Clarisonic so I'm sure that helps. So far, it seems to be preventing breakouts too. I do feel like I have a glow as well.

It's like $15 which is pretty cheap for a product of this caliber. You really only need a small amount and the tube is quite large so I could see this lasting awhile. My only complaint is that I wish this came with a better top. It's a pump and comes with the small plug, which may not be great for travel. Other than that, I really love this product. I also find that I do not need to use toner either.

Wow, my review is completely different of the first. I am using this product in conjunction with the SkinEffects 8% Glycolic Peel pads (every other day) as well as the SPF 30 Glycolic Day Cream.

I have seen some AWESOME results that I can't wait to tell everyone about.

First, just the cleanser- I love it because it feels really gentle, but CLEANS my skin. I have combination-acne prone skin, and I need to get it clean deep down every day. When I sweep toner over my face afterwards, there is no residue, and I like that. Also, you can actually feel the glycolic in the cleanser tingling your skin (very slightly) which is awesome because I can feel it working! It hasn't irritated my skin at all. (I'm very sensitive to oils, salicylic acid, and some other things) And it leaves my skin feeling really soft, and "ready" for moisturizer. I have to say my most favorite skin care ingredient is Hyaluronic Acid. I was STOKED to see on the back of the bottle that this cleanser has it! Now I know why my skin is taking the moisturizer even better. It's a dream cleanser, and it's CHEAP :)

Since I have been using this set (about 4 days) I have seen a huge improvement in not only the clarity of my skin (no breakouts on my face at the moment-omg!)but the texture, the pore size, the blotches from past acne scars are fading, my makeup goes on way better, and my skin just GLOWS. I have gotten about 10 absolutely random compliments from my boyfriend. He has told me I look beautiful and about 8 out of 10 times it was WITHOUT MAKEUP! Ahhhh! It is putting an extra hop in my step this week and I am really starting to love my skin.

I am doing a 30% glycolic peel from makeup artists choice after my birthday this weekend, and hopefully I will see even better results. I'll definitely be doing a review on that too! XOXO

This is useless. As a cleanser, I did not notice any difference in my skin texture, clarity and firmness, which is what the label promises. Nor did it reveal younger looking skin with each use, also as promised. What's worse, the packaging fell apart, so that I have to keep the top off in order to use it. This was a complete waste of money, and I would not buy this again.
