I had high hopes for this spiky little ball. The Telescopic Explosion mascara is pretty decent. I do not care for the themed packaging; the wand is awkwardly long, thin, and too flexible. It weakens the effectiveness of the Givenchy-esque brush. That being said, with some patience, you can achieve some nice length with this mascara. I got excellent separation, decent color, and plenty of length without it getting spidery. I hoped for some volume, but alas, this is only a lengthening mascara. I do enjoy using this in conjunction with my HG, Maybelline the Falsies or Benefit's They're Real. I got this for about $5 on amazon.com so I am pleased with the product, but it's not my favorite.

I was hesitant and purchasing this mascara at first. Normally I do not go for waterproof mascaras, however, I was wondering about the telescopic explosion mascara in general when I came across this and found that the regular one was sold out. This was when it was on sale and I had some awesome coupons that brought down this tube of mascara to roughly $2.50 instead of it's normal $10-$12 USD range. I decided to purchase the waterproof one anyway. I really like the brush; I can get the tiny lashes that I normally can't get. Also, once this is applied after curling, my lashes stay curled all day. I have not experienced flaking and it has been alright with my sensitive eyes. Just so you know, it does not provide volumes, it does provide some lengthening, it does have a faint mascara-y smell (but it goes away very quickly), it does separate (I recommend applying a light layer, NOT waiting for it to dry completely, and apply a second light layer right away), and it is extremely waterproof. If you do not normally use makeup remover, you might need to use one if your cleanser is too gentle.
Overall, I am unsure if I would recommend this mascara. It's not terrible, but it's not great. I might repurchase this again (I actually bought another tube before the sale went away).

I thought that this would be a really cool waterproof mascara because of the size of the wand- because big wands and waterproof mascaras really do not mix! I was right. There are mixed reviews in this mascara, I have noticed- some love it, some hate it. I side with the people who love it, because I feel that it worked for me. I have really short lashes, and this did a good job of lengthening them. It does not volumize a lot, and it does harden the lashes, but those are only minor setbacks. I have read from some people that the brush has too much product; but for me, this brush does not have enough product! I literally need to use the tube part of the wand too layer on the product, and use the brush itself to separate it for maximum results. I like that it does stay in the water pretty well (I'm a swimmer), and there is minimal smudging. When you take it off, the mascara tends to come off in flakes, an fyi just in case that bothers anyone. I found the packaging to be really crappy, though; you can literally scratch the name off the tube! This product is a bit more pricey for $9, but other than that, it is a great waterproof mascara!

This used to be my go-to mascara for about a year! I really liked the dramatic look it gave and it is quite WATERPROOF!!! The brush is a small ball wand type and it is really useful for both the upper and lower lashes. Although, a downside is that it might take a while to get the desired look on the upper lashes since the wand is meant to coat just small sections at a time.
Pros:
Intense black color
Holds curl
Waterproof!!
Lengthening
Small brush, great for lower lashes
Cons:
Too fake/thick spidery lashes
Flaking towards the end of the day
Small brush, can take a while to get desired look
I highly recommend this to those who want dramatic lashes without looking like a panda at the end of the day!

This strange looking mascara wand may leave you shaking your head. But never fear, this mascara is really quit good. I will say it takes some time to get use to especially when you are use to using traditional wands. however, this small ball on the end of the wand is perfect for getting all your lashes especially on the inner and outer corner. One tip, run the mascara wand across the tip of the lashes to get the full effect of this mascara.

I like this mascara. After curling my lashes, these make my baby asian lashes super long - like way extend up wards - I can see the difference. The little ball applicator makes a difference in really extending the lashes. Also a plus for me is even without a primer, this doesn't smudge on me - Super +++ because my biggest issue with mascara is they all smudge on me. Good product. I like.

I love this mascara. I wish there were more product in the bottle. It lengthens the look of my lashes. I do have to keep reapplying but once i get the look that i want i stop because once it dries it's hard to put it more on it. It'll look more cake like. The price is reasonable and I like the way it makes my lashes look. Like i said I only wish there were more product in the tube. I had to keep putting back the wand to get more product. Other than that I love this mascara. I will purchase more to my collection. It made my lashes look nice and fluttery... I have used other mascaras and a friend of mine recommended this one. She has the regular. I have the waterproof mascara telescopic explosion. I like it so far. Great and good price!!! I love the rounded wand too. It really helps with the application....

I have short, stick straight Asian lashes and this sad little weapon did NOTHING for them.
CONS
no volume
no length
no curl
useless, flimsly wand and stupid gimmicky brush
dull black color
expensive for drug store brand
OVERRATED AND USELESS
Pros
cool look and idea...thats about it.
MAJOR FAIL!

For what i use the mascara for it works great! I first curl my eyelashes and then use this mascara for a base coat (forget those expensive gimmicky base coats) and because it is waterproof my lashes keep the curl well. I tried to use it alone but it smudges terribly (surprising since it is waterproof) so i now use it only as a base coat and then go over it with revlon's 3D Volume which is amazing for volume. This gives me a great looking lash with curl and only 2 coats of mascara.
I also like Givenchy's Phenomen'Eyes Mascara which has a similar (but better) brush. For the price and the fact i use this daily i can live with the drugstore version for now.

i really love this. i don't wear mascara everyday, but when i do, this is great for seperating and lengthening my lashes. i like the little rollerball applicator, it may take a little adjusting, but i've found this product is better than all the HG products i've bought over the years. will repurchase, i just hope it doesn't get discontinued as so many drugstore products do!

I have very mix thoughts on this mascara and I really cannot understand why. First off, I got it at the L'Oreal warehouse sale so I don't know the actually price for it. I got it because of the unique brush. I will say, you need to coat a lot to get a decent amount but it isn't a pain like Covergirl's Lash Blast to remove. This does separate my lashes to make it a little bit more fuller. However after a few hours, this left smudges over my eyes, not a lot like Maybelline's Lash Stiletto but it did emphasis my dark circles.
I guess overall, it does what it claims to do, besides the smudge proof bit which I am still iffy about. It's a decent mascara but it isn't something I am overly impressed by.
EDIT: So after a few more trial, I do find this really nice on the upper lashes and not on my lower ones so it doesn't smudge as much.

With this brush, you'd think you'd get some great definition, but not so. I had issues with clumping- it's hard to brush any clumps away with this tiny brush. But worse was the spider-leg effect! (no, the mascara wasn't old and dried out) Wish the spider-leg effect would go away because otherwise it offered great length. Oh, and no matter how good you think you are.. you will poke yourself in the eye and it WILL hurt.

My lashes look long with volume! I love this mascara:) I have tried many many mascaras and this mascara seems to do what I want it to do. Not clumpy, not dry, not spidery, not crispy. I get volume, seperation, length and curl. Yes the wand is really different but not hard to use, it catches almost every lash:)

This is honestly the best mascara I have ever used. I am asian but my eyelashes are fairly long. They are just DEAD straight. I have literally tried many many mascaras. From Dior's iconic mascara to badgal lash by benefit, to covergirl's lash blast. They always made my eyelashes fall by 2 minutes after application. I have even tried sexy curves by rimmel and also great curl mascara by rimmel, yet it still didn't work. It gave me curl holding power, but no volumizing or lengthening at all. BUT, I have heard things from a youtube beauty guru, and I trusted her, so I went ahead and bought the waterproof, AND non waterproof. The non waterproof is so bad. It clumps like CRAZY. Anyways this mascara... is my holy grail item.5 guys asked me if I was wearing falsies. My friends always compliment my eyelashes. And I honestly can not say enough good things about it. IF YOU HAVE THIN, STRAIGHT EYELASHES, THIS ONE IS DEFINITELY MADE FOR YOU! :)

Curling power --- holds great curls all day long (12+ hours)
Lengthening power --- rly rly lengthens!
Waterproof ability ---- no smudges nor smears, haven't gone swimming w/ them on yet.
Wand --- separates every lash, easy application can reach corners & coat smaller lashes easily; wish the wand was a lil' shorter cos it was touching my hair & i accidentally wipe it against my temple sometimes.
Summary, you need to WORK w/ this mascara. It will take about 3 coats to get the results --- not a swipe & go type. I combine this w/ a voluminizing mascara to get the doll effect. I am now switching to this masacara for lengthening ability (previously using Maybelline Stiletto).

I'm not a fan of mascara, but I need to use it. I really liked Panaramic Curl, but it's been discontinued. I found this one to be OK. I do like the round brush and how I can get it to every single lash, including the difficult-to-reach ones in the corners. On the other hand, it takes longer to put this on because each stroke of the brush only covers a small area. That's a pain when I'm trying to get out the door in the morning. It holds the curl well, doesn't smudge or flake, and separates the lashes, but it tends to leave me with that spider-leg look if I'm not careful. I'm going to keep looking for my new HG, but might come back to this one if I can't find something better.

I just used this mascara for the first time. I've heard rave reviews about it, especially from a certain YouTube guru who says that the wand is amazing. I was less than amazed. First of all, I could bare get any product onto the wand and I had to dip it back in every 1-2 swipes across my lashes. I held the wand horizontally, vertically, every which way and I could not get this mascara to coat my lashes. And whatever product did stick to my lashes remained tacky. I had to go over my lashes again with a totally different mascara but that only made things worse. It ruined my makeup and really made me angry. This is going straight in the garbage and I'm even thinking of calling L'Oreal and telling them exactly what I think of this product. I would never recommend this to anyone!

I like the results it gives me. My lashes seem to have extended after application and it holds my lashes in a slightly curled form. However, because of the wand, it does take a bit more time to apply it but it can and does get to every lash. I think I got it for around $ 8 CDN and I think its worth it.

This did not work for me. I could not get the hang of this unique brush. It ended up making my eyelashes clump. The color is nice, and it stays on like glue, but I just couldn't apply it correctly. It also seemed a bit thick/wet on the brush. I think this added to the clumping factor. I will not be buying it again.
