I really love the texture and color of this combo balm/gloss/lip color. I agree with others that compare this to Clinique's Black Honey but this is a little more luxurious that's smoother with a richer color. The fragrance is slightly fruity, and the screw container is perfect for longevity in my purse. Will try another Sugar shade from Sephora next time.

I came upon this product by accident. I was on my honeymoon and the hotel we were staying at had the clear balm. I loved the way it felt and after looking it up online I found out they had it in colors! I went to my nearest Sephora and bought the Rose, which I liked pretty well and then later on bought it in Plum, which is my favorite. I absolutely love this tinted lip balm. It's not greasy or sticky at all. When I apply it my lips feel moisturized and soft with a slight wash of color. I live in hot California and I haven't had the problem that I see other people posting about. Mine has softened a little bit in warm weather but it didn't make it unusable. I would definitely buy this again, I just wish it didn't cost as much.

I can't believe I haven't reviewed this. It's one of the few cosmetic products that I've used nearly to completion. I will be repurchasing. I'm a fair-skinned brunette and this color makes my lips look really sexy and natural. The formula feels fabulous. It has lasted over a year with frequent use (several times a week). I probably would have run out within about 8 or 9 months if I hadn't been staying at home with children the past 6 months. No matter which bag I'm carrying while out, I must have this with me. Love it.

Great product in that it imparts a bit more pigment than a lot of tinted balms and my cold-ravaged dry lips were back to soft and supple after just a day or 2 of using this product. I love the packaging (a metal tube with a locked cap so no coming apart when it invariably drifts to the bottom of my purse), and the travel size is perfect for taking everywhere.
Although I'm loving this product, it's pretty much on par with very high-end products, so although I *would* purchase this again but next purchase for just a couple of bucks more will be Dior Addict Lip Glow, which I understand has even better qualities that this one.
Overall, I'd recommend Fresh Sugar Plum to anyone...the color is, IMO, very similar to cult fave Clinique's Black Honey, which pretty much looks great on everyone.

This is a wondefully greasy tinted lip balm with great color payoff. The color is quite neutral and will flatter all but the coolest and warmest complexions. It's very pigmented, slightly sticky, and very lightweight and comfortable to wear. This texture and feel is what all "lip butter" should be like.
I like the durable metal packaging and the screw type lid. This product won't break or accidently open in your bag.
Unfortunately, the product doesn't last well. It functions more like a moisturizer than a cosmetic product and the rich, lovely color fades quickly. Another, more serious "con" is the lack of broad-spectrum SPF in the product.
I clicked "Yes," to repurchasing this product, but I'm really more "Maybe." $20 is a lot of money to pay for a tinted lip balm that fades in a hour and doesn't protect against UVA damage.

This is an amazing, but extremely soft, tinted lip balm.
Price: I bought this as part of a sample trio with two other colors (Honey, Rose) and this was the only one of the three that I kept. (Honey was too orangey on me, Rose was too berry). The price for the trio wasn't bad, but individually, these are expensive for lip balms.
Packaging: Very sleek, screw-in aluminum tubes. My gripe with this will come below.
Color: this is just about a perfect shade for me. It applies so easily and smoothly, has a slightly sweet flavor, smells divine and lasts about 4 hours.
Product: I didn't read all of the prior reviews on this, but now looking at them, I fell victim to the same mistake as many others and had this--almost brand new--in my pocket during the summer. When I took it out to apply it, almost 1/3 of it fell off into the street. This happened again coming out of my purse after walking outside for awhile on a warm day. The product got mushed down into the tube and I found it almost impossible to try and fix and / or salvage. I would buy this again for the color, application, taste and SPF, but would be really cautious to keep / use when it's no warmer than room temperature.

This is an expensive lip balm. Really. But the color is so good on me that I don't regret spending the money at all. I can apply this without a mirror and look decent. On a typical day, I use a little bit of foundation, blush/bronzer, mascara, and this. This color is just enough to make my otherwise washed out lips defined against my medium skintone. There is a slight sheen to it, which I prefer to a full-on gloss. I also like that it's not sticky at all. It makes my lips feel soft and moisturized. I love the packaging - screw-top! It just feels like quality. I did find that as I got to the end of the tube (and summer came) it started to get soft. I've tried the berry, rose, and passion colors, but this one works the best on me.

This is such a pretty sheer berry color. Perfect for Fall/Winter. Seriously, this color is perfect. My problem is the same with all Fresh lip balms--the formula is too soft and impossible to apply as it just becomes mushy and topples over. Like the other Fresh lip balms I find it drying rather than moisturizing. I wish this had worked for me, since this color is so perfect.

This has quickly become one of my favorite products. It doesn't really last too long on the lips, but it feels so incredibly good and soothing when you put it on, and the dark plum color looks great on my light/fair skin too. I keep two on hand - one in my purse for a quick touch up and the other in the bathroom for a quick start to any day that I'm not wearing much makeup. It's a bit pricey overall, but I still prefer it to lesser expensive brands - it has a particular feeling of "quality" and texture that I really like.

I really love this color! I got the birthday gift from Sephora which came with the original and the Rose color and I just had to go back to get the Plum. These are so moisturizing and I love the sheer tint. I tried the other colors but the only ones that I like are Rose and Plum. Plum does go on a little dark but it is natural looking. I like to blot it a little so it's not so intense. I know i will be rebuying this!

I ADORE THIS!!!! It's so amazing. I'm a lipgloss/lipstick fanatic, & I need my lips prepped & moisturized before I use any product on them. This is by far the yummiest, softest, smoothest balms. There's no better lip product like this one. It honestly feels like silk on my lips, and I love that it has a sheen of pink!

I bought this to keep my lips hydrated when makeup free, but I've reached for it almost exclusively ever since even when wearing makeup. I bought the Plum color which looked dark in the tube, but appears as only a light tint. I love the way it feels on my lips, very moisturizing, but not too heavy. My only complaint is that it does tend to soften it the tube gets too warm, so keep it out of the heat. I took mine to the beach in my bag and even though it was out of the direct sun, it softened and almost broke off in the tube when I applied it. Other than that, it's an awesome product!

I liked the original Sugar Lip Treatment, and I'm on my second tube of that now, but Sugar Plum is the first of the colored ones I've tried.
It's really nice! A lot of times when they put color into a product like this, some of the best things about its texture and performance are lost, or compromised. This hasn't happened with Sugar Plum - I think if my eyes were closed, I wouldn't be able to tell the difference. It's all the good things about the original lip treatment, but with a pretty hint of color.
The color is along the lines of Clinique's Black Honey Almost Lipstick (which I've liked for a long time, despite it not feeling that good on my lips). It's a color which is sheer, but dark, which goes on evenly. The color you end up with will depend upon your lips' pigmentation, so I think try-before-you-buy if you're 1. unsure about the color or 2. the formula, considering that this is lipstick-price, not lipbalm-price. Expect a sheer hint of color, which will not cover your lip color, just alter it a bit.
On my lips it's that just-right hint of color that can never be too much, but keeps my lips looking alive and pretty. It's sheer enough that I'm totally comfortable applying this without a mirror, which is at least 1/2 the point of this type of product.
I love that it has SPF 15 so I'm giving my lips a bit of protection when I use it on the go. The lasting power isn't notable ... I just use it about as often as I would use a balm - AKA when I think of it. I'm a fan of the sturdy metal tubes, nothing here is going to crack or break in your bag ... though maybe the writing could wear off the tube? (Not sure, hasn't happened to mine yet, anyhow.) I especially like that the tube SCREWS CLOSED. There is no way it could pop open in my bag. It feels secure. This tube is, if anything, more beautiful than the original because of its color, which also helpfully gives you a good rough idea of the shade of the tint. The metal tube is nicely weighty without being silly-heavy.
The main drawback (aside from price) is the same as with the original lip treatment ... this product is very soft. Especially in warmer temperatures, you need to be careful with it. It would be easy to break the balm off its base, or mush it into the side of the container. It's at risk of going too soft if it's kept in your pocket, or left in a hot place. I imagine if you leave it in a hot parked car or similar it could actually melt. However, my experience thus far is that if you're reasonably careful with these, you should be OK.

I'm on my second purchase of this. It's my go-to lipstick for everyday use. It's very moisturizing and natural. I apply very little. The plum looks great with my complexion. I bought rose too but it just doesn't look as good as plum.

I have re-purchased this product 3 times already. I love the slight tint, the good ingredients, sleek packaging, and pleasant scent. My only wish is for this to be a little cheaper. My lips tend to get dry easily, so this is a great balm. It's definitely one of my all-time favorites.

I've been wanting this for a long time. I have the full size of this color and a mini size of the Rose color. I prefer the rose color. While it's a nice alternative to lipstick I don't think I'll buy it again. It wears off super quick (I expected that and could possibly live with that fact) but it also melts REALLY easily....which you find out as your putting it on and a chunk just pops off and it's useless trying to 'save' the broken bit...It has melted in temperatures that were mild. It feels great on the lips.

I love this product. The color is perfect for me and the texture is so smooth. It makes my lips really soft and the 'taste' is very pleasant and benign, sort of lemony but very light. The color is subtle so it's perfect for daytime plus it has the spf 15. I keep it in my purse and wear it everyday.

This was not love at first swipe for me. I got this for my birthday in a gift set and I thought this dark plum color would never work for me. I'm usually a clear, light pink, or peach type of lip balm girl. When I first put this on I thought that it looked awful. However I wiped a little bit a way and the color was sheer and beautiful. Now I have learned to just dab a little on your lips (and it's so moisturizing that's really all you need) I love this product. It deepens the color of my lips so that I don't look too overdone, but so that I look slightly polished while still natural. I have brown hair and brown eyes and I think the plum is actually very flattering. You can also build this up to get better coverage and a deep plum if you want too.

Oh, how I love this! I've been using it in place of lipstick lately. It gives just enough of a beautiful plum tint, and it makes my (quite pigmented) lips feel great, too. I like the tube--I know it won't open in my purse--and the smell, although I can certainly understand that it's not for everyone. I will definitely repurchase.
