This was recommened to me by the woman at shoppers drugmart. I was excited for it, but after two uses, my oily skin looked even oilier, like a mirror! And it didn't cover my redness very well. The bottle kind of leaks abit too. I am returning it.

I really like the texture and feeling when it's on my skin, I feel like my skin can breathe, especially because a little goes a long way so I need less. I have combination skin with some redness and pimples, and this covers it wonderfully. I have never had so many compliments on my skin :) I also used it on a friend while on a weekend trip who has oily skin and rosacea and she loved it! No bad reactions and great coverage.

This winter my skin turned into a crazy mess of dry flaky patches and wearing foundation only accentuated the dry spots. I went to Shopper's Drug Mart (Canada) to see if there was a foundation formulated for dry skin types and this Vichy Aera Teint was recommended to me. They also make this foundation for other skin types. I've been using the same tube for probably 2-3 months and love it. It is the perfect colour for my skin and has a light/mousy feel. It really makes my face look flawless and hydrated. I do have acne around my chin area and if I apply a little more product to the area on top of my concealer it really hides all imperfections.
The only things I would complain about are: 1) I don't know if this foundation really lasts 12 hours. By the end of the day I can really see that it has rubbed off, but I have to say my skin looks relatively good so I think it has helped even my complexion out. 2) For the first hour or so after I apply this foundation I can easily rub some off accidentally if I touch my face- really interesting texture that I can't describe. Not bad, just different.
I'm going out to purchase this foundation today for round 2 :)

It broke me out horribly on the first time I tested it on my face. FYI my skin is not even acne prone or sensitive. So far nothing has broken me out this badly. There must be something in the ingredients that is very harsh. Although this foundation is wonderful (great satin finish, relatively long-lasting - I would say about 7 hrs) I can't tolerate any more breakouts and will have to ditch it.

This foundation is just great! it looks so natural on my skin. I have very sensitive skin and it works perfectly. it lasts all day long and it makes my skin feels really soft and moisturized. I do think that is a little bit expensive but it is totally worth it. I would definitely buy again.

I don't know why this product is doing so poorly in the ratings. I think it's great.
I bought the aera teint pure liquid foundation for normal/combination skin. I am of scottish/irish descent and have rosacea and little red marks from old breakouts that seem to take forever to go away. The texture of my skin is smooth but it looks ruddy and blotchy without makeup. This foundation evens out my skin tone beautifully and I just add a little extra concealer around my nose where I am very red, a touch of powder, and my skin looks naturally flawless.
I live in a very cold climate so I don't know how this foundation would stand up to heat and humidity, but where I am it lasts 12 hours like it says.
I know everyone is different but on my skin this foundation looks fantastic. If you have a similar skin type you may like it too!

I usually use the Vichy Normaderm foundation for oily/acne prone skin in the shade 15 Opal. I LOVE that foundation for my areas with deep end enlarged pores, like around and on my nose, and here and there on my chins.... So I thought that this one for normal/combination skin would be similar to the Normaderm foundation, and that I could use it on a little "drier" days when the skin is really flaky... BUT NOT!!
This is a really, really thin foundation, that in my opinion does not cover at all, AND does not hide imperfections = enlarged pores and uneven skin structure! This seems to be for really even and normal skin types, that does not need to hide much... My point with a foundation (on my troubled areas, especially around the nose) is to even out both the skintone and the structure... I have quite red/irritated and sensitive skin, cause of all the acne treatments....
Also, this does not seem to exist in lighter shades than the shade Ivory nr 23 here in Scandinavia at the pharmacys...strange... So the shade range is a little limited for us really pale ones....
Overall: This is ok, but really not for oily skin with imperfections...or enlarged pores.
But if you have more normal skin, and need very thin coverage, than try it.... :)

This is my HG foundation. I have tried more brands than I care to name (a few being colourstay, LM oil free, dior forever, MUFE HD...) and vichy has become my go to. I am extremely active day to day, like to workout, have an active job and I will only use a long wearing foundation. The problem is I also hate mask like foundations and am sensitive to breakouts. This foundation is the lightest longwear formula I have tried, and it has great buildable coverage. I don't use concealor with this because it builds and covers so well. It has a natural finish that I appreciate, neither overly matte or dewy. This is the only foundation I have ever repurchased more than 2x, and I will continue to do so. It is so natural looking and performs so well, I really can't rec this enough.

This foundation feels very lightweight on my skin and I had
No reactions. I'm sensitive acne prone , combo. You do need
To moisturize well or it clings to dry patches. The reason I give this
Only 2 lippies is because it does not cover well at all. Doesn't cover blemishes, or acne marks/hyperpigmentation and you cannot use on eyes due to the alcohol content. This would be great for someone who is normal/combo with already good skin to begin with, and my skin needs something that covers better. I'm an NC 30 and #35 Sand was a decent match althou a touch light.

Such a disappointment! Gave me a bad allergic reaction and made me break out! Seriously, why would they put alcohol into a drugstore foundation?!
I mean maybe its suitable for other skintypes...but definitely not for sensitive skin.

First - my mom has a bad allergy reaction to this product. For me this is just good foundation. Not the best, not the worst. It has medium coverage, good consistency (normal/dry & combination/oily texture), but doesn't stay more than 6 hours. Made my skin looking oily. Give a try, if you want, but you can find many foundations that works better.

It's a medium-full coverage foundation, lasts most of the day on my combination skin. It's very easy to apply, as it is quite liquid. Comes in a nice glass bottle with a pump and looks natural. However, I was dissapointed to see alcohol in the ingredient list and therefore will not be repurchasing. I wear the lightest shade, Opal (NC20 in MAC).

Love this product. Got it in 'opal,' work for my medium-fair and kind of yellowy skin tone. I was amazed how quick it blended in. It actually absorbs in to skin instead of looking cakey, for the most part. I also like that it doesn't contain chemical sunscreen. Much better than Revlon Colorstay and Lucy Minerals.
Edit: Doesn't cover my slight acne scars well enough. Returned it.
Also there were some caking problems and it settled into creases of my eyes, though not too bad.

Love the way this foundation feels and look, easy to apply and blend. But i reacts to it with a big increase of bumps on my face in just few days. I believe this is a good foundation because i think it's mostly the sunblock that bothers my skin which i have problems with alot.

I really love this foundation! I got a sample in 35 sand and it matches me perfectly! All I do is dab it onto my face and it's amazing, definitely buying the full size.

I understand why other reviewers didn't think this foundation was worthwile. Initially, I had high hopes that this would be a good match since I found my shade (the lightest: Opal) and it is good for sensitive skin.
However, at some point every day, the foundation would dot over my face, especially my chin, nose and cheeks. It is like the foundation went in my pores and when the oil came out, the foundation just sat on top like a little dot. Needless to say, a good look for a t-shirt but not for my face. This happened to me many times and I just threw it out.
Perhaps a suitable primer would fix this. I am skeptical about this because other foundations I have tried have never gotten me these odd results. Overall, I think the foundation is good for sensitive skin and worthwhile to get a sample to see the results.

Aera Teint Pure Fond de Teint comes in a glass bottle with a pump. I use color 23 which is a shade lighter than my skin but when blended the color evens out to match that of my neck perfectly. There is no visible line between the treated and non treated area my face. The coverage of one layer is medium but is also buildable if needed. Very little of product is needed for the whole face and stays on for at least 10 hours. It doesn't quite mattify but it doesn't make my face oily either and unfortunately does nothing to make my pores appear smaller. What I didn't like about this product is that while it performs good when my skin is smooth, exfoliated and hydrated, it fails compltely when my skin is in need of hydration. This foundation not only makes my skin look like its peeling from dryness, it dries it out even more. All this probably because alcohol is high on the ingredients list and when you open the bottle and inhale the smell, it reeks of alcohol which is a deal breaker for me.
