I love this product. This moisturizer sinks in quickly but hydrates very well. It leaves my skin soft and hydrated, but not oily or greasy and goes so well under make up. Very good quality product!
The only real downfall for me is that it only comes in a jar, not in a tube. Generally the Louis Widmer products come in jars except their fluide hydratant. This is something to regret bc tubes are so much more hygienic...
I find the price-quality okay. I would like it to be cheaper (22 EUR isn't SUPERexpensive but it is definetly expensive enough in my book since i use this morning and evening and also on my neck so it doesn't last me THAT long), but for the quality i'm willing to pay it.

In short: this is a wonderful moisturizer for real combo skin. The light and airy texture helped to keep any greasy spots at bay while still moisturizing the dryer bits. I used this as a night cream during fall/winter and it was perfect except for the extremely cold days when I had the audacity to stay outside for more than an hour. Didn't repurchase because with jar packaging, somehow it usually takes me about one week to discover the first cat hair within the jar. So no jars for me ;-)
- soft and light texture
- available with subtle scent or no scent
- price (22 EUR for 50ml)
- didn't clog pores, didn't grease anything up
- Jar package... Widmer really has to learn NOT to do this!
- No UV, so combine with sunscreen or use as a night cream

A small, round box with a plastic white cap and an unassuming, virtually unknown name, this moisturizer is my salvation. Louis Widmer is a Swiss family-owned brand launched sometime in the 1960s. It's readily available on the shelves in Belgium and, I suspect, elsewhere around Europe, but I haven't heard much said about it. Over here, the whole Louis Widmer range is sold in pharmacies for a very affordable, no frills price--and that's exactly what this moisturizer is. Unlike other creams (see Sisley All-Day, All-Year), Emulsion Hydro-Active is very light and almost milky on the skin. It contains 1% Vitamin E and 0.5% shea butter, which lends it its creamy, gentle consistency. I began using this moisturizer during a particularly tricky breakout, when my skin was both dry and full of inflammations. Emulsion Hydro-Active saved it. Not only did it help the dryness, but it also held my make-up better and evened out my skin during the day. I would eagerly recommend this for anyone with problem skin.
