I have combination/oily, acne-prone, sensitive skin with tonnes of acne scars and hyperpigmentation. Despite reading some of the negative reviews, I still went ahead and tried out Pond's Clarant B3 Normal to Oily Skin in hopes that it'll help fade my scars -- especially as it's inexpensive compared to other lightening cream. It went on very nicely. Slightly drying, but it gives a very nice, matte finish, which I loved. However, after a few days, my lower cheek and chin areas broke out in tiny pimples -- and my skin looked terribly bumpy and uneven. It did not get better until after I stopped using this cream. If you are very oily but NOT acne-prone, this would be a good product to try out.

I am currently using this for my neck. It hasn't presented any problems, but doesn't seem to have any positive effects, either, though I might continue purchasing it for my neck because of the Niacinamide in the ingredients.

I have post acne hyperpigmentation on my cheeks and this has helped me tremendously. At first, if you have oily skin it can seem like it makes your problem worse. The key is persistence. Once your skin "realizes" you have more than enough moisture it will start to produce less oil. At least this is what happened in my case. Anyway, as for the lightening and evening of skin tone it delivers what it promises. Like I said, the key is persistence. I use it 2x's a day once in the morning after cleansing and toning and again at night. It makes a great base for mineral make-up because it gives it something to hold on to after you wash all the oil off of your face in the morning. Just make sure you give it a couple of minutes to absorb after applying. All in all, this is a HG product for me. It reduces oil production with continued use, lightens hyperpigmentation over time, and over all improves skin tone and texture. The only cons are that it comes in a jar, so make sure to wash your hands good before dipping into the jar. Also, it takes about 4-6 weeks for your skin to get adjusted to the product and to see noticeable results. The pros far outweigh the cons though. And the price makes the product attainable to people of all budgets.

I bought this a few days ago because I heard some good reviews about this product. Im not very happy with this product because whenever i put it on it burns my face for like 10 seconds then it stops. It makes my face feel tacky and i tried to use it as moisturizer for my make up it dry too fast so it make my face dry and sticky after i put on my liquid makeup. Im not sure if i would buy this product again...

I have been using this for over a month. The price and quality seem too good to be true. My face has NOT broken out and my dark spots have faded. It is also a superb make-up base and light moisturizer for combination skin.

I normally use the dry version, because that's what I can usually find. However, I came across a big jar of the oily skin version and picked it up. After using it for a couple weeks I found it really doesn't work well for me. It seems to clog my skin (dry skin doesn't unless I really lather it on) and leaves a tacky finish. It doesn't moisturize almost at all, so it doesn't really have any positive effect on my skin. For me, it doesn't wear well under make up, nor does it seems to absorb into my skin at night. It may work for super oily gals, but doesn't do anything for me. I am pretty happy with the dry skin version. I'd recommend it over this version unless you have really oily skin.

been using the product for only about a month now and i am mucho pleased with the results. not only is pigmentation fading, but my face is also noticeably smoother. it is very cheap, about which had me a bit apprehensive at first, but it works. my only problem too is the packaging, i worry about contamination.

my mom told me that the brand has been around for a long time, there just may be a reason for it- cus its good.

Over the moon pleased with this product by Pond's, and my first! I have always steered clear of Pond's because the notion of applying a thick layer of cold cream would probably do more harm than good to my combo/sensitive skin. As much as I love my Olay (forever fan of the Complete and classic beauty fluid in pink), the years of sun damage to change my fair Asian skin a golden tan was adding up. I wanted to try a cream that would help reduce my freckles from the sun and I stumbled upon this little potion in a pink jar at my local Walgreen's. It was a 200 g. jar that came with a freebie 50 g. container as well - great for travel! The large container I had initially purchased in the normal-to-dry version and the freebie was the normal-to-oily version.

I first opened up the 50 g. jar and it was so cute on first inspection dressed in a tiny pink container. But what was even more amazing was what I found inside. I opened it to find the most pretty and feminine scent (hard to describe - but if you have allergies to fragrance, probably not the best product for you) and when I tried a sample of it on the back of my hand, I was hooked. The texture was so light...like a whipped mousse. It was not greasy whatsoever. I applied it to the freckles on my hands, arms, chest. Still afraid to apply it to my face. I finally broke down and just put a smidgen on my face...it felt so cool, light, and matte... no shine in my t-zones! How could something so cheap do so much? Control the oil but provide moisture where needed? I then proceeded to apply my foundation over it... glides effortlessly! Wow. I'm still shocked at how much I love this product.

As for the large jar in the normal-to-dry ... I opened it too. The formulation is much different but the same scent. It is much heavier and has that standard creamy feel to it. More on the emollient side. It proved to be much too heavy and Walgreen's let me return it so I could get a large size in the normal-to-oily formulation ...Yay!

I was reading reviews of how this product seemingly has a cult status in Mexico. I can see why! I purchased this on the intent to combine this with my beloved Olay products as it provides the lightening effects. I will definitely use the Complete over this during the day and the Olay beauty fluid over this at night. I will continue to use this on my body as well... since it's a huge jar for short cash.

I am noticing fading of my spots and a more even skin tone. The good news is that there has yet to be any breakouts, itchiness, or rashes. I'm obsessed!

Definitely try to find the small sample version before you buy the large one. The funny thing is my skin is sensitive, but some products labelled sensitive break me out, and the normal versions do not. So when it comes to beauty products, you definitely have to experiment because everyone's skin and beauty cannot be labelled:)
EDIT: Loved it so much just signed up with Subscribe and Save through Amazon! For TWO jars it's about $14.27! I am noticing lightening effects within the first few days of use as well. Very impressed.

Amazing stuff even for your hands! I watched 10 years vanish on my hands in a week! I work in healthcare and wash my hands a lot. My daughter pointed out how bad my hands looked and I should go see a dermatologist to reverse the damage. Oddly enough, she's a doctor. Instead, I went on a quest to find the best dermabrasion, chemical peel or lotion. I shelled out $$$ over the last year and then I saw this on drugstore.com and remembered my gramma used Ponds. I use it both on my hands and face twice daily and I believe it's better results than what I would have had from the derm guy. And for a fraction of the cost!

PROS: great price for a moisturizer
CONS: leaves face feeling dirty & does not moisturize

this is definitely the wrong product to call a moisturizer! it just sits on top of the skin and leaves my face feeling a little dirty.
I used this product for 8 weeks before I started seeing the slighest results, after I began using Ambi's fade cream <--*amazing product* under it during week 6.
-although I have combination/oily skin, I realize the importance of moisturizing and appreciate a good moisturizer that help with controlling and managing my skin type. I did not like it under my makeup at all, not even under my primer. It left my brushes feeling sticky, causing me to wash the more often than usual.
*****I would NOT recommend this product*****

Ok, so I was looking for a good dark spot corrector, I get black heads more than pimples, but I pick. Bad, I know. So I was trying to undo what I had started. I noticed a change within two days! Spots were fading, and if I used it after picking, it helps the spots not look so red. I am not a fan of this type of jar, I feel like I am adding germs every time I go to get some, but i either just wash my hands before or use a Q-tip. My only other complaint is the texture, a little goes a long way, and it is not very moisturizing. I live in two different counties throughout the year. Half is spent in Montreal, Canada. Where it is very humid, so this moisture is great, not too heavy. The other half is in Colorado, USA. Where the high altitude and low humidity make it very dry. If you are in a dry area I recommend using more or re-aplying. It has a matt finish no matter how much you use. This can be a pro or con, when it is dry and I use my power over it, It does not go on very smoothly. Also if you get any on your eyebrows, they dry the way you put the lotion on them. I can't describe the texture, just different. But it dies what it says and I had no breakouts.

Pros:
- It definitely has evened out my skin tone. My skin is very acne-prone and therefore I have a lot of hyper-pigmentation and this has really helped a lot. (I noticed a difference after about two weeks of use.)
- It comes with a LOT of product.
- It's a nice texture and easy to apply.
- It smells nice.
- Contrary to what many people said, this did not break me out. I have very sensitive, acne-prone skin so I was a little hesitant, but it worked out well for me!
- It's not super expensive and I've found it difficult to find a product that's in my budget that deals with this skin issue!

Cons:
- It's dry for something that says it's a moisturizer... so I use another actually moisturizing product on top of this!
- It really stings your eyes... just a warning.

I have combination skin and generally have really mild breakouts, if any. I had some acne marks and thought this would help.....dead wrong. I only used this once, and the next morning I had horrible cystic acne everywhere! It's been almost a week and my skin still hasn't cleared up :( I'm very upset and definitely will NEVER use this product again. For those wanting to try this product, use sparingly and have some serious acne fighters on hand.

So far I have been using this product religiously for almost a week and already my skin tone seems to be evening out. I love how it feels on my skin and the smell is amazing. At first I was worried that the fragrance in it would irritate my skin, but fortunately it didn't. If anything, it helped with the redness of a blemish to the point where the blemish left no scar at all!!! :) Also, I thought this wouldn't improve my makeup application and well to my surprise it did! This works wonders as a foundation base/primer. My foundation (Loreal True Match Compact Makeup) literally slides on ! So, I strongly believe this product lives up to what it says and I highly recommend.

i bought this about 4 days ago, and i ALREADY see a difference in my skin,

i have DARK acne scarring, that ive had since i was 11, ( yea, no one ever told me picking led to this -_- ) any who, ive tried every thing under the sun, except this, untill 4 days ago, i was strolling through my walmart, and saw an end cap of it marked waaaaayyy down ( to 1.50) so i figured eh why not give it a go, my skin can get no worse.

i am in absolute awe, ive been trying for 11 years, to get rid of this scarring, with everything and its been in my local drugstore all this time.

only thing,i think it may be breaking me out, but once the scarrings gone, i can get rid of the pimples :-) thank you ponds, for boosting my self esteem i am forever greatful

i am going to stock up for JIC and for my family and friends at that price lol

This is by far, the BEST moisterizer i've ever owned! I've spent so much money on trying to find a moisterizer for my oily, sensitive skin and nothing has worked, even my pricey Ole Henrickson brand doesnt come close to this product! My mom bought herself a huge pot of Normal to Dry skin and this came as a sample. She gave it to me to try. I instantly fell in love. it keeps oil at bay yet doesnt overdry my skin at all. It works amazing both in hot and humid weather and freezing cold, dry weather. It is light and allows my skin to breathe, has no harsh perfumes, dyes, or chemicals. And on top of that it visibly reduces post acne spots and scars! I cannot be more thrilled to put this on my face every morning before wearing makeup. The only problem is that its hard to find in stores! I'll have to keep searching because i'm halfway done with it and desperatly need some more. The only OTHER unfortunate thing is that it comes in a pot, meaning you have to dig your fingers into it exposing the cream to bacteria- for this reason i make sure to AWAYS thoroughly wash my hands and fingernails before and after scooping some product out. Definatly a wonderful product overall. Will repurchase over and over again! (As soon as i find a retailer that has it! ;) )

I bought this cream on 12/30/11, and I've been using it everyday since, twice a day, morning and night. I was looking for something that would fade my post-acne marks. So far it's been 10 days and there is only a LITTLE difference, but that might just a little of the the Ambi fade cream that I apply under it, lol.

I don't find it moisturizing to be completely honest, and it doesn't make my face baby-bottom soft, so I always feel the need to put on a thin layer of Clean&Clear Dual Action Moisturizer over it, (LOVE this product!!!)

I really don't like the packaging. This is my first time purchasing from Ponds and I found it intriguing that it was a tub as opposed to a bottle with a pump. I've found that I much prefer a bottle with a pump rather than dipping my finger in the tub to scoop up the cream.

It was pretty hard to find, and when I did find it it was about $13, and my budget is tight, I usually spend $9 and less on skin care products, but I really wanted this cream....

Would I buy it again? I'm not sure. I don't feel its doing much of anything. I'll check back in 3 weeks to update my review, see if there are any changes....

UPDATE: 2/1/12
Okay, so I'm still using this cream. I think I see a difference? Its so hard to tell lol. It might have faded my light acne scars because my face looks a tiny bit clearer. Did it even out my skintone? Somewhat, I guess, but it's still uneven. I only use this at night now, but once it's done, I'm not sure I'll be repurchasing. It's a good base for makeup though :)

UPDATE: 4/2/12
I've stopped using this cream a few weeks ago and threw it away today. Didn't help me at all :/ Disappointed, but I'm glad it's helpful to other people :)

Ok, so my mom gave me a tub of this a while back cause she had no use for it (what a silly woman). It sat on my dresser for a while, then packed in boxes for another, then tumbled around in my van for another few months without me finding use for it.
One day my hubby was cleaning out a few boxes and there it was. He asked if it was to be thrown out, something told me : "nooooooo". So I kept it. It intrigues me a lil so I began to use it. I loved the way it made my face feel, smooth and tight. One day I saw I had run out of primer and decided to use this instead...OMG!!!!! FREAKING FANTABULOUS!!!!! I now use it as a primer as well...also...during the day I dab a few dabs here and there on top of my make up and seems to refresh it!!!! So yea...Imma repurchase!!!!!!!!!!!!!

+++++UPDATE+++++

I went ahead and repurchased it, but somehow, it was NOT the same consistency. I was used to it being thick...however...this one was runny...lotion like...liquidy,,,I tossed it. Using ABH VITA C MOISTURIZER

LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!! I've been using this for 2-3 months and It is awesome! I have very acne prone skin, i cant wear foundation or use skin care with harsh chemicals like salicylic acid bc it gives me horrible horrible cystic acne (so painful) I always have had marks left over on my face since it's so sensitive. (if i even touch a zit i get red immediately! ) I was weary of this because it's much thicker than i am used to but it was on sale and came with a free trial size as well. it does not bother my acne prone skin at all. my skin looks better than ever! I really only break out around my period (I now only use noxzema to wash with) it really does help clear up old red acne marks!
