This is probably my most expensive brow pencil. But I do not attempt to use anything else since I found this. Really it looks very natural and I would repurchase this 10 in a time if i had the cash. Worth every penny.

Asian here, black hair, fair skin. Been using the Shiseido natural black eyebrow pencil for 20+ years now. When I got my first pencil (from my mom's makeup kit!) it didn't have a brush back then. Brush is a nice addition - blends it in really well. Perfect HG eyebrow pencil - looks very natural, long lasting. Anything else looks fake/harsh. Expensive, but definitely worth the price.

I debated getting this forever, because really, it's 30 bucks for a grey pencil. I'm not disappointed at all that I did though! The colour is amazing for Asians, and it really does look very natural. The brush is also quite good at blending in the pencil without lifting too much colour. The pencil is soft, but not so creamy that you go through it super fast. I've used mine for half year every single day, and there's still quite a stick left. I don't need to sharpen it too much either, since it works well with a dull point. That means I don't waste too much product, hurray!

A must have for Asians like myself! I don't necessarily have sparse eyebrows but I do like to fill them in a little here and there. This brow pencil is perfection - easy to use, lasts all day and the COLOUR matches my brows perfectly! (Ashy grey colour). HG status for me.

Funny story, I went through my aunt's makeup searching for a pencil sharpener and I found this. On a whim, I gave it a try. I absolutely love it. It's the most natural eyebrow product I have ever used. I have black hair but most products look way too harsh on me. My eyebrows are naturally full so I don't have to fill them in but they're extremely light. It looks weird to have my eye makeup done but have ultra light eyebrows. I struggle to find a product that will just darken my brows thats meant for black hair. This pencil not only darkens them but not in an obvious way either. I used rimmel black/brown pencil but it's clear that I pencil in my brows when I use it. I'm obsessed with this and would definitely repurchase.

I carry this product with me everywhere I go. Don't let the name fool you--it's gray, not black. I'm NC25 with dark, dark brows and this is such a natural color on me. The staying power is great and it's so easy to use. The brush at the end is very handy. I was blessed with full brows but they grow in differently, so I need something to even out the arches a little to give the illusion of identical brows. Most of the time, I don't even need the brush, but when I am heavy handed, the brush softened up my brows wonderfully. I keep at least two backups at all times.

I love, love, love this eyebrow pencil! I was hesitant at first because I have dark skin so I thought this was going to bring the grey out more even though I read the reviews before I purchased, but it didn't. I have NC40 skin and what I love most about this pencil is that it makes my eyebrows look so natural. Seriously, you can't even tell that i'm wearing anything on my brows which is good because I already have thick brows but I just needed something to shape them and fill in a few gaps.

I bought this pencil off of strawberrynet and it was unboxed which is fine because it was 50% off and the only thing it didn't come with is the eyebrow brush on the other end of the pencil. You don't really need the brush to be honest as it goes on smooth from the get go, but if you really need to you can use your fingers to blend.

I am Asian with very very sparse and light eyebrows. If I use a regular black pencil or shadow to fill my brows it looks too unnatural, so I turned to this shade which blends in more with my hair colour. The lasting power is also decent. Unfortunately for me it's very easy to overdo my brows with this pencil, and I find that I go through it very quickly. I like the colour but I don't think I will repurchase.

This is the best shade for anyone with black hair. It's a slight brown but mostly grey pencil, which seems a bit frightening, but if you're hair is naturally black this pencil will look very natural. It applies easily without being too pigmented or too waxy, and gives a very soft natural look. It is a bit expensive but I couldn't find any eyebrow pencils that worked with my naturally black hair, and also it does tend to fade throughout the day if you don't apply enough of it on.

I wouldn't have found the Shiseido pencil on my own but a helpful Italian sales associate showed it to me.

I have naturally ashy blonde hair, gray-green eyes, pale cool-toned skin but relatively dark (although by no means black) brows. Dark dirty blonde would describe them best.

Most eyebrow pencils meant for blondes are way too red for me and look strange and don't match the rest of my coloring - this includes Dior and Chanel and Guerlain pencils. And dark browns and blacks are too harsh.

The name of this product is quite misleading. It is a neutral grayish color, very long-wearing, simply perfect. No sharpener is included, but the pencil stays sharp for a long time. My brows look perfectly groomed now, this is my HG brow pencil. If you are a blonde and are frustrated with blonde eyebrow pencils, try this out (it's sibling, the natural brown, didn't look reddish either).

This is an HG product for me! I LOVE this eyebrow pencil! It really is natural looking! I have dark brown brows which are so dark they look like they could be black. They are not a warm colored brown. All brow powders and pencils I have tried in browns have been too warm and blacks have been too harsh. This is like a greyish black, not too harsh, just perfect. It blends with my brows perfectly! I hardly have to sharpen it and do not need much, and then I just brush through my brows with a spoolie.

This pencil costs $20!!! I thought it was expensive for what it was. However, I've been using it for a good 2-3 weeks now and I haven't had to sharpen it once! A little goes a really long way with this brow pencil! The color is just as it states - Natural Black. I actually heard about this pencil from a youtuber named Raeview and her brows always look amazing! So of course, I had to get it! I love it!

It's good not as great as my Giorgio Armani brow pencil but close. Also it's Shiseido! Yes, I'm silly like that. It's a soft black colour that blends well with my dark brown brows. It's not harsh at all as some black brow pencils could be. I also like to mix it with another, sometimes even dark brown pencil like Armani no2 if I'm going for a -thicker/stronger-night-brow look or simply add some No7 Beautiful Brows pencil in black which is more pigmented than the Shiseido. My signature look is dark/thick brows with red lips, a bit of concealer and no eye make-up. This brow pencil is a nice compliment for this kind of look and it's versatile--with a lighter hand can be adjusted to a more day time look. For reference, I have light to medium olive skin tone and dark brown eyes

This is my favorite eyebrow pencil I have used so far, and i have used tons! It is a perfect light-medium grey black mixed with hints of brown and the result is incredibly natural. I have really sparse eyebrows, for reference I am NC35 and I the majority of my brows are penciled in so a natural formula is really important to me. I was off brow pencils for a long time and swore by matte eyeshadow or brow powder. However I have totally changed my mind and i think this could be a HG brow pencil for me. Great product and definitely would work for a variety of skin tones, my friend is NC20 and this pencil looks beautiful on her.

Edit: I am going to maintain my 5 lippie rating, however I have since found a better eyebrow product - Suqqu liquid eyebrow pen, waterproof and absolutely amazing. However since the Shiseido is not meant to be waterproof and lasts me through the day (>12hours if you don't disturb it), I still consider it a wonderful product and still use it everyday. The only dfference is that the Suqqu last even loinger and will stay in place even if you rub your eyebrows accidentally.

great brow pencil. it's long lasting on the brows (lasts longer than anastasias brow wiz pencil), and the color is very natural on me. im asian with thin and sparce eyebrows and this works very well.
not harsh against my skintone (nc20) and doesn't look out of place.
very very smooth application with a brush on the other end instead of the traditional spoolie.

try it out at a counter, it's great.

LOVE this brow pencil. The color is gray black and not at all strong and harsh. Just natural grayish black that you can build up to desired darkness. It goes well with my black hair. One end is pencil and the other end is a slanted brush which i don't find very useful. A spoolie would be more useful. The pencil is not round, but rather, it's a classic old school hexagon shape pencil, which I love! All other pencils i own are round. I have used it for about 5 times now and still doesn't require sharpening, so I think this pencil will last me a long time. It's also not waxy. It's firm, and that's very important for a brow pencil to achieve natural looking brows. It works really well to fill in and thicken my brows. Price = $20

I am always looking for a natural looking brow pencil to fill in area's of my thick dark brows. I steer clear of blacks and even dark browns are way to harsh and fake looking. When I came across this I was interested because of the grey which I find looks really natural with dark brows. It fill's brows in but you can't see the pencil it just looks right. The weird brush thing at the end is useless, I much prefer a mascara wand to brush through after so that would be my only complaint - and I find myself having to sharpen regularly resulting in me getting through the pencil in record time.
