To keep it simple - this stuff didn't work for me. I think the idea of a foaming cleanser for people with acne is fine since there shouldn't be any abrasive texture against the face.


I used the whole first kit that I got and it didn't do anything. Like others have said here, they'll charge you a ton of $$$ and throw a second kit at you without warning. Just FYI.


I think what this system lacks is a good moisturizer to treat acne. Regardless is system was a bust for me.

SUCKS. doesnt work and they charge you over 50 dollars for the 2nd shipment without even telling you and it just keeps getting more expensive. also it doesnt do a single thing for my skin if anything it got worse until i started using another product. dont buy it. period.

It took about three months, but this has totally cleared my face! It doesn't dry my skin like most BP treatments do.

I used to get cystic acne on my cheeks, and this has eliminated that (knock on wood). It doesn't do much for blackheads... and I still occasionally get white heads... but definitely the best thing I've found!

The only thing I differ from the package directions is that I use cream cleanser to wash my face vs the foam cleanser. I find that the cream body cleanser actually lasts for the 70 secs you are supposed to rub it around your face. If you try to wash your face for 70 secs with the foam there is nothing left by the end.

Will definitely continue to purchase. Economical compared to many options out there. I do wish they would sell it in the stores.

I've been using this product for about a month now and absolutely love it! I went through a pretty stressful patch this summer and started breaking out because of it. I've always had acne prone skin, but if I get a good regimen down, I can usually keep it under control. Well usually my retin-A does the trick, but when I start breaking out for whatever reason, it is very difficult to get it back under control.

I was getting big, cystic pimples every day and I did what I always do when I break out: panic and buy every product I can get my hands on. My most expensive splurge was the Tanda. It cost me about $300 dollars and didn't do anything, as far as I can tell. I'm still using it because I'm scared that if I stop, I'll break out again :/

Anyway, 3 months on from my initial break out nothing had changed and I was starting to get desperate. I saw an infomercial for MaxClarity on tv. I'm a very gullible person and I always fall for advertising ploys, so of course I ordered it.

I can honestly say that this has worked wonders. I haven't gotten a single pimple since I started using it, and when I run my hand over my chin, it feels completely smooth (except for one small, deep pimple that's taking months to go away). Even when my skin was clear from Retin-A, I could still feel some tiny bumps lying in wait. I should make a note here, that I am also on antibiotics, which are probably helping as well. However, I noticed a dramatic improvement as soon as I started using MaxClarity which makes me think it played the biggest role in clearing my skin.

A lot of people complain of dryness with this, and after about 4 consecutive days using it, I do have to take a night off. I just slather on some lotion and Botanics moisture mask, leave it on for the night, and in the morning, I'm good as new. My skin is super oily though, so dry-skinned people may have more of a problem with this. I've actually found that Max Clarity helps control my oil a bit as well. Of course nothing can solve the problem completely, but I'm no longer a grease pool 2 hours after I've applied my makeup.

Anyway, to sum up: Max Clarity is awesome and I will definitely buy it again and recommend it to everyone I know.

I tried maxclarity, since I have occassional reoccurring breakout on my forehead and chin lately. Gave it a try and it had little instruction....but used it as directed and it caused my skin to have excessive peeling and drying and my skin is really not that sensitive. Tried it for about 2 wks and now I have more acne then when I began it . So I am sending it back.

The product itself worked well for mine and my boyfriends acne. A lot of things i've used in the past didnt work and when I saw the infomercial I wanted to try it. What hooked me was th deal they preached; buy one month for 20$ get the second free. Yea, Right. My mother was billed several times for orders she did not make, and when we called, they said there was nithing they could do because of AUTOMATIC SHIPPING (which we never signed up for and we werent aware of) What happened to the money back guarentee?(sp?)

Also, my towels are bleached.
Thanks, maxclarity! At least my face cleared up for the most part.

This product is the worst one I have ever tried. Trying everything from Proactiv to Murad this was the worst one out of all of them. With in the first week it was great, my skin looked amazing but then by the third week everything started to break out even more than before. I was so sad. I was crying all of the time. I think honestly it was just to harsh for me. I did continue to use it for 6 weeks but it just kept getting worse. I would'nt by this again. Nor would I recommend it to anyone.

Okay here's the deal... I've been using this product for 3 months straight (while I've been experimenting with new foundations & face makeup) and I think I like it. I do have noticeably clearer skin but I have tons of blemishes, which this seems to not get rid of, yet I don't want to see what happens if I stop using this because I don't want pimples again. I'm such a horrible reviewer because I don't want to recommend this if I'm not completely sure it will help you! I suppose it's worth a try since it's low priced. I don't have many complaints about Max Clarity... it does it's job at stopping pimples and clearing acne, but it's not a miracle product. One thing that happened during my 3rd month of use is that the morning cleanser thing you're supposed to put on after your face dries, it stopped foaming and now it's just a runny liquid... no matter how much I shake it, it doesn't foam :( But, I know this product will work on some people with moderate acne. I hope this works for you and I hope this review somewhat helped! xo

So, I got this product yesterday... It came with the 3 steps, and had very little info and directions. I guess it's not needed? Proactiv sends you a book that helps you understand what causes acne and how to get rid of it... But the product sucks. I've used the Max Clarity twice, and it seems to be working pretty well! I must say that after using the wash, when you put the toner on, it burns a lot, but it eventually stops. My pimple size is already smaller, and I think it's gonna work! Here's a tip: I've heard that when you touch your face, bacteria from your fingers, and oils clog your pores, causing more acne... So DON'T TOUCH YOUR FACE. Also, for me at least, what I eat has an effect on how severe my break outs are. I'm not saying this is the case for everyone, but don't complain about your face looking horrendous if you're still gonna touch your face and eat greasy foods. Because, then it's your fault, not theirs. Max Clarity is looking good so far! I have high hopes, and will keep you updated!

So, like everyone else, I saw this infomercial and thought "hmm, foam is different - maybe this product will actually work". Well, in the infomercial they say to use a generous amount, and they say they will send you a 60 day supply. In the beginning, I was using a "generous amount", and it was way too much product. However, I noticed more of a difference in the way my skin felt in the beginning. Once I realized (about 2 weeks into using it) that if I continued to use the product at that rate, it would soon be gone, I used about 1/3 of the amount and stopped seeing a difference in my skin. So, bottom line - if you use as much as they suggest, your product will run out long before the 60 days is up, so you'll have to buy more, therefore they'll earn more money, but if you try to conserve it, you will not see as much of a difference in your skin as you would see if you used more.

Sure enough, It's about a month and 1/2 since I purchased the kit and the facial cleanser is gone, but I still have large amounts of both the yellow and dark blue bottles.

I hate the whole auto-ship thing, especially considering that I've never had any of these "as seen on tv" products do what they say, so why would I want to pay for more of the stuff? After I got my order, I cancelled the auto ship. The agent on the phone said "well, we do prefer it if our customers use the product for the full 30 days before they make a decision" as if it matters what they think I should do with my money. I also noticed on the website that for the auto-ship, you get a 60 day supply but they bill you twice - once for around $20 and then again for around $40, if I remember correctly. And that is how they screw you.
I would sort of like to keep trying the facial cleanser, but I'm certainly not going to buy a new set and have to go through the hassle of calling to cancel the auto-ship. I miss toner, and probably won't purchase this set as a whole, again.

Also, be warned, if you don't know already, that all these products will stain. All my beige towels and sheets have been destroyed over the years - they turn orange. I've had shirts turn orange, and even my red towels are starting to change color. Isn't it nice to know you're putting that stuff on your face?

It did nothing for my skin. It made my acne more red and it didn't give me a clean feeling. With BP and SA in it I thought something would of happen but I was wrong. It did work for my cousin though and she had horrible skin. I guess everyone reacts differently to it.

This stuff seems to work alright for me, although, like another poster said, it feels like putting mousse on my face. You have to get the hang of dispensing only the amount you need--its SUPER easy to use too much.

My biggest complaint: This stuff STAINS clothing. REALLY STAINS. In the beginning, when I was still dispensing too much foam, I had to rub it in a lot to get it to absorb on my skin. There was excess on my neckline, and some of it got on my shirt. There is now an ugly brown stain there that will not wash off.

ALSO, customer care is awful. I've emailed them a couple of times with no response, and when I called in to cancel my automatic shipments, they said I would get a call back with a confirmation since their system "was down". I never got a call. When I called back again the next day, I was on hold for 10 minutes while the representative processed my request for cancellation. So annoying.

Do not buy this. I've had acne since I was 9 so you can imagine I have tried everything. Including the Max Clarity line. It does the same thing all the other infomercial acne solutions do, dries out your skin, stops working after a month and they love their automatic payments. I think my second shipment was over $40. Trial offers are always tempting right?

I wish this worked but it doesn't. So now I have oily, flaky, broken out skin. Its not pretty. I also tried cutting back, using lotions, etc. Us acne sufferers are a desperate bunch and they know that I guess.

Okay well i was very disappointed with this product. Right from the very first time i used it i broke out with 2 huge pimples on my chin! The bottles were really small and you run out of the cleanser really fast. It didn't work at all it just made my skin bumpier. It didn't dry out my skin which i guess is pretty much the only Pro here the Cons are too many to count. I'm better off with Neutrogena oil free acne cleanser which is waay less than half the price of Max Clarity!

I'd waited about 2 months to leave a review for this product thinking it would stop working...NOT A CHANCE! I've been battling acne since the age of 12, I'm 33 now. Just like other reviewers, I've used it all - prescription medications, proactive, etc. Nothing worked 100% until I started using Max Clarity. The trick to avoiding dry skin is to not over-dispense. You really need a relatively small amount of foam to achieve results. I don't really use the wash and the salicylic acid foam, just the Benzoyl Peroxide treatment. It's also good to follow up with an oil-free moisturizer to offset the dryness. A previous reviewer reported problems with the container, I had the same issue with the foam not coming out. I called the company and they replaced it, but they did say you must hold the can upside-down, otherwise the propellant escapes but the medication remains inside the can. This is truly miraculous!

Love this product....has worked on my particular case of acne. Only problem I have experienced is that my blue bottle (the day time BP product) has stopped working properly. Instead of dispensing foam, it now dispenses a runny liquid, even though I use it properly and there is still clearly liquid in the bottle. I might just have a defective bottle. Has anyone else experienced this?....feedback would be great!

Well I must be the lone wolf in the positive review because this system is the best thing that has ever happened to me. I have been battling acne since I was 11, I am d@mn near 30. It took a while but this stuff has been a godsend for me. Previously I have used Retin-A, minocyclin[sic], erythromicin[sic], Accutance, Differin, Tazorac, Ortho-Tricyclin[sic], spirolactone [sic], etc. You name, I have probably been on it. But for some reason my skin reacted badly to it or it did nothing for me.

I have also tried Proactiv. Now there is nothing wrong with that system but for me, the glycolic acid and some organic ingredient, which I found out in hindsight, wrecked my face in the most horrendous way. More acne, broken skin, and a weird combo of dry, flaky skin and oily sections. I had to stop.

My mom suggested this system and I was extremely hesitant because I hate buying $h!t off of the television with a purple passion. But she offered to pay and I said to myself "What the hell? Not my cash.". It shipped pretty quickly and I went to work.

In the beginning I was using too much of everything: the cleanser, the BP and the salicylic acid treatment. So I started using something like half or even a fourth of each of the product and my skin started to improve. I must also mentioned that I stopped drinking pop/soda and eating more vegetables, especially green vegetables. I think my body and skin was reacting to all of the copious amount of sugar I was consuming on a daily basis. Slowly my skin started to improve. Now my skin has made major improvements and right now I am trying to figure out a way to deal with the scars. But I will continue using this system.

I totally understand that there are plenty of people who had an horrible experience with this product. I could say the same about Proactiv, Neutrogena, Aveeno, Clean and Clear, Oxy 10, etc. In response to that, you just have to find something that works for you. It is a annoying and expensive process but you just have to keep searching. Besides there might be different reasons on what causes your acne. I hope this review helps someone and I will post pictures to show you the difference, if I can find a before picture. I never took pictures due to my face but now I am warming up to the idea.

Hi... i've had problem skin for years and years. its getting better slowly now only after I tried a few diff types of medication from the doctor. one that actually worked for me is Clindamycin/Benzoyl peroxide cream that is mixed together by the pharmacy once you're ready to fill the prescription. That has helped me a LOT for the bumpy bump acne i have.

As for face wash, i've tried a lot, and right now what's truly helped my regimen is mixing a few of these things together.

First, get DHC oil. it's GREAT for taking off all makeup. i wet my face and hands and squirt 2 pumps of DHC oil (smells like olive oil), rub on my face and eyemakeup, rinse, then a little max clarity foam on cheeks, forehead, chin and jawline, then rinse. i will apply every other day either the foam toner or foam medication. then i will use a moisturizer (either selleca solutions, or a placenta cream), and every other day the clindamycin cream.

it sounds like a lot of steps but my skin is a LOT smoother now. i think only problems i have now are scars, blotchy redness, large pores and oily skin. but the bumps are gone and that helps so much!

Like many other reviews I had high hopes for this product. I knew I had a terrible experience in the past with benzoyl peroxide. I had accidentally gotten proactive into an open pimple that I had squeezed an hour before and it was awful. So I hoped that the foam in max clarity may help in some way, it was even worse. My skin got so dry and flakey I didn't leave the house for days. It was my fault thinking that foam would make a different when the drug is exactly the same as proactive and every other acne treatment I have tried. My sister was a before and after photo for max clarity and her acne went away, but they don't tell you that they give antibiotics and weekly facials so the after pictures look good. I only used max clarity and did not use anything else, the bottom line is it's just to strong for my skin. The good news is I am using a natural acne treatment that is becoming really popular called LEROSETT and there is no burning and much of my acne is finally gone. The bad news is my sisters acne has come back since she stopped the antibiotics and the max clarity, in think the new natural acne product will work for her like it did for me.

This product can work, I can already see that after 3 days..but you can easily overdo it and make matters worse. This new foam medication is some strong stuff! Here are my personalized directions I use thats just enough to help you see results after a few days but not enough to overdo it and make your skin worse!

Morning time, you'll use the Foaming Cleanser (light blue cap) and Toner (yellow cap). You wont use much cleanser at all, because its strong, and it doesnt take much. Rub some on your neck and massage it in for about 40 or 45 seconds is all you'll need..trust me it'll work..then rinse and pat dry. Then apply a small amount of toner and gently massage that into facial and neck skin as well. You won't need much at all, just a thin layer..or else you'll overdo it and your skin will become tight, red, dry...or a combination of those. Be sure to not use very much cleanser and dont massage it in for any longer than about 45 seconds or that alone will overdry your skin big time!

At evening time you'll go with the foaming cleanser once again and the actual acne medication (dark blue cap). Do the exact same with the cleanser (light blue cap) as you did at the morning time, not too much, don't rub in too long, and it will surely prevent overdrying your precious facial skin. Then after cleansing, add a small amount of the acne medication and rub it in gently. A little tip you can use is to rub a little more of the medication into the more-visual acne pimples because it will increase the drying which decreases the healing time (the point to healing acne is to dry it out). Just follow these directions and in 2 or 3 days you'll start seeing improvement without all the skin irritation and even making your acne worse! Use this product wisely and it can work for you no doubt
