I got the Cover FX Mint Glaze in the Sephora Favorites "Give me some lip" box about a year ago. I ADORE this treatment. At first I was using it as my over night gloss. It stays put and moisturizes all night long. I discovered later that this is the best lip primer I have ever used. Now it is the first product I put on after the shower, followed by my liner and gloss. Everything I put on my lip has a truer color and last longer. The only complaint I have is that no stores carry it, you have to order it online.

I think this is a great clear lip gloss. I use it as an everyday gloss when I don't want to wear any color, It's not too sticky, but it last on my lips for quite some time. I've worn it under lipsticks and works well as a base. It make colors like Siss apply like a dream. It's not perfect, but one of my favorites.

I've been a long time user of Cover FX products and was surprised they had phased out their Lip FX/gloss for this MintGlaze. Personally, it was a big mistake. It seems to me that they the LipFX primer (white) has been transformed from solid to liquid-goo and packaged into a bottle. I found it to be too sticky and with dry-chapped lips it did not moisturize my lips, instead it enhanced my chappy lips. In addition, with the peppermint though it smells nice it stung my lips.

For the price of $22 CDN I would not buy this again since it does not last as long as their LipFX. The thin brush and packaging was the most disappointing part because at the bottom of the bottle, the brush cannot reach it. I can't even use a q-tip to try and reach in because of the narrowness of the bottle.

If you have a chance to find their LipFX, stock up on it (I found mine off at http://hautelook.com in winter 2010)!

+Good moisturizer! My lips are super dry, so what's good for me is probably super awesome for other people normal~slightly dry lips. It adds a nice bit of shine if you wear it on its own, but it's sticky (probably 'cause it's supposed to "grab" onto lipstick and make it stay longer)

+ Nice clean taste and scent (peppermint).

+ I can't say that this amps the staying power of lippies, or stops colour from feathering, since I don't use it for those purposes. It helps fill in the lines, since it's really viscous. I find this helps with lighter lip colours that usually seeps into fine lines.

- Bad packaging. It's nice and simple, but the printed text rubbed off easily (then again, I keep it in my bag with scratchy keys). It'd be nicer if this came in a squeeze tube instead of the doefoot applicator. I can't reach the product at the bottom of the tube, and since I layer it on before REapplying my lippies, some colour is inevitably transferred to the applicator, which doesnt' look so appearling after a while.

-Expensive (It's over $20 CA).

I probably will buy this again, until I come across something better.

This is great at moisturizing your lips and keeping them hydrated. It smells and tastes very minty. The formula is quite thick and sticky, but you get used to it. As a primer it helps your lipstick apply smoother and fills in the wrinkles/fine-lines. It also works as a nice gloss over lipstick. I can now wear MAC Creme d'nude alone, with this either under or over. The only bad thing about this product is the applicator. The brush is horrible and when u pull it out of the tube the bristles splay all over the place! A doe foot or nice hygenic spatula applicator would have been nice. On the plus-side, the container is a nice, sleek, clear glass tube. I also think this may be preventing that gross white residue/buildup you sometimes get on the inner rim of the lips, and if that is the case I will be repurchasing this simply for that!

UPDATE/EDIT: minus one lippie b/c I've found any good slightly tacky lipgloss used UNDER lipstick works just as well as this and does the same thing
