The plastic brush is big so its hard to apply, makes you lashes very clumpy, and its hard to reach the inner lashes with it, the only way to use this mascara is with other mascaras ( to fix the damages it has done to your lashes) . Not recommended at all.

This mascara absolutely stinks. Literally. It smells a bit like that fishy glue you use for fabrics. YUCK.

this is probably the worst Mascara I have ever used. I thought I would give it a go for that false lash look on a night out...

It was a really weird square brush with plastic separators instead of bristles. as it only has around six or seven separators it automatically makes your lashes clump together and look hideous. It's impossible to reach the very outer or inner lashes because the brush is so mammoth!

On top of all this, it smudged all over my face after a couple of hours. A complete waste of money.

I recieved this mascara as a stocking filler from my parents, and i am very grateful! This mascara has worked brilliantly and makes my eyes stand out so much more. Don't you hate it when no matter how hard you try, your mascara just doesnt make your lashes seem thicker? well you wont have to look much further. No7 extravagant lashes is awesome and i highly recommend it if you want fuller, thicker, longer-looking, lushious lashes!:)

Brought this mascara with the intention to try something new for my bottom lashes out of curiosity (CG Lashblast volume and False lash diehard) browsing the cosmetic aisles, plus never tried any Boots products before. And I have to say I like it, on the fence about liking it more than CG. I used it on my tops and bottoms to see how it would work. When I first saw the brush I was a little scared, I love huge latex mascara brushes with a bunch of bristles but this one was entirely made up of squares, ??? Upon further investigation I noticed the little bristles in between the squares. It separates and defines lashes, although not individually but rather into groups (think spikes). Worked well, doesn't need to many coats good in one but could be built up without getting all clumpy looking. No weird smell. Last all day. No flaking :) All in all happy with this purchase, would buy again.

EDIT:
I used this mascara a few times on my bottom lashes and to blend my tops in with my false lashes. I'm more concerned about my bottom lashes though. The brush picks up way too much of the super wet formula and doesn't give me the definition, length or volume of my HG Lashblast volume, instead my lashes get stuck together, making them look like I don't have many. I was gonna start using my Lashblast again but the tube was dried out....:( so I came up with a plan, I washed the brush from my LB and put it inside of the Boots. Now it works way better because I have the brush I love. It fits perfectly and screws on tight. The formula although wet is no problem, the brush comes out covered but I just wipe it off on the sides of the tube. I now get the length, definition and volume I love! Just from changing the brush (Try this or disposable spoolies). I'm glad I tried this before I chucked it, The formula works its just the brush girls!

Wow! This mascara has received a lot of horrible reviews!
Here's my take on Extravagant Lashes...
It's okay. It's reasonably priced at $7.99. It does not flake or smudge which is a HUGE plus for me, because nearly every mascara I use either flakes or smudges. Also, this mascara washes off effortlessly. Many reviewers have complained that the mascara smells 'fishy'. I don't believe it's the mascara itself, but the rubbery brush that has the strange smell as I do not smell the product once it is applied to my lashes. This mascara is not volumizing in the least bit, nor does it lengthen my lashes. I bought the mascara in black, but it does not have the dark, sooty blackness that I want in a mascara. It's more like a dark grey shade. Actually if you are an individual that prefers more of a natural look in a mascara, this product would serve that purpose very well. Since I have short, thin lashes and crave dark, long, lush lashes this does not work well for me. I tend to actually like a larger handle on mascara, however, the brush itself is way too big and awkward to apply to the lashes with ease. This is by far not the worst mascara that I have ever purchased. But since I like a more dramatic look, I will not be re-purchasing.

I was so surprised to see all the negative reviews for this mascara that I almost didn't write one myself - figuring I was the freak that couldn't see how flawed this product is.

So I'm just gonna say it - reactions be damned - I heart this mascara! First of all I have naturally curly lashes that pile and twirl around eachother plus they're short to boot, so I'm always looking for a mascara that will lengthen and pull out my natural curl, I guess I have some volume already because volumizing does nothing for me.

What I want is long, separated lashes, with a slight curl, that are inky black - a dramatic look. This boots mascara was the 1st product I've ever tried from this brand and I have to say I'm very impressed.

Okay so number 1. The brush is rectangular - it literally has 4 sides! I'd never seen anything like it. But for some reason it grasps my lashes and holds them until the swipe is complete - creating that length I was talking about.

number 2. The consistency of the product itself is perfect for building until you reach the right amount of drama or everday gorgeous that your looking for, because it's wet but not runny and I've learned through trial and error that building on mascara that is already dried is tough.

number 3. The macara fans my lashes beautifully. I've read a few reviews that said it was clumpy. But that's where the brush comes in - the bristles can work as a comb to separate any lashes that may have clumped together.

And finally - the packaging. It's simple black with a curved shape toward the top - it's elegant and it has a heaviness to it that seems to say, take me seriously I'm the best you'll ever use.

Brush doesnt provide a clump free lash and is somewhat bulky, I cant wait for it to finish so i can move onto another brand. I only bought it as they were giving away a free No7 eyelash pallett

Ugh. This brush is so bizarre. It's square. And it's separated into six or so "teeth", so it pushes all your lashes together into these unattractive spikes. It makes my lashes so clumpy! I spend more time separating my lashes with a lash comb than actually applying this mascara. I feel like I have to use it now that I bought it though. I really hate this stuff.

it stinks, literally and figuratively. the smell is annoying and it just clumps my lashes together, no lifting, no curling, just a clumpy, wet, stinky mess. i had to redo my whole makeup because i just couldn't stand it.

AND i spent over 12 pounds for nothing as I can't take it back (bought it while i was on holiday in the uk)

This is easily the worst mascara I have ever used. I bought this at a Target store after reading positive reviews about a different No7 mascara. I bought this one instead because I needed volume more than length and thought it was the way to go. What utter disappointment. The brush is horrendous and clumps one's lashes into about seven gooey sections. It also takes forever to dry and I ended up with so much product on my face that I looked like a seven year old playing dress up. I'm binning it and buying a different one tomorrow. Probably won't buy another No7 product, positive reviews or no.

This is the WORST mascara I have ever used! And I have tried a fair few. There are so many bad things about it I could be here all day writing about them.
Pros:- None.
Cons: - Disgusting fishy smell
- Wand is far too big which makes it really hard to use
- Is very wet
- Clumps lashes together in a wet mess

Basically, it did nothing for my lashes at all apart from making them look like a big mess. I got this at a discount as I had thr £5 off voucher but nevertheless I am still annoyed that I even had to pay anything for this. I could seriously buy a £2 mascara that does a better job than this. Do not buy this mascara, you will be very disappointed.

I was surprised by the 'square' clumpy brush on this mascara and did wonder how it was going to work, however, whatever the physics behind it.. it does.. work that is. I LOVE it! I prefer volume over length and that's what I get with this but as a previous reviewer mentioned, it is rather like a wet gelling together of lashes (definitely not clumpy though). I don't find the wand difficult to use at all, and even coat my bottom lashes with this, although I do have to wipe off the excess with a cotton bud.

On the other hand, my friend, who had commented on how fab my eyes looked with this mascara, was not at all happy when she bought and tried it.. it did not work for her at all. So, I guess it is not for everyone but it is definitely my HG of mascaras. Plus I have quite sensitive eyes and usually get some kind of irritation from most mascaras but not with this one.

At around 13-14 quid (Dhs70) it's not dirt cheap but certainly not the most expensive out there either..

I'll keep this short because otherwise I'll explode with hatred - alright packaging and price, however clumps lashes massively and genuinely smells of fish (at least my tube) and really did not do anything good for my lashes apart from make them very glossy and black. Shame about it giving me about six eyelashes!

This is, without question, the worst mascara I have ever tried. I would go so far as to say it is the worst make up product I have tried, period. We were away for a weekend and I managed to forget my regular mascara, so I stopped off at a small branch of Boots where there weren't too many make up choices apart from a No7 counter. I asked the sales assistant for advice and she recommended this mascara. For reference, my lashes are long but fine and I need volume from a mascara. I wasn't sure about the brush, but she assured me it was amazing.

I tried it that day and thought it was awful. Because the brush is just basically a piece of rubber with about eight square shaped sections on it, instead of individually coating lashes like a brush would, it simply clumps your lashes together so you look like you have about six really fat eyelashes. I tried it the following day wiping of as much excess product as possible (very wasteful) and the effect was somewhat reduced but still unattractive. Basically the problem is that the brush is not designed to properly coat individual lashes, so instead of receiving full, volumised and separated lashes, you just get block deposits of product. It also takes an age to dry which is hugely impractical. Undeterred, I set about reading reviews about how to apply it online (all the while thinking how ridiculous that was, to need instructions about how to use a mascara because it's *that* bad). I tried different methods and also used a lash comb after each use to try and get a semi-reasonable look. The only think I didn't do was try it with a different mascara wand--several people have mentioned that the wand is at fault, not to actual mascara itself, which I am inclined to agree with. The wand is awful. After a week or so of failed attempts (hey, at least I tried) I took it back to my local Boots store. It's the first make up product I have ever returned due to poor performance. I told the sales assistant there of my experience, and not only was she was completely unsurprised, she admitted that they had had numerous returns for this item. I notice on the Boots website it has 2 out of 5 stars from customer reviews, so I wonder how long it will last.

Okay, so when i first used this product i wouldve given it 1/5. I found it really hard to use and most of the formula just went on my skin. I also thought that the brush was just a gimmick and was pointless. My HG is rimmel extra super lash (for everyday) , however i was in the mood for really volumised lashes a while ago and i applied this mascara on top of the rimmel i already had on. Wow, the volume i got with this was immense! It is quite a wet formula and kinda groups (not clumps) lashes together. I think this mascara just needs another underneath it to define the lashes etc. and to reach the bottom of lashes, because this is kinda tricky to use. I just use this now to add thickness to my lashes after applying rimmel (which kinda lacks in that department) :):)

This has become my new HG mascara. The brush is insane, and as long as you hold the wand at the right angle, your lashes will be amazing. I have never had a problem with the wand hitting my skin, or it clumping.

This mascara is awful. I love No7 make up and their mascaras but this one is rubbish. The brush is far too big, I can hardly get it on my lashes. I wasted my No7 voucher on this, I'll go back to the stay perfect mascara.

Worst mascara I've ever tried. Brush is completely unweildy - ended up with more product on my face than on my lashes. Have thrown this in the bin. Total waste of money. Disappointing, as No 7 mascaras are generally really good.
