Paris is my first and was my only Rouge Coco lipstick. I like the pigmentation of this lipstick, however I prefer the properties that Rouge Allure lipstick possesses.

Sheered down, Paris is both beautiful and still luscious, a cherry-like pinked blue-tone red. This is definitely not warm, unless your skin manages to pull that way. Full on, Paris is a happy, red that is not bright to the point where it's menacing, nor is it so deep that it's only a night owl.

I find this wearable in both day, and night. However, you may find me as the type to wear both smoky eyes and a red lip in the night. (With black hair, I'm pretty partial to darker lips when my hair is any other shade.... But that is how I am.)

I give this a 5/5. The only con is that sometimes it leaves lips a little dry. However, I find that I mix this lipstick often with a clear gloss, for that high shine look (Victoria Secret Minty Shine Gloss, due to the minty flavour.)

The wear isn't the longest, there is a little slip. However, it wears off evenly without a liner. There is no patchiness with application, which I found with the old Hydrabase line. And that is more than I can ask for.

(Canadian price is around $38 when I purchased it, and the packaging felt very sturdy, and heavy. The new one I recently purchased felt much lighter, however I purchased the new one in Malaysia. Not sure if there is a change with production.)

Paris is my new HG lipstick! The texture is smooth and creamy, and the color is just amazing. A blue based red, it remains red on me with just a hint of bright pink to it. It brightens up the entire face, and looks remarkable with neutral eyes and very natural cheek color. I purchased 2 of them, and I am so glad I did. It is a bit expensive to stockpile, but I haven't liked a color this much for years and years.

Love, love this color! I am an NW45 in MAC and it can be difficult for me to find the perfect shade and the right texture - somewhat creamy - not matte, not shimmery or pearly.

The SA at Nordstrom went out of her way to help me find this lovely shade. We started at YSL, went to Mercier and on and on. When we got to Chanel, we tried two or three shades until this one. Just perfect! Really brightens up my skin tone and is not too dark. I have a lot of red and orange in my skin and colors can be tricky if they are too warm or too cool.

Expensive but worth it!

A true retro, pin-up girl red. I really like this lipstick. It lasted quite a long time. I am almost out of this tube, which says a lot about this lipstick because I never run out of lipstick! I love that this lipstick can be layered over gloss for a super sexy "glamour" look. A true classic.

I very rarely use a lipstick all the way down to the bottom of the tube, but this, I'm almost out, and would definitely be buying it again. It's a very luscious red, glides on easily, and lasts quite a long time without drying my lips. I wear this during the day at work, and for evening occasions. It looks great night or day. I need to use a lip liner with this though, otherwise I get a bit of bleeding, but I would expect this of a lipstick that feels quite moisture rich.

Very beautiful shade of red. I can't quite get away with it during the daytime, as it's pretty intense. The formula glides on easily and is moisturizing. I wear it straight from the tube....no liner, no primer, or moisturizer. I have had no issues with bleeding or feathering. My husband really loves it, so I'll definitely repurchase.

This Rouge Coco is the best I've tried. I am a red lipstick addict...I have more than I can count. However, this is truly one of the most flattering, wearable reds I've ever tried, with one of the most comfortable and long-wearing formulas. Paris is a fairly deep blue-based red on me, with just a tiny touch of the pink that others have mentioned. On me, it really is a RED more than anything. It's got the blue base and is toned down just enough that I can wear it during the day, but it's certainly a true red and makes quite a statement. It sets off my extremely pale skin beautifully.

Aside from the fantastic color, the formula is wonderful as well. Paris applies smoothly and has a good deal of pigment...opaque coverage with one coat, with deeper color after a second coat. The formula is moisturizing and stays that way for quite some time. In addition, as the color wears down, it leaves a stain and wears perfectly evenly. No "rim" around the mouth! I only have to reapply a couple of times a day, so wear time is good, and I have had no problems with bleeding, migrating, or smudging.

This has become my go-to lipstick for many, many reasons, and I actually plan to buy another to carry in my second bag. Well done, Chanel!

Paris is a bright, rosey, nearly fuchsia pink on me (NW15), just like it was for Sandra Bullock on Oscar night. This is an eye-catcher for sure, more so than even Cambon which I previously thought was the brightest color in the whole range (albiet Cambon IS much more original, imo). I do like my bright pinks, but have to be careful as this color can easily wear me instead of the other way around. Also this is the highest maintenance RC that I own - lip pencil is not optional. For those reasons, I tend not reach for it. I had it listed for swap but changed my mind because it wears down to a really lovely and even stain.

I will probably wear this nearly exclusively as a stain which seems a bit of a shame since the RC formula is so nice and satiny, but I am hoping I will be able to use it in all of its full glory on special occasions.

Perfection!
I really didn't want to buy this, but took a chance and I'm glad. It looked too pink/garish in swatches and celebrity pictures, but on me it's a lovely cherry-pink-red that doesn't pull too pink or too red. The formulation is better in this shade than others RCs. Paris is one of the few RCs that's as pigmented as Hydrabase reds and just as long-wearing. It's more moisturising than Hydrabase too --so they really have a winner here. (Although very moist, most Rouge Cocos are less pigmented and not as long-lasting as Hydrabase -- I'm glad to find an exception)
It stained my lips (couldn't remove the stain with Lancome Bifacil). Gabrielle is a very ho-hum red, pretty but not terribly unique. Paris really shines.
Great line for my neutral-warm complexion, most shades don't pull too warm or too cool. This colour is one I'd repurchase.

FInally a happy, blue based pink red I can wear both colorwise and comfort. Nars Funny Face was my HG in color but my lips became dry and a bit wrinkled as the day wore on. Not a good thing when wearing such an important color. Paris is happy, bright without being offensive and very comfortable. It's about time, Chanel. Every girl needs a perfect red in her arsenal that wears elegant and lovely for evening as well as daytime.

Update: I do love this color but I just cannot get this red to work in terms of consistency. Shows every line and over an extended day, it does get uncomfortable. Lovely color.

I am only lukewarm about this product. The color is a true red on me...not too blue or brown based, so I imagine just about anyone can pull off the color if they want a bright, clear red. I wasn't thrilled with the wear. While it is farily moisturising, I found I had to put on two layers to get an even coating...if that makes sense. It also smudges like crazy...not good for bright red. I would work around that if I loved the color, but I don't. If I'm going to wear red lips, I better like the result--or why bother? For reference, I'm pale, cool toned, dark hair.

A blue-based red that is very flattering on my very warm skin. Paris is a knock out color with a creamy finish and a slight glossy sheen.

This is my 3rd favorite (after Shu Uemura RD 165 and Guerlain Rouge G Geisha) statement red lipstick. I've seen this shade worn by Sandra Bullock at the Oscars and she looked stunning, her MUA even used a dab of this as a cheek color! Paris is the kind of lipstick that you wear on a night out or if you have a very romantic date. Very sexy.

The formula, as we all know about Rouge Cooc is very moisturizing and this has a good staying power.

Definitely worth the splurge.

Lovely color which changes on me from a medium neutral red to a dark pinky coral (I am fair with ash blond hair and hazel eyes), and wear is medium; you will have to reapply after coffee or a meal. Texture is pleasantly creamy but not greasy. I love the case because the top does not come off, but then again for 30 USD, it should be good. This will be my go-to shade whenever I want a red lip. Expensive, but well worth it.

This is a great lipstick. I have rouge coco in mademoiselle and I hate it. It's drying and the color, while supposedly universal, makes me look absolutely putrid. Paris, on the other hand, has that rare quality of being a non-drying stain with one swipe, or a full-fledged vixen with 3 swipes. 2 swipes and you are in between Lolita and sex kitten, lol. But anyway, this color really is beautiful, unusual, and definitely is the one used on Sandra Bullock for the oscars. And apparently, there was a write up in Prevention magazine for it, as the lady waiting at the counter behind me to get it, asked if I had discovered it in there. Granted, she was about 70, but are you kidding me? So I guess that goes to show it's a color for all ages.

A fantastic pinky, cool red. Makes teeth really white, very flower power colour. Will go great with cool whites on a summer night. Very excited about the colour, love the formula, love the staining, doesn't bleed, doesn't disappear, not ring around the lips, doesn't smell (at least to me), feels nice, makes my lips look full, best if applied with a brush I find, plan to buy many more.

wow
Finally Chanel made a great lipstick!!
compared to their regular lipstick this new formula is very lightweight and emollient.
Very shiny, long wearing (normally Chanel LS bleed like crazy)
the packaging is very oldstyle, it's very similar to old Hydrabase LS - I loved the sleek line of Rouge Allure LS.
It smells of rose (very guerlain) but just on application, after it has no taste or fragrance.
It seems to have a stain effect, that is very nice in a red LS because it goes away evenly.

Paris is a gorgeous raspberry red, slightly leaning on the fuchsia side. It looks quite vampy in the tube but don't be scared by it because it applies a lot lighter. It is definitely a workable red for those who are colour shy.

The Rouge Coco formula is very hydrating and creamy. It applies well and evenly. It has a very faint smell of rose. When it fades it leaves a really pretty pink stain.
