I live this product as it has seriously helped me with my acne scaring. The key to using this product is to give it time to work, all the sun damage and scarring didn't happen over night so it is not going to disappear over night. It is also important to use a sun screen while everyday while you use the product of the sun will completely counteract anything the serum is doing for your skin. A week, two weeks, or 3 weeks isn't long enough to see the results. Clinique's clinical results attached to the product are a 1-2 lightening in your discoloration is 4 weeks and a 4-6 lightening in 12 weeks. I found that is worked even faster but it is all dependent on the type of discoloration you are treating and the severity. It works!!!! Believe me, I'm a cheapskate and I buy it every 2-3 months.

I use this product once in the morning and once at night. i absolutely LOVE it and would not go a day without it. i had moderate acne and ive been getting it under control lately. i dont believe that u must treat your acne and THEN treat ur scars, i believe u can do both at the same time to be honest. ive been using this product for a long time, im on my second bottle right now.
If you use this for a couple or few weeks you will barely notice a difference on your acne scars. ive been using this for MONTHS, and i have noticed a BIG difference. its hard to notice on a week by week basis, but if u stick to it you will see amazing results. the thing with this product is that u must be PATIENT!! if i had to base it even by one month of use i would disregard it as well... but overtime it really works. my skin use to look like i had chicken pox all over it with the amount of acne scars i had, i was beginning to seriously forget the actual colour of my skin. it was so difficult and frustrating for me to try to cover it up with make up everyday. my skin is tan so the acne marks were soooooo dark and noticeable. but today my skin looks like ive only had a couple of breaks out here and there.
it says that u also have to use a moisturizer with spf15 or above. im not sure if everyone actually does this, and maybe that could be why they are not seeing results. but right now im using the neutrogena oil-free non-comodogenic moisturizer with spf 15 in it. i use this every morning and night mixed with a drop of jojoba oil, then i wait a minute until it absorbs into my skin, and i use the clinique dark spot corrector over it. if im going out, i wait until that dries then i use my primer to start my make up application. I love it because its a serum so its very light and absorbs very fast into ur skin, but its not drying.
ive seen some reviews by people saying not to waste ur money. it is pricey yes, but it also may work differently for different skin types (mine is acneprone, and very oily). it may work for some and not for others. so i would say if u really are desperate to get rid of acne scars, like i was, give it a try, be patient, and make sure u use an spf moisturizer!!

This product has many mixed reviews. and I've been using this product from past 6months.
Key is be patient. It takes time but does work eventually. It's very pricey so i bought the samples instead and tried on my 3years old acne scaring areas only rather than on entire face.
Trust me it faded my marks a lot. 3 months ago i had a pus pimple on my cheek and it left a 2penny sized mark on my cheek I used the product on regular basis and now my mark is very dull. SO IT WORTH BUYING.
HOWEVER i got discoloration around my mouth and it DID NOT DO ANYTHING TO THAT AREA. I found that very weird. =/

Used a generous sample of this serum once or twice daily for three weeks and noticed no change whatsoever on my sun damage/zit scarring. There was also no general improvement on overall skin tone or evening of tone. Maybe my skin is just stubborn, maybe I need to use the product for 6 weeks instead of 3. In any case, based on the sample they provided (which I would hope would be enough to give results such that you could decide to purchase the full size) I'm not impressed. The most that can be said for it is that it didn't break me out or irritate me. I use other Clinique products, but will be passing on this one.

I don't feel this was worth the money -mainly because it didn't do a thing to lighten any of my acne scars. I went through a whole bottle because I liked the smooth, silky texture and how it filled in my pores like a primer. It actually kind of reminded me of the hourglass veil mineral primer. Anyway, I used a whole bottle, and then I got another bottle from my mom (she was using it with no results and gave up) and noticed that the two bottles actually differed in texture -the one I received from my mom was really gritty, and when you applied it, it formed white pills everywhere -gross! I definitely do not recommend this.

This product did not work for me at all. It claims to even out your skin and get rid of hyperpigmentation if you use it twice a day with a sunscreen. I did exactly that and saw no results. The active (lightening) ingredient is a complex that mostly consists out of vitamin C, and the packaging is good enough to keep the vitamin C stable, but somehow it did not work on my skin. I used two bottles of 30 ml each and it had no effect on my skin at all.
A lot of people say good things about this corrector, both online and offline and I can also see why people love the product as the consistency is very light and apparently for some people this stuff really works. I think if you use a sunscreen daily and sensibly you will see the exact same changes, so for me personally, this was definitely not worth the money of two bottles.
Brightening/lightening skincare is very specific and personal, so I think if you want to get rid of hyperpigmentation or acne scarring you have to try out different dark spot correctors in order to find out which ingredients are working for your skin.

Don't waste your hard earned money! Has only made my skin worse, breakouts galore since I've been using it! What a crock! So Clinique, are you going to stand by your product & refund me???

I find that it does take a while for the product to produce some sort of effect on the skin. At first, my skin became rough, but after a few days, that roughness went away and my skin was much smoother than before. I didn't notice any changes to dark spots, but I did notice that it made my pores appear smaller, thus, making my smooth appear smoother.
PROS: Evened out skin, made pores appear smaller, got rid of some blackheads
CONS: Too expensive for what it says it should do (make skin smoother) and doesn't do (lighten dark spots).
I find that cheaper products like Avon Anew Clinical Absolute Even Multi Tone Corrector produces the same effect, or better. (I bought the avon product on amazon for approx $9 shipped.) I used the avon product on one half of my face and the clinique product on the other half. Either both of these worked the same, or I am just imagining improvements. I believe it is the former.

I am on my second bottle hoping that this will actually work on my dark (I think sun) spots but it did not... It works on the new pimple marks like i can see an effect in 1week. On the other hand, for the old pimple marks, I am not seeing any improvement. I also can't control the pump and some of the pumped product gets on the inside of the lid (don't know if others notices it).. I will stop buying this product and will try a cheaper one.

Don't waste your money. This product is so expensive, and although it didn't make my skin any worse, it did absolutely nothing to improve my skin tone. I used it twice daily until the bottle ran out, and also had 2 little sample sizes of it i used as well, it took maybe 2 months for the product to run out completely (including my sample products), and i was careful not to overuse. The best thing that came from this product, was massaging a moisturizing lotion onto my skin, and the only improvement i got just came from the time i gave to this product, after 2 months my evening skintone was only due to time, because PIH lighens on its own over time. I would NEVER purchase this product again, its a complete waste of money

I wasted what I think was about $96AUD. I used this every day and night until the whole bottle was used up and it did nothing. It didn't even prevent new pigmentation from pimples forming. Trying out garnier's dark spot corrector now, it's only $10AUD so it won't hurt that much.

I bought this a couple of years ago and just recently found it buried at the bottom of my stash. There is a reason why it is at the bottom of my stash -- it is horrible and I hate using this product. I have acne-prone combo skin and I initially bought this hoping it would even out my skintone and help with some of the small scars that blemishes have left behind -- not only did it not help, but I swear everytime I try to use this over the last year or so, my pores get clogged and I get greasier and I break-out. The texture of this is also gross, it is a thick serum texture that feels siliconey on the skin and then when it dries, it leaves behind a tacky film. There is no perfumey fragrance to this, but it also doesn't smell pleasant -- it smells like chemicals. Even worse, this is not cheap, I remember the 30ml (1 oz) pump bottle I have cost me over $60 CDN before tax. Maybe drier skin gals would have more luck with this but this is definitely not a good product for oily or acne-prone skin. I should have read reviews here before picking this up, this was a total waste of money and I will definitely not be purchasing this ever again.

I purchased this product a couple years ago and I am sorry to say it did not deliver. I bought the product in hopes of correcting an uneven skin tone instead I broke out. It did nothing but clog my pores. I also thought it was quite greasy and the smell was much to strong for my taste. I was very disappointed for I had high hopes for this product after reading several reviews and prior research. It is not as pricey as other products I have purchased in the past but it is not as inexpensive as products that I have used that performed much better. I have since used products at lower price points with significantly better results. This product is all pomp with no circumstance :-/

This product is a total waste of money. If you think this will do much about your dark spots, it won't. I bought this because my mom had always been a big fan of Clinique skin care products, so I thought this would work, or at least reduce my dark spots. It didn't. It was a big disappointment, and obviously I wont repurchase this.

Used up one bottle and was onto my second one. It does help renew my skin which is great for when I use a harsh spot treatment for my pimples but otherwise it does nothing for my skin.

My bio oil did a much after job at getting rid of my dark spots than this. Too much packaging, hides the fact that there isn't much in the bottle. Very poor.
