Perfect substitute for stupid MAC Lustre Syrup, which wears off in 30 minutes, at most. This lasts much longer (a little staining), and it's a pretty darned close match. Gorgeous color, even with NARS Orgasm blush and slightly pink-coral sweater. I'm NW20, very dark brown hair and eyes, pigmented lips. Absolutely love it and will stock up.

A beautiful darker pink color with a hint of purple makes this a very unique lipstick.
I bought this at Big Lots for $2 on a whim because I really liked the color and I was pleasantly surprised with how wonderful it is. Where this color may not work on everyone, it is worth a try if you find it cheap somewhere, or even in a different shade. It is wonderfully creamy and does not dry the lips out like so many other lipsticks.
Thumbs up!

This lipstick goes on a bit too shimmery for me. However, it feels nice and hydrating without being too sticky. So although the color is a bit much on my NC 30-NC40 skin, after it fades a little bit it seems ok. I think it was worth the buy. I’d probably buy more of these Color Burst products from Revlon again. It has cute packaging and I love how the "Revlon" is imprinted into the actual lipstick itself.

I'm still a bit on the fence about this colour. I've worn it a couple of times and while it feels beautiful on I'm not completly sold on the hue against my skin tone. It does have a hint of purple on me so perhaps I'll stay away from purple hues for now.
Pros: Again with most of the colour burst this is such a lovely product so creamy and the packaing is really brilliant.
Cons: The product is not moisturising so will show up any dryness on your lips.
While I would LOVE to give rave reviews of the colourburst line I'm still not overly convinced. But that being said there are SO many different colours to try so I may just be convinced yet.

This is one of my fave Color Burst Lipsticks it is so creamy and the color is so preety! It looks great on my skin without a lipliner cause I hate lipliner and lipstick looks (my opinion) I much rather throw on a lipstick and go! Love this color I cant stress it enough! This is such a nice lilac color with a blue undertone.

This color does not work on me at all.....and I never have a problem with pink shades. It looks muddy.
I was hoping with the name lilac that it would have a hint of a purplish tone, but it didn't.

Although this isn't exactly cheap for a drugstore brand, it performs as well as high end lipsticks. Rich, smooth texture, admirable staying power, but the best quality is the super-saturated pigmentation. There is just so much color, making a little go a long way. It wears evenly, avoiding the dreaded lip outline, and blotting when applying makes it last even longer. My only complaint is the rounded, paddle shape of the lipstick. Due to the defined shape of my lips, I prefer lipsticks with a sharp point to allow for accuracy. I can work with this one, it's just not as easy to apply in a hurry. I really love the color swatch on the lid, making selecting the shade I'm after much easier than trying to read a label.
This particular shade is a pretty light purplish mauve. The name lilac implies a blue-toned lavender, but while definitely in the cool color family, this leans more toward pink. I have very fair skin and dark hair, so this light of a shade doesn't work well for everyday. But it looks fabulous with a dark plum or classic chestnut eye.

i picked this up on clearance at CVS.. the color is amazingly pigmented, and it feels really smooth.. the only issue i have, is the color does not work for me at all.. i am very pale (warm ivory just to give you an idea) and this was way too purple.. the swatches above, which i went by, were more on the pinkish side.. i was hoping it would have looked like that on me, but sadly it didn't..

I picked this up at CVS during their clearance sale. I honestly didn't look it up before I bought it, just decided for the price is was worth it to add to my collection. I have swatched it and played with it and was never super impressed, it was a gorgeous color..Just didn't work for me! I had brought some b2mac stuff back today and picked up two lipsticks, one being MACs Syrup. I was looking and it and it reminded me of this, so I went into my collection and pulled it out. Side by side they look identical, and swatched they almost look identical (Revlon's pulls a little more purpleish) I tried them on and Lilac is a little bit brighter then Syrup, but still close enough. So if anyone is looking for a cheaper alternative to MACs Syrup try this out! I definitely have come to love this a little more now!

I don't like this shade on me. Maybe it is because I have pigmented lips and the finish kind of looks frosty on my lips. And if there is anything I cannot stand is frosty lips on me. I frankly hate it. I might have to franken it to make it work for me.

I like this. It comes out to be a medium purple-mauve tone one me and looks more natural than I thought it would. This isn't at all a "scary purple" and can definitely be worn for everyday. It has a good amount of a pink tone to it. I normally like something a bit lighter and more nude looking, which is why I gave this 4 lippies. I thought this was going to be more along the lines of the lipstick version of their lilac pastelle gloss. Otherwise it's very pretty and I think this would look fantastic on ladies with medium or darker skin.

With such good reviews I didn't hesitate to snag this up at CVS on clearance, but I just can't pull this color off whatsoever. From looking at the pictures it looks more bright pinky/purpley and mine doesnt. My tube and the color pay off is similar to the first three pictures posted, except even more frosty/glitterly and way more of a wierd purpley color, not really muavey at all. It brings back memories of those cheap ugly colors they throw into little girl makeup kits. I think if you are darker, or more medium toned this would likely look good on you. For reference I am somewhere between NC10 and NC15, blonde hair, blue eyes, medium pigmented lips.

Three things prompted me to buy this particular lipstick. The first being the great reviews on colorburst lipsticks in general. The second being that I purchased Revlon's super lustrous lipstick in Berry Haute approximately one week earlier. The third being that I bought Wet 'n' Wild's Petal Pusher palette and was looking for a slightly subtle berry/purple toned lipstick to compliment the eyelooks I have been creating. I generally LOVE bright lipstick, but I also like soft pink/mauve tones. I really liked how Berry Haute accented my lips but wanted something slightly less intense, so I chose lilac. When I got home and tried the color on, I was more than impressed. First of all I was suprised by the pink undertone of the color. This makes the shade immensly easy to wear and flattering. The color is a luster/sheen. The color is smooth and easy to apply from the tube. I would personally market the formula as "moon drops lite." I have a fuller buttom lip and a "cupie" top lip and sometimes have problems with lipsticks migrating to my cupids bow or to the ridge below my lower lip. This product did not do that. The color very much reminds me of the inner bud of the pink lilac bush we have in our back yard. To me it seems very similar to loreal's color of hope but more flattering and wearable. It is an attractive soft sophisticated, polished color. I enjoy that the tube has a "color dot" on it donoting it's color so that if you own more than one product from the same line you can easily tell which color you are grabbing. The tube is very attractive, and seems high end as compared to other products in it's price range. I also like that the tube has some "heft" to it as I tend to keep my lipstick in my pocket and find that this helps keep them from falling out. The cap comes off easily, but does not give me the impression that the cap would come off unintentionally. The wear is average to slightly beyond average before needing a touch up. I have wore this color with cool toned makeup looks as well as warm toned makeup looks and it looks appropriate with either one. There is no strong smell to the lipstick, it feels moisturizing, smooth, and has a weightless comfort to it. It did not dry out my lips. I encourage people with fair to mid medium toned skin to try this color out. If you are darker tone than that, I think it might become more nude on you. Definately a color to try out if you are a mauve toned lipstick lover.
I have been a member of MUA for eons and this product impressed me so much, that it encouraged me to write my first review!

This color is a soft lilac with neutral soft rosy pink undertones so anyone can really wear this shade.
I love the formula, so soft, so moisturizing. Its also not glaring shimmery or frost. It has a slight sheen interest to it but its appropriate for those of us who don't want to look teeny boperish.
The case is beautiful and prevents the lipstick from getting smushed into the top.
I got this on clearance so I'm not sure if its discontinued from all stores...

This is one of the prettiest lipsticks I own, which surprises me to no end. It's very warm and springy, yet not too over the top or crazy-bright. It is wonderfully flattering on my very pale/neutral skin. My only real qualm with this lipstick is that I wish the formula lasted a little longer. Why did they have to discontinue this shade? It's heavenly!

I got this for 75% off at CVS and when I first saw the name was expecting it to be purple. It is a lot more pink than purple but it does have a purple sheen. Overall I love this color a lot!

I purchased Lilac along with Hazelnut, Sienna, and Coral at CVS on sale for $2.37 each at 75% off. I am very impressed with the Revlon ColorBurst line. The lipsticks are very smooth & creamy and leaves my lips feeling soft. The feel of this lipstick reminds me of lip balm. Lilac is a very subtle and romantic color that will look great worn year round. I'm MAC NW43 for reference.
