Pop Art Pink, Mademoiselle, and Virgin Orchid are my personal faves from Essie's selection of pale milky pinks. This color gives that sheer, crisp, clean look to the nails, and the pink tint it gives is a bit brighter than, say, OPI's Bubble Bath. This isn't a whitened pink at all. This is a 3-coater for me (I nave nubbins, so if I ever apply more than 3 coats, any polish looks too 'raised' and looks a bit thick and lumpy on my nails, and yes, I let it dry between coats. :) This color isn't something I would personally reach for as a French manicure shade, as I find it just a little bright for that. Lasts up to a week with basecoat and topcoat. This is a nice quality basic to have in any collection. I will definitely be repurchasing.

Pop Art Pink is a nice, classy, clean looking pink. I use it when I want to do a french manicure, or to get that 'mannequin hands' look because my skin is pale with pink undertones. Some people are complaning about the amount of coats it takes to reach opacity with this polish, but I really like the watery and sheer consistancy. It allows the nail lines to show through, and to me it looks really nice. You do have to use a gentle stroke to get this polish to apply evenly, though, which is why I gave it a four. It's nothing unique or special, but it looks cute and that's what matters. ;)

Pop Art Pink is one of Essies best pink polishes. You can wear it anytime and it looks very cute on every skintone.

Formula: Very nice, on the watery side
Opacity: Two - Three Coats for full opacity, but two coats look good already
No bubbles, no streaks AT ALL, just a little bit sheer so you need more coats.
Lasting time: a couple of days with Essie Good 2 Go, a week with Essie G2G and Essie First Base Coat without a single chip.

A cute, light pink perfect for a nice pastel look! However, it does take three coats to replicate the color in the bottle, and even then it is still a little streaky. That's why it's only getting a four out of five. The brush is good and the packaging nice, but the color isn't very opaque. But, it's still a good product for the money.

This is my 2nd or 3rd bottle. This is great for a fake french gel manicure.

To get the look of fake nails, and avoid any streaking, use this on the bottom and then ROCK CANDY ON TOP. Rock candy blends it in and the combination is awesome - it's a fake acrylic nail / soft pink color. This is my bi-weekly go-to manicure choice - it's quick and I know it will always turn out great!

My first impression of thIs was that it was just so difficult to get an opaque finish. I'd applied 3 coats and it was still a little patchy. I sort of gave up and just applied some glitter polish on it which made me think that it would make a rather decent base polish. Secondly, the wear time is pretty amazing. I've never worn any polish this long without any chips ever, so that really hikes up the score.

This is the first Essie polish I tried, as I usually purchase OPI. I really like the rectangular shape of the bottle with the little bead inside of it to keep the polish smooth. This polish wasn't streaky for me, though it did take three layers to accomplish the same color as the polish appears through the bottle. I'm pretty used to that. I do like this color but won't repurchase just because I am giving it away in a swap and because there are so many more shades of pink to try. This one isn't anything spectacular, just cute and nice.

So I had my nails done with a gorgeous pink called Mod About You by OPI and I looooooooved it.But when I went to buy it myself, I was informed that it was discontinued. I started to look for something similar and finally found Pop Art Pink by Essie. The color is almost identical! YAY!
The downside is that is very sheer and streaky and does require several coats to make it worthwhile, as others have said.... Essie does put out pretty nail polishes, but getting this one to be opaque would be the biggest criticism that I have. Its REALLY difficult without making my nails look a little home done.
Since I already have the bottle, I'm sure that I will continue to use it. I still get compliments on it when I'm out and wearing it on my nails, and its still a really nice color with decent wear time.

The colour of this is sweet, but it's so streaky it's not even funny. I keep trying to be very careful when I apply it, because I want to like it... but it's no use. Would not buy this again (not that I'm going to go through this bottle, though, hahah).

I absolutely adore this colour! Let me start by saying that I love sheer pinks and neutrals which I know is not everyone's cup of tea. This shade is nothing unique among the other Essies, but for me it's the perfect pink - not too cool toned, perfect pastel colour.
It also wears like iron on me, on my 6th day of wearing it I got my first little chip, other than that it was perfect. The brush is also very good, I usually like the big OPI brushes but the application went well with this. Only downside to this polish is that, as pretty much all sheers, it will streak at least a tad bit, but considering the overall quality, it's definitely worth haivng in your collection.

This is probably my favorite of the Essie light pinks. It has more pink to it than mademoiselle or ballet slippers and is less white. I use it over the Essie ridge filling base coat and it goes on easily. With one coat it is pretty natural looking, and with a second coat it becomes a little more opaque - very pretty. Not a very unique color but one that I always find myself reaching for.

this is quite sheer. need at least 3 coats for semi opaqueness... application is okay.. not streaky. but the reason i love this so much is the color. it seems like a generic pink, but this looks great against my skintone. it's not too cool toned and not too warm. it's become one of my favourite pinks... and i actualyl like that it isn't completely opaque or white-out looking. it's very soft looking yet still fun.

When I received this from America, I initially thought that it would give me a sheer look, which I was not keen on. I love my nail colours to be opaque shiny jelly-like. However as I layered on the coats - which took at about 4 layers - I reached my desired opacity. It is day 2 and it has not chipped at all. It is a lovely baby pink and makes my hands look dainty and so girly! The brush is quite thin but the formula, like others have said below, is not streaky - big plus. Would repurchase as I have yet to find something similar!

I just love this pink! I was very hesitant to buy this polish since a lot of essie polishes seem to be streaky, especially semi sheer polishes and pinks. This one is not streaky, which is a huge relief. I do you a protein base coat (to keep in mind). This polish has pretty much replaced all of my other pinks, this has become my favorite pink polish. It takes me two coats to get my desired look. It has a somewhat jelly finish as some others has mentioned, which I personally like. It clean and glossy. It's a true pink that I think would fit any skin tone. Not too cool, not too warm. My skin tone usually looks best with warmer colors (I'm a neutral skin tone) and this looks so nice on me. It's a very feminine color, and very classy. My only complaint is the brush, I've been spoiled on o.p.i. brushes that this brush seemed so thin and was a little tough to get use to, other than that, I love it.

This colour has really grown on me, didn't like it when I first got it but much more keen on it now :) It's a really nice sheer candy-ish pink that I always go for when I don't want anything too bold on my nails - yet it still looks really feminine and pretty. The formula was fine, not streaky at all. Took about 4 coats for it be opaque enough for my liking but it would still look great with less than that.

Pop Art Pink is part of Essie's 2010 Spring Collection, 'Art of Spring'. It is a semi-sheer, candy pink, which has a very "clean" look to it, probably because it leans towards being slightly cool toned. I would class it as semi-sheer, as after two coats my nails tips are still slightly visible (though not prominent) and after three coats it is pretty much opaque. It is a cream shade, so has no shimmer or glitter to it. Also, unlike other reviewers, I did not find Pop Art Pink to be streaky. Maybe I just got a good bottle, but the polish itself was nice and fluid, and did not cause any streaking.

I generally veer towards the more white-pink shades of polish, like Essie Ballet Slippers, as they tend to suit my colouring, but decided to try Pop Art Pink as a 'pinker' alternative. My hands often don't suit baby/candy pink shades (I think due to my skin's pinky undertones) but Pop Art Pink looks quite nice, I think because it leans slightly cool.

I find all Essies to wear exceptionally well on me, and Pop Art Pink is the same. I have said I would repurchase, but I don't think I will be reaching for it very often, just because I tend to suit the 'whiter' pinks better, so I will generally choose Ballet Slippers or something similar when I want a pale shade.

a pretty girly pink with a jellyish/squishy look to it which i love. makes your hands look clean. i will admit it is streaky, but I ended up doing three coats, and they weren't super difficult to apply coats.

I wouldn't say its an easily dupe colors since i feel with neutrals, the slightest change in shade can make the color clash your skin tone.

This color is adorable. It is a light-sheerish pink. It goes on very streaky. Thank goodness for SV. It is a very pretty pastel pink. It is a great easter color. This color is highly dupeable and there really is not anything special thus the 3 rating.

This is a lovely spring shade, not girlish or bubblegum pink but a soft pink. With 2 coats, the tips of my natural nails remain slightly visible; I think 3 coats would be needed for opaque coverage. I didn't want another sheer -- as much as I like Essie polishes, the sheer pinks seem to look alike on my nails -- and this cream was only slightly streaky on a few nails with the first coat. The second was streak-free. As always, I appreciate Essie's short brush, which is easier for me to control.

I blame Scrangie for creating my lemming for this! She described the color as a pink version of Essie Marshmallow. Well, she hit the nail on the head! I'm so glad I got this! The formula was a bit on the streaky side, but the second and third coats went on pretty smooth and even. I had no visible nail lines, yet the polish had that jelly look to it. It is a very soft, milky pink color and much more subtle that my usual tastes, but I really love it!
