I can't believe this product is now discontinued. I actually use this as a blush and it is the best color I've ever run across. All I need is a little dab on my cheekbones and it gives me just the right amount of natural looking flush in my cheeks.

This is my first Revlon lipstick and I must say that this particular line is so up there with higher end brands that I've tried in the past; - both packaging and formula wise. I love the quilted packaging and how the word "Revlon" is neatly stamped on the lipstick (very Chanel-like imo). The color of the cap matches the actual shade of the lipstick as well.

Soft Rose is a warm rosy reddish brown shade that goes as a fantastic my-lips-but-better shade. I have natural rosy lips and this suits them perfectly. I also love how soft and creamy this lipstick is. It glides smoothly on the lips and is very moisturizing. I also find that it wears really well and lasts decently. I also noticed how it leaves a nice even tint on my lips. And unlike cheaper lipsticks, this doesn't have any funky scent to it.

However, due to its soft texture, this lipstick tends to melt easily. I wouldn't mind that at all since I am used to my Mac Cremesheens and Chanel Rouge Coco's falling a part in no time due to humidity. But since Revlon discontinued this shade already (booh!), the thought that I can't get it anymore once I run out bothers me. So I am not letting our tropical weather expedite that.

I get the feeling I am the only person for whom this lipstick doesn't work. On me, the color is not MLBB; it is too bright and pink for that. The texture is great, though, very creamy. It lasts a while too. I would purchase this lipstick in a different color.

I bought this over a month ago at CVS for only $2. I'm not much of a lipstick girl but I've been wearing this one regularly ever since I purchased it! It's a creamy rose color that looks natural but also adds enough color to the face. It feels really good on the lips and lasts a decent amount before having to re-apply. My lips dry out easily but I found that this does not dry them out either. Its a really great lipstick and I love it for when I want to do a natural look or something a little more dramatic. I really hope its not being discontinued because this is my favorite lipstick now and I'm willing to buy it at full price (around $8-9) after realizing how wonderful it is!

This is a great fall/winter shade, and maybe even a spring nighttime shade, because of its lovely rosiness. I can see this looking good on many skin tones. It's creamy, with a shimmer-free finish (YES!). It has a decent wearing time and does not dry out my lips. Even on slightly chapped lips, this lipstick looks good. The packaging is cute and looks expensive. The shade that is displayed on top is pretty accurate, and I like having it there for storage purposes. Overall, this is a great lipstick. I have medium, pigmented lips, and this is a good alternative to some pinks that are unwearable to me. It's less dramatic than a red, so it's office suitable, but with a dramatic eye, it could be used for a bolder look. Pretty versatile, I think. You can slap it on and instantly look put together. I think it's being discontinued (I picked this up at CVS at only $2) so buy it while you can!

I recently picked this up on clearance for $2 and some change at CVS. I hope that it's not being discontinued because I'm in love with this lipstick. The color is natural but still makes my lips pop. It's not sheer at all, and it's super creamy. Lasting power is average.

I love these lipsticks! They go on smooth and strong, and they have good staying power. I have five colors: Soft Nude, Petal, Carnation, Raspberry, and Plum.

The only one I didn't like was Raspberry because it was FAR too orange-y on me. Plum, on the other hand, is my favorite red lipstick (though it may be too dark for some people). I strongly recommend these, especially if you can get them on sale at CVS or even Target. They are a little pricy.

This is one of my fave lipsticks and I have all kinds of HE brands from Chanel, Guerlain, and BB....this is up there with those, qualitywise. It's a gorgeous, slightly warm rosebud shade. Bold enough to be noticeable but not "in your face" bright or deep. Just so. Works with everything and I wear it everywhere. Never bleeds and fades naturally after many many hours. MMM/NC35.

Love Love Love this lipstick!!!
Revlon makes the best lipsticks, in my opinion, on the market whether it be high-end or drug-store.
I think the Colorburst Collection is better than the regular Revlon lipstick. I just bought the Soft Rose on clearance for $4.50 and it is absolutely beautiful!!! A warm, natural MLBB shade. The formula is creamy, silky, color-saturated, and moisturizing without bleeding everywhere. Decent staying power. No caking or crumbling, which is the case with most lipsticks that I have tried. Very natural color that brightens my face. It is the perfect neutral lipstick color to have throughout the seasons. I honestly cannot say enough good things about this lipstick.

Bought this on sale for $3.99 CDN b4 taxes. Usually it's about $9.99 CDN b4 taxes at regular price.
Love the fact that it has no scent, creamy texture and oh so highly pigmented. This lipstick will last you for a very long time especially if you only apply to give your lips a little warmth. The color does not easily fade away like with other lipsticks (mainly due to the high pigmentation), but you may want to reapply after heavy drinking or eating to keep that burst of color on your lips like when you first applied it. I have mostly Super Lustrous lipsticks and compared to those, the Colorburst range truly lives up to its claims of being full of color.
It removes easily with makeup remover.
Highly satisfied with this purchase. It's also a bonus that the packaging comes in this quilted pattern, making it look very sophisticated and luxurious, especially for a drugstore brand. Will definitely be investing more in this range.
The only drawback I can think of would be that it doesn't have a whole range of colors like the Super Lustrous line (72 shades and counting). But, it does provide enough for those wanting a wide variety of colors.

This is a "my lips but better" for me - probably a shade or two darker than my natural lip color, but still manages to look very natural. It's become one of my favorite lip colors, especially for fall and winter. Not as dramatic as a red, but still more interesting than a pink or nude. $9 is kind of steep for a drugstore lipstick, and lasting power is so-so; it doesn't survive eating or drinking. I love the color, though, and the formula is non-drying.

I really like this color. It is a bit brighter than a MLBB color on me, but very easy to wear. It really enlivens my face. Sometimes I feel like it looks a little warm and almost coralish on, but I still find it flattering on my cool skin. In fact, I find it more flattering than Rosy Nude, which I also own and really like. Rosy Nude is very similar but slightly more neutral and browned. Soft Rose definitely brightens my face more, I find Pink Truffle in the Colorburst Lip Butter line to be sort of in between Rosy Nude and Soft Rose despite looking a lot more brown in the tube.

I bought this lipstick on a whim, because it was 5 dollars on sale at Walgreen's and I have never tried anything this shade before. I do not buy stuff like this often. I alternate between pretty bold lipsticks - crimson, gold, and black most of the time. I am really surprised at how much I like it!
It's a rosy-tan that basically looks like my lips but amplified, louder. I love this brand, it goes on so creamy and soft and lasts a long time, and the tube is gorgeous. I guess the closest thing it comes to that I have tried is MAC's Hot Tahiti, and I like this one even more. I definitely recommend it.

This is my HG lipstick for fall/winter. The color is so beautiful, its bold without being at all over the top. I like the brownish red tone it has. The formula is very long lasting, smooth and pigmented. If you're considering buyi8ng this lipstick then definitely go for it, it's amazing!

The Relvon ColorBurst in Soft Rose was a color I brought on a whim because my local CVS had it on sale for $5.49. I normally don't stray far from my usual baby pinks and light nudes, but I regret nothing with this lipstick.

First of all, the packaging is very sleek and chic, and the color on the cap makes storage a breeze! My biggest pet peeve about any lipstick is the smoothness of the formula - but the ColorBurst's formula is so silky and pigment with just one coat. I actually don't mind too much about the rounded tip of the lipstick either though a pointed one would've made drawing in my cupid's bow a little easier. :)

I wore it out for the first time yesterday and people stopped me to compliment it. and mind you, I've never been complimented by strangers before. So I will definitely be repurchasing.

Lovely creamy rosey lipstick that is three shades darker than my own lipcolor. Very moisturizing and lasts forever if I do not eat. I can drink out of a bottle and the lipstick will stay on my lips perfectly. Will most definitely repurchase! EDIT: The shade is not millions miles away from Chanel Mademoiselle, and it is also similar in texture, but Soft Rose is a warmer tone whereas Mademoiselle can appear rather pink than rosey on me.

Color: warm rosy nude, full coverage in one swipe. This is a great, polished, work-safe but not boring lip.

Fragrance: none detectable.

Formula, wear, consistency: The finish is satiny, with no shimmer or glitter, just a slightly moist sheen. Wear time is average, a little shorter than I'd like but still acceptable for a non-matte lippie. Glides onto the lips smoothly but is not particularly hydrating; I find that if my lips are well-moisturized beforehand it behaves best. If my lips are dry this makes them look terribly dry, as it will collect beneath all the flakies and lines etc. and look uneven. So long as you are sure to moisturize and keep your lips exfoliated, and this will treat you well.

Packaging: Revlon has stepped up their game a little with a sturdy black plastic tube that is smooth, matte black plastic on two sides and embossed with a "quilted" pattern on the other two sides. The cap closes with an audible click and features an end piece on the very top which represents the lipstick color inside quite accurately. The stick itself is housed in a shiny silver swivel up tube. Nothing really luxe, but satisfyingly sturdy and rather elegant.

Pricing and Availability: ~$8 at any drugstore that sells Revlon. Quite ubiquitous.

Bottom line: I had been lemming this for a long time because it had been touted as a NARS Dolce Vita dupe. While it is not a dead ringer I am still pleased with my purchase and have been using it as one of my go-to everyday lipsticks ever since I purchased it. I recommend this but I give it 4 out of 5 lippies because it could be more moisturizing, or at least get along better with dry lips.

Me: AAB NC30, yellow to neutral undertones, oily skin, coarse/thick black hair, darkest brown (almost black) eyes.

I bought this based purely on MUA reviews. In the tube it looks like a color that I would never try, but I got it anyway because of MUA and I was not disappointed. This is a great everyday lipstick. It's natural enough to not look overly made up, but it does make you look put together. It looks very sophisticated. I guess My Lips But Better is indeed a good description of this color.
It has not beaten my favourite everyday lipstick - Chanel Romantic - but whereas I used to wear Romantic every single day before, I now altnerate it with this when I want a slightly softer look. (Me using any other lip product than Romantic says a lot!). Romantic is still my HG but this is a very close second.
Revlon is not for sale where I live (Netherlands) so I've bought a back-up while I was in the US. Once I run out I will purchase Chanel Mademoiselle as I hear they are very similar. I'll update on a comparison when I do!
Besides the color I also really like the consistency of the lipstick. It's creamy and moisturizing and it applies smoothly. The staying power is fine too.
The packaging feels stury, no complaints there either.
Overall a great lipstick for a great price. I would definitely repurchase.

I don't find this to be the most pigmented lipstick on the planet but that's fine my me. I like that it is a little sheer and also a little glossy which reminds me of my favourite lippies - MAC Lustres. I really do think it's a MLBB kind of shade. It's natural looking enough to not scream 'look at me!' but also visible enough so that you can look alive and put together but not overdone.

I really like the packaging, it looks expensive and NICE - I like that it looks sleek and elegant, not tacky or cheap. I like that it has the pressed waffle shapes on the tube and that it has the colour on the top of it. Also, it's a retangular shape which is great - it doesn't roll on my table!

Dupe: Yes this is a dupe for Chanel's Rouge Coco Madmoiselle. I swatched both and they look identical apart from the fact that Soft Rose is a tinge more red, whilst Madmoiselle is a bit pinker. They are very close though. Madmoiselle is also more creamy and pigmented but Soft Rose is a very good dupe for the price. Not sure about the NARS Dolce Vita dupe but I want Dolce Vita... If this really is a dupe for that (which it doesn't look like from pics) then that's great!
