Has anyone noticed the quite obnoxious rose type smell?? This product would be pretty decent if it weren't for that. It also irritates my eyes quite badly but I would assume that is from the fragrance. Overall a decent mascara as far as lengthening if the smell doesn't bother you. For me, I will stick to my amazing Tarte mascara.

I always come back to this mascara. It's just a little wet and gloopy for the first few uses, but after that it's perfect. The formula doesn't smudge ever, but comes off easily with water. It makes my average lashes look long and separated - someone actually commented on how long they looked when I wore this mascara. My lashes also don't hold a curl well, but the slightly curved brush is great for reinforcing the curl and lifting. I've tried nearly every drugstore mascara, and haven't found anything better.

I cannot rave enough about this mascara. I used to be a DiorShow addict, but it just seemed so expensive after a while. One day I saw a girl with ridiculous eyelashes and asked her if hers were real. She said yes, and she uses the falsies. I immediately bought a tube and have never looked back.
I have gotten so many people onto this product. They better not ever discontinue it!! There is another version of it that is "flared," but that one is awful.
I use this mascara with the Shu Umera eyelash curler and my eyelashes have never looked better.

The first few times I used this mascara I really liked it. Now I barely use it at all. The brush is not that great. The bristles clump together after a few uses and makes your lashes clumpy and uneven. If the brush was better this would be a really good product.

I disliked this mascara so much that I threw it out after trying it twice. It clumps, goes all sticky and didn't give my eyelashes nearly as much length compared to covergirl's lengthening mascara

Cheap. Alotta volume. Everything u want in a mascara. I personally use mascara with a big thick wand for more volume not those fickle prick plasticky ones like from rimmel. No offense. But obviously the people who say its clumpy leaves residue do not know how to apply mascara. I always buy this mascara in BLACK DRAMA there are other variations of black in this mascara so any will do. I dnt ever get waterproof b/c for sme reason i dnt get the volume i want/ need. So buy this!!! If u dnt wanna spend $25+ for sme boujie mascara

I have been a bit of a mascara snob my whole life, but I've recently decided to start trying some drugstore mascaras and start saving myself some $$$! So, I had heard The Falsies was good and went to the store yesterday to get it. I did get a little confused as to which one to buy b/c there are a few different kinds and different variations of black. I don't remember exactly how they were labeled and the differences, but one was waterproof and it's color was another dark black-making me think that even though I didn't want waterproof, maybe it would be more black than the regular. In the regular there were 2 different dark blacks (maybe noir black and very black?) and I just wasn't sure which was supposed to be darkest. I think I went with the higher number. There were also 2 different types of the regular, but I'm sorry to say that I don't remember what those specific things were either. But, the one I went with I ended up really liking! It's not as good as my Korres Volcanic mascara that I'm also using right now, but it's still good and I will def reach for it frequently. The exact one I bought was the Flared one in Blackest Black. I would buy it again, but only after I try some more on my current hunt for good drugstore mascaras. It definitely gives that demi whispy type of look.

Clumpy. I guess it creates "volume" by sticking all of your eyelashes together in a spider-leggy mess, leaving large gaps between. Impossible to build up. Makes lashes stiff and after a few hours leaves flakes all over my face.
Boooo.

HG mascara along with Loreal voluminous! I love this mascara. This mascara is definitly on the thick side so it wont look as natural as lets say cover girl lash blast would. It makes my lashes look very thick and long. I first purchased this mascara like 2 years ago after hearing really good reveiws by my friends. The first time i used it, hated it. But i decided to give at a chance, so i used it for a full week and by the end of the week i loved it. The same thing happened with my other HG mascra loreal voluminous. Ive heard that its becasue it dries out a tiny bit once you open it so the formula changes. But i thought it was just that the brush is kind of hard to get used to. Ive tried probably over 20 different mascaras and i think this is overall an amazing product that i highly recommend!! love it!

Falsies is OK. The first time you use it, you're probably going to think it's the best thing ever. And the time after that, and the time after that. However, it doesn't last. My tube is mostly full, I've only had it since mid to late April-ish, and it's doing horribly.
So yes, time has done it horribly. Even though I haven't had it too long, it's dried out already. When I put it on it leaves little "crumbs" on my face, and the brush, which is arguably the worst part, is utterly terrible. The shape is great, I will give it that, but after awhile the bristles start to clump together, get pressed down, and then simply fall off. It's not time durable.
It also doesn't make your eyelashes look at all like you have "falsies" on.
The price is great and the packaging is fine, but overall it's just not worth it. I probably won't buy it again.

My HG Mascara (closely followed by L'Oreal Volume Million Lashes)
Makes my eyelashes look long and full and I love how dark the black colouring is.
No need for more than one coat as more coats can make the product look clumpy. This means less product I have to use and this mascara gets to last longer!
Will repurchase this for a very long time. I saw it all over youtube and thought since it is so cheap (even in New Zealand where I live) I should give it a try and I was not let down.
LOVE LOVE LOVE

Oh man based i love this! Been using careprost since the beginning of the year and this mascara does it all for my lashes. Length, volume, thickness and everyone mentions my lashes when I have this on. I got it at Target for $5.94, who can beat that? None of my high end mascara can, that is for certain. I am about to be 27 and I have been using Maybelline Volum's line of mascaras since high school. They continue to slay the beauty industry with their superb offerings. Well done again Maybelline! This is my HG.

I managed to get this at US prices here in Japan so I was quite happy to give it a go.
The wand is curved to help flare out the lashes. I like that it doesn't clump and leaves my lashes defined and pretty compared to no mascara. I have a bit of a hard time not getting it on my skin when I do my bottom lashes though because of the large wand. I usually only do one coat but this could probably be built up.
It hasn't smudged on me and does what it is supposed to. The packaging is in a chubby purple tube, which is quite fun as I am used to minimalistic packaging. It is a good mascara, the only reason why I wouldn't buy this again is because I want to try the other Maybelline mascara formulas.

I purchased this after seeing a video by Tanya Burr who loves this mascara.
I have medium length sparse lashes that need lengthening and thickening without looking clumpy. I've been loyal to Maybelline Define-a-lash mascara for a couple of years now but I wanted to try a different mascara, so I bought The Falsies.
This mascara has quite a large curved tip/wand which feels a bit clumpsy. I feel that I'm not able to get into the "corners" of my eyes in the way that I'm able to with Define-a-lash which has a thin straight wand.
The Falsies is a lot more creamy than Define-a-lash but I can't build it up gradually the way that I can with Define-a-lash because so much product is deposited on to my lashes with the first swipe that by the second or third swipes it starts to form clumps. I haven't experienced flakiness, so the formulation is not a problem: my issue with this is its design.
The Falsies isn't a bad product if you already have thick and long lashes. However, I feel that for me, I'm not able to create the length and intensity I want. Define-a-lash on the other hand is an HG mascara: I love its precision and "natural" non-clumpy finish.
I would not buy this product again.

for me, this is a very mediocre product. it clumps, doesn't really make my eyelashes look at all like i have "falsies" on, and dries out very quickly. not wanting to waste it, i used it all as a second coat over mascaras that work well for me.

This is my favourite mascara that I have tried and I have tried a lot. It gives me length and volume and is very buildable. I don't get a false lash effect whatsoever but really, I understand now that no mascara is going to give that with my short lashes.
It holds a curl very well and doesn't flake or smear. I like this a lot more than The Collosal, although that Is still a great mascara.
To use, I apply about 3-4 coats to get the effect I want. If I am going out then I will layer Nyx Doll Eye mascara in long lashes over the top to give definition.
I've given this a 5 because I have tried so many mascaras but always return to this one. It isn't a HG but it's pretty close!

this is my fav mascara from maybelline. I have long lashes but they are sparse so I usually use volumising mascaras. always curl your lashes before applying any mascara, but you need a product that can hold the curls. what I do to make this mascara work for me is to apply it from 3/4 of my lashes' length, ie not applying right from the base.and also., you must use the correct side of the brush (the spooned side). be patient and applying from 3/4 of the lashes will layer on the length and volume. This does not smudge on my oily lids and my lashes feel feathery fluffy and light.

I bought this on a whim a few months ago as I've heard amazing reviews from the youtube community but I regret it every time i open my makeup drawer! It was clumpy and in an hour it flaked all around my eyes. Now, minor flaking doesn't bother me but this was horrible and multiple friends commented on it. Will be throwing this out.

I tried the falsies mascara years ago when it first came out (I think it may have been the falsies flared waterproof) and I absolutely hated it. It may have been because I was using the brush upside down back then. I recently decided to give the falsies mascara another try after seeing so many bloggers loving it and seeing how nice it looked in pictures. I'm so glad I did. My lashes look so full and it gives decent lenght and makes them really stand out. I like the thin scooped brush...I find it very easy to use, and it's a nice change of pace from all these big huge brushes flooding the market It also makes my lower lashes look perfect, like very few other mascaras do. I'm currently loving this mascara and I'm really surprised it hasn't gotten higher ratings on here.
