This is a powder foundation that I bought for the high spf. It's a lovely product, glides onto skin and dosen't look patchy or cakey.Dosen't look powdery either, looks like a liquid foundation once applied. It can be layered without going cakey But BEWARE the colours run very dark , and I mean DARK. I got this in translucent medium. When I opened it up it acually looked quite pale in the compact. But as soon as I saw in on the puff I knew. When applied I looked like I had a suntan. It didn't look that bad, I could pull this off in summer as a bronzing powder , but the fact is it isn't.If I wanted to use this as intended I would have to go much lighter. I've actually started to use this as a blush as it's hard to get blushes with spf, so at least i'm getting some use out of it.The medium really is for dark skin tones which is hardly medium..But it is a lovely product, love the orange compact and the way the puff is stored seperately.Just be very careful of the colours.

I've become really "sun phobic" lately and anything I can get SPF in, I do. I accidentally bought this in translucent medium even though I'm an NC15. It made me look muddy and dirty and I was really disappointed.
However, I then decided to put on my very pale foundation and apply this ALL OVER the top and it was the most realistic "tan" I've done yet. Not a hint of orange or red or shimmer, I just look tan. Beautiful. It's become an indispensable part of my foundation routine and it doesn't cake or settle into lines. I apply it like a pressed powder (roll with a velour puff, then dust off excess) rather than buffing it like a foundation.

HG for me. I got this in translucent light and love it. I'm using it more for the foundation than for the sunscreen and apply it with a kabuki brush only on my cheeks, chin and nose. This is very finely milled, but solidly in the compact. There's no mess/fuss with loose powder flying everywhere. I have been using steadily for about two months and am not close to hitting pan.
I did first try using the included sponge and the oil from my skin caused the powder surface to darken/get hard, so I switched to the brush, which I prefer anyway. I use a bit of Origins Quick Hide concealer if needed, then brush this over it and everything looks quite natural. I can use a small brush to dab extra powder if I need extra cover on a spot or two. This doesn't settle in my pores or fine lines and everything just looks great.
The 50 spf is an added benefit, but I do not depend on it; I use a lotion sunscreen/moisturiser. The compact is adorable, very cheerful color combo. Easy for travel. Love, love, love. This has displaced my previous fav powder foundation by Clinique. Price is not cheapest, but reasonable for drugstore and often on special. I will pick up as many of these as possible next time I'm in the states. Afraid of it being discontinued.

I got this for $3 which was the only reason I bought this other than the high spf. I generally liked this product because for me I don't have time in the morning to do all my makeup so I can apply this in 2 seconds and I'm done. What I really liked about this was that it evened out my skintone and made my acne scars less noticeable. It got rid of my redness around my nose completely and I loved that about this. The downside was that it's not full coverage , it's light to medium coverage and if you put too much you'll look cakey. It did nothing for my eye bags though. I think this is perfect for a quick everyday makeup that is very natural looking and the high spf is a bonus!

I really wanted to love this because the packaging is adorable and it has a high SPF, but it pretty much sucks. First off, the smell is AWFUL. It smells alright in the pan, but once it gets on my skin it turns into this really strange, gross scent that I end up smelling all day. Ick. As for it being a foundation, I have pretty oily, acne prone skin and the coverage is one of the better ones I've had for a powder, but I have the color Natural Beige and it's ORANGE on me. And it's also really chalky, and the coverage I get lasts literally for like 3 minutes and disappears. But the smell. That has pretty much killed it for me and I'm not even one of those people who are sensitive to fragrances. Not worth the $15 imo.

For me, this is awesome. Nice, sheer coverage that sets my makeup and gives extra UV protection. Doesn't irritate my skin, either. I love the orange compact, too, and the PF brushes are great. I hope they continue to make this one for a long time.

I bought this for the first time at Big Lots for $4 a couple of months ago and have been using it almost non-stop. I generally don't wear powder foundations, but I love this one. I apply with the e.l.f Studio Powder Brush (but the included sponge does a pretty good job in a pinch) and it goes on with quickly with minimal effort. Its buildable light-medium coverage, but it is easy to go overboard and make it look too cakey - so watch out.
I'm planning on stocking up on these at the $4 price!

I bought this on clearance at Rite Aid for about four bucks a while ago, and i have been using it a lot. The packaging is really durable and cute, but it does tend to get cakey if you apply too much. i wouldnt nesescarily use this as a foundation since its super sheer, but its a great setting powder. ive had it for months and the writing on the top is still present. theres almost as much product in here as a mac msf natural! overall, i like it but its not the best. also- it gives sort of a white cast to your face if its not close to your skin color.

Bought at BigLots for $4.00 at first was skeptical about the product. Didn't even notice at first that the product contains SPF 50, till the next day...Yay! _I think this product is worth every penny because it does not contain alot of junk that other drugstore makeup contain. That will make you break out. Usual price runs about $14.00, I have tried Bare Minerals Foundation..its okay for people who don't have oily acne prone skin..but that's a whole different story...

I LOVE this powder. I work outside in hot humid weather, and this is the only thing that doesnt leave my face a greasy mess while providing adequate sun protection.

I previously used PF Mineral Wear pressed powder, but after becoming pregnant and researching the products I use on my skin on skindeep.org, I decided to switch to the Healthy Wear because it only scored a 2 out of 10 on their 'hazard meter'. I must say I'm very pleased with the performance of this powder! I use two colors, the Translucent Light goes on first with a kabuki brush (after letting my Belli tinted sunscreen soak in), then I apply another thin layer of Translucent Medium with the provided sponge. I love the result - the product applies with the ease of a powder, yet gives the coverage of a liquid/cream foundation. I have mild/moderate acne (before and during pregnancy) and using the Healthy Wear powder has reduced the number of cosmetic breakouts I've experienced. Love this stuff!

I got this in one of those CVS clearance sales and used it for only 3 months before the expiration date on the product. I use it to set my bb cream to get a more matte look and the spf50 is a total plus! If only the product lasted longer, I would've gotten more use out of this product. overall, it didn't flake on me, easy application, extremely cute packaging that's also efficient and travel friendly, and affordable price. I would definitely repurchase again if I come across it.

Good cosmetic sunscreen with high SPF. I usually apply this with a brush for a more natural look, but if I need more spf coverage, I use the sponge that is stored under the powder in the compact. I like that the SPF mainly comes from minerals, not chemical sunscreen. This is also good for dusting over lotion sunscreens that have a sheen. Though a powder, the consistency is a tad moist, so it sticks to skin well and gives a slight dewy finish. It stays put very well in hot humid weather.
There are four shades- two of which are labled "translucent" which provide sheer coverage; the two other shades (light/medium and medium/tan) provide medium coverage that is buildable.

yeahh lik comment below got it at biglots for 4$ and so i bought 2 foundations and 2 bronzers. im pretty sure this broke me out like nuts. just after putting it on, it gave me an intense glowy look, not dewy, but GLOWY prolly b/c theres spf 50 in there. i wore it on a 3 day trip with nothing unusual about any other skincare product except using this on top of everything and i came back home with acne all over my face. i thought it was just b/c of the abrupt climate change but i wore it several times on top of my sunscreen for extra protection when i went running or just during a long day outside and my acne worsened. not flattering b/c of intense shine and broke me out. shouldnt have bought 2 of them. but the bronzers are very nice! i got in medium and tan, i prefer tan.

i was very disappointed with this. i couldnt find any other drugstore powders with high spf, which is why i picked up this one. i had to order it online, since i couldnt find it in stores. the coverage was pretty darn good, and it wasnt difficult to buff out.
BUT, it oxidized HORRIBLY. worse than anything else ever has on me. i'm quite fair, but after no time at all this left me straight up ORANGE.
and since i ordered it online, i'm not going to go through the hassle of an online return :/

I love Physicians Formula. They sure have come a long way and much improved. I am very impressed with them lately!
The high spf is what attracted me to this product. I love the orange and hot pink bubble case! Lately, its about the packaging; its a make or break deal, if i dont like the case im not going to consider it. the product is powdery and does cover pores. It is very transparent and light in coverage. I use this powder to top my powder foundation Physician's Formula Mineral Wear Talc Free Airbrushing Loose Powder SPF 30. This case is so much easier to tote around than the loose powder's case, but i so do dearly love the loose powder. I tried to put this on by itself, but it didnt look as nice. It looked dry and dull, but with the PF Mineral Wear on top, looks absolutely fabulous.
Also, its got talc :( but so far no breakouts or clogged pores) but so far so good.
check out my full review on froofrooritables.blogspot on this and the other Physician Formula products that I love!!!

Love this cute and sturdy little mirrored compact which houses a great SPF 50 in a powder form!! Perfect to slip into your bag and go! I set the Healthy Wear TM with this powder using a brush. I love how the sponge applicator is included so I can use that for touch-ups during the day, if needed. I like the design of the case too with the separate compartment for the sponge. I use the translucent light and it works for my complexion. This really keeps my face shine free throughout the day. No breakouts. Excellent value for an amazing product! HG!

I have this in translucent light, and it does a fairly good job of mattifying my skin after foundation application. I hate the packaging, so, so, much. When I open it, the actual physical pan flips up and has to be pushed back down so you can use it. Super annoying, especially when you're in a rush.
