I have faithfully used the serum for more than a year and a half now and my lashes have been completely transformed. I originally had thick lashes but over time, after daily curling and loads of mascara, they thinned and became brittle. I use this every night, swipe it on the roots and on the lashes. It's non-irritating even though I have sensitive skin. Now my lashes are glossy, THICK, dark and longer.
It's interesting, when you look closely at the eyelashes in the light you can see a nearly transparent extension on the end. I also have almost NO lash fallout when I remove my makeup at night or during the day. The growth cycle of the lash definitely seems longer.
Even my (usually pretty oblivious) boyfriend has noticed. He'll say all the time, "You have AMAZING eyelashes, I don't know why you wear mascara!"
I am so grateful for this product and hope it's never discontinued. A HG product for sure :)

I purchased this lash serum because eye lashes need to be conditioned just like the hair on your head. I have naturally long, thick lashes but that does not matter because using mascara often will weaken them and make them thin and brittle. I try to use this serum at least 4x a week when I remember. I definately noticed my lashes to be stronger and thicker after about 10 uses. This serum really is a must for women who use mascara on a daily basis. Its not too thick, easy to apply and does not irritate the eye lids.
I'm pleased with it and will always have a tube handy.

I have been using this product consistently for about 4 weeks now. I have short, straight Asian lashes so always looking for a new solution for my lashes. I honestly don't think they are any LONGER but they do appear more lush and thick, and I agree with other reviewers that they seem more conditioned. I think this is a very good, but not great product. 4 lippies. I think results might vary by individual, but at the bare minimum I think it will condition and thicken your lashes. Oh - I also hate the curved bottom - it doesn't stand up so it always has a weird storage place in my bathroom cabinet.

I was pretty skeptical about this stuff, but now that I've tried it, I do think it works. BUT, I didn't see a huge improvement--or even a really noticeable one once I put on mascara. I've been using this every day at night and sometimes in the morning for about a month, and I've noticed that my lashes do seem a bit thicker. without mascara, the lashline is a bit more 'there', but I haven't really noticed any length increase, and after I put on mascara, I don't notice anything at all.
I like that it probably conditions the lashes well, so I'll keep using it, but one thing I don't like is the applicator. I find that it gets dirty pretty easily, and it tends to make product bead on my lashes instead of coating.

After like 3 days, my eyelashes were longer. Amazing. I didn't expect that. I just put on mascara and was like woah. I don't even need an eye lash curler.
Also, only after three days, I went to the nail salon and the lady told my mom she should have eye lash extensions if she wants lashes like mine, lol.
My eyelashes were always really long, but recently stopped being that long. I guess that's why it worked so well and so fast on me. Either way, try it! You might be pleasantly surprised like me, and also it's at your local drugstore and doesn't cost anywhere NEAR Latisse or other eyelash enhancing products.
I will update soon!

I think this serum works. Not as well as something like Latisse but considering the price difference, how can one complain? I noticed that my lashes grew faster and thicker within a month and with regular application I thought my lashes looked somewhat darker, too. The trick is regular use and reasonable expectations. I recommend this product.

I did the biggest mistake in the month of September 2012. I decided to put false lashes that lasted 3 to 4 weeks, at that time I was in love with my fake lashes and got many compliments I went for refills faithfully. But when I decided to go back to my real lashes, I cried for days. My real lashes some of the hairs had fallen out and I had gaps, also my real lashes were shorter than before, they looked awful. A friend recomended lash serum and I used faithfully for 3weeks....The results are fantistic!!! To be very honest I didn't think it was going to work for me, because my lashes were awful. Its been 3 months I've been using this product and my lashes are longer, fuller and it actually grew and no more Gaps! yes!!!! this stuff works. Iam now wearing mascara and my lashes looks great. Just today I had compliments on them. Thanks L'oreal for this great product.

I like this. I don't know that my lashes are growing, and it is pricey for a drugstore product claiming to grow lashes, but when I ran out the first time, I missed it and repurchased. I feel like it protects the lashes and keeps them soft more than anything and prevents them from falling out. It does leave a white glue-type substance on there, but I only use it at night so I don't mind. I also don't use it under mascara. I feel that actually clumps it up since you *are* making your lashes wet. That usually doesn't work with mascara. I don't know if the one it comes with is better, I don't have the mascara portion. *Side note, I also think that waterproof mascara is far more drying so if you are worried about lash loss and damage, try to use a more gentle or natural one or at least the non-waterproof types. (I used to use waterproof exclusively for some reason, before realizing the regular was less dry and clumpy and stayed on just as well.)* So I do like this. I feel it helps a little. If you are on a budget, some girls swear by vaseline. Who knows? :)

okay so i've been on a healthy lash kick, since my lashes have been falling out, I read the reviews on various products and chose to go with this one.
I've only been using this for the past 3-4 days, and I think I really like it so far.
My lashes have been falling out less already and they feel healthier, softer and silkier.
I use this every morning, and if i'm going out then underneath my mascara.
I think this is something EVERYBODY needs to use underneath their mascara. It helps keep the mascara in place, and keeps the mascara from drying out your lashes.
As for growth I haven't used it for long enough to see those results..Will update in about 3 weeks.

I used this for a little while, and I LOVED it! After I ran out, I needed a less expensive alternative, so I picked up the Rimmel version. I have to say, I miss the other one. I will definitely be switching back! And this time I'm using this for good!

I am really impressed at how relatively cheap this product is (~12 USD) and the results you see in a short amount of time. It really adds fullness and thickness to your lashes, and I could see new lashes develop. The differences were noticeable within the first week! The only reason for 4 lippies was b/c I didn't see much lengthening, and the formula is really thick and hence I didn't like wearing it under my mascara in the morning as it gets clumpy (for full effect you're supposed to use it twice a day). The Urban Decay Lash system is better for lengthening and not as clumpy, but I still switch off with this one to maintain thicker, fuller lashes.

This is a great product. To compare, last year I have also used Physician's formula 2 in 1 lash boosting eyeliner, and it worked nothing like this baby right here, because it took me over 2 months of use to really see a small improvement of lash growth. (Don't get me wrong, the PF eyeliner is still a great eyeliner, just maybe not as effective in lash growth). Now for the l'oreal version: after less than a week of usage, I can already notice a different in my lashes. This is because I have asian lashes that are extremely short, to the extent that i have difficulty using a lash curler since it often picks up only a tiny bit. But now I can really tell the difference between how much eyelashes I have left each time when I squeeze my lash curler. Its crazy! The price is reasonable as well.

I really love this stuff! I have been using it for about two months, am already halfway done with it, and I have seen a huge difference. My eyelashes will probably have doubled their length by the end of the tube, and I've also noticed much thicker lashes. It's also great considering how much other lash serums cost. The packing is nice, just like a mascara tube, and the cap clicks so you know you have completely twisted the cap on. Would recommend to anyone who want longer, fuller lashes! (and who doesn't want that?!)

I use this every night, plus mornings when I'm not wearing makeup. I can definitely tell the difference in my lashes strength when I'm not using this. When I stop, my lashes break off more. I have very lengthy lashes myself and I haven't seen any growth in that regard however, I use this mainly to help maintain the strength of my lashes from wearing waterproof mascara a lot and to help with their fullness which I have noticed a difference too.
All in all, I can't say much for length but this definitely helps strength and fullness and I can recommend it for anyone looking for that :) It's become a staple for me

I'm only in my first week of this but I already see results. I've been using it consistently every night and day and my lashes have gotten noticeably longer and there's a few new ones popping up. Now to be fair, I barely had any lashes to begin with, being typical Asian as I am.
I know a lot of people can't wear this during the day and I can completely see why. Yes, the texture of this stuff is kinda gluey and gross. I never usually wear make up though so this serum worked to my advantage. All I do is apply it in the morning, let it dry, and curl my lashes. It's super natural and my lashes are long enough now not to need mascara. The glueyness holds the curl.
What I really don't like though is the applicator. I feel like it doesn't get between my lashes and it's extremely difficult to apply it evenly. Oh well, results are still seen so all is well.

I just bought my second tube of this so it's time to review.
Firstly, this is not what I thought it would be. Let me explain:
My skin is so oily I have a hard time finding mascaras that won't smudge but still look natural. After Shu Uemura discontinued Mascara Basic (please, for the sake of all that is holy, BRING IT BACK!) I tried several expensive, (Chanel, Lancome, Armani, Dior) mid-range, (Benefit, Clinique, Urban Decay) "natural" (100% Pure, Dr. H, Korres) and well reviewed drugstore mascaras. Every one let me down in some way, and after reading something somewhere about Isabel Marant's favorite things that revealed she prefers wearing a bit of subtle brown eyeliner to mascara (French people...), I decided I should try the same, despite our lack of similarities in every way possible, much to my disappointment and embarrassment.
After weeks of tracking down the right waterproof eyeliner, smudge brush, and lash curler I set out for my new adventure in mascara-less-ness with good results. The only problem is that with my super oily skin, I can only use powder foundation, even on my eyelids (on which I can not even use eyeshadow due to creasing and general grossness despite trying many long-wearing varieties). This means that my naturally long, dark, and thick eyelashes (I know, they aren't perfect, though - the tips are blond) were daily being covered in a fine mist of powder foundation and therefore appearing less than natural or dark.
So, I set out to find a subtle "lash tint" with no luck - do these still exist? I tried just a smidge of Smith's Rosebud Salve and argan oil, applied by rubbing either onto the tips of my ring fingers and then blinking repeatedly, allowing my lashes to brush against my fingers gently. Result: smudgy eyeliner. Bioderma Crealine on a cotton swap ended with the same result. Next stop - clear mascara, but the few I have tried make my lashes spiky and/or crispy, plus they weigh down any curl. I contemplated having my lashes dyed but chickened out, and anyway I would still have the powder issue.
This product had great reviews, so I thought I would try it before any of the super expensive lash serums available at Sephora. I thought it would be like a clear mascara and lash moisturizer hybrid, wiping away the powder dust but leaving no visible trace. Nope. This stuff is like glue, plus the applicator is a weird rubbery crescent shaped thing that does not separate the lashes at all. I apply this at night only, and I can not imagine using this under mascara - it would be like putting pantyhose over jeans - lumpy. This goes above the lash line on the eyelids (ah, now the shape makes sense), the top and underside of both upper and lower lashes, plus under the lower lash line. It's so thick the tips of my lashes show tiny visible sheer white droplets. To be honest, I only continued to use this because I paid $15 dollars for it, but after a few weeks I did notice a difference. My lashes are longer, not thicker or stronger, but since they needed little help to begin with in any department I'm still a happy customer and I believe this to be a legitimately good product.
Cons:
#1 - When I wake up in the morning, sometimes the serum is balled up in my lashes, which isn't cute.
#2 - Unless you remove every trace of eye makeup, within days the serum inside your tube will no longer look pristine, which is not L'oreal's fault, but gross all the same.
#3 - For the price of a drugstore product who's appearance does nothing to elevate the status of my bathroom beauty shelf, the tube could be a bit bigger...like, the same size as a mascara, maybe?
#4 - I can only use this at night due the the aforementioned gluey-ness, so I won't see the long term effects as quickly or obviously as I would with twice daily usage.
#5 - The applicator. I get it, but would still prefer a brush, or a dual ended tube with a brush on one side and the rubber business on the other.
I don't think I will repurchase, but only because I am switching to more natural products, and finding cleaner replacements for things as I run out of them. In this case, Silk Naturals eye lash treatment.

I was really in love with this serum my lashes got really healthy and got longer but it took time to see results and it required consistent use every night, I applied according to instructions all over my lashes, I finished a tube and started my second one but then I found a serum that showed results a lot quicker (ANEW Lash-Transforming Mascara + Serum) and I had to remove a lippie from here. Still the results are really good and the product is so worth it, I do think the packaging can be improved a little bit since I find that the product with a brush is easier to apply.

I've repurchased this about three times now. (I rarely repurchase anything, so that's a pretty huge endorsement from me!) When I first started buying this, I think it was about $11. When I repurchased a couple of days ago, it was up to $16 or so. I'll continue repurchasing this, but I'm kind of annoyed that it's getting more expensive. I am happy with its effectiveness, though.
I use this serum morning and night on both top and bottom lashes. (I'm pretty sure the packaging says only to use on top lashes, but I didn't see the harm in using it on my bottom lashes as well and haven't had any problems with it.)
I wear eye make-up every day, so removing shadow, liner, and mascara every night could often lead to three or four lashes stuck to my cotton ball. I used to feel like wearing mascara led to this vicious cycle where I would put it on in the morning to make my eyelashes look thicker, but then when I removed it at night, I would end up losing more lashes and making them look sparser. So then next morning I felt like I had to wear mascara again, because my lashes needed even MORE thickness, but then at night I'd lose a few more. And on and on. But now I rarely lose any lashes when I remove my eye make-up at night! Which is awesome.
I'm not going to say that I'm suddenly growing tons of new lashes, but this has seriously improved the health of my existing lashes. They grow faster and fall out less easily, so the effect is to make my lashes thicker and longer than they were before I started using the serum. It doesn't work the same way as Latisse, but it's a budget-friendly way to get a similar effect. If you're not expecting miracles, this is a great product.

After a few weeks, I did notice a change in the overall thickness and strength of my lashes. Fewer of them fell out and I could see a few new ones growing where I previously had bare gaps. The only real issue I had is that the applicator tended to apply the product unevenly. Sometimes I would get globs that stuck my eyelids together, which wasn't pleasant. Less is definitely more with this product for that reason. But overall, I would repurchase.

I tried this and the matching mascara for about 2 months. I've used another lash grow formula (Double Lash) with good results and hoped this would do the same.
I liked the mascara, but neither that nor this serum did zip for the health of my lashes. It might have been the drying effect of alcohol (one of the ingredients). I really wanted it to work, but my lashes had no change whatsoever.
I'll stick with the one I know works for me.
