Color selection is an art form and no one color is universally for everyone even if people say it all the time. I went to the YSL counter (500 km away, this is a big deal for me!) to buy Celestial Mauve or maybe Lingere Pink to brighten up my pale NC5 skin and blue-green eyes. But the SA insisted this Neutral to Peachy based pink would be more "natural" and "youthful" on my very fair, golden skintone. Oh WHY did I listen to her?? If you put a neutral pink like this a yellow based skin-tone the result pulls peachy. As neutral peachy pinks closely match the color of my sallow under-eye circles and age-spots this does not work for me.
But that's not why I felt compelled to review. I don't hold a predjudice against a color as most can often be worked by topping with a differently colored gloss. But I swear this shade is beyond saving! It has an over slippery, greasy sliding feel and a chalky pastel cream finish. The greasy slippery texture shifts all over the place and ends up caking into the lip lines, crudding at lip edges, and collects around any dry patches. Kind of an orangeaid meets white-out look to age you 20 years. THIS is the look that Frivolous Pink gives me :(
I went back and brought Celestial Mauve #108 which is a lighter luminous actual blue toned pink. After tapping with my finger it blends into my lips and looks light and full. Flatters my very fair skin and blue-green eyes. Does not last more than an hour or so, so it needs frequent re-application but looks amazing.

This is gorgeous!!!!!!!! The perfect most beautiful blue based barbie pink it looks stunning on me this is indeed is a dupe for rimmels pink blush and gagas lipstick only the texture of this Is streaks better I believe I have found my HG lipstick the downside is the price I paid $ 37 for it which is way to expensive:( the packaging is very classy will only wear on special occasions because of the over the top price this is indulgence at its best....

I guess not many people know about this beautiful color? It only has 4 reviews...anyways, this l/s is very creamy (not my usual style but the color is so stunning I HAD to have it). Sometimes I feel the pink is a bit too pale for me (NC40) but usually that feeling goes away after gazing in the mirror for about 2 minutes lol :) This is a very neutral, light pink. Very pretty, I can imagine it would work well on most skin tones....probably would look exceedingly nice on my pale girls out there (I'm not pale lol) but it really is beautiful.

I love the shade, a good spring/summer color. The color is long lasting and pigmented. Make sure you put on a lot of lip balm/moisturizer before you put on the color.

Lovely pink! It is not as cool as #7 lingerie pink, but it is very similar. It is some what brighter. A must have for all pink lovers. I will be buying this again when I run out.

I love this pink! it is very nice, and I think it looks good on my NC40 skintone, I like wearing bright lipsticks and this one is pretty bright for my skin, but its alright, the formula is great and very creamy, I love it!!
