This stuff is so shimmery!! Ahh. it's crazy. And when you close the top powder flies out everywhere. Other than that it's okay. I will not repurchase.

I am very disappointed with this...DO NOT BUY! It has a lot of unless sparkle making me look like I was dipped in sugar like edward cullen or something. It doesn't cover much. No I just don't like it. The packaging is horrible. I am so going to return this.

This was my HG loose powder for a long time! I am a NC42 and I used the translucent fair. (405) The colours run a bit darker in my opinion and this one suited me perfectly in the wintertime, it was a tad light for me in summer. I have quite a few acne scars and this on top of my Mac Studio Finish concealer gave me a flawless look. My friends would always comment on how great my skin looked and some people I met would have never known I have acne prone skin with terrible scars. I would always get asked what I was wearing because people said it matched my skin tone so perfectly, I could even look at my face in the mirror in the car with no shame because my skin looked that good!
It never gave me a single pimple and one jar lasted me a long long time, I'm talking like almost 2 years with almost everyday use in winter and autumn/fall. I used my Ecotools kabuki to apply this and it blended beautifully. I didn't like the packaging, (this is the first loose powder I ever used to I don't know if all loose powder packaging sucks or it's just this one) I would just shake a little into the lid and then use it straight from the lid. I never had to touch my face up at all during the day.
One thing I didn't like at first about this is the sparkles, after a while I noticed my fingers and arms were sometimes sparkly from touching my face. It never appeared sparkly at all in the mirror though, well simple fix I just stopped touching my face. (which I shouldn't be doing anyway)
I think it's been discontinued in Australia cause I can't find it anymore. I saw its still available in the USA so I am definitely getting some on my trip in November,

I recently started wearing makeup and im not a fan of compact powder so i bought loose powder. I saw that this was cheap so I went to buy it.
When i opened it, powder just spilled everywhere o__e but i thought "hey, i never tried it" So the next day I wore this over my foundation. I have dry skin but oily T-zone so i just lightly dusted some there.
IT DOES NOTHING FOR THE OIL. It sinks in to by makeup making it look cakey and my t-zone is still very oily. I am hoping to find a better one next time.

Not a HG for me, but wearable enough that I'll finish the package. I, too, got the translucent fair and found it to be neither translucent nor fair. However I've eschewed the puff in favor of a kabuki brush and that blends it out well enough that I can wear it. It leaves a nice soft look and it lasts a long time. Not a rebuy though, since I have to put in extra work to avoid the dreaded tan face/white neck look.

I am so bummed that I splurged on this product. I say splurge because it was over $10, which I feel is quite expensive for a drugstore powder. I got it in translucent fair, and let me tell you, it is neither translucent nor fair. It is terribly orange/pink! I didn't notice shimmer like others have, but that's probably because I immediately washed my face. I am returning this to CVS first thing tomorrow.
I feel like Cover Girl products have really declined over the years. They used to market primarily to a younger demographic (teens and early 20's), now they appear to be targeting both the young (nature luxe line) and old (simply ageless). I think they should just stick with the classics. I love their classic loose powders and clean foundations, but most of their other "trendier" products just suck.

I never liked this product. I have it in 415 translucent medium, and it was one tone darker than my natural skin tone, so I ended up using this as a bronzer. I didn't like how it had a lot of glitter in the powder. The case wasn't very durable either. The plastic easily cracked after a few falls. The dispenser holes were also too large and too much powder came out as a result.

I'm hearing alot of mixed reviews on this product and i have to say im somewhere in the middle...i bought this powder many times, and i was quite contempt. It is true, however, that if you apply it then apply it again and again, you will eventually be pretty sparkly. One thing i HATE about this product, though, is good luck trying to put on shirts without it getting it everywhere if it so much as touches your face! other than that, the coverage is good, but the shades it comes in aren't very impressive. It also makes a mess if you spill it! I used to use this product alot, but i think i'll move on.

I've had a love/hate relationship with Covergirl TruBlend Minerals Loose Powder for years. If you apply it lightly, it doesn't look caked on and it actually has very good coverage by itself. If you don't have many blemishes or you just have some minor skin discoloration, this powder will cover it by itself and you can skip the foundation. The thing I don't like is that it doesn't last very long. I find that when I use this powder, I'll have to reapply/touch-up every hour or two. I've used other powders that last for 4+ hours and keep my face looking matte and shine-free. One thing I don't like about this powder is that it seems to have an orange tint no matter what shade I buy, so I have to really use it sparingly. I would suggest this powder to someone that wants a full coverage powder that is able to touch-up their makeup every couple hours. If you are going out for the night or are going to be out for an extended period of time without being able to touch-up here and there, I'd suggest going with another powder.

I'm not to interested on buying CG products coz stuff I get from them seems to be the worst in my stash that I don't reach for them at all. The only thing I love from them is their Blush singles called Tru Cheeks I think. The Advanced Radiance Cream foundation, Lipslicks, TruBlend minerals Blush and Loose Powder...oh my God...these are items that didn't work for me however I wanna give them a chance (coz I spent full price!) I didn't notice that glitter overload of this TruBlend Powder when I tried it at the store because of the lighting I guess. I thought it just look glowy and healthy so I tried it. Once used as a finishing powder, geezz, I looked like an oxidized-shimmering-fresh from the beach tanned girl! I like wearing shimmery/gliterry eyeshadows, but glitter all over my face is the last thing I would use to finish my face. The same thing with the TruBlend Blush, I had Shimmering Sands, it's a gorgeous color but I don't see myself wearing it unless I'm at the beach for a sunkissed look...and I'm not a beach loving person. This products may work for others, I'm not saying they're 100% terrible. 'Just not for me :(

I love this loose powder. I prefer using it with a makeup brush and even the pad it comes with is very light and fluffy. It gives my skin great coverage and adds color to my fair complexion. The only major issue I have is with the packaging...it is hard to be able to use with a makeup brush without it getting all over my sink. They do sell one that comes with their own brush, but this particular package does not. Using a makeup brush will give you a light dusting. It lasted all day, too. Overall, I would recommend this product!

Everyone is giving this powder a bad review but i guess it just depends what shade you are. I have it in translucent honey and it gives my skin a healthy beautiful glow (you know the glow Halle Berry has...yea that glow). Yes it has shimmer but its not too glittery like some other people have commented here. I use it to set my foundation and it last forever. My skin is very oily, by the way, so the fact it doesn't make it greasy or orangy is a definitely a plus. I have used many different powders (high end, drugstore etc) but this works beautifully. I'm going to suggest to use a fluffy powder brush instead of the puff. The puff might be the problem since it looks like it packs on too much of the product. A powder brush will give you a light dust of the powder leaving your skin flawless.

If I could give this 0, I would. THIS IS SO EFFING GLITTERY! Don't buy it. It makes you look like a 5 year old got made at you and threw glitter in your face. It's cakey and glittery and orange-y. Way too orange. Ugh. I don't even wanna remember the one time I wore it. And I didn't leave my bathroom until it was off. That bad.

I have very light skin, and the translucent fair shade was far too dark and orangy. It was also very shimmery, which was not what I wanted/expected from this product. It applied thickly, even when I used a very light hand to apply it. I do not recommend this product.

This product sets makeup well, its very light and makes your skin nice and matte. Its a nice satin finish and not overly glittery.
If you follow the directions, it says to keep your puff in the container and turn it upside down and shake so you get that perfect amount so it doesn't all spill out, you can gradually build your amount.

I'll begin with my biggest gripe about this product- holy orange, Batman!!
I'm fair-skinned, not like albino fair-skinned, though. I'm used to choosing the lightest shade offered in any product (makes my life simpler, actually)- so I chose the "Translucent Light" shade. This stuff is so dark and orange and glittery that I could use it as a bronzer for crying out loud.
Yuck. Obviously I can't speak for the other shades, but if you're pale- run FAR away from this. If you're not pale, choose a shade lighter than you think you should!

This just sits on the top of my skin and makes me look dirty. I got the lightest color, and it was way too dark and orange on my skin. The packaging is also a pain, and the puff that comes with it is useless.

I've been using this for about a year with no real complaints. I use it to set my liquid foundation. I bought it in translucent since I only want it to set and not use it as a foundation itself.
Though it is translucent, it is slightly bronzerish and gives me a nice hint of color and some glow. Easy to blend, doesn't oxidize on my very fair skin. It has never caused me to break out or cause any irritation.
It does give me a slight boost of coverage. It lasts the entire day though ir doesn't control oil very well.
I don't use the puff it comes with because I found that it grabs too much product and gives a very uneven coverage. It's pretty useless so I use a brush.
It does tend to be very messy, there's powder everywhere every time I use this. It's impossible to get a small, neat amount. I leave the puff in there as an extra "cover" to try to cut down on the mess.
It does last FOREVER. You can hardly tell i've used the stuff. I'm maybe a 1/3 of a 1/3 through this thing.
I wouldn't buy again because it's nothing special. I'd like something with a bit more coverage and could be used on it's own. but for now, I'll use it until it's gone and it would be my backup powder if I couldn't find anything else.

I have been using this powder to set my liquid foundation for probably three years now. I don't remember what made me buy this, but I really haven't experimented with anything else since, just kept repurchasing. In the last several months, I started to get really interested in MUA and FOTD posts, and realized that my makeup looks really bad! I went in for a few makeup consultations, where I was told that my foundation was too dark. I have been through a dozen foundations, and always ended up with the same problems: too orange, t-zone too shiny, pores too obvious, blotchy, etc. A MAC MUA recommended switching to a powder foundation, so I hopped on here to check out some options before making a decision. I stumbled on the reviews for my go-to powder, and realized, THIS is what is ruining my makeup! I grabbed a cheap Rimmel powder at the nearest drugstore and used that to set my foundation, and the improvement blew me away. I have no idea why it didn't occur to me sooner. I give this powder 2 stars for value and for being fragrance-free and not breaking me out. But I will NOT buy this again!
