Like one of the posters below, I am (well, I guess WAS) a huge Tobago fan. Shringar is the next best thing - not the same as Tobago, but I do love this shade. This is my go-to daily shade. I have fairly pigmented lips, which makes it hard to find a neutral color that works well for day/night. Shringar does that for me.

Oh how I have looked for you!! The perfect sheer plum mauve pink with a pop. Looks so dark in the tube, applies a berry kissed plum neutral not too cool or warm~ Gorgeous color, will definetly invest some time with this one~ Im a fair dark blonde pale with NC25 skin so this might be much lighter or pink fuschia on more pigmented olive skinned gals~

I've been looking for the next best color to Tobago - a ylbb sheer beige plum with some shimmer - which has been discontinued. Shrinagar is not that replacement :) However worn with the Laura Mercer lip treatment, I do enjoy this color. It's plummy and a bit brighter than ylbb, and not overwhelming for fair skinned. I see shimmer in the tube but don't detect it on my lips. :-/ The NARS formulation feels light on your lips.

I am a huge fan of Nars Damage lipstick. So much so that I thought I have been wearing Damage for months when I happened to glance at the name and realized it was Shrinagar instead. Love this color. I am very fair with lips that have almost zero pigment. I dab this on as I only need a little of it to color my lips. It's very natural on me this way. If I put it on like a regular lipstick it would be too strong for my coloring (and age). I love Nars lipsticks and lip glosses. The products are all such high quality that I go back to Nars to purchase them again and again.

Gorgeous colour - looks scarily dark and goth in the tub, but imparts a plummy sheer colour on my lips. Its creamy, long lasting and lights up my face without the look of too heavy makeup, Definitely an HG in my books

This is my second NARS lippie purchase. I love this color - it has a bit more pop than my Damage, still good for daytime but I can see wearing at night also. It's my natural lip color with a little bang. NARS lips are so smooth and I love the way they make my lips feel. I highly recommend you go pick out a color today!

I *love* Shrinagar. I only bought it because I walked past it in Sephora and it grabbed my eye. The online swatches of it look scary but it's actually very natural when applied. I am porcelain pale with a cooler undertone, and it appears sort of like a sheer purple red on me. The glitter is not overdone. It does have a slight lemon scent that disapears quickly. I've only been wearing it on special occasions because it's $24 and the tube is pretty little. But I want to wear it all. the. time.

As with all the NARS sheers, Shrinagar is a pleasant surprise from how it wears compared to the color in the tube. This is an easy to wear and office-friendly fuchsia. It's a nice pop of color with neutral or brown eye makeup looks. Pick this one up!

I bough this lipstick thanks to Mac789's review below--I believe she's my lipstick twin. Anyway, this is a gorgeous raspberry-more-on-the-plummy-side with extremely subtle gold shimmer that just lights up my face. One coat gives an MLBB finish, but it can easily be intensified for a deeper berry shade. This will be a year-'round lipstick for me--it's versatile enough not to be confined to fall/winter wear. I think NARS has improved his sheer lipstick formula. I used to find it a bit drying, but don't have that problem with this shade at all. I'm very pleased and will repurchase.

Lovely my-lips-but-better colour, this mauve rose has a beautiful subtle shimmer. It brightens my face and brings out a natural beauty, especially combined with flushed cheeks (like in winter!). It is a little bit pink though so doesn't make your teeth look whiter. Pretty good staying power (I don't need to reapply during the day), however maybe not as moisturising as say the satin lippies. Definite keeper.

First time buying a NARS lipstick. I bought it at our new Sephora without trying it first and love it. It does look a little purple-ish in the tube, but it pretty sheer. Goes well with my skin tone. I think it's my new fav. A little pricey though, but a good buy.

I never thought to try Shrinagar until a NARS artist used it on me -- while it looks purple in the tube, it is surprisingly rosy on the lips. It can be layered for a deeper, more dramatic shade, but one coat leaves a very pretty, sheer rosy plum tint. It is definitely a cooler color. I wear this to work all the time -- it quickly became one of my favorites.

Love the color. Goes great with MAC mulch eyeshadow and a peach cheek. LOVE it and alternate between this and Love Devotion.

I love, love, LOVE this lipstick! It's the perfect sheer plum on me. With a light hand, it almost looks like the color of my lips but better. It definitely doesn't come out dark like it looks in the tube. NARS really knows how to make lipsticks and this one will always been in my makeup stash forever.

Very pretty berry/pink color; I have this, Afghan Red, and Fast Ride because I couldn't decide on which one to buy. They are all pretty close, but this one is the pinkest. It's still pretty sheer and is like a deeper, more pigmented and buildable version of Stila's Natalie (which is gone!). Built up it's gets pinker and pinker, while one swipe is a soft berry stain with reasonable staying power. Don't be scared by the glitter chunks either, they aren't noticeable at all.

This lipstick is absolutely STUNNING - It looks amazing with Sin Blush and with plum, purle and grey shades on the eyes. It is definitely a 'cool' colour - i'd descibe it as a raspberry-violet shade with a blue undertone - its almost like a sheer subdued fuchsia shade without screaming 'hot pink' - its a more naural, wearable fuchsia if that makes any sense! I will be repurchasing this for sure!!!!!!!

oh my NARS lippie addiction got to me last year.
I bought Fast Ride and thought at first it was a dud - a dupe of so many other purple/berry sheer lipsticks.. but it was not.
Same with Shrinigar -- I had it pegged for my fall/winter looks.. until a few days ago I was trying out some peachy brown shades on the apples of the cheeks accented with a bit of bright pink (eyes pastel lilac/purple/green)... and then I decided to use this color again. And it was gorgeous.
this is an amazing color because it is a chameleon and will work with many different color schemes..
will always repurchase but will always hate the NARS packaging.

This semi-sheer color gives a purple-tinged berry tint to my lips. The result is somewhat rosy, and not fuschia like I feared. On me, it's a mid-toned color that a bit more than a MLBB look. Brightens my face while still remaining soft. Color can be deepened with additional swipes. I had judged the color by looking at swatches. Good non-drying color for my lip tone.

This lipstick did not grab my attention when it first came out. I was put off by the color o the promo model and negative reviews. But I always come around to trying NARS products in person, and am glad I do. This flatters my olive-toned skin perfectly, and did not go on too pink or fuschia at all. With sheers like Shrinagar, you have to take into account your natural lip color too. Mine are healthy good rosy brown, and Shrinagar adds a bit of life to my face, without overwhelming any feature. It's not too cool, and I don't have to balance it with a cool blush, e/s, etc. It looks good alone. Love the slightly metallic finish, and as with NARS' lipstick introductions in recent years, it is non-drying and comfortable. That said, I wish they'd reformulate Hot Voodoo, a favorite of mine...

I just got this today and I really like it too. The formula is non-drying, the color is not boring and I always like the NARS packaging. I would buy it again if I ever ran out.
